Hello, So I planned the kraken for yesterday and today. Doing 1.0 on Friday and 2.0 on Saturday. The problem with the kraken is that you now have 2 sets of stones so summoning the 1.0 is not possible for the group if everybody has the second set of stones. This made it so we accidentally summoned 2.0 on Friday and were able to work out a system that we hoped would summon 1.0 on Saturday which we did but it was still quite a headache. Word that we were going to do Kraken also spread like wildfire and so a lot of people showed up on Friday with a griefer of some kind that kept summoning the kraken early so we could not get everybody in at once and it really screwed things up. I have a few suggestions that would help clear this up. First suggestion is that a cooldown be placed on summoning 1.0 and 2.0 per company of around 12 hours. This would make it so a guy in a sloop can not just sit in the middle of the kraken and grief 100 players (Which is what happened). Also make it say who summoned the kraken. Second suggestion would be that in order to summon the Kraken you should have to open your map with M then hold right click to hold up your compass channel for a few seconds which would lead to the Kraken coming out. This would prevent accidental summons. Third suggestion would be that you can highlight the quest either voyage of power (1.0) or Journey of the Gods (2.0) to summon the different difficulties. The final thing I would recommend is that you put some kind of warning like 30 second until the kraken spawns. ~Lotus

Manage all the servers on your Cluster with Atlas Server Control. If you want to run all the servers from one machine, you can do that too. Mod support, yes. Automatic updates? Absolutely. The Server Grid Editor has been integrated and config editing has never been easier! Even the Redis Database is taken care of by ASC. Some Basic Information - During the first run of Atlas Server Control, SteamCMD will be installed and the Setup Wizard will start. - ASC is Beta and will contain bugs and unfinished code, there will be buttons that do nothing and minimal error handling increasing chances of crashes. - I strongly recommend a clean installation of ATLAS Server Control. This will ensure no permission related issues arise. - ASC contains a Setup Wizard to assist with creating a new map or importing an existing. RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR If you dont, you'll endure days of pain and suffering. Items to be addressed - Scheduler needs refactoring and features completed - Server Grid Editor implementation is third-pass, still more work needed. - More than a dozen instances of (OMG) code that needs rewriting (still). Wiki is Here I'll try to answer questions when I have time, which unfortunately is not very often. Don't forget, there is a lot of unfinished work in this release, if something is not working, it's probably not complete. Downloads Download HERE - (Guilded Support Community)

2 brigs - 1 brig with 9100/19000 (48% weight) weight, legendary large speed sails with 120% max sail velocity speed, other brig with 8400/18600 (45% weight) weight with green large speed sails with 104% max sail velocity speed. Speed test - brig with green sails with 3% less weight was slightly faster than legendary brig. Both captains full captaineering. Its either a bug and this stat simply does not work or it is intended. In both cases this needs to be resolved. Sail quality is practically for durability only rn. Getting 5 different resources for better sails is practically useless. Repair it or make sail quality matter much more. It is really annoying if brig with primitive sails is faster than brig with legendary sails Edit: Maybe it is the same problem as speed multiplier on armor sets. That does not work either.

Lets discuss sailing. I am surprised no one has complained about this yet. Wind is an awful mechanic. I strongly believe no one enjoys sailing because of this and the effect of weight on a ship. If I want to plan a journey to a power stone or further a field I have no idea how long it will take me because I do not know how the wind will blow over that journey. It was a nice idea in theory but in practice I am sure half the game has quit because of it. No one in my company enjoys sailing because its so dam slow and frankly boring/annoying. This game needs to be faster to get people onto the seas. Add more cheaper parking docks. I should be able to logon after work go 3-5 grids and pay to park in a FP.... Currently sailing at 8 knots compared to 16 due to a wind arrow the size of atlas player count :)

Ahoy Pathfinders! Well, it’s been a few weeks since ATLAS 1.5 went live and we’re pleased with the progress thus far. Thank you again for all of the support and feedback - especially during the PTR and beyond. This Captain’s Log comes straight off the back of today’s Livestream and we’d like to offer a recap for those who may have missed it. The purpose of the Livestream was to answer questions asked by the Community and to discuss some of the things you care about along with showing off our upcoming content slated for the May mega-patch. We collated questions on our Community Hub, but, in the interest of time, we focused on answering a few big topic ones initially. We will be pulling more from the community’s responses and addressing those throughout more Captain’s Log and general outreach on social and our community hub. If you didn’t have a chance to watch the steam, worry not as you can check out the entire VOD here! Livestream Recap! Before we begin going through the content in the mega update, we want to cover some topics that frequently came up in our Q&A thread. Please keep in mind that we’re not going to be able to cover everything, however, we will be looking over the thread at your suggestions, feedback, and try to cover more in the coming weeks through these logs and additions to our patch. Will there be a wipe with this Mega Update? No. We have no plans to wipe the networks with the next mega update. The game is in Early Access and we don’t want to be afraid to make big changes for the betterment of the game in the long-run, but we balance that with the time you guys have invested and the feedback you’ve provided. Adding new content, including exploring areas doesn’t necessarily mean that a wipe will be necessary. The last mega update required a wipe as we were making some grand changes to the core game like claiming and ownership of islands, and we look at that type of situation as an extreme case which would advance the game’s development. Does ATLAS have lore, do you guys plan to explore on that through quests or other means? The world of ATLAS has a history and lore that we are building through the environments and things like discovery zones and notes. We’re handling this similarly to the early days of ARK, where the lore was sprinkled in but none of the dots could really be connected. Over the course of development, as we solidify our game mechanics and technical features, you might start to see more of this lore introduced into the world in various ways that ties everything together. We have some really fun stuff planned for the future in terms of quest lines and world building. What’s planned for the state of Piracy as an action? We know this is a question that has been raised a lot, and especially recently with this update’s reveal of content that may not be as pirate focused as some would like. We are interested in how these various pieces of content play out and it’s important to state that what is in the current game may not be in the ultimate game. This means we’re going to try different things and experiment a lot, especially throughout early access. Over the weeks and months ahead, the game will continue to evolve as we sail towards our goal of making the most fun pirate fantasy game, as opposed to the most realistic pirate game. On that note, this upcoming mega patch does introduce a fair bit of content related to seafaring and the pirate playstyle, and we’ll continue to look into ways we can further establish this via new multidimensional gameplay mechanics as well as rebalancing and tweaking existing systems. Where is the Pirate Hat cosmetic from playing pre-1.5? It’s coming! Between addressing bugs and server performance along with working on the mega patch, it kinda got stuck in our pipeline! Yes, we will give you all your fancy hats soon, sorry for the wait. XBOX? We’re going to have some very exciting Xbox news for you in the coming months. We’re thrilled to have you aboard, our plans haven’t changed and can’t wait to bring it to you this year. Stay tuned! And now...onto the update itself! Unlike the last Mega Patch, this one is more content focused and less systemic. We still plan to make more systemic changes, however, we want to give our previous changes some time to settle, so we can see how they play out and decide what steps we’d like to take next. That means this for this patch, we’ll be introducing some new weapons/combat related items for players and ships, structures, items to generally improve QOL, cosmetics, creatures, and an explorable area, the Ice Dungeon! New Cosmetics: Hydra Steering Wheel, Hydra Hide Armour Set, and Cyclops Heavy Armour Set! Similarly to our other skins, these will be purchasable at your local Freeport. It’ll be the first time we’ll have skinned a steering wheel, and it’s applied by accessing it’s inventory and equipping it in the skin slot. The skins will be able to be painted and we plan to have many more exotic wheel skins in the future. New Offensive Structure: Torpedo Launcher (and torpedoes!) Torpedo Launchers are a new Golden Age ruin item which allows crew and captains to fire torpedos at their targets. The launcher must be snapped to a Gunport location and can be used manually or via the Captain’s Firing mode. Shooting a torpedo at or above the water’s surface will make it follow that path on the surface, and angling it downwards will have it follow that trajectory, like a missile. We can assure you that we are aware of the ways in which Torpedo’s could be problematic in terms of the meta and we’ll be keeping a close eye on their balance. New Boat Attachment: Cargo Racks! A new storage option for medium and large boats. The cargo rack is snapped to dingy hangar locations and will significantly reduce the weight of any item inside of its inventory. The cargo rack can only be accessed when the boat has anchored, and if the boat is sunk, the cargo rack will turn into a special-flotsam which contains the inventory floating out at sea, providing the potential for it to be stolen by another pirate crew! New Cart Attachment: Large Storage Box! Cargo Carts now own up to their namesake and can carry additional cargo! Attach a large storage chest to a cargo cart will automatically reduce the weight of the items (this effect will be disabled on ships), to help players transport resources more easily on land. New Tool: Fishing Net! Pleasantly pass the time at sea on long journeys, as you cast your new fishing net to satisfy your hunger and deepen your pockets! New Ballista Ammo Type: Boat Harpoon Stop your fleeing enemies in their tracks and reel them in with the new Boat Ballista Harpoon! Load up your ballistic and fire the projectile, if it successfully attaches you and your target will be unable to move. Reel them in before they destroy the harpoon. You can only successfully harpoon same-or-smaller ship classes. New Weapon: Spear Gun! With a highly accurate piercing projectile, a rapid reload rate, and the ability to reuse ammo the Spear Gun is the best choice for your underwater weaponry! New Creature: Olfend This quirky looking creature narrowly avoided being burdened with the moniker: the Camelephant. The unique Olfend possesses some utilitarian attributes based around water. Water can be collected as you ride it across fertile land or by drinking from lakes and the considerate Olfend will store it, distribute it amongst water containers or...spit it in a friend’s eye. The delicately-legged creature also has the potential to be more heroic than it may appear by being put to use in extinguishing fires. New Creature: Giant Tortugar We’re pretty fond of this creature and the aspects it can bring to player’s experience of the game. In some ways the Tortuga acts like an armoured personnel carrier and, in others, it is similar to an organic submarine. Nestle under its’ sectioned shell for protection or stay sheltered as it plunges into the depths and affords its passengers reduced oxygen consumption. New Level: Ice Dungeon An enormous dungeon found deep in the depths of the polar region. We can see that this was clearly once occupied by pathfinders but now deserted. Rumour has it that they were slaughtered or their fear of a legendary and elusive mythical beast steered them away. Additional Mega-Patch Notes! New Weapon: Crossbow New Structure: 3x4 Medium Gates New Structure: Ice Box - a high-insulation box for transporting ice. Has “active” mode that will drain ice but reduce surrounding temperature (reverse fire). Consumes less ice if “indoors”. Extends spoil time of things inside, but greatly extends the storage time of ice. Also has an option to turn ice into water to consume. New Resource: Ice - Must be harvested from cold zones. Decays relatively quickly if not in “insulated” storage. Can be consumed to reduce temperature for a short duration (15s per ice cube, max of 5 mins). Relatively heavy. New Feature: Company-wide map markers New Feat: Instant Hotbar Equip QOL: Structure Weights now displayed on items QOL: Revamped Skill Tree UI QOL: Breeding Temperature Gate adjustments QOL: Faster Reload skills now also scale the corresponding equip time With more notes still to come! ISO: BLACKWOOD Prepare for a dark twist on the Equatorial biome with ISO Blackwood. Dark jungles, caves, alcoves, villages, homes, and farms, an interesting array of animals and a new concept; The Mire. Wade through thick green waters teeming with dangerous creatures, rare plant life, and the occasional Gorgon to find buried treasure, lost corpses and even the giant and ancient snake boss Anacython. In early June we expect to be able to release our special mod-map, Blackwood, created by Iso, the level designer behind ARK’s popular mod-map Crystal Isles. This is not something we’ll be supporting specifically on our Official Network, as it was designed and intended to be used for single servers an example of a stunning mod map that can be hosted unofficially. This specific map will be set up so that you can still enjoy all the mechanics that ATLAS has to offer, whilst hosting it as a standalone server with no additional database setup required! Latest Patch Notes CURRENT V103.0 - Player Shops only cost upkeep on Non-Lawless PvE-style Homeservers. (Technically in Official PvP too, but only on the non-lawless homeservers that are effectively PvE regions) - Servers can use this server config value to scale the player shop upkeep: Game.ini: [/script/shootergame.shootergamemode] PlayerShopGoldUpkeepMultiplier=0.08 Default value is 0.08, for a 92% reduction from the previous rate. - Player Shops are now limited to 70 slots - You are now allowed to build more than one player shop per team on an official homeserver, now you can build as many as you want to pay the upkeep for. - War Declaration cost has been reduced to 40k gold and 500 of each additional material, rather than 1000. - Ability to respawn on your current server when you die on a lawless/freeport server that isn't set to be your home server. - Water creatures will no longer lose their targets close to the water surface. - Magic Mythos is now enabled on Official Servers: bonus 2x Harvest, XP, Taming, and Gold rates for the weekend. v102.62 - Fixed a client-side crash v102.61 - Optimizations for creature food consumption and structure tagging v102.5 - Fixed some rare crashes. - Stationed NPCs (on boats and land) no longer take damage from guns on Official Servers. - Added a new Game.ini ShooterGameMode config bool: bSeatedNPCIgnoreGunDamage=1 v102.47 - You can now reveal unconscious targets contesting your own claimflag (pinwheel option activated on your claimflag) v102.46 - Magic Mythos is now enabled on Official Servers: bonus 2x Harvest, XP, Taming, and Gold rates for the weekend. First I put this message in to my suggestion topic, but the message turned really big and it's very important. So I decided to write one as new thread. There is huge problem with game balance. And this problem is - there is totally NO ALTERNATIVE to tames. Before I start - I wanna say, I play PVE. So I'm gonna speak about PVE aspect of game. Building. Adventures. Fight wild life, and damned armies. Current situation like that. If I wanna fast and safe travel through island searching bottles, or resources - I ride a bear. I wanna gather some resources - I ride a bear. I wanna build something - I ride gathering tames (elephant, giraffe, bear). I wanna fight damned army. I wanna protect my base from wild animals - I ride a bear. Some say - that's because bear is too strong. But for me - it's just everything else just too weak. Here is example. I spend A MONTH building mythic set of armor. I kill more then 400 yetis for mythos. I sail around the world searching different kind of resources. And after I done, I summon damned army lvl-95. Will I be able to tank them in my mythic armor? No. They just kills me in few second. And when I lose it? I have to spend one more month, to create new set. More around the world for resources. 400 more yetis. Or. I can spend 20 minutes to tame a bear. Then summon lvl-95 damned army, tank and zerg them within one minute. And that's it! Oh, if I lose my bear, I then in 20 minutes will ride another one. So the situation is a bit stupid right now here. You use a tames, and you king. You don't use tames and you screwed. I see just one solution for the whole situation: Player must not choose: "I use them, and I good. I don't use them - and I bad". INSTEAD Player choose "What way I'm gonna do things in game?" And the only way to achieve it - rebalance all. How would I do that? Tames: 1) - I would give ability to tame a horse, ride it, and create simple cargo carriage to everyone. Let it be in this "basic tools" skill in first survival skill-tree. So if players wanna go alternative way without tames, they will be anyway able to do fast travels, and carry some stuff through the island. Island riding and stuff carrying - is one is most important aspect in a game, and it's bad idea to greatly improve it via some skills. This way this skill became no alternative must have one. 2) - I would cancel all tiers in tames skill-tree. Instead I would do 3 separate section. One - for skills like nature touch or cry. Another one - for resources production and gathering tames, and all skills related to better resource gathering and production. And third - for battle tames, and battle skills there. This way players can choose - to gather by tames and fight by tools. Fight by tames and gather by tools. Do everything by one of two ways. 3) - I would make tames weak at the moment of taming. And only after leveling, they get damage, defense, effective gathering, etc. So players have to put some efforts to make their bear gather good amount of fibers, or fight high lvl damned army. Tools: 4) - I would make mythic quality tools to match or even exceed tames. It's like that. You can take the weakest bear ever, go to freeport and gather 20k or nameless fiber in just a minute. And no matter how mythic sickle you have - you wont ever gather that much. You can tank damned army any lvl with your bear. And no matter how mythic armor you have - you wont be able to do the same. You can kill damned army with a bear within a minute. And no matter how mythic you have sword, spear, bow, pistol, riffle etc, you wont be able to do it same way. And that's the alternative I wanna see. I choose - I go tames-skills, I level my bear and gather fibers. Or I ride my basic horse and gather fibers with mythic sickle the same or maybe more efficient way. Oh. And for p.s. About skills. I'm now on my way to lvl-50 Galley of Damned quest. I picked necessary skills of tools, wooden buildings, ship construction till brig, basic cannons, resources gathering, and put all in tames. After that I had just few points left for captaining, which is also requires to up my ship and fight high lvl SotDs. Right now I'm at 53 lvl, and I need around 10 lvls more to get all I need in captaining (without rally and overdrive I don't think I'll be able to done the quest). So because of tames ate most of my skills I just can not try everything else. I do treasure maps for gold and exp, and I throw away all blueprints I get (well except common gray ones). Because I don't have any skills to wear even fine quality tolls and I won't have em for a long time.

The idea I've had is for the crew dude that sells the respec food or the dude that sells the magic tokens to sell a temporary magic potion that when used on a tier 1 creature like a monkey/chicken/rabbit/(maybe)parrot to make it the size of like an ostrich or larger and you can ride it, making the generic saddle now not useless. You could have it setup where the monkey could climb surfaces so that its advantageous to have one when resource gathering for climbing to where those hard to get ores are, the chicken could give a battle buff (done for pure irony), Rabbit could be a very fast mount (no combat ability though), Parrot could give a temporary way to fly and could be used for scouting out islands for resources and enemy bases (also no combat ability and limited weight?). Of course the potion would only last a short time (I guess 3 hours?) but could be sold for a more reasonable amount than the dragon token. I know the idea is silly but that's why I think its post worthy. I think it would be hilarious to see a giant chicken being rode into battle tossing out damage buffs.

when they added 30% boost to all sails speed sails became the meta. what they should have done is 10% for speed 20% for weight and 30% for handling.

Played Astral Atlas server since launch and on their Ark servers for around a year and a half Excellent Admins/Owners , friendly , very active & fair and while problems are rare , when they do occur they are very quick to respond & remedy Events have just started (and was great fun) and if previous experience is anything to go by from their ark server , these will continue to evolve as time goes on to make sure they are fun and well balanced , feedback from players is always considered with long time players and new players opinions treated equally and fairly the slightly boosted rates make solo/small company manageable while not being too excessive Fun/Friendly community which is growing steadily , Great server to play on , come give it a try and see for yourselves

I have 3 galleons, 1 is pure weight sail. Go away and back under your rock. speed isn't important. Getting from A to B is. Weight sails change the way the ship deals with weight when underway, They aren't supposed to increase weight as much as assist in increasing speed by balancing the weight, in the same way as opening or closing your gunports. A balance of sails weight speed and handling makes a gally capable of sailing against the wind, leaving more rapidly, turning more rapidly to escape as well as benefiting from speed sails. These threads however are only about getting there faster, sailing completely against the wind ie ignoring the rules of the game. Travel takes time and adding to how interesting that travel is, is more important than getting from A to B instantly. The only truth in your post is that speed sails, with the wind, make you go faster.. going faster however, isn't the aim of sailing. Your turning circle for example is absolutely massive if you go pure speed.

He got a point there. They said, Atlas should be fun. Make Melee weapons fun to use. Give them a reason to be in that game. Every weapon and armor should have their spot and purpose. Tames are op, and thats a fun killer.

more tames????? so stupid... there is only 2 sides of pvp in this game... ship combat… and tame combat… and thats it... no epic sword or gun fights NOTHING!! cus its not worth it cus ur shitty servers cant handle 2 companioes in the same grid withoput lagging so much its unplayable…. plz explain to me why the tames have to be meta in pvp? when i think of pirates i think epic ship, sword and gun fights... board ship with grappling hooks and brawl it out... but no the meta is riding around on a bear with a cart and flamethrower or jump around on crab! so pirat much wow

Bow + 50 bolas + hide armour + wheat = low level ele in about 3-5 minutes. Put a saddle on him = high level eles in about 7-10 minutes. All free hand, real men don't use taming pens. Unless it's for giraffes. Fuck those things.

Nah, I think they made an Ark dlc, realized since they were not going to make any money off the Ark crowd since they owed all the season pass holders another dlc, sat around and realized they could sell it to the clueless brah in the office. He bought it and went for the cash grab. You watch the livestream and can watch JAT and the the other guy nervously laughing at the CEOs jokes while the clueless twit envisions all the scratch he is going to make from a console release. Has no idea what his own developers are doing. It will keep going until the bubble bursts and he realizes the money trickle has dried up.

Exactly! Even the little things (see what I did there) counts! Novelty is a very powerful way to keep, attract and/or maintain a player base which should be given equal attention for development.

Lol who cares what sort of game it is. Play atlas for what it is. If you don’t like parts of it that’s okay, it shouldn’t ruin your day though. The devs are making the game. Not us. We just test it.

Weight sails are excellent, I'm getting abit tired of reading all these noob threads about sails. Handling sails are excellent as well. Esp on an overloaded gally trying to get home against the wind. Adding the other types would be useful in their own case, and the handling sail should be correctly orientated in regards to the speed sails.. which just don't really work unless the wind is somewhere behind you. The speed sails are really the ones that should be removed.

Weight sails are basically useless and need to be replaced with Gaff sails...

Ye and what is nonowner day routine on PvE? "Oh do I have to login daily and farm gold for maintaining island? Oh no, I dont have to". Owner HAS to pay upkeep every day to keep Settlement, nonowner = settler doesn´t have to do anything. He does not pay upkeep and he does not pay true taxes because they are additive (on PvE) which means he harvests 100%. So tell me who has the better position here? On PvP ok, taxes are a thing. But jesus stop pretending owner doesn´t have to pay anything. Farming gold takes much more time than harvesting 30% more resources. Lets take an example - you farm for 3 hours. Because of taxes you need to sacrifice 30% more time which means approximately 1 hour more. Because of taxes you need to spend 1 hour farming for your owner and 3 hours farming for yourself. Now, imagine my company pays nearly 1300g/day for upkeep 86 points Settlement. Do you think you can farm 1300g in an hour? Count going with a ship from harbor, travel on map locations, get loot, get back. Let me answer this question - you can´t. Owner has to spent much more time farming gold for upkeep than you spend farming with 30% taxes (on PvP). Take your time to understand this and maybe you stop acting like owners don´t need to do anything.

If you thought they had promised a AMA style Q&A let me save you some time - they certainly did not go thru the official q&a forum thread and checklist answer every question. They had no intent to do that, it is communication as usual glean what you can from discord, twitter and future captains logs. The intro Q&A stream was followed by their usual megapatch content dump, followed by some very selective chat questions. They answered five 'questions' most of which you could already guess what the answer was Here is my take on their answers, but if you can also read their answers in the official captains log and skip that part of the video. Xbox when? when they are ready to announce they will.... - is this not a realistic pirate game? - does it not have lore? no it is pirate fantasy with 'tek' but it has its own lore so it makes it entirely different than Ark although that lore reveal will happen the same way that it did in Ark with mega content drops. Like the next megaupdate one you can harpoon boats so that makes it more piratey (or just torpedo them which is more 'lore' and not at all pirates). - OK can you at least give us the wiped pirate hats you promised? well they have a bunch of new content to get out first and that would require a database crawl to figure out who deserves it and they did not schedule that activity yet. (In case you think I am being flippant then please watch the video that is indeed the excuse given) - Will next megaupdate wipe? NO, but they as before will wipe whenever game changing is needed because this is early access. But hey do not worry if that happens maybe they will do another cosmetic item reward for surviving pre1.0 wipes! bonus end chat Q&A is worth watching because that was not documented in captains log. Here is what I recall. WTF is with all the tames they are not piratey? they let people get more stuff so pirates have more to gank (yes they said this do you think I am just sarcastically making this up?). SO they will be doing more tames and easier breeding and a TLC update but this is not Ark so only dozens not hundreds of tames. WTF we want more ship types? Hey you get cosmetic figure heads and wheels and pirate armor and paint jobs so every ship can look different. But they will consider a QOL pass for sails possibly at some point to fix the speed sail meta.

They could throw small groups a bone and scale the time by group size. Like a couple hours less for the little guys and a couple more for big.

I concur. We attacked it during two phases between 00:00 and 6:00 and no damage occurred. Did not follow it around for another 3 or 4 hours to see what would happen if it crossed a zone while visible.

Huh, I didn't think the ship cap was high enough before they nerfed it. Now you have to use ridiculous amount of resources to build a shipyard just get get back to the level before the nerf? Very Disappointing. Clearly the investment isn't worth the reward in this instance.

I'm a PVE Player and I really miss fog of war. That's the point about EXPLORATION, you don't know the world you MUST explore to found new islands and places. It doesn't make sense to allow visible all the map.

I do notice sometimes that in real life the position of handling sail would not just provide any speed. Sometimes it even should work as a break parachute. Like here. Question is - why this handling sail filled with a wind FROM OPPOSITE SIDE of where wind actually blowing? Or here. In this case this handling sail should not provide me any speed, but break be down instead: There must to be done something with it. Because now it's just...

Did some testing this morning, and there is a serious problem with tames vs defences, and with tames vs players. As it currently is dmg values against tames are very low. All this testing was done with primitive 100% weapons. Pistol, 23 dmg Carbine, 40 dmg Blunderbuss, 90 dmg Puckle gun, 25 dmg This is how much these damage tames Which, is not enough to threaten anything. Flame swivels are the only thing that can put out out real damage to the tame and rider, however you can still ride strait past a flame swivel and live. Canister shot, destroys any defence/artillery structure in one shot. So I propose a rebalance, and I think the simplest thing to do about it would be increase gun and puckle damage to player owned tames. I think you need a 300% increase for guns and a 400-500% increase from puckles. This would keep tames in the combat as they would still be very powerful, but leave their usefulness up to player skill of the driver, and the defender shooting at them. Also puckles have a tough time tracking them to shoot while tames move at full speed anyways, so a 500% increase would help, and they would still have to shoot most tames with all 5 shots to kill. How it is now though, makes the combat shallow and your only good option is to use a bear or horse with swivel or cannon. The guns are useless vs this, their damage vs players is ok, but they are useless vs tames. A blackjack does dismount the rider, which could allow you to overwhelm it, with tames or other things, but that's about it for rider weakness or ways to disable them. If we dont want all the land combat to be tames only though, some serious damage buffs like these need to be put in place. Also remember that the heal takes 10 seconds to complete and is a min CD normally, or 20 seconds if you go with an intelligence build. So these current gun damage values hardly do anything to the tame, the strongest thing is the blunderbuss and all 90 damage gets healed before you can reload.

Blackstorm Raiders My company Blackstorm Raiders is a very active company on NA-PVE, with 42+ members. We are looking to recruit and expand our group to set up for the server wipe. Perhaps your old group may be moving on, but we are sticking around and you are welcome to join us. We will be claiming our main island and others based on need and upkeep costs. Amazing builders! Live in a beautiful base, not a box. Winner of the screenshot contest (week #3) from grapeshot for the best castle. We have built a castle complete with a town. Message me for screenshots. Or view my public screen shots on steam. An active discord company, we hang out in discord alot and someone is on almost all times of the day. This server we have quite a bit of land claimed, and had lots available to people. Next round we plan on taking what we need for a large company. We take part in a large variety of activities throughout the week so you will always find someone doing whatever your interests are at some point whether it be building, or taming, getting power stones, hunting level 60 sotd, treasure hunting or farming mythos. Be apart of something bigger, we will build an empire for our company members to enjoy. If interested or have any questions please contact Miekka on discord at @Miekka#0545 or send me a message on steam https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198046332186
