    Hope you're having a great day I know this is already on the grapeshot list of things to be discussed but it's becoming more and more of a problem everyday on our server and I'm desperate to get a .ini configuration. I see it being done in up to three different ways: Limit total number of claims per person (Probably not) Limit total number of claims per tribe per cluster (a fix we can work with) Limit total number of claims per tribe per region (this would be awesome) Thank you for everything you do!

    I am tired of the name changing. Some groups change their name, build a ship, go raid, and then change their name again. This really ruins what passes for PvP in this game. If somebody raids you, you want to know who it actually was. So here's an idea. I know they aren't likely to take that ability away, so allow us to see a different log...a PvP log. Right now we have just one log, and if somebody is tearing something down to build something else, you soon lose a lot of that log. So instead, have a separate log for PvP actions, and allow that log to update when you view it, or select for it to update. So let's say you are raided by Scurvy Dogs, a week ago, and now you are ready to retaliate, Scurvy Dogs change their name to Rum Bandits...OK, you check the logs, and because the company name associated with the raid is shown by showing the name associated with the company ID the person was in at the time of the raid, they can no longer hide by changing company names. In other words, when the PvP action is done, the system knows the company ID, so that is retained in this line of info, so it can update to the new company name. This info needs to be available for a good while. Why is this important? PvP is more fun when there is a purpose to it. More fun to attack somebody because they attacked you, than just attacking somebody because they just happen to cross paths with you. More fun when the other guy is wearing the black hat.

    I'm often pretty abrasive so here's some positivity to help balance my checkbook. I'm really looking forward to kitbashing cosmetics! It's not easy to make a variety of apparel that actually mesh well together in random combination by design. ARK was seriously lacking in this department and it seems like you guys plan on going a lot further this time around. From the sounds of things most (if not all) will be progressive unlocks. Thanks for not charging $5 for a skin it means more than you might think. Keep up the good work! What are you looking forward to with this months first (or only) major update? The Missions? The deep sea content? Player Shops perhaps? Assuming they meet the deadline

    We are bigger than ChemB but yeah xD Dude im playing for 500 Hours, im on 300 HP and had jouneyman Plate armor with good armor stats on it. you cant tell me he did pulled my 300 hp outta that in 1 hit you fucking smartass xD Also being naked and shot and still running 1 hitting ppl seems kind aweird to me. Noclipped=Flying through walls. Idiots like you disgust me. I love how you assume we ever shittalked them. You know nothing man, stop acting like you are anything. "Lack of gameknowledge" is it called to let others know that these guys hack & exploit obv. You wanna tell me about gameknowledge and you dont even know what noclipping means lmfao

    Have you created an accordian but don't have the ability to play it? Check out my Autohotkey song macro tool: http://delayatlas.com/songmaker All you have to do is install Autohotkey, create your song, copy the text to a text editor and save the text with the .ahk extension like "mysong.ahk". Double click the file and press F12 or whatever toggle key you chose, and your character will start playing the song! The toggle key will pause/unpause the script.     Made this handy manual by going around freeports to pick up all none normal (flint, stone wood, vit a, vit c, etc) resources. If I missed any feel free to add.     If i have to stop to swing a melee weapon, a horse drawn swivel gun/cannon should have to stop to shoot. Damn thing should not be a mobile anti infantry tank.

    Tbh they should remove large cannons from ships and only allow cannons in the gun ports of ships. Would make balancing them easier and remove alot of the monstrosities we see atm Should be noted that they should then introduce actual ship parts with forward pointing gun ports and add gunports on the backside of the galleon

    Jesus man. You want to fix everything all at once. They can't u know? They don't have team large enought to fix all things in like a month. Thats why EA phase is planned for 2 years. Look at patches, they are fixing things all the time.

    Why bother writing a code of conduct... Clearly nothing will happen. Do it right back to them. Block with rafts and sloops, pull SotD, foundation their resources if they left claims on neutral. Only way we got the Chinese griefers off our server was to grief them back. Tickets with screenshots did nothing.

    There appears to be some sort of bug in the way object transition to and from containers happen. Either something isn't getting transcribed or something is getting borked in the persistence, but I've had it happened and others in my company have too. It's getting more and more common (possibly related to the performance updates) Shortly after this happens, some GC process seems to eventually clean it up and the item is fully destroyed, but it honestly means that ANY piece of gear in the game made from a blueprint could spontaneously poof into nothing. This has a chance to happen when an object is put into a container, taken out of a container, or when you remove it from your equipped items. It's... REALLY annoying to lose sometimes very nice items that we worked very hard on putting together. Edit- this can hit any item, not just blueprint crafted. It can even hit equipped gear on corpses or npc crew

    Atlas is.. Ark. yes it is. however i must say it doesnt feel like Ark. I have over 4000 hours in Ark. Think of it as a super mod of Ark, whitout dino's. Where you can build ships and have a good time sailing them, the sea is absolutely gorgeos and very well done, different wind directions wich is the same direction once you pass to another server, the server changing is pretty much seemless. especially when you use an SSD. Im having a blast. So every1 who hasnt bought Atlas yet, give it a try, its cheap still now, land grab can be a pain but also rewarding once you managed to grab some.

    Game wikis are generally built from the ground up by players themselves. You should expect them to be incomplete. You should also consider editing them to add the information you found.

    Today I lost my bear. We went to southern regions to gather some metal (there is just 3 metal spawns in my island so I have to sail somewhere if I need a lot of it), and while exploring and gathering recourse in H3 we've been attacked by wild fauna. Are you ready? There were: - 7 cobras - 6 wolves pack with 1 alpha wolf. - 5 lions pride. - 3 scorpids - 1 rattle snake - 1 croc 23 creatures in total. At least I counted that much. All together. They were act like they are best friends to each other. I was just gathering another tin mine when suddenly was hit and hold by a lion. And then all I saw - this huge friends crowd arriving and killing my bear (we've been thru a lot together...) and then it was my turn. So... I understand - it survival game but... ...well. Maybe it's a good idea to separate wild creatures families? So cats would not be a best friends to dogs, cold blooded reptiles would not be friends to warm blooded creatures. Arthropods on their own, etc. So If I face for example the pack of wolves - there would be just a pack of wolves, not all fauna in the island alltogether. After all, we're not in MLP where friendship is magic right?

    I know there is a buff for keeping vititiams consistent, but why not add a buff for staying alive. maybe tie it into the vitiam buff, so its stronger the longer you stay alive. currently there isnt much incentive to not die just to reset the vitiam bar. it's what I do 90% of the time. maybe give a 1% stat boost for every hour you stay alive, up to 10% or 20% cap. there are many things that you could do, it's a shame to see the I depth food system go to waste because there is no incentive to stay alive vs die and reset.

    I am tired of seeing posts about no land. Get creative. LITERALLY last week my wife and I sailed one server North to look for metal as there is none on our home island. When we got there I noticed TONS of great tamable species I wanted. I spent 5 minutes running the shore until I saw a rock in the ocean I could plant a flag on. We dropped a few pillars and voila, aggro island outpost was up. I'll bet 10,000 gold you tell me a server and Ill stake a claim.

    I don't have issues with cannons on the upper deck this was normal. Having multiple layers of cannons is a bit unrealistic. Cannons should have some forced space around them for what would be a loading crew and the recoil which the guns lack in this which would actually dramatically slow the rate of fire if you had to load the cannon and then heave it back out before firing again. At the moment you can pretty much stick them right against each other, they are forced to be spread out in the mid decks due to the snap points. I don't know that the upper decks need snap points. Could give each ship a cannon limit like the sails. Would need to be reasonable though I don't have issues with a schooner or brig dumping all their weight into cannons and ammo if that is their intent. I just think it shouldn't be possible to have tons of cannons on the port, starboard, aft, or bow only.

    I have had a new neighbor show up and next thing I know they circled my base with large gates and rain barrels. Submitted a ticket waiting to see if anything happens. If it remains I think i will move on to something else, I didn't sink 350 hours on a PVE server just to have to start over on account of players acting a fool. Of course as it is in lawless i will be logging on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday to make sure the base stays active.

    Everyone asking about config etc. Brigs- Handling sails are the best as positioning is key and the wind will be variable. 3 Ballistas are recommended to to damage to tentacles but cannons can also. Id take a couple of 100 spear bolts to be safe and plenty of resources for repair. Now SOTD are killable a few ships cannons to kill them would probs be good Galleons- Sail config doesnt mater much. Large amount of broadside cannons to do passes when the shield is down. Probably need 500 or so cannonballs and alot of resources to repair. HHope this helps everyone. I will be heading to I8 tonight to park my ship and will be in the discord from around 6pm CET

    Major fixes as you call them require time and effort. Look at the PvE grieving fix. Would you rather they shit out solutions like that or take some time to try to get it right? The weight patch wasn't about how much they carry it was about the reduced weight and ships. You could bypass the ship limit with reduced weight. It wasn't to "Piss people off" it was to fix oversight. Yes this is EA, yes that word is used a lot, but you also have to remember this is only their 2nd game. The team isn't small but it sure as hell isn't AAA either and if you're familiar with ARK then why raise your expectations? We all know their incompetence is basically a meme at this point yet you still chose to click that EA buy button.

    I did, still get the same. You are bitching at devs thats it. "They don't get the feedback from players bla blah". People were angry abour flame arrows - fixed, explosive barrels - fixed, animals aggroing on NPC crews on ships - fixed, alphas - fixed, overweighting ships in pve - fixed etc. They still need to work on BattleEye, solve duping problrm, they still doing performance improvements. I think they pretty much react to peoples feedback.

    The problem with not allowing this is it makes very hard for little tribes to survive. If you are in a big tribe, you can log off at night and come back the next day and your stuff is still there. If you are in a little tribe however things are likely to be much harder. I'm in one of the top 10 tribes atm so I can't say for certain how it is for small tribes but from what I heard life is pretty hard and they rely on hiding and stealth to survive when they go offline.

    are any devs actually looking at the forums? this has been on all day. ive had countless people complain about this behavior and still no action. ive had at least 5 reports put in for this behavior and NOTHING... not all my reports BTW other players that are having issues.

    As much as the fail patch that made ships vanish during the weekend then the following rollback im hoping they do implement so that ships not used in last 14-21 days will vanish , there is atm a abundance of ships really littering lawless-claimed islands-golden ruins to the point where some areas is getting hard to get docked-anchored in a safe way ,so hope they do add x days inactive/not used ship they get removed soon to relieve some of the cluttering that is happening around the game world

    Heyas Grapeshot, FUCK YOU!!! I am no longer wasting any time promoting this game and trying to stir up interest as you have repeatedly shit on your fans. First, you have a freaking debuff for being 100years old but made the process to remove that enforced debuff a fucking joke of a quest to try and complete, so I am forced now to just accept that debuff. Thanks, assholes! Second, you decided to make it where there is no real adequate protection against ship sinking griefers, so I never can have a ship to experience the ocean-related side of the game. Third, the last and final straw was to make stone harder to craft and at the very same time you made stone much easier to destroy. As a direct result, I was utterly destroyed. All FOUR of my honeycombed, three-layered bases were all destroyed by the same company. So ya know what, I am just gonna go back to ARK. At least I know I will get butt-raped there but it will have lots of great and fun features to distract me the whole way. Screw you and your crappy game!

    Not arguing against, go re read any/all of my post. I said this is EA it is not a complete game and the available options may change. Currently what is advertised is an Online MMO, no where in there can one assume Single Player or LAN would be an option. As someone has already posted LAN is in fact an option. Reading comprehension, it's rather important.

    LAN did not work for the first couple of days, there was a menu that was available that shouldn't have been due to the base game being based on Ark. Saying Private Servers will be available is not the same as saying LAN / Single player will be available. And as I've stated this is EA they can expand it if they want or limit it further if they want. They don't have to do anything as they have not promised us anything other than an EA title that will change over the course of 2 years.

    To point out the simple argument here: I did not purchase a game with the intent of playing PvE (which assumes that all i have to worry about it the planned AI encounters) to actually spend my time building and maintaining defensive measures against other players actions. if that is what I am lowered to then i am not playing as a pirate, but as a military general.

    It's clear the people who don't mind the constant offline destruction haven't dealt with it or are active participants in it and they don't want the complaints to derail their gravy train. Go figure, though... EVE tackled all of these kinds of struggles over the last decade and a half. It's surprising Atlas hasn't incorporated similar versions of those concepts such as Sov, high security/low security areas, neutral areas of operation that aren't freeports... the list could really go on and on.
