    FInally a singleplayer which will enable me to test stuff out before doing it on official servers without the need of setting up a private server! Curious question about the sail cosmetics, does it remove the painted images already on sails?

    So i'm quiting the game.. and i imagine a shit load more will be quiting soon after.. but i would like to share with the devs, if you all even read this, on why large amounts of people are quiting the game. Boats -- The new system is cool, but has serious draw backs... Draw back one - It pigeon holes you into making "stock" boats with high defense/attk.. so it throws out the creativity of the previous build.. maybe you wanted that? HUGE draw back #2 however is far more game breaking... Max defense boats completely invalidate static defenses or any kind of ground defense... it can take literally 50 mortars to kill a full defense suicide galley that crashes into your harbor weilding medium cannons and 3k cannon balls... it wil sink most of your boats before you can stop it. Ground pvp - Pure proof, that no dev ever has played this game.... Mythical and legandary armor sets with + to HP are absolutely game breaking.. (players with 500-800HP).. Groups like team casualty fully exploit this and are actively trying to kill your game with it... I've watched as a guy stood completely still in front of a PUCKLE TOWER... i repeat... TOWER.. not one or 2 puckles but like 10 at least... all firing into this guys face.. and he simply tanked it.. tossed some nades at the tower and completely invalidated it... people wearing mythical plate can take shots from high end carbines and it does maybe 30 damage at best.. and when you add in spec'ed med kits.. You get invincible dudes who can ignore your defenses, and spam global with their toxic rhetoric about how good at the game they are.... because obviously walking around with what is basically the equivalent of god mode on, means you have mad skillz... This kind of game play ensures that the moment a company gets wiped by a hoard of next to immortal players... 90% of the defenders get salty and quit the game....i mean i wont lie... even the FAIR ground pvp is bad in this game... But you add in 100 people with legendary /mythic gear, and you get players going "I'd rather play farmville..." If you focused on making the ground pvp balanced and FUN, then last stands would actually be fun and motivate people to just start a new base instead of uninstalling your game. Exploits and cheating -- This kind of crap isn't punished harshly enough..... Tons of people exploited using the level glitch to get to insane levels... and you nerfed them to 100... THAT IS A REWARD NOT A PUNISHMENT ... At no point should exploits be tolerated , each and every person who used that exploit should have been driven back to level 1.... There are still plenty of exploited boats being used with stacked cannons/sails . You made it where the gunports dont open... Yet can be manually opened by players....meaning people still use it.... I have literally lost count of how many aimbotters and flying bears/animals ive ran into.. killing people just to have them teleport back to you and drop grenades everywhere....You want examples? Just watch closely at literally ANY team casualty raid.... they dont even attempt to hide it.. they literally use BAILING BOTS on their boats... we boarded the suicide galleon that attacked our harbor, and it had no less then 8 bailing bots that were completely unresponsive to getting attacked, they just sat there bailing water in unison ..This should be your first priority... not adding new content, not balancing current crap game play mechanics... it should be 10000000% focused on getting rid of hacks.. because news flash gentlemen... NOTHING MAKES PLAYERS QUIT A GAME FASTER THEN HACKERS.... I mean why the hell spend --any-- amount of time playing a game like this when its over-run with cheaters and exploiters... No one cares that its early access... if anything, now is the perfect time to spend alot of time on getting rid of hackers and exploits... you are under the misconception that people are quiting your game over lack of content... That isn't the case... you could add 6000 hours of content to the game but if you allow hackers and exploits to continue to exist... No one gives a damn.. Its not worth playing.

    I sincerely hope you're adding more NPCs, everywhere, and actual questlines in this singleplayer experience. I spotted maybe 2-3 people each session whenever I played back in the day and it made the world feel really empty.

    omg seriously???? i like the singel player option but wtf... why do u keep introducing unwanted shit into this game instead of fixing the stuff thats broken or introduce something to make this feel like an actual pirate game!??... sail cosmetics? and they dont even work properly?? either fix the god damn sails before more ppl leave or make a statement clearly saying A. we dont know how to fix or B. we simply dont care about them and they are not getting fixed!! this is so annoying!... and then more useless tames like seriously… a sea horse poison squirtgun!!??? this isnt pokémon!!?? put them in Ark they are not wanted heere!!! this is supposed to be a pirate game have u ever seen anything pirate related where they sail around with a freaking zoo on their ships?? have u seen any pirates ride stupid seahorses!!!!… when i hear pirate i think epic naval battles(which we cant have cus ur servers is operating from a Amiga5000 and half the stuff on ships is bugged or u cant use it cus there is a stupid meta) epic sword and pistol fights! (again u cant have this cus its simply not worth it cus of lag and stupid tames) hook on to enemy ships and board it with the rope ladders and grappling hooks and brawl it out on the ships!! the winner gets prisoners and a new ship... thats piracy!!!! not riding around on stupid bears and horses with flamethrowers! jump around on stupid crap or sail around on a seahorse squirtgun get ur shit together cus this is getting old really fast and u cant afford to keep loosing players this game is dieing and with the releases coming in the next couple of months it will be the last nail in the coffin for this game if u dont start to do something

    Now this is truly awesome stuff! Huge thank you to the devs for solving all the issues and implementing all the wishes of the players quiet fast and for adding an amazing single player mode that even allows you to sail the whole map, amazing!

    Well thank you very much for implementing a single player mode. It was very expensive for us to run private servers with 3x3/ 4x4 grid maps(to get nearly full game content) We here in germany (i assume europe wide)have a notable single player fan community for ARK/ATLAS. This will bring more players and money to this first class survival game. Dear Developers,please continue your precious work for this game , as you've done so far.

Unfurl new sails against the sky with new Sail Cosmetics. The new cosmetics for small and medium sails lend the appearance of a delicate Junk or Sampan rig with bamboo slats which harkens back to a Far Eastern inspired sail design preceding Western square sails. Opt for the new large sail cosmetic to imbibe your ship with a commanding battle galley aesthetic and make it stand out as the flagship of your fleet! New Creature: Sea Horse! The elegant Sea Horse can be found in the deepest trenches of the ocean. It has a calm demeanor unless provoked which will anger this aquatic species, resulting in a deadly attack. They have two known methods of poisoning their foes, it can either be through the form of a venomous bite in close quarters or a toxic substance shot from their snout at medium range. The poison is said to be quite potent with strong penetrative abilities that have been reported to even pierce through armor and golden age infused metals used to build vessels. While generally a solitary creature, it seeks out the assistance from its kin when in danger. A few daring adventurers have yearned to saddle this beautiful marine equine, however, due to its hostile nature when disturbed, it has been an impossible task. Single Player Mode We’re excited to say that we are currently working on a single player experience! This has been a common request from many of you and it is currently being prototyped by our team. We expect that we will have it ready to test on a beta branch in Mid July. This mode will be a true single-player mode; you won’t have to run a server in the background using up your precious memory! Every piece of content will be available, that includes the same massive world, with each and every island. With single player, there always comes the question for whether we plan to allow users to play in a listen/local server mode.     NA PVE i5 7600 3.5 ghz 16 gb RAM GTX 1070 SC 1tb SSD 900 UP 900 DOWN Been playing this game since Day 1 and have had zero issues with crashing or ping until the patch to activate 2x this last weekend. Now on every tile change I go from a ping of 65 to an immediate static 175 ping. In order to reduce ping to normal I've resorted to respawning at a home server then porting back to ship. When I spawn into a freeport my ping hits the 175 ping as well but upon death and port back to ship ping drops back to 65. Also, if at tile change my ping doesnt go to 175 the game crashes and my ship goes sailing forward until the game recognizes Im not in the game which, if you can guess, leaves all my stuff wide open to attack. First, WTF. Second, refer to first.

    You need to think of the reason why you want to have an island claimed. The only reason to own an island is if you want to control what is built there, and in many cases not even that. Anyone who builds a structure on a claimed island goes into the normal 10 destruction cycle if the owner doesn't tear it down within 24 hours. If you build on an unclaimed island, once it it claimed, they cannot destroy what you have built (unless you are gone for 10 days), but once claimed, any new construction they can 24 hour. With the new destruction mechanism if they haven't logged on for 10 days or rendered that asset in, it goes poof automatically. There is no difference between lawless and unclaimed. Anyone can build there, and anyone can be an ass. If people are obviously griefing you, you can file a ticket now and they usually get to it in a couple days. Make sure to attach screenshots and all the relevant coords and information. They REALLY don't like finding people messing with others on PVE. All taxes are additive now, so whatever you harvest on claimed islands doesn't come out of your totals. The only break owners get is a temporary reduction in their daily upkeep based on number of settlers.

    I totally agree with this I don't know what they were thinking adding this into the game when they want more people to return. If they really wanted it then put it in golden regions only but not every grid. I have lost count at how many times I've ran into a fleet of them with galleons and if a galleon gets a hit on you it can be game over in smaller ships. I'd be happy if there was none at all to be honest and rework how you get planks, cannons etc. When the fog comes in I stop immediately until its gone but if i have heavy weight i go along the server wall if i can. To many of these ships in the game, they are supposed to be rare not have fleets of them.

    Change the pack spawn of SoTD to back to single spawn, give players a 30 second immunity buff when zoning to a new grid, or a way to see what's on the other side before zoning (I think the buff would be easer)

    Hi all, since the patch today, my ping is high at 255. Doesnt matter on wich grid i am. After crossing the Border i got an Fatal Error, and now, after each Border my Ping is high. Also at home while doing nothing.. or on Sea, when nothing is arround me... My Pc is kinda fine enough. got a 1070 TI inside, etc. Anyone else got those Problems? Or maybe, someone knews a solution ?     Lets make a few key pointers before the discussion for those who were not part of the 100+ players that were a part of killing the kraken. -have 54 ships mostly brigs with at least 5-7 galleons -high ship volume the closer you get to H8 will cause multiple storm spawns attempting to destroy your ship -once making it there with your armada (and you will need one) randoms may end up spawning the kraken which puts up a wall stopping outside ships from entering so you must all enter in spawn zone at same time. -You will need to deal with many attacks. one of which may one shot your brig. -in addition it takes place in a storm which will cause damage over time while fighting and also cause you personally to take damage unless spec'd correctly -you will need lot of resources in order to repair Looking over this list you can tell this is a vary costly monster to attempt to kill. It costs resources and time to build and prepare. After all that 54 ships and an overloaded server to take this beast down. What rewards did we get for this hard work (some more then other organizer i mean you). Well nothing..........if you died. you might consider that to be ok right. But out of those 54 ships how many do you think survived? 40? 30? 20? nope try 3....and out of the entire armada of 54 ships only the crew (which were still ALIVE) got any reward. The rest of the armada got wasted time spent, sunken ships, and sunken resources. Maybe it was meant to be a risk a gamble risk all this for a chance of an reward. The question i ask myself is why would I want to try it again? Next question since now we know for a fact that if you die you get nothing how likely is it for people to work as a team to take this monster down again? Personally I don't recommend even attempting if you want something back for your hard work.

    Have you ever just been launched out the back of a boat? Running walking up a ramp and just Fly off like launched out of a cannon? Ended up in the water saying "WTF WAS THAT!?" as you watch the ship skirt off in the distance as the sharks come to say "hi!"? Well it may be do to your wall placements! yep MOTHER&^#%!@* WALLS! i have tested and reproduced this ANNOYING GLITCH at least 20 times successfully its sloped walls. Even if it BELOW the deck and you run, walk, attack, or even do a feat (power punch) in the right (or is it wrong?) spot and the ship is moving, you go FLYING (actually it seems you clip for a moment and the ship passes THOUGH you, or you though the ship (while you are immobile for a split second mid air). you do not even need to be EXACTLY on top or the edge. you can be within a tile of it and it can still happen. We had 1 boat with about 40 sloped walls and walking around from the front to back was a for sure way to get punted off (although if you were at the front you would normally stop clipping right at he back (some times the ones in the back would then hit a second later adding a nice daisy chain effect. place some triangle ceilings all over and place the slopped roofs even MORE and now you have a way for people who board you to get launched off with out even the need for puckles/swivel's (although all the ceilings and walls way 50X more) so those ramps launching you? (looked for a slopped wall near by) deck running bouncing you around? look for a slopped wall below your deck. ENJOY the bouncing fun! this bug also applies to tames. EDIT: Sorry ill add how this can be exploitable, (so they fix it faster) You sail in-front of a enemy boat grab 20-30 grenades keep the boat STRAIGHT have the enemy boat straight behind you and close (with in a boats length or two) run up and down the edge of a sloped roof facing our the back (ie the high point of the wall is facing the back of the boat) it may take a few trys, keep trying odd angles you will fly through your boat and end up on there lower deck (you seem to fall when you clip though your boat (guess the deck has a anti clipping code?))

    This is going to be a bad thing. I am very excited for ark getting a new map but man, this is bad timing. On this thought it is definitely time for atlas to start adding A LOT more islands. And in fact it is time to start adding in the continents that I was talking about. Like whole server sized islands, maybe even bigger. i am hoping console gets either atlas or valguero soon. Hopefully valguero first because I want console release of atlas to not happen till around the December time of the year. i think the atlas devs also need to look into making the world a lot smaller and having different maps as well. Yes I know the whole premise was 40k people on a map but that isn’t going to happen. Not to mention the max capacity is actually 33,750. Chop the world up and make new maps. That will be a good thing

    FIX THIS!!!! After joining atlas PING is 255 on Server with 2 PPL!!!! After a while it goes down to 175 Ping... when im Lucky after 10 min to normal.... JUST FIX IT ...... AND STOP ADDING USELESS ANIMALS JUST FIX THE GAME

    Nah auto decay is needed. Lets say you find an area that you wanna build. You do clean it up. But yet one hidden pillar in a rock you can't find makes it unbuildable. Auto Decay solves that problem. As for the people whining about it filling their logs. Demolish your taming traps and crap you leave behind. Problem solved. Foundation spamming. People quit. Problem solved.

    DITTO THAT, Have you seen the amount of players on Atlas compared to ARK, the game is dying and I love it so much (<3 the game not that its dying) . If they don't do something soon they are gonna lose even their most dedicated players/fans. I mean unless they wanna push everyone to another pirate game that wont be named. hehe Single player mode cool, u made like 100 people happy, now how bout the other 88% of your community?

    i agree with u.. and the content they are introducing no one is asking for... every1 want them to fix melee combat,fix ships, and introduce new ships,weapons and gadgets made for piracy… yet they introduce sail skins even though sails is bugged and doesnt work properly… and new tames… every1 on the pvp servers dont want new tames most want the big tames removed and only have stuff like cows and chickens... usefull tames not tames which are directly op in combat and therefor is the meta… but to be honest im afraid its too late to fix this game... ppl gave it a shot after the mega wipe but they keep on introducing lame shit and dont fix what is broken… hell they didnt even give us the freaking cosmetic hat for staying after the wipe as promised…. the next couple of months alot of new and more interesting games is getting released so im pretty sure ppl will just leave and only return when it gets fully release too see if its still just ark 2,0 if they are going to return at all... i played this over 1000 hours and im sad to leave the game but atm im really debating with myself if its worth keep playing cus obvisly they focus more on tames than piracy and all i wanted from this game was pirate stuff… i guess its back to Sea of Thieves the devs atleast listen to their players there….

    Same here since last patch. Solution currently just wait (do something which works in lag), it eventually goes down to normal after 30-60 mins if I not change grid. Funny thing had the same problem in ARK with some patches doing exact same thing - oh the good old times...

    Hi team, We have a busy harbour with ships parked pretty close. A few times I've whistled "comma" to put an NPC onto a station such as a sail or cannon and an idle crewman from a different ship has jumped over to man the post! I would like to see some proximity / range checks when choosing which NPC responds. Ideally, it wouldn't pull an NPC that's not on the same ship. If a player wants an NPC that's on the pier or another ship, they can whistle them over first. Related, I have two levels of cannons on the stern of my schooner (so on ceilings/walls). If I'm on 2 deck and whistle a cannon, an NPC from 1 deck will come up to man the cannon despite there being 4 NPCs on the same level, within 2 foundations. Cheers

    I think you can start the forge with wood and it will keep burning. Still seems to be a bug if you queue up ingots and the forge consumes your queue lol.

    This has been the state of the game since the very beginning. If a tame inside a building is left on Neutral, and the building it's in is attacked, it's head will clip through the wall/door/gate and players on the other side of the unbroken wall/door/gate can shoot or melee the tame's head and kill it. Literally everyone who's ever owned a tame on PvP servers knows this and honeycomb their building in order to work around this ridiculous and ongoing collision bug. Some players opt to not honeycomb and leave all pets on Passive - which means that, when the enemy players finally do break in, all of those ferocious lions, tigers and bears will stand there passively while the attackers kill them with harvesting tools. So, we have a situation where players can either leave their defensive tames on neutral and lose them to this collision bug, or leave them on passive and helpless. Considering how central tames are to the game, it's astounding to me that nothing has been done to address this in the past six months.

    Things look so good in general, this just feels like a wiring mistake that nobody points out, like the art guy made a believable boom with a believable sweep based on some real-world images or models, and the wiring guy just got the angles off by 90 or 180 degrees when plugging the animations into the ship template.

    I honestly haven't noticed the vitamins at all since season 1 ended. I will get hungry or thirsty long before vitamins give me any trouble. A quick suicide and right back to action. If I am going sailing I will ofc have a larder on board for the crew anyways, so its not even an issue. Certainly not worth putting any skill points into. No, hes not mean, hes just stating a fact. I grew up spending $50 per game. It was the going rate for every new title. Granted, they were finished titles and ready for market (up until about 7-10 years ago, damn you D3). $15 for a game is basically a free game. I don't even care if its early access because you are paying less than half of retail. It is an insignificant amount of money for the entertainment you get out of it. Best part is when it releases for $40, $50, $60 whatever they charge, you still have the game for the $15 you spent 2 years prior. Its so cheap in fact, that you would have to dissuade over 133 people that were certainly going to buy the game from doing so to have cost GS thousands of dollars (certainly doable with social media mind you). -CS

    Set the cannons to fire only at ships...still fires at fish. I don't understand this. Honestly, they should alter the code so that cannons do not even see fish. Who in their right mind is ever going to want their cannons to shoot at Sea Bass, Tuna, Turtles, Mantas, etc... Why would you want that? I wouldn't even want them to shoot at Sharks. If I want something to shoot at sharks, I will put Ballistas on the ship. I liked that S+ allowed us to set the guns to fire only at specific Dinos. You want to shoot Rexes that invade your base, but you don't want them shooting at every last Ptera that comes in range, for instance. They should do the same thing here. Allows us to pick exactly what we want our defenses to shoot at. Lions, Cobras, Tigers, Wolves that get into your base? Yes, shoot them please. Cows, bears, horses, etc.? No, do not shoot them. Fish? No. SotD, yes please...fire away.

    Not sure why you are having issues. These are default PC whistle hotkeys. Attack this target...period [ . ] All Passive...semicolon [ ; ] All Neutral...dash [ - ] All move to this location...comma [ , ] You follow...[ T ] You stay...[ Y ] All follow...[ J ] All Stay...[ U ] Not sure what others there are, that you might feel that you need, but you do not need to use any dropdowns, or anything like that. Just check the key binder to see what key is for which whistle.

    There shouldn’t be auto decay to begin with. Another bad idea. If the timer runs out someone else can demolish something. That simple. If they want the area they can go clean it up. It is called ownership. Smh.

    You dont have to be in a large company to do the kraken or the ice dungeon... THe ice dungeon has already been 3 manned and the kraken was something you can snipe by ramming into the circle.

    The issue started to happen when you fixed that so called structure in the air or without foundation (even there was a foundation coz otherwise it wouldn't be built)! I really don't understand why you had to "fix" (=broke) that stupid small and unsignifying element in this game when there were much more serious bugs in your game to fix ?!?! This game will die for good very soon like REND and that garbage of Dark and Light that looks similar to ATLAS from how things gone in the end on development !!! This real mess was also caused by the stupid people of the PVP mode and all issues of their retard gameplay because PVP culture is no more in worldwide gaming industry … just RUST / PUBG like PVP. SUGESTION : Make ATLAS ONLY PVE and maybe then this will be a real masterpiece … until then RIP !!!

    Saminside, real sailing things, like apparent wind, would be overkill for this game. Also, it is not what we are asking for,here, because this sort of requirements will never be fulfilled. Developers, please, place align boom properly, set right boom angle for weight and handling sails, right now it is very unnatural and confusing. I am not using triangle sails only becuase they are "brocken" and look not natural.

    They nerfed torpedoes 4 days after launch to comfort Megas or? Stop crying man, they won't balance the game about single player. There are no megas anymore, just a bunch of big companies and a lot more medium sized companies and smaller companies. Torpedoes? 5-man company can get them with ease.

    I think many players, or all. agree with me: It is impossible to steer the ship and turn sails at the same time. Therefore, I propose to transfer control of the sails from Shift+A/D to Q/E. This will allow to control the wheel and the sails independently, and not choose what you need. Or add the ability to assign the buttons responsible for the rotation of the sails.
