Amazing how fast you were able to contact 50 Million console Players And Asked them about their opinion. You will Save the Game. Also travelling from bed to bed is a amazing idea aswell. Just Need to get rid of oceans And Maybe add More Dinos.

well done grapeshot, you officially broke the game, cannons don't work on army of the damned anymore, think about it, A massive cannon ball, a ball of steel fired right at the undead doesnt work... but little baby pallets fired out of a blunderbuss does?? the bear cannon is now worthless in pve. why not fix the treasure maps instead of nerfing the entire game, and effectively breaking it for a lot of players i assume... make the treasure maps give less xp or make the army of the damned harder, sommething like that. but no you decided to make the cannons worthless against the army of the damned, this is the most stupidist thing in the entire history of game "fixes"

I like the second option. Army of monkeys tossing feces is hilarious to watch and listen to. On the PTR with 6x I tamed 30 or so monkeys. I had them follow me and I targeted them using T whistles. The best was sending them after flying birds. 30 monkeys tossing poop into the air like anti-aircraft fire and hearing the accompanying shitting sounds was absolutely hilarious. It was also fun watching them kill a high level giraffe without a single monkey dying.

... You’ve *got* to be kidding, right? You were the guy complaining constantly about how the old system made slaves of everyone. I mean it was pretty much like clockwork: Get up, make my cup of coffee, log in and read 3 posts minimum of you sarcastically referring to everyone as slaves. Now people have the option to own their own island and you don’t like it and say the old way was better. Are you secretly all my ex gf’s?

It was cool, when you got 2-3 tornados.. or typhoons.. they hit you for a little damage if you got too close.. Now.. you get 15-25 of them.. they surround your ship, smashing it so hard you can loose half your plank strength from a single storm. Get hit by sotd in a storm.. and you can easily loose planks. In the 3 storms I tried to traverse tonight, I was killed 3 times, in the first, 4 times in the second, 3 times in the third.. can't dodge them, can't sail around them, can't cut sails and just wait it out.. and in equatorial you can get 2-3 storms per day. Making sailing extremely treacherous. Now I get timesinks, I get resourcesinks.. but this.. this is taking the piss. Let's go back to 2-3 tornados at a time.. let them do some damage, maybe 2-3% per strike, so storms maybe do 10% overall. It's still significant enough to force repairs after storms. Esp with the rate sotd now spawn and how they spawn. We had a guy today get wiped out in a storm, he was hit by sotd as well. It's part of the gameplay.. but it shouldn't be so severe people are loosing ships. Storms should increase your sailing experience.. not ruin it.

The old claim system was never going to work, it didn't work at the time and it sure as hell couldn't have gone live as it was. The new system isn't perfect, and in some ways I think it's better, but at least it's not categorically worse. This system has features in place that allow new players to find a place to set up and build a base. That's essential, because if you lock new players out you're strangling the life out of your own game. That's not to say the new system doesn't need work but it's a start anyway.

But Don't worry they are adding even more islands with the next update so there will be even more islands that cost too much and are left abandoned. With the current tiny player base they could easily go back to the old claim system now without any problems.

this was meant to be an mmo with 40k players they release the dedictated server files players split off , they allow private servers players split off , now single player , they have slowly killed there own vision with there decisions, a giant MMO was there original vision u don't release all the server files and allow private servers for an MMo of this scale to succeed ,they needed to keep the players on their own server playing their vision of the game ,

Yes.. it’s intended. Its also absolutely ridiculous! Honestly cannot even guess the devs thinking behind this absurd change. Removes all creativity and strategy from maps and just turned it into “bring a bear”

    - Cannon bears out range NPC emplacements - Submarines can drain ship/emplacement ammo as they are targeted but cannot be hit while underwater - High HP builds can tank defenses and destroy them with grenade spam The list goes on and on. Essentially the only defense is to be online and actively fighting the invaders. Otherwise no matter what you can do they will be able to outsmart the defenses and use the game flaws to their advantage. The game has aspirations of having this huge player run economy with the way the resources are spread out, the intent is to encourage trading and exploration. Though what the designers intend and what the players do are most often vastly different. Hard to say if they are listening to their player base or if they hope that by pushing out new content they will get enough people onboard that they will end up staying. The game population is sickenly low, with half playing on private servers and the remaining half split between 4 Official servers. Every passing month there is a consistent decline in the population. They really need to start listening to their community.

Well as a title says. I am starting to get really annoyed about it. Again lost a f*cking full cargo bear on sea. Can you do something about it? I know that i could have notice it, but the thing is that I should not babysit f*cking tames for a whole trip. Why is this sh*t still happening after half a year is beyond my comprehension same with players going through back of the ship while running on roof/stairs on a boat. I cant even count how many tames I lost to this random disappearing.

Just wanted to share this little tidbit of information I was informed of, to quickly drop all of, say, berries from a giraffe or elephant, simply search "berry" in the filter so only berries display, and then hit the "Drop All" button. It respects the filter!

Let's kill them with melee weapons instead. Better idea, only fists will be able to hit them. Punching them to death!! Yeahh. Great idea, that would be the next patch note. Having to climb mountains or doing bugged maps with AoD inside buildings or mesh was stupid enough, now you completely remove options to do maps. For what? Megas again. Megas exploited swivels in golden age on pvp servers. Instead or preventing swivels on boats do damage or receive exp from AoD. Because you have incompetent programmers, you deny all damage except from tames, melee weapon and guns. It's that difficult to place an IF statement in the code for swivels in ships?. In the process of fixing it in the easy way, just changing the values for swivels to 0% against AoD, you killed your PVE players base and people who enjoyed doing maps on PVP. What make it difficult to make a map is sailing 15 grids for a mastercraft. Not the map itself. Now you kill the only thing I enjoyed about the game. No incentive of keep playing. 900 hours for nothing. Thank you for ruining the game for me. For the people who stay good luck. Good luck trying to place a bear inside a building and getting out, with no granades. PD: yesterday I was playing blackwake and I remembered what is good pvp fight with no bullshit 900 hp guys that tank tower puckles or suicide gallys with 300% resistance obliterating ships.

So i'm quiting the game.. and i imagine a shit load more will be quiting soon after.. but i would like to share with the devs, if you all even read this, on why large amounts of people are quiting the game. Boats -- The new system is cool, but has serious draw backs... Draw back one - It pigeon holes you into making "stock" boats with high defense/attk.. so it throws out the creativity of the previous build.. maybe you wanted that? HUGE draw back #2 however is far more game breaking... Max defense boats completely invalidate static defenses or any kind of ground defense... it can take literally 50 mortars to kill a full defense suicide galley that crashes into your harbor weilding medium cannons and 3k cannon balls... it wil sink most of your boats before you can stop it. Ground pvp - Pure proof, that no dev ever has played this game.... Mythical and legandary armor sets with + to HP are absolutely game breaking.. (players with 500-800HP).. Groups like team casualty fully exploit this and are actively trying to kill your game with it... I've watched as a guy stood completely still in front of a PUCKLE TOWER... i repeat... TOWER.. not one or 2 puckles but like 10 at least... all firing into this guys face.. and he simply tanked it.. tossed some nades at the tower and completely invalidated it... people wearing mythical plate can take shots from high end carbines and it does maybe 30 damage at best.. and when you add in spec'ed med kits.. You get invincible dudes who can ignore your defenses, and spam global with their toxic rhetoric about how good at the game they are.... because obviously walking around with what is basically the equivalent of god mode on, means you have mad skillz... This kind of game play ensures that the moment a company gets wiped by a hoard of next to immortal players... 90% of the defenders get salty and quit the game....i mean i wont lie... even the FAIR ground pvp is bad in this game... But you add in 100 people with legendary /mythic gear, and you get players going "I'd rather play farmville..." If you focused on making the ground pvp balanced and FUN, then last stands would actually be fun and motivate people to just start a new base instead of uninstalling your game. Exploits and cheating -- This kind of crap isn't punished harshly enough..... Tons of people exploited using the level glitch to get to insane levels... and you nerfed them to 100... THAT IS A REWARD NOT A PUNISHMENT ... At no point should exploits be tolerated , each and every person who used that exploit should have been driven back to level 1.... There are still plenty of exploited boats being used with stacked cannons/sails . You made it where the gunports dont open... Yet can be manually opened by players....meaning people still use it.... I have literally lost count of how many aimbotters and flying bears/animals ive ran into.. killing people just to have them teleport back to you and drop grenades everywhere....You want examples? Just watch closely at literally ANY team casualty raid.... they dont even attempt to hide it.. they literally use BAILING BOTS on their boats... we boarded the suicide galleon that attacked our harbor, and it had no less then 8 bailing bots that were completely unresponsive to getting attacked, they just sat there bailing water in unison ..This should be your first priority... not adding new content, not balancing current crap game play mechanics... it should be 10000000% focused on getting rid of hacks.. because news flash gentlemen... NOTHING MAKES PLAYERS QUIT A GAME FASTER THEN HACKERS.... I mean why the hell spend --any-- amount of time playing a game like this when its over-run with cheaters and exploiters... No one cares that its early access... if anything, now is the perfect time to spend alot of time on getting rid of hackers and exploits... you are under the misconception that people are quiting your game over lack of content... That isn't the case... you could add 6000 hours of content to the game but if you allow hackers and exploits to continue to exist... No one gives a damn.. Its not worth playing.

This change removes about 2/3 of the fun left in the game for me, unfortunately. My daily routine used to consist of seeking high level maps, travelling the insane distances involved in finding them, using it as an excuse to have adventures along the way, and then engineering a creative way to engage and destroy the undead in the peculiar location they popped up, whether it be a remote mountaintop inaccessible to tames, a craggy valley with highly constricted exit points, or a spawn point too near player structures to effectively build any ramparts. Until this patch, I assumed they knew how fun using all the tools they gave us against the undead was, but it is clear now that they only intended us to fight them one, boring way. 75% of the maps I used had something unique about placement that made tames either impossible, or extremely dangerous to use, and I lost one too many dear tames to them to consider that the first line of attack, or even the second for that matter. My character is the crafter, so I don't have any stats to consider melee, and even my mythical ranged weapons cannot output the DPS required to destroy the biggest warriors, even when I could get someone else from my small guild to help fight. So I basically needed to use everything they just nerfed. I have killed undead using TNT minefields, grenades, puckles, swivels, flame turrets, mortars, catapults, traps, pits, murderholes, and usually a combination of several. It sometimes took me over an hour to set up, and there was always an unexpected snag that made it desperate and interesting, but it was always mayhem, always glorious, and always FUN. Not sure how much longer I can remain interested in the game now with this gone. Also, they introduced a bug where the Undead won't despawn if you can't kill them, so if you can't win by the timer, it spawns an entire new group in addition to the ones you couldn't kill, making it even more difficult the second time. Shame that in one fell swoop they killed a fun subgame that they apparently didn't even know they had.

Ah yes... Typical move by Jat, Jeremy, Wildcard(Grapeshot) etc. It is a darn shame they nerfed something as benign as that, considering powerstone zones are hunted frequently for people doing the trench, taming on the island, doing powerstones or leveling up their boats. You might get really lucky and not get jumped and sunk. It's a pretty even risk/reward if you consider the time investment, nearly beaching themselves, and having to kite critters all day in the hopes a boat sailing by doesnt sink you They keep taking the sand out of the sandbox for no reason other than just because. Let's ignore the elephant in the room, people exploiting player levels to go beyond cap, duping, mega companies abusing the hell out of freeports to store assets, animals, etc. Rampant aimbotters, ships out there exploiting sails by have 6+ on a brig, etc. Instead gentleman, let's not focus on the real issues, but the superficial ones, like players utilizing perfectly respectable mechanics to level up a ship using creative methods that dont exploit or abuse any unintended mechanic, but instead using Anti-personnel and anti-animal weaponry exactly how they were intended to be used, to shoot those things. Lets focus on instead on banning people for being "toxic" with no real definition of what that is or means but handle it on an inconsistent case by case basis(this takes a lot of time, and is very inconsistent), instead of for duping, cheating, exploiting, and developing any way to detect, track or monitor actual illicit behavior, because they don't know how to do that either. Never mind how ship grappling brings giant ships traveling at high speeds to a sudden stop for *reasons*, never mind how in large fleet fights, you cannot effectively salvage any ship because for some reason a shipwreck spawns 2-3 sharks for no reason, and when you are having a concentrated fight and multiple ships sinking it's pretty easy to have 12+ sharks magically appear, Oh wait why doesnt you warship having a diving platform?(Uh because it's a warship, also I cannon bear'd that entire fleet in a walled off harbor, and didnt get any loot because there are a bazillion sharks in there now). How about Torpedos? Eh! EH? They're great eh! Great new content bound to boost our playerbase! You know HUGE COST and they uh.... travel slow and dont do any worth while damage for their cost/effectiveness. No one uses them. And there there is your amazing melee combat, First it was brass knuckles and your feat and you could knock hordes of people out in 1-2 power strikes, now it's the spear and a fully spec'd softspot and not only can you knock everyone and their mom off of anything theyre mounting, you can completely knocking them out in a solid 2 hits. Nerfing the ship guns/cannons vs. critters and nerfing respawning on newly placed beds are what the game needs... GG 2-3k and dropping peak players. "At least the game has 4k graphics" - Jeremy Stieglitz. #priorities, @Jatheish

Trying to image why this would be intended. What exploit could this prevent? How would it make game-play too easy? Is there lore attached to this explaining why AoD are immune to bows? Seems a bit lame to me. I would never use one for AoD, but removing the option completely seems a bit odd.

Have never used a cannon to do a treasure map. Have never had an issue soloing masterwork maps that yield 2000 gold on 1x Soloed a map on x3 that yielded 8000 gold without ever firing any form of projectile. My experience seems to indicate that this change has not broken the game.

There is a much bigger stupidity here! EVERY ship produces its own tornadoes. We had a big fleet in H8 and the Kraken had cooldown when the storm started. The fleet was massively damaged by the incredible number of tornadoes and tried to disperse when the Kraken CD expired. 30% were then in front of the wall and the rest was allowed to fight with heavily damaged ships. Atlas like Ark, the developers stick to their crappy weather system as if it was their life. Tornadoes, fog, cold front, heat wave, sandstorms, etc ... These effects are just bothersome and annoying, but even at Ark, the players talked fuzzy. If the developers would play their own game, they would have long since realized how annoying some effects will be after some time ...

Sets the heading the NPC will sail to be the direction the ship is currently pointing. Useful as the first auto-pilot command or to cancel the current rotation towards another set NPC auto-pilot heading (ie stop turning the 90 degrees to the right that I just set).

I Dont mind People bringing constructive critism, but wthout playing a Game You just cant do that. You wont be a doctor cause you read about it. Im even sure Most Players Dont know what they want. No, that is the unfortunate thing about console. With ark, pc players got all the mods. Console people do not. We got the center map and rag. They finally started adding some of the s+ aspects but we don’t get mods even when the game is supported. they simply need to make claims go away because the game will die just as fast as pc if these crap claims/upkeep ideas stay in place. literally the worst ideas ever created in the history of gaming smh.

Hmm. I have to agree that this is a bad direction for the games development at this time. and is almost certainly going to harm the game. firstly, it was marketed as an MMO, why people are requesting it, and why the devs are doing it is beyond me! The devs are really struggling to separate the mechanics of PvP and PVE as it is. When they tweak the game for one it usually has an undesired effect of the other. (When they did the wipe, they played with the idea of completely separating the mechanics of PvP and PVE then decided not to, shame, they really should have.) As the game stands, i forsee that within 2 weeks of SP release the forums will be inundated with people complaining about lack of content and boredom on SP, or that they’re struggling with some of the aspects that are not designed for SP, like the kraken. The only way I can see SP working long term is if there are modes, that can, for example make atlas a true survival game, or even timed goals and challenges. it will also slow down overall development. I sincerely hope I’m going to be proved wrong, but I doubt it sadly.

Grats......you got a ....private server? Come build all the amazing things you can build in PvE. Except this time no one can see it hahahaha! I would agree you dont need any real buildings as a SP game, but by that lodgic you dont really need much if any for PvE mode as it is. I imagine a PvE player builds to show off what they can do. If this is true, then wtf would you do in SP mode? BTW, so glad devs are spending the resources to accommodate all the players who DONT want to play the MMORPG they are supposed to be developing. New ships......nah, I know most people playing this game want a SP mode first. Thats what this MMO needs. That will draw in lots more MMO players. Thats what all the good MMOs did, er.....wait..... This is fucked.

After you put an NPC on the wheel, a new wheel menu item called "Autopilot" will show up on the ship menu wheel. It has options to sail with the wind, cardinal compass directions, and the like. However, personally I do not use that menu and there is a much easier way with the whistle menu. After your NPC is on the wheel and you are un-anchored, hold your whistle key down (default T) until the whistle wheel appears. You will see new options for "Fully open sails", "Fully close sails", and "Sail towards my direction". These will be your goto options for almost everything you want to do. Look in the direction you want to sail, pull up the whistle wheel and choose "Sail towards my direction". The NPC will turn the ship to where you are looking and rotate the sails to best wind (btw, doing both at the same time, faster than you can do it manually). NPC will keep managing the sail rotation to keep best wind for you. You can use these whistle commands from anywhere on your ship (on deck, crow's nest, at your crafting station below deck, on a podium, etc). I recommend climbing up to the crows nest to get the extra render range (you can see SotD, shipwrecks, and floatsom from MUCH farther), listen to the wind whistle by, and navigate your ship from just the whistle menu. You can spyglass floatsom, sail towards it, and stop your ship right next to it all without leaving the crow's nest. If you have not tried out an NPC wheelman ... I highly recommend it, and you won't go back to manually sailing your ship in most cases. Same with Sextant buff, another thing that I cannot live without.

Decreasing the low wind ratio is a bad idea imo. It adds depth to pvp fights. If there was no low wind, why bother turning sails? hell why bother having AI on them while we're at it? I'm a good 1300 hours into atlas, I've always been a builder since ark and atlas allows me a whole new dynamic in those regards. Making it easier for a few isn't going to help the system currently in place. Many are getting around fine. The long journeys you do are suppose to be there. If we were able to just TP a boat or zip at mach speed across, the game would get boring reallllllly fast considering how fast you would run out of stuff to do. Atlas imo is turning out fine and the current sailing system works fine. Every time I see a post talking about sailing is boring or it takes too long: your either A not organized or B overweight like hell and what should be a 7-15 minute sail (light and good wind vs mid weight and poor'ish winds) is becoming a 30-45 minute endeavor. Soon enough they'll fix the BP sails to allow their stated speed increase and you'll have more options at a faster boat aside from current builds possible. Example: My armored combat birg skirts across a grid in about 5-10 minutes wind dependent. Its not super light weight and not overloaded either. Now compare this to my moronic crew member (that shall remain nameless) loaded a galleon with a shipment of metal for us. Problem is he was carrying 85% of his max weight. What should have been an honest 5 minute sail from one grid to another turned into a hour long venture of me guarding him with my sails at 25% open I'll agree though, yes it can be a bit boring on the open waters and yes going 5-7 grids (max you'll go) does take planning and time. When I plan long trips I take into account the wind, time it may take to get there and what can I do along the way. Maps, sunken ships and SOD's if they are good enough. So in turn I plot not a straight course but a curved course to take into account the wind. If thats not good enough for you, I've been buggin the devs to add card games in so we can have casino boats floatin around. I'd love to play a game of blackjack on a long sail to pass the time.

I don't take it personal? So what I said is a mega is composed of multiple 500 man companies. This was not my PoV though I thought a mega was a big tribe I was corrected by multiple sources, multiple times, The way it was explained is why would they not just call it a large tribe and I was like oh I see. Megas are actually an alliance of multiple large tribes. So I will use CSTG as an example at one point they were rumored to have 2500-3500 people. That dwarfs a company of 500. I think you need to learn to read better because you have problems comprehending what I write. You also keep trying to point out my PoV is this and that, like you know anything about my PoV. I believe you don't even know your own PoV... I pointed that out in a post already though... now you have a post of... well I fail to see a point you are making, it's just you trying to like puff your chest out at me cause I hurt your feelings or something finished off with some ratios... I got a good laugh out of it though My goal is to see that the game is challenging for people. All content currently can be completed in a 3 day weekend as a solo player if you know what to do. That is 0-100% being the only person in your tribe. This game really only requires 3 skills to make it easy. 1) Ability to perform the tasks required. (more people in your tribe diminishes this.) 2) Ability to find information to achieve a goal. (more people diminish this because they can explain it) 3) Ability to network with other people. (more people will make it so you need less people... duh...) Those things right there make this game way too easy even as a solo. If you are missing 1 of those 3 then this game can be challenging. Time for math so 2500 to 500 is a 5:1. The servers cap around 150 though... so 1/2 of 150 should be the limit to have 2 capped tribes fight... so the limit should be 75... wait a minute.... (This is an actual PoV I have) The tribe limits have nothing to do with what people want but are based on server performance and limitations to hardware. Dude I thought we big with 100 members and I thought we were wealthy prewipe... then I saw the way Dynasty was throwing resources around like they were nothing. It was a humbling experience. Now as a group of 25 how do you feel about the difficulty of the game? ~Lotus

Not sure if that will save the game for pc but for console it will be more than welcome. If the pc guys want to keep claims that is cool but once atlas releases for console we have no interest in having an upkeep for our land. no claims, no upkeep. Console people are looking for the stand alone ark that atlas is. There are no Eve players on console. There are no any other pc only games on console lol. we are looking for ark. I want to build what I want where I want and so do a lot of others. Got on to ark with my buddy and decided to go to multiple ark servers asking them what they wanted. Yeah they don’t want claims or upkeep either. you have a chance to do things right on console. Please don’t mess this up. once again pc guys. If you want claims and upkeep, fine keep it. They would be very stupid do do claims on console. The main source of players for atlas is ark players. It’s time to make this the ark it was supposed to be. All you have to do is get rid of claims and upkeep and atlas will be a success on console. And guess what? I am a console player so I do know better than any pc player. this is where I know better than anyone on here And btw go ahead and add fast travel to console as well. We don’t want the sailing aspect. We want a very big ark world
