  1. The fact is that since the introduction of the trading system with the beginning of the farmhouses, lag has become the main topic. Since then we have all struggled with the monster lags and the game has lost a lot of its charm. Everyone just steals the island with farms, nobody needs farm animals like elephants, giraffes and rinos. All animals can be removed there. Baer and Rabe would be enough. So the Atlas developers should finally get your tired bones going and fix the game so that the people who pay your salaries can enjoy the game again. In German: Fakt ist, das seit einführung des Handelssystems mit beginn der Farmhäuser das Thema Lag zum Hauptthema wurde. Seit dem Zeitpunkt kämpfen wir alle mit den Monsterlags und das Spiel hat viel von seinem Charm verloren. Jeder stehlt nur noch die Insel mit Farmen zu , keiner braucht mehr Farmtiere wie Elefant , Giraffe und Rino. Da können auch gleich alle Tiere entfernt werden. Baer und Rabe würden reichen. Also sollten die Atlas-Entwickler Ihre müden Knochen endlich mal in Gang bekommen und das Spiel in Ordnung bringen, damit die Leute die Eure Gehälter bezahlen auch wieder Spass an dem Spiel haben.
  2. Hi Kummba Thank you for he extremely helpful tip on using the "All Move To" command. I tried it (LB+Down on D-pad) and it works like a charm. The NPC will move to wherever I point the crosshairs at, and the bug of them "following" the centre of the ship does not affect this command.
  3. Well, thats a possible answer, yes. At least i think we both didnt change anything, because it worked like a charm, there was no reason. I took your advice, and destroyed then recreated the market, now i have a clear trade route's panel - no more inacitve and undeletable routes. I dont know it will work or not, but at least i tried something new, already sent some request.

Sorry Peg but Atlas is not a realistic pyrate game at all, torpedos, submarines, pyrates vs pyrates, pyrates building or eventually buying their ships, kraken, dragon, hydra etc. Although to be honest I actually do like the myth side of Atlas cos it reminds me of pyrates of the caribbean. Personally I hope skull and bones is still on the horizon. because it does look pretty darn realistic. I think the charm and appeal for me of Atlas is the fact it's not just a straightforward pyrate battle game and it does include some sailor myth and legend. As for Atlas pve, I think I can safely say that the devs will be phasing it out. Cos there will eventually be very little to do.
  5. Yes. I’m new here. I said that at the start. To the forums that is, not the game. And genuinely, I’m very sorry that people have had such a bad history with the game or more directly previous developers. But note that most of our alliance guys have been playing since day one through all the Chinese hacking and before. Some of the questions are from them. And for those of us who haven’t lost all faith completely and still get a degree of enjoyment out of the game, we have to hope the third one is the charm. I’m not defending the actions of previous staff that have let down the player base but if the new ones let us down as well then soon there’s won’t be a game left to discuss anyway will there? KT
  6. Adding to this, since I have this working now. There is no way to get this working with a single port. With that said, if you're on a CGNAT like I am, grab a VPS for cheap, ($5 a month from places like DO) and run OpenVPN. Then connect, and forward your ports to it. Works like a charm.
  7. Part of the charm of this game. Goofy shit happens all the time when interacting with others. The important part. Human interaction.

I got lucky went to 07 no other ships were there camped and waited til morning did a naked run almost got to the entrance no animal blocking but a Teradactyl swooped me up and dropped me several times I died at the entrance... 2nd time was the charm made it to the entrance managed to dodge the elementals and surprisingly nothing spawned in the cave but bats located below the FOY.. what luck! I wanted to tour the cave after getting it.. but ran out instead didn't survive the Elementals this time but who cares lol..

  10. i go onboard (using back ladder) and leave pet into water besides the boat. once standing along the sideboard of the ship, i whistle my pet. it will follow me by jumping onboad. Works like a charm. yesterday, i forgot to unwhistle. he glitched into the upperdeck when i was below on the underdeck.
  11. unpaid player moderators like they have in runescape. would work like a charm. system has worked for almost 20 years.
  12. it could always be an unpaid player moderator. Runescape is a famous example of that system working like a champ. They get no real power besides sending the information upwards and "temporary mute" capabilities. like a community watch group. works like a charm. Make a reporting channel in discord where players submit a ticket for whatever reason they suspect is happening that is a breach of the rules. Player mod comes to the area, checks out the if situation is a valid breech or not. If it is, sends the information and proof up the chain of command and action is taken. Give the mods a fancy little icon next to their name in game and in chat that identify mods from regular players and that will make plenty of people volunteer to be a mod. hell i would. Boom. Mega menace and cheaters dealt with. (obviously player mods should be screened and a strict code of conduct with strict penalties should be enforced)
  13. Ok, I would try changing to more ports. if you have A1 (0,0) with queryport 10000, clientport 11000, and seamslessport 12000 and then only increase the port numbers with 1 you will have issues. Each grids uses 4 or 5 ports around the port you pick. For instance I increase my ports with 5 each time. Works like a charm. Port conf for my 5x5
  14. Taming pen both the large for elephants/crocs and pit fall for others works like a charm for our group. I also have a few small kill boxes across the island for pigs, doesn't work as well for stuff with reach like the elphant. Almost always ends up with us kiting it back if it's not too far and killing it on the way. Cobras are a bit trickier since they seem to be able to get through/climb over stuff but they are fairly easy to crit so we just play tag with it. Edit: Also you can kill some alphas with a decent leveled tame, especially if you have a couple people. I will nature's touch just before engaging, then nature's cry and go to town. Have killed some pretty high level alphas like this, usually finish it off before the tame gets to half hp or even more with multiple people.
  15. Dude! This app is awesome, we tested it tonight and it works like a charm, you have made the game for us. We were playing on a custom 1x1 grid but now we are playing the official map in all of it's glory. You sir are a legend! This should be an official app IMO.
  16. Another person using EA as an Excuse. EXCEPT it isn't really EA is it, as Arks EA ended months ago and this, well really is Ark isn't it. Oh and before you say it Isn't Ark I created my own server cut and pasted my Ark ini files into it and works like a charm, even messing around with spawn rates works.
  17. If this is to make raiding easier then congrats on a change that caters to 3-5% of the playerbase and angers the other 95%. If this is to reduce buildings in order to reduce lag, that's just stupid as people will be building more wood. If this was intended to increase playatlas.com account registrations then bravo, worked like a charm, I found it necessary to create the account to let you know how completely stupid I think this change is.
  18. Motivated by a discussion on steam forum, I would like to make a suggestion on this issue. The original complaint was: "We need some kind of debuff when we die, people Just suiciding instead of eating when the char is hungry. It's killing the immersion and game roleplay, why they should prepare food with vitamins balance for long ship travels when they Can Just suicide and respawn Full health and food?" https://steamcommunity.com/app/834910/discussions/0/1741106440017360938/ Based on that, I'll make a proposition below I've played a lot of survivals out there, and some introduced a very nice mechanics, that gives the Character (Player) a debuff over time, and if the player dies, this debuff is RESET. So, it would work somewhat like this: 1 - The player stars with 100% farming, 100% melee, 100% stamina, 100% health, etc; 2 - Each action would trigger an increase on the stats: - Gathering increase farming until it reaches 200%; - Killing increase melee until it reaches 200%; - Staying alive increases stamina and health until they reach 200%; 3 - Player deaths reset everything to 100%; This way we have both the "corn and stick" on the same mechanics. The devs can think of variations to this concept, where some debuffs only increase depending on the skill tree, and others for everyone... Skills that I think of: - Sailing - Ship constructing / repairing - Treasure hunter - Farming - Taming / breeding - Cooking - General (health and stamina) The bottom line is: "you enjoy the game more if you keep yourself alive". I know this work because it worked like a charm for me and my friends. Until we had this mechanic, death was not a concern to us... after that? We did EVERYTHING to keep alive! Jump from cliffs, running away, swimming, etc. This way, when you see that you are hanging with only the last bar of health, you will never think "it's better to die and be born on my bed" again. Also, it increased the fun ingame, as I killed, farmed, tamed, constructed better as a result of "my own" effort. Just a suggestion, as this is a common issue on some survival games, and I really think it would improve the joy of playing this awesome pirate game! What is your opinion?
  19. I'm really sorry lads.. I don't know if you feel the same, but I'm simply getting tired. 180 hours in game. Horrible launch. The shite we had to endure during it... Quickest Land grab since 1492. The good times when you could play.. And fear for your ships during the weight bug (I know it still exsits..) And now we can't even play like normal fing people "Thanks" to the awesome BattleEye. I know.. I know... Some ppl will write gg, gtfo scrub or noob. But I'm simply tired I like this game. But after a day's work I come back home.. and still can't log in and play... And what are we almost month past launch? Killing yourself and chaning Home server, then a 2nd death and respawn works like a charm and cheers to you guys. But c'mon.. how many time we have to do it? So.. a new day. I ate a good breakfast made myself some green tea. Took a day off coz I felt a bit ill.. And when I join server.. The same thing goes one. So what? Do I need to keep killing my character. Every. Damn. Day. Jus to play a few mins? *sigh*
  20. Small trick - next time you have such big payload - give all to one player, second is running between you and ship Works like a charm and makes that way way easier than this slow walk.
  21. I have a 2x2 server set up. I logged out one another region/server and when I tried it says "Host connection lost" 3rd time was the charm for me.. I was able to log in that region.. All I can say is keep trying to login mine eventually logged me in after 3 tries.
  22. As for me, events in the game, occurring with my character, are important for me (in the Atlas and in the Ark). Really, this is full life in an alternate virtual reality. Without such a reality created by the developers of the game (in the Atlas and in the Ark), it would be uninteresting to play and live in this virtual world. Because of it, I don't want to lose my character and replace it with a new character (I repeat). Kaleidoscope, mosaic, frequent change of characters in the game will not allow me to take seriously the virtual world of the game and will destroy the charm of the game (for me). I will leave the game after this (in the case of the introduction of the mechanics of the final death of the character and the change of characters in the game). I will not do this if I can save all the skills of the old character with a new character, but such a change of characters will be unpleasant for me.
  23. ok this fix worked for the map crash loop for me on the pvp server. Worked like a charm to be exact. I appreciate you going through whatever process it took you to get this fix pushed through @Davian and i appreciate whatever work you had to do to get this taken care of @Jatheish.
  24. Hi all, I just doing this comment so may help some people. I have a aliemware r4 I7 -4930k six core 3.90 ghz with 16gig ram 2 T hardrive and radeon rx 580 with was using windows 8 driver with by radeon they don't do driver for windows 8 is only 7 or 10. So I got the game day one until today with luck I just played around 1 hours in block 5 to 10 minutes before crash happen they no more chance in connect,just freezes black screen error and more error, so last night I decided to install the still " free upgrade " from windows 8.1 to windows 10 after 2:30 hours I installed the radeon driver for my radeon rx 580 after that I crossed my finder and start the game. WOW THE GAME WORK PERFECT NO STOP OR CRACK AND FOR THE FIRST TIME I PLAYED FOR OVER 1 HOURS LOL. I turn of the game and login again worked like a charm next day login again no problem and finally I start to enjoy the game, somehow I don't think this game like windows 8. Hope this info will help someone with having the same trouble I was having for the last couple weeks.
