We may not reply to everything and sometimes things take a little more time than you'd like but I can reassure you that we are aware of what's happening along with community feedback and will respond via a patch appropriately (when appropriate). Can we integrate everything the community would like or has an issue with? We need to analyse it within the context of our design, pipelines and technical requirements, which is the biggest factor for how and why things can or can not be changed or implemented. Our investigative process in relation to enforcement and the outcome of such is not something we generally divulge publicly. We do take enforcement action for griefing where we deem it appropriate and we will continue to do so (including dev-wipes and bans). As we've stated previously, addressing such things via technical solutions is our priority in order to prevent these issues moving forward. We've taken note of the torpor-related quirk and we'll be looking into it. Thank you. I'm happy to report that the SoTD issue on PvE servers will be addressed in our upcoming deployment:
  2. This thread was created two hours after the submission of a ticket related to a failed Company merge on a PVE network. Our Customer Service crew rarely respond to a ticket in such a short amount of time. Exceptions to this more pertain to incidences where myself or Jat step in ourselves when the issue reported is time-sensitive and has potential wide-spread consequences in regards to the overall playerbase. Along with being Community Managers, we are on the Live Services team and identifying and working to repro and resolve game breaking bugs in a broader sense are aspects of our roles along with investigating player reports and Enforcement in the more complex and far reaching cases. Whilst our resources lie on the side of technical solutions in order to address the underlying issues and, ideally, resolve those we do view Customer Service as an intrinsic aspect of the overall player experience. We've recently expanded our Customer Service resources and we will look at that again as we progress in our development cycle. I think it is worth noting that I advised this player that I would assist them in getting their friend's items and creatures transferred across to the new Company myself if it hadn't been resolved by our GM team by tomorrow.

  6. Ships can't be teleported via Admin commands. It sounds like something we're currently looking into to be honest. DM me with your network and server anyway as it may help with gathering data.

    In response to your question, no, that's a little tinfoil hat-ish. Also we can find out the steam id of players we are investigating via other methods This might be something you'd be interested in, a mod made by the community which resolves characters which do not display in game.
  8. If you are a solo player, submit a ticket and a GM will help you get your Company back.
  9. Following up on character loss issue; we've fixed some cases where people were unable to connect to their characters with v15.67 and we are continuing to investigate reports. It is a priority for the team. In the interim, we recommend creating a new character if you are still effected as we cannot restore them at the moment. We appreciate your patience while we work through this and we're sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. If the character you lost was the owner of your Company, please submit a support ticket here so we can have a GM assist you in regaining ownership. If you would like to tell us the steps leading up to this occurring for you, please do so as it may be useful to our ongoing investigation. Include the Network on which you were playing at the time and the server. Please keep it concise ie: Network/Server/Steps prior the the issue: Did you experience this: - When logging in after a deployment - After death - After transition And for those of you who managed to get your characters back, did that occur when: - Relogging - After death - After transition Thank you guys.

    OP, I've been given your full ban record to review. You were banned for extreme racism in game with clear evidence. Your ban will not be revoked. This thread is getting a little off-track so I'll go ahead and lock it now.
  11. An emergency maintenance took place at 09:00 AM UTC which resulted in all our Official Servers being brought offline whilst we investigated a technical exploit. As a result of the exploit, our Official NA PVP Network, The Kraken’s Maw, had received a rollback to approximately 05:45 AM UTC specifically as we were able to backtrack precisely when the issue started to occur with our logging system. All other networks were brought back online with no changes. The damage done was caused by a technical exploit which we have now protected against, no administrator accounts were compromised in this situation. We apologize for the inconvenience and we thank for your patience and understanding during this time. In regards to action taken, multiple accounts have been banned in relation to this, by ourselves and BattlEye, though the evidence and our extensive logging indicates that this group does not have any specific ties to any one company, but are instead targeting streamers and large or well-known companies. We will continue our investigation and will take action on all involved accounts and companies when we learn of their involvement immediately. To compensate, we’ll be extending the 2x Bonus Rates until Wednesday. Please be assured that this is a priority for the team and we are working extensively to ensure that it does not occur again. We are investigating multiple companies for their possible relation to a small group of players who have recently broken our Code of Conduct on our Official Network through the use of an illegitimately obtained admin account and game exploits (which have been patched in prior weeks). Multiple accounts have been banned in relation to this, by ourselves and BattlEye, though the evidence indicates that this group does not have any specific ties to any one company, but are instead targeting streamers and large or well known companies. We will continue our investigation and will take action on all involved accounts and companies immediately.
