    A pinwheel to summon the kraken you want. Magic. An attachment for balistas to pick up flotsam. Or draftnets you can attach to side of your ships maybe. An armor that gives equal hyperthermal insulation that fur gives hypothermal. An accordion song that does harvesting. A stable you can put all your tames in like cryofridge in ark to reduce server load and animal maintenance. A skill in captaineering that adds ship speed and/or sail effective range. Sunken ship loot shoulf have alot more food and songs (atleast 3x) Animal tracker similar to arks gps tracker. Ofcourse this can't be electric but maybe a whistle/call device that has distance of the grid would be nice. Cannons that fire from gunports to not fire in parallel line but all focus on the point you aim at. For all treasure maps to be located near sea level and obtainable by atleast a crab since they nerfed swivels. Cargo rack speed debuff to be reduced by 50% to make it a viable option to carry your ships full capacity of racks without being a slow moving suicide boat. The ability to see atleast whats in player shops via the atlas homepage (not the price just what's in them) to see if it's viable to make the journey and to promote trade. In game company recruitment channel or menu like WoW. The ability for companies to ban players or companies from building and griefing their islands. For rhinos to gather metal from normal stones and get metal weight reduction (or a new tame that does this) Freeports to have hides and keratins at rescource vendor for a price. An option to board your ship from anywhere by use of pinwheel or keybind much the same as tames. A do not collect berries/herbs option for harvesting tames. (A giraffe in polar will get thousands in on head swing and 100 thatch) Water caves with loot like sunken ships. Reduce gorgons stun time significantly. Have specific rescource gains for less used tames (tiger for hides lion for meat wolf for keratins ect) The ability for crabs to pick up bears in pve. Revert the change to crabs ability to jump above 40% weight in pve since it has no relevent affect on gameplay there and was advertised as a weight moving tame in the first place. The ability to throw water skins at fire elementals to deal huge dmg (this would be funny as hell, cmon guys) That's all i can think of at this point in time.

    So this whole thread is one big joke. Grapeshot has done something they DO NOT have to. They took the time to create SINGLEPLAYER and even Non-Dedicated servers just like Ark has. So how is that rolling over the little guy that bought into a MASSIVE MULTIPLAYER ONLINE game? Please any of you that feel wronged by GS answer that? Sure I play the SP version of the game now. Mostly because all the servers out there are based around toxic PVP or carebear no challenge PVE. Finally I can enjoy the actual game with no one ruining it. No more dictors runnings servers feeling better than the rest. So it seems that GS has given the solo/small companies a HUGE gift. Still people seem to think they have ENTITLEMENT to something more. Still people are here crying that it is not enough. If you do not like or can not enjoy a MMO then why in the world did you buy one? This topic just seems to be the Toxic community that is Steam sneaking in the door here. So all you whiners just give it up. You got more then you deserve out of a game never marketed for solo or small groups as should be understood because it is labeled as part of a genre of games that has been around for a very long time. If people can not read for COMPREHENSION then that is your individual issue and no one else's PS report me if you feel offended I could careless. I speak my mind as if I am talking to adults that you mostly claim to be. If you are under 16 and want to go crying to someone, or just idenify as a crybaby great cry. More people need to shut you whiners down that can find things to complain about when there is really nothing there. So sad that people today do not know how to behave. Complete reason that PVP gameplay will never be anything but a Toxic Pool of waste.

    No the real problem here is Jet's vision for Atlas is = https://store.steampowered.com/app/420290/Blackwake/ If it were up to Jet this is the trash game we would have! But Blackwake atleast isn't running around telling people they are an MMORPG!!! Its just another Team death match trash game!!! Some of us demand an the MMORPG they advertised not the Blackwake wanna be they have given us!!!

    I get it, you did single player for the snowflakes so they can enter admin commands and feel like they can actually play. But now you have to realize your debt to society has been payed , and you need to stop listening to all the calls for pink bows and ribbons and the fact that these people are trying to take over. Remember the fact that is a pirate based game and things are supposed to be difficult, hard to earn, and maybe even have a sense of gratification in the end. If this confuses you or you are unsure of what direction to turn just Google pirate. I am not after realism, as much as I am just having something fun to do, and what the heck if I go out and get a bunch of doubloons I should be able to spend them how I see fit. You used to be able to tax someone off an island but no, you got stomped down because you were "oppressing the masses". Now they are crying to turn the whole damn place into a homeless encampment. Here is the clue, and if you think really hard you know how it works, people will pay more taxes if they want to stay on an island that I pay gold for. Just a simple example. You made wildlife suck, there is literally nothing to be afraid of, why? Because more snowflakes crying because they died. OMG I died in a survival game WTF!!! Stupid posts about locked content, I could elaborate but these are the same freeloaders I already spoke of. How much gold for that pink ribbon on your bear? I will honestly say you guys have done a great job on a lot of things. You took a huge list of things people did not like on ARK and changed them.     So I think it's time to share my summary of the game as it currently stands from my personal perspective. The TL;DR - The alpha has a long long way to go and I hope they have a direction in mind MMO or private server seagoing version of Ark. I have had some truly great moments playing this game, from sailing with a mate through the polars, overloaded with little wind narrowly avoiding whales and ships of the damned.. to the early PvE community Kraken events.. to a fantastic auction organised by the community... or simply spending time rping with mates (inevitably leading to bloodshed within the company). But I have spent far too much time playing this game and played well past the point where I felt like i was gaining anything from playing it. I feel like that is the biggest downfall of this game currently; the end point comes very quickly if you are not solo. Sure there is plenty to keep doing and definitely plenty of chores to keep you logging in but once you have the achievement of something there is zero reason to repeat it. Without loot there is no reason to kill anything so on your way to the hydra you park the fire and rock elementals and any Cyclops. You run straight through the powerstone cave naked, holding only the artifact key. You run straight through the polar dungeon trying not to aggro anything until you reach the end. Has anyone explored the powerstone islands without being naked? I would like to see the resources on the islands rebalanced entirely including moving the 5th and 6th resource type to only reside in the powerstons islands. Each powerstone island should have SOME of the 5th resources and ONE of the 6th to encourage exploration. I also think the 5th and 6th resources should not be available from the freeport. Each island should have pure metal nodes. If you don't want crystal and gems to be readily available put them as loot on army of the damned and add a cave to each island... or from treasure chests. We need loot for this to be sustainable and I say this as a crafter so it hurts a little bit... but there is absolutely no reason to do anything in this game more than once... that is terrible design. The kraken doesn't even give loot. Rather than spam us with blueprints from treasure chests meaning we never have to do treasure again or interact with another human once we have compiled our library.. why not make blueprints scarce and instead give loot (uncommon, journeyman, masterwork, legendary, mythical ITEMS). Breeding needs limitation too, 2 breeds per male, 1 per female for example. You need to allow people who love it to specialise in it and be rewarded for their huge efforts rather than sell a single stud and negate all the work they have put in to date. With all of that said I actually don't know that the devs really want to make an MMO and that is the crux of why I am stepping away. All of the changes of late appear to be leaning into making this a seagoing ark clone for small scale multiplayer gaming... I can get more compelling and certainly a million times more polished content through other sources.. 7 days to die, Conan, Rust, Ark. I stuck it out this long because I had a passion for the idea of a seagoing Survival MMO... but this ship is listing... Oh and of course the countless bugs and disappearing ships and structures combined with the above have made it nigh on impossible for me to want to keep going with this alpha.     2x or 4x rates is the only reason why me and a lot of our company members still play.. theres to much bugs.. disapearing structures... ,ships.... and decaying shit goin on, even if the game would be finish and stable, theres no way playin atlas with out boost weekend. From the point of view of a hardcore player 2k hours play time since wipe.

    What kind of game is this really anymore? There's nothing to survive, so it's not really a survival game. There's not much pirate themed content, so can't really say its a pirate game. There's not much trading going on, so not that. A creature taming game....Maybe, but considering the lack of a decent amount of types of creatures to tame...Naw. Sailing simulator....with 3 ship types...nope. Oh wait we have seahorse's, but they are completely useless. Can anyone really say for sure what this game has evolved into.....Dumpster fire?

    Good point and suggestion. I will admit, the issues have been slowly going away, which is great. I just want a smaller map to play on and cant figure out how to get a 5x5 grid to function in single player (show up under map options).

    Hey Guys! It's obvious that changing grids can cause serious problems and thus bugs are linked in the further gameplay. This has already been confirmed in other SP - bug threads by several users.Maybe we should open a fresh new thread to the issue , so that it can be seen more clearly by the devs. (but this isn't my native language)

    I never played Conan, but a group of folks whose judgement and acumen i have high regard for from my Ark community tried Conan and all said pretty much the exact same thing you said about Conan and Ark being like two halves of a flawed but potentially perfect coin. LOL@ Atlas is Depeche Mode

    Yeah I always said that Conan got right what ark got wrong and ark got right what Conan got wrong. if either one actually learned from the other they could both be flawless. atlas need to learn from a few games. conan was easy mode ark was hard mode atlas is Depeche Mode I really liked the religions

    Well the obstruction radius would help if it would be lower not higher in that case. The larger it is the sooner you 'crash' into one another leaving large areas unable to build on, which would be perfectly fine for both sides to use otherwise without hindering each other... because when someone comes close to your radius it also means that you are close to his, so you cannot expand, even though the other cannot use that area... There can never be a good solution to this... if the radius is small someone can build you in easy for grieifng... if it is large, most of the area cannot be build on, leaving not enough total game space for "40K players"... In the end it only determines how much one needs to spam the area to "own" it all... That is one reason the claim system was designed and later fixed to only one island owner. The only working option would be to give the land owner the needed administrative rights to raze parts or all structures on his island to keep it fair and clean - this could be done with the least amount of griefing by design... in the end someone has to move, or people will leave the game... But I still can hear the crying from that from one last week... So... I can only advocate for PVEer to go PVP, and for the Devs to finally fix land PVP and protection, for the later to be meaningful... As in real life, so in Atlas PVE, the 'safe space' ideology does not work... does only produce spoiled brats (of all ages)... At least is Atlas I think it is not the intended purpose...

    alright Q............ is for the snap points, it does not rotate anything if you want to rotate press E the T button you know i guess. the only thing we are missing is ramp corners and ramp valleys, and half ramps, and half ramps and stairs being able to snap upwards, and roof and ramps having the same collision query if you want to build shiny go conan no collision is off on public servers for reasons

    Hi Guys, is there a way to adjust how much Gold i get from a Treasure Chest in Non-Dedicated Multiplayer mode? I searched through the Files but can´t find anything, in the Settings when you Host the Server is also nothing (i guess ^^) Thanks in advance

    I'd just like to point out that Jat is not the one pulling the strings. He's a community manager and one of the developers but at the end of the day he doesn't call the shots. He's just able to make suggestions and pass on our suggestions, but the one you are thinking of that is making decisions on the vision of the game is Jeremy.

    Just saying surfer. A lot of these players are ark players so it isn’t a surprise how toxic it is. it will be the same will console. I know people hate when I say it’s ark but it pretty much is. Not saying anything rude, but it pretty much is. dont get me wrong I am with you on what they said since day one but you gotta realize they say a lot of things and it doesn’t mean it’s going to happen. people try to tell me what the devs said all the time and I don’t really care because I go off of track records not words it doesn’t natter what people try to quote, at the end of the day I already know.

    And in just about every MMORPG that has EVER existed Ultima Online Star Wars Galaxies World of Warcraft Everquest Runescape the list can go on and on.... You could play them all as a SINGLE PLAYER and enjoy yourself and have fun!!! Because if these games were not fun for the individual then they never would have had Guilds inside of them where the individuals teamed up!!! Its like putting the cart before the horse.... Stop defending a crap game! That has failed to give us the tools to create a good open world sandbox MMORPG, which should and always start at the most basic core level the single player and small group experience, if you can't get that right then the game is screwed!!!!

    The Option to Raise the height of a foundation would be awesome And Save alot of structures which would result in better FPS for Plenty of Players.what i am mostly missing is the Lack of decorations And the Option to let lanterns beein refilled by the tax bank/flag so you Dont Need to spend an Hour to get some Decent light in your town for One Day just to refill everything again the next Day

    Colonies PvP: Freeform building, with more progress-protecting and time-enforced PvP rules creating a cooperative atmosphere, and limits to ensure the game is more oriented towards single players and small to mid-sized groups. ^^^^ Looks pretty marketed to me, I even got this in my email box, begging me to come back and enjoy the game they were making for SMALL and SOLO players!!!

    you do realise there are 2 game modes , u want to destroy settlers time and work , u want to tax them for protection , u want to rule over them and decide who can and cant settle or build then go play play pvp , or are u too scared and just want to act like you are a big bad island ruler all safe on your non risk pve island . if u do play pvp then wtf are u even concerned about pve for ?

    Yeah, god forbid someone who joined the game a little late actually wants to have a spot of land for themselves. News flash: not everyone wants to be a slave to the island owner who takes a share of their hard work and... oh yeah, can destroy all your stuff anytime they want. I pay a mortgage in real life, i'm sure as hell not going to pay one to you in a game.

    Others have experienced the sextant buff issue and it seems to be related to unlocking the skills in that tree to extend the buff length but after respec and not putting any skill points into skill tree I have been able to get the 8000+ second buff, it is definitely broken. The HUD issue seems to only happen when not restarting client after server side update. The map markers seems to be a known issue and from now on I will just save the coordinates outside of game until that part of the game is fixed.

    I think building is a clear attempt to improve on Ark's building and it succeeds more than it fails, like the snap toggle, types toggle, you can go out and build 50 roof pieces while gathering to reduce weight and figure it out when you get back to base what configuration you want, in other games if you don't make the exact right one, you wasted half the resources. Water pipes need some love though, not being able to place them without already having a water source makes some ugly pipe routes, the indoor water pipe is basically useless cause you have to connect to a source and foundation, but no water sources snap to foundations, so getting pipes to line up with a foundation perfectly is impossible. And trying to connect a reservoir to a water pipe, it just snaps below it no matter how hard you try to line it up and won't actually collect water from the pipe. I had one pipe visually in line with my railing on my bridge at one end and a zigzagging mess by the time it got to my base cause it was just slightly off.

    To host a server, on the main menu, use the single player/non dedicated option. At the next screen in the centre is a button to host a server. To join a server, on the main menu select the join server. Towards the bottom left of next screen is a drop down menu where you can select non dedicated servers. In there you will find a list of available servers. If the one you want is not showing it's likely that it is passworded. Select the option on bottom left to reveal them. For your friends to access you server, they need to follow instructions above to locate your server.

    Jesus Boomer the OP should Know exactly what he meant in his post he was the OP.... The Title of this post is = DEVS; WHY DO YOU KEEP ROLLING OVER THE SMALL COMPANY & SOLO PLAYER? And the point the OP was making is the Small Company's and Solo players are being screwed over constantly, on the PvP server!!! PvE server doesn't matter for this discussion because the size of a group on PvE doesn't matter. A big company can't bully a small company in PvE. So again this was a PvP issue not a PvE issue!!! Anyone who read his post could clearly understand this and for you to tell the OP what he SHOULD have meant is pretty freaking arrogant!!!

    Hi, one of our ship was anchord since a few days near a other ship of us. All commands was "Stop Fire" and somehow, over night, it startet firing on everything.. fishes etc. And the second Ship near it, AND a part of our foundations got destroyed. ... Now we missing some foundations, a Galleon, with a lot of stuff...etc. i just dived to the Ship.. nothing is so much damaged that she would have to sink... the lowest plank is at 7700/12000 Kinda Sad Greetings Tolbanera, M5, EU-PVE

    + Peasants (NPC), hire-able, who could milk cows, gather manure or automate farming, etc. main usage would be for single player obviously, but it would also cut a bit on tedious on PvE and PvP. It would also add sense of progression (making things easier for well established player).

    I had higher hopes for Atlas’s economy after the developers initially said they were patterning the game after Eve. I would like to see more depth added to the cooking, gardening and medicine systems as part of this. The WPE is a step in the right NPC direction, but it remains weird to me that the defining act of piracy, raiding merchant shipping, is nonexistent because there is no shipping to raid. It’s like making an X-men movie without Wolverine (okay I know we can’t expect Hugh Jackman to keep playing that part forever but really shouldn’t he be required by law to do so?) I’d really like to see NPC merchant ships protected by NPC Navy. Also they can go ahead and release those flying ships any day now, just so I can enjoy the delicious tears of those who weren’t paying attention whinging about their “immersion”.

    Yeah I think our experiences might be quite different, I am owner of a Company and have responsibility 2 bring in Gold for upkeep of 2 islands and that is a bit rough sometimes. Even more so since almost everyone else is away on holiday. Also we have tons of tames to look after. The weekdays mon - fri being lower rates don't bother me - I always have tons to do then anyway - transport rare resources, take care of tames, do our big gardens, look after and keep our islands clean from spam, etc. But if there werent 2x rates on weekend I don't Think I would be as interested in the game - cause everything just takes too da*n long already, as it is... If they removed 2x, they would have to make sailing way way faster or something, for it being worth it, to me. Perhaps up the minimum wind speed by 100 %. Just upkeep alone, when you're an island owner, takes up lots of time. Aswell as trying to recruit new people etc. I almost never have time to go out and just explore stuff, it's mostly upkeep and farming materials i spend time on, as slow as everything already goes in this game. I don't have any numbers to support it but my thought is that I have seen far more people talking about what a time sink this game is, and that that makes them bored, rather than the other way around. Just my opinion though, just as you are allowed yours ofc.

    The 2x weekends is imo the only thing that enables some players to actually keep playing. I am away 13h / day for work during the weeks so weekend is only time i can really farm and play more etc. If it was 1x rates on weekends I would lose interest very very fast. Those rates are way, way too low for people with busy real lives, (which should be a lot of people these days). I've never messed with breeding for same reason, I don't have infinite time to put into game. Often I have to choose on the weekends too: farm materials or go out for Gold upkeep etc. To conclude: to take away 2x weekends would probably results in many more people fleeing this game, feeling they don't have time for this game anymore, since everything becomes (even more) a time sink. Long live 2x weekends!

    The question and the poll are a bit to vague. Increase of the max-possible speed -> no Increase of the min-possible speed -> I am all for it. Decrease the no wind-time to be shorter. The reachable max-sail-speed with the correct setup is more than enough (especially now since we have cargo-racks). with 21 knots it takes u about 4 - 5 minutes to cross an entire server. On your way back (loaded) home even if you have to zic-zac, a speed of 14-15 knots is still very reachable and viable (crossing a server 7 - 10 minutes per server). So the max-sail-speed is not the problem - it's rather the lack of wind (low wind). We could talk about increasing the minimum sail-speed. But I am strongly against increasing the possible max-sail-speed, because that will just make raiding even more easy. The problems you mention are none for me and my company - they seem to be organisational issues of your big company. We don't have enemies more than 3 or 4 grids away we wan't to attack and the gathering is no problem. We can craft expensive mythical-bp without problem. It's a question of ships & weightmanagment, how you organise your time & company. Trading is an option as well. The fact you can't just roflstomp other ppl in only 3 till 4 hour that are more than 3 grids away is a good thing. It should be difficult to attack someone further away. And it gives the game actually some depth if you have to organise yourself for such an attack.
