seagul- reveal more fog of war in open seas and maybe show trails of the ships ? vulture- show health of every living thing around you? bull- carry more weight -giraffe gather more thatch -bear should be able to gather honey and please add ignore item list to the animal inventory like in the bank and more agressive options to animals like : attack only players and tamed creatures. i want animals protect my base not to chase a seagul to the open seas

I like this. Even a 3-5 minute warning about rain would be a game changer.

We're going to be looking at moving over the tax-bank item-restrict functionality over to tames. Thanks for the feedback folks, keep em coming

Yup, I feel ya. This bug is a priority for us to resolve asap.

Bulls need a cargo harness that moves weight. Make a medium gate that fits elephants. Behe gates are stupid

Most important thing is to split harvesting materials from food collection. At the moment when I harvesting with bear for fibre I alway get tons and tons berries and so on. I don’t know why fruits and vegetables a called Resourses. Could make another option like disable food harvesting. Thanks

Let's play a game! If you were a designer, what would you change about the following tamable creatures? We often hear feedback that players don't find value in most of the ones we've tamable, and I know some ideas have been shared in various threads previously but figured I'd make a giant thread where y'all can suggest. Not saying any of this is going to happen, but curious to see what you suggest. Bear Chicken Cow Bull Crow Razortooth Shieldhorn Elephant Giant Pig Giraffe Horse Lion Monkey Ostrich Parrot Penguin Rabbit Rhino Seagull Sheep Tiger Vulture Wolf

Horses could be passive tame. They are really derpy, getting stuck on terrain or launching themselves. Their acceleration from 0 to 100000 is insane, making them hard to trap and bola. Not counting the fact they run into open ocean and swim in circles for hours. An ability to see your animals on map/atlas would be great. As it is alpha game build bugs happen, stuff happens, its too easy to lose your animals. This feature can be taken out for full game release, but it would make a nice feature for now. Armored saddles to buff your animal, give it more survival ability? Breeding is so so so tedious. Do you really want us to spend hours upon hours handfeeding babies surrounded by 7 grills or penguins to make sure the temp is good? High level tames should be hard to get, but maaaan I am not looking forward to breeding at all. Elephants could have more stamina. There should be an animal that gathers thatch faster than a player with a pickaxe.

Make a thatch animal please, Make cargo saddles not just for PVPE, and for domestic use (like cargo), I personally don't care (and company either) if it increases the cost of them. I understand predators needed to be nerfed in wild, but now the tamed ones are jokes that get laughed at by farming tames. PLEASE - Make a carriage type that uses 2 of same animal, essentially increasing hit box, seats and weight capacity. Would be super cool (personal want hah)

@Jatheish As a designer I would scrap how animals are at this point. Currently this game is turning into an Ark expansion. I would decide to stop living in Ark's shadow. Currently I've done all PvE material so my day consists of riding around on a level 70 bear with elephants behind me harvesting X resource with hopes of actually needing blue print weapons to complete the next PvE tier. Currently riding is basically a requirement for things to do effectively either everything else needs to be brought up or beastmastery needs to be brought down. I would change the tree to crew. It would allow you to get animals but the animals would have something they bring to the table and not be rideable. The shoulder mount thing would be fine but cruising around on (current meta tame) is basically Ark. So I now have a blank slate and need to make it so I can get tames. I would want it to be a low chance from mate boosted animals when you harvest their bodies or a high chance from an alpha. Could also put a vendor in the game that sells the babies. So now my players have a baby X. This whole temperature thing currently is silly and the way to fix it going to require a lot of resources from my company (grapeshot) so the cost would be too great to keep this. The concept is cool but the creation and implementation creates a poor user interaction with it so I would scrap it. The concept of feeding animals something special is a good one so I could fill up a bear with honey and it would mature faster or just use berries cause they are easy but longer time until they are grown. So now I have a way for players to get tames so I now need to make them useful. This would be the bottom tiers of the crew tree. Different animals would have a function that fall into combat or utility. For this I would think of how I envision an amazing creature of the type. Bear- Combat- Taunt enemies around the player acting as a tank. Chicken- Utility- When on wander produces eggs Cow- Utility- Produces milk (more on wander) Bull- Utility- when on wander fertilizes nearby crops Crow- Shoulder- When you die acts as a bed. Razortooth- Combat- nerfs alphas. Shieldhorn- Combat- Produces a shield that deflects projectiles. (Currently elementals have little counter play) Elephant- Utility- When on wander collects wood. Giant Pig- Utility- When on wander finds buried items. Giraffe- Utility- When on wander gathers thatch. Horse- Utility- Rideable, pulls carriage and cargo which helps tranports large amounts of people or heavy amounts of resources great distances (we need something that makes unloading a galley not horrible) Lion- Combat- grabs smaller creatures. Monkey- Shoulder- barehanded becomes climbing picks at a much higher stam use rate. Ostrich- Utility- Harvests seeds when on wander. Parrot- Shoulder- Makes musical instruments easier to play and buffs the buff radius. Penguin- shoulder- fortitude buff. Rabbit- Shoulder- When on shoulder provides a movement speed. Rhino- Utility- When on wander gathers stone. Seagull- Shoulder- When on shoulder reduces/removes fog debuff Sheep- Utility- When on wander gathers fiber Tiger- Combat- reduces movement speed of enemies. Vulture- Utility- When on shoulder decreases vitamin depletion. Wolf- Combat- has a howl that increases damage. Turtle- Make tameable- Shoulder- Increase swimspeed, decreases oxygen use, and reduces deep diving debuff. Rattlesnake- Utility- When on wander produces venom, venom is used for anti-venom which reduces torpidity. So now that I have all these super cool animals I need to transport them and the current bug is they fall off (scavenging tames in the ocean is super lucrative I know a guy that got a Razortooth) I would make it so boats have a animal attachment that is basically a cage and when you send the animal to it the animal gets turned into more of an item that is placed inside the cage instead of being on the boat (no more lost at sea tames yay). We now need somewhere to put all these wandering tames. I would make it so tames on wander don't leave your territory. I would also make it so you can apply a filter on the map to see where certain tames are. Now for the meaty part of the new tree. I would make it so NPC's you get from SotD have a type of suffix like Bob. Bob would be a builder. You would need points in crew to hire Bob and then you can put him on a smithy. If you have skills in construction you would be able to make things like stone at a reduced cost. The points in crew would only be to get Bob, the points in construction would make it so you can get the discounted building from Bob. This would make Bob your righthand man when it comes to construction of things. You would still need the recipe to make it though. So getting NPC's and keeping them alive would have benefits beyond "I need guys on my sails" which you would want to keep around because sailor NPC's would make your sails better. This would lead into reworks of the other skill trees, I would make farming capable of making the large crop plots grow fiber, thatch, and wood that the NPC's can harvest at a drastically reduced rate. The rate they harvest can be modified by giving them higher end tools. Artillery tree would also get access to alchemists that can be put on a mortar and pestle that will make it so you can stack unlimited resources inside it and queue up organic paste for more than 220 at a time... it would also make it faster to give the QoL that is missing from the chemistry station. I could keep talking about how I would change it but the TL:DR is make animals more companion rather than a requirement but still have meaning. Make NPC's more than a parasite when you arn't sailing. As a designer I would change a lot of things but for creatures this is what I would do. ~Lotus

I have been playing from day 1 And also read Forum almost in Daily Basis And its so Fun to read. I mean honestly, instead of trying to survive ingame People spend countless of hours crying for Nerfs on Forum instead of playing the Game. Its early Access And still u cry for each Bug u find. I know this will piss off so many ppl, but there are also the ones like me. Let me Tell u a Story: it was a tiny pirate Group of 3 People with the Big Dream to conquer the ocean. We struggled for hours through laggs rollbacks And Server crashes to get a Raft build on Day 1. we sailed for 13 hours And finally found a Place to Stay. We claimed a few Parts of an Island And felt like Kings. After Building the First small base we logged off. As we logged back in, we were dead And our beds destroyed. A Lion glitched through a wall. We made a new Raft And sailed back to our Land. All we had was gone And only the Walls left. We Farmed again instead of crying. This time we Build beds on our Rafts. The next Day came And again all was destroyed by an Animal glitching in our base . This time we Build a Platform base And Nothing ever destroyed our stuff again. We started Building a shipyard And making a galleon as farmrates were still low. As we logged back in someone Stole our claim And shipyard And destroyed the galleon. We claimed the Land back at nicht And found out that Sleeping Charakters can Contest claims. So we die And Farmed a new galleon. We Travellerscheck around to get us some Jones And sugarcane to tame animals. On our way back we got sunk by the many sotds. Next Time we got Cannons And Crew And made it back. We tamed everything we could tame, just to get them all Killed by an alpha. So we got Crew And Cannons around our animals to defense them And it worked. I could continue this for ages. What i Want to say is, stop crying or insulting the devs only because u cant think of a way to survive And work around some Bugs. There are Bugs u cant work around i know. But just read the First 2 Sites of the Forum And i bet u will find stuff that happened to u too but u worked around it instead of crying or u just find stuff which is Super easy for u but others just Want to Flame cause they cant think of a way to make it work And Want to get everything shove up into their lauf Asses.

Bear - In a good place. Great gatherer. Also tanky enough to be multipurpose. With Elephants, you can base all gathering tames on this tanky model. Chicken - In a good place. Supplies lots of eggs. Cow - It would be nice if we could milk a small amount from wild cows, otherwise cows are a prime candidate for a cargo saddle that actually works for cargo. Bull - Bulls could fill the missing niche of an accessible thatch farming tame, as well as another candidate for carrying weight with a cargo saddle that works for cargo. Crow - I like how crows work, my complaints are with int itself and how you need to dedicate a respec in order to craft. Razortooth - These should be the highest tier hostile tame for doing pve/golden age Shieldhorn - These should remain the best thatch gatherer if you introduce more viable gatherers of thatch Elephant - In a good place. Platform Saddle? Giant Pig - Needs something to do other than pooping, farming for valuables if left on wander or giving them the functionality of shovels might work. Giraffe - Potential thatch farmer. Platform Saddle? Horse - Would make it a passive tame, and make characters with Sneak ranks not spook horses. Lion - Tamed Wolves and Lions and Tigers are too weak in general, should be strong enough to survive encounters in golden age islands in a small group. Monkey - Let them steal for us like in ARK Ostrich - Give them a proper glide that costs stamina Parrot - Insulation is nice, but there should be something more on these guys. Shoulder pets don't all have to be amazing, but parrots should be in a pirate game. Penguin - In a good place. Rabbit - Like other tiny pets, rabbits need something to give them value other than their cuteness factor. Perhaps a reason to let them breed like rabbits? If you give them a unique Hide then there is a great reason to farm their pelts. Rhino - Make them hit rocks before they hit trees/anything else. Otherwise in a good place. Seagull - Fix their crazy levels, otherwise they should be good as is as the designated diving pets. Maybe add the fishing functions from Ark? Sheep - Make their scissor harvest into fiber, not hide. Tiger - Tamed Wolves and Lions and Tigers are too weak in general, should be strong enough to survive encounters in golden age islands in a small group. Vulture - Tone down the AoE hostility and give them the ability to be sent to harvest corpses and return with the meat. Maybe this (or other underwhelming shoulder pets) could warn of things like storms/weather like aberration, or nearby enemies like parasaurs in Ark. Wolf - Tamed Wolves and Lions and Tigers are too weak in general, should be strong enough to survive encounters in golden age islands in a small group. Tamed Wolves especially need buffs to keep up. Note that all of this comes from a PVE point of view with 723 hours played in Atlas and 3856 in ARK. Thanks for listening. The pve side of the game could be balanced around tames more, but golden age ruins are currently a crap shoot even with them. Nerf the islands, buff the tames. Cargo saddles are necessary to see tames reach the place they should be at. Before you nerf quality of life by making us immobile when over weight limit, make horse/cow and cargo saddle trips more efficient than dropping the entire box on the ground then slooooowly walking it back. Just... Buff the quality of life before/while nerfing it, please. English is not my best language, thank you for taking the time to do this

The parrot gives fortitude where i feel the rabbit would suit this better and rework the parrot to give a gold/treasure buff because it aint no parrot without its "pieces of eight"

Crow - Perhaps give the ability to teach the crow to go pick up maps without having you interact with the bottle yourself... Crows are very good at learning... Monkey - Perhaps give the ability to pick up small items... Perhaps make it possible to throw him through an open window into a base and then have him raid something off of the sleeping characters body... Parrot - Perhaps give it an ability to sing along with a song you play which then gives an extra boost to the timer or buff %... Seagull - Perhaps have it make a sound to indicate a storm is coming...

Pigs could be good for farming seeds, or cooking ingredients. place a lasso in the game for things that are passive flee in order to tame
  16. 5 points
Penguin should help with breeding more, help prevent babies from getting too cold or too hot, seeing as we have no way to cool things down easily. Rabbits should do.... something... other than breed fast. Maybe increase jump height slightly. Would help if pigs could be used to dig in the ground similar to a shovel, because I need more worms to tame my crows. On that note, digging should be applicable to the 2x events.... Crows should be able to attack on command, you can command them to attack currently, but they dont actually attack. Unless I am doing something wrong.

Bulls are horrible and pretty useless all round, how about make them reward-able by being a good thatch farming animal or at the least being able to pull a cart like the bears? Also Shieldhorns feel borderline useless too considering how horrible they are to tame and I've heard the same about the Razortooth, increase damage and survivability to make them a viable animal against Power Stone Island creatures? (Speaking from a PvE perspective.)

For me, this is my ARK 2 replacement. I find it too close as ARK + ships. I am loving it. And if they dont do SP, folks can always get their own hosted server. And then custom it to their own liking. I was HEAVY ARK player, but when I log into ARK to check on things: bla, back to Atlas I go. Lovin the Atlas.

    - Add an extra Option Menu to animals for farming: for example for elephants -> only farm wood so you can deactivated farming berrys and other stuff you won't farm at the moment - giraffe needs a second 2x buff for gather thatch

Change how to play/farm : Make cow or atleast bull able to "use" the cargo saddle. And able us to put on it a chest that make ressource to weight less. And so, make the cargo saddle a cargo, and not just a mounted gun The wool from sheeps should be a material that can work either as Hide or Fiber (or only fiber). Actually, hide isn't a ressource that we farm a lot. Fiber is one we do, so people would tame many to gather there wool to farm Fibers, as an alternative way Bear need to be less effective. Actually it's the best transporter, it harvests fiber/fruit, it is the best mount, can put a cargo with canon on it, super fast. It needs to be less good everywhere. Better experience : An animal that help for breeding (I know penguin provide heat). But something that is a bit better ? Or an other animal that provide cold ? Why not ? Make the seagull able to "fish" as on Ark. With a similary bonus. I really like the idea from Symptom too. Make them really usefull Make the vulture able to harvest a rare meat ? That can't be obtainable with other animals. A meat that can be use to tame or recipe maybe ?

I'm sick of seeing people whine about perfectly valid solutions to their problems because they're too damned lazy or too full of self-entitlement. I built an entire castle... in the tundra... on and island with no fiber and no paste... with nothing but hand tools and a horse. You want thatch? Chop chop.

I don't feel Grapeshot values it's players time, money, or effort put into its products. I've become extremely disenchanted by the way the Developers are starting to handle in-game issues, glitches, and bugs. We have players quitting by the thousands, and leaving the game with negative reviews daily. The need for more in-game GM support has become increasingly apparent. Just this morning a friend tried to merge his company, game bugs out and recruits him instead of merging the companies. Now he's SOL. No access to his ships, tames, etc. We all submit tickets to the GMs and PM Amber, Dollie, and Jat on Discord to make them aware of this game breaking bug. Instead of getting a quick reply of we'll get this prioritized with a GM and get it fixed asap. We get this nonsense. Last week we lost a Brig to a bug where the ship just stopped in the middle of the ocean with full wind to SOTD. When we report it....we get this BS. ^ In other words your time invested into the game means nothing to Jat or Grapeshot at the end of the day. PvP is PvP. But when it comes to game breaking bugs on Grapeshots part, the team can and should be addressing those issues the same day. Grapeshot shouldn't be allowed to call Atlas a MMO if they aren't willing to put in the effort to have proper MMO customer Service GM's. It wouldn't be so bad if the Grapeshot team answered all tickets in a timely manner, however it takes days, or weeks to get a simple reply. Which is unprofessional from a customer service point of view, and leaves players feeling worthless. So they leave the game. While I understand the game is EA, it seems to be the common thing to lean on when things go south, and Grapeshot just doesn't want to put further investment into its team manpower to properly address issues. Instead, they'd rather lose players.

I'm sorry guys but I hate to break this to you.. They can't and won't afford more staff gm's because they have to keep paying for those slick costumes they wear during their live streams.. lol

You sound like a troll, although I suspect you are not with the 346 reputation points. Keep throwing out analogies that are not even close to relevant. You get you 911 service (at least in the US) from your phone provider, if you get any type of critical service from a game, you are a fool. You seem to know all about Grapeshot, but you buy the game and say you had no idea you would get bad customer support from them. Maybe you are just ignoring the facts you don't like, as if maybe it is all "Fake News"?
  26. 3 points
This thread raises a legitimate point. Wildshot's™ track record with customer support is not what one might call confidence inspiring when one looks at Ark, and by contrast that was a game where they could offload a lot of the support function onto private server owners (Last time I played Ark, it was as one of those private server owners and private servers outnumbered officials by a factor of 45 to 1). Atlas as an MMO centered around a handful of vast official servers expected to support the bulk of the game's population will not be able to get away with such lackluster support levels. If support response times are lackluster when the playerbase is shrinking during Early Access ( a period where one would expect a conscientious developer to provide increased support staff owing to higher instances of bugs and glitches), that does not bode well for what kind of support one might expect further down the road if playerbase and activity levels rise. Further GrapeCard cannot plausibly plead poverty the way many independant studios can when trying to get their new game off the ground. Stiglietz and Co. sitting on a rather sizeable pile of cash generated from Ark's out of nowhere runaway success for 3 years should be able to afford greater customer service staffing than just about anything short of a AAA studio.

As a high level player I find myself wanting to save and carefully consider my few respecs available, but I end up clicking respec accidentally since it's in the same place as the "Show equipped items" button in the inventory. I really hate to waste my respecs on stuff like that, so please please just add a "Yes / No" confirmation box when you are about to respec. Thanks a bunch!

It doesnt matter if its an amarican company or not, its doing business in europe, and thus subject to european laws. Even Google/Microsoft/Apple/facebook, and more cannot hide behind the fact they are based outside of europe, they can comply/get fined for up to 4% of their annual turnover, or they can stop doing business in europe, they are all complying, so of course the same will be the case regarding steam. And you as a private person are also liable to legal action if you keep databases of personal information of identifiable individuals. You will of course be harder to go after, than a company, that for the most part want to do business in europe, but if you are based in europe, you can be charged directly, and if not, you can be charged, if there is a strong enough case against you, and you want to visit europe sometime in your future.

Need to be able to "Find" tames already tamed..Server crashes, falling through floors, ETC...."H" key only works for close range..How about a location in the company tab with tame name listed. Need to know where our tames are firstly and +1 to thatch Gatherer...all tames so far do the job except for thatch...much easier to just grab a pick and gather more than any tame.

Being frank, the fact people don't know there's a rule difference is the problem. I see LOTS of rafts and ramshackles sunk every morning on the chances I do go to a freeport. I'm sure people buy the game, make a sloop, log out, come back, sloop gone, rage and quite, and that's on the devs not the players. This is, after all, basically, the tutorial area.

Please fix Health, Food, Weight WHITE icons, they are like invisible on almost all Terrains. I Cant see them! I now know how colorblind people feel! You are now overburden text is the only way to know when to quit gathering, 'or you have to look up into the sky. So many times, I get over burden from just not be able to see the white icons! Make the icons baby blue, or use two/three different colors to offset the terrain. (Outer/inner) Also, They say its best to add patterns to colors, so colorblind people can see them. Also, the yellow wild texts showing levels matches trees colors, so sometimes so you even read them either! That text should be the white one. Anyway, I made an example, I dont think its the best colors to use for colorblind people, but anything is better than white! I used another color red to show max weight area Thanks for everything!

to do a full cycle and return to a specific spot is 40 rl hours. each time it spawns it stays for 5 hours. it has a respawn delay that varies anywhere from 10 mins to 45 depending on the reports. Fountain Of Youth follows this path: C6 > D12 > F8 > G3 > H6 > M12 > O7 > O14

Paragraphs man, paragraphs ..... Regardless, I completely agree with the OP. This place is full of a bunch of little girls whining and crying about everything that is broken or incomplete in this "Early Access" game. Then stomping their feet around the forums when the Devs don't do something about it right this second. Make no mistake, many of the complaints are valid. They're working on it .... give them some time. Do you honestly think the Devs don't care about their game or the people playing it? The Devs have stated they were not prepared for the numbers that came on day one. I absolutely believe that. The complications this caused would have to be pretty damn substantial. Imagine expecting a few thousand coming to your picnic, but instead, 50K show up and they want their grilled hotdog now ...... right F-ing now. I'm and old guy and patience isn't a virtue it's a F-ing fact that yields better end results 99% of the time. Let them do what they do and when the game leaves early access, alpha, beta, broken or whatever you want to call it and then do circles in the forums stomping your feet. Sigh ..... Ok, everyone circle up. You too Percival. /Group Hug That's better, it'll all be OK everyone .......
  35. 3 points
WOT, only read first few sentences. Stop reading the forums if it bothers you? Yes, the game will not get better if people don't report problems and proved feedback, that is what Early Access is all about. Also maybe they are playing the game and writing in the forums both, ever think of that?

Its mostly causals and PVE types that venture onto PVP servers and withing hours get deleted then decide to spend the next week on the forum complaining about the game 'dieing' or being too hard, or other companies being too strong. It's rather amusing after a while.

    1. Ship-Rear Cosmetics/Skins So we have figureheads, steering wheel skins and soon, sail skins. This might be a large suggestion, but the Brig and Galleons have cosmetic "cabin" styling on the backs of them. I propose new skins be made for the Ship itself that adds cosmetic changes to the back of ships. Maybe dragon heads from the back, working up the side? A skull? Hydra head? Cyclops hands? 2. PvE Servers, Allow Ship Claiming After Inactivity Currently, there is no ship claiming on the PvE servers. I feel like ships should be claimable if the player and/or company has not been online or entered the area within maybe 2 weeks? 1 week? Or simply cause the ship to be "Unclaimed" after 1 or 2 weeks of inactivity. 3. Repair All Structures It would be a tremendous Q.O.L. improvement to allow NPC crew to repair all structures including ceilings, cannons, walls, chairs, e.t.c. when the ship is anchored and the NPCs are unseated. Optionally, create a new structure to be placed on a ship in which you assign an npc crewmate to be in charge of repairing all other misc. structures on the ship. 4. Unseat All Crew I don't know about other players, but when I get off my ship, I unseat at least 4 crew members to ensure my ship's essentials are repaired before the next time I set off. This would be another amazing Q.O.L. improvement for the ship to have an implemented option to unseat all crew. 5. Man Your Stations Add an option to NPC crew on ships that assigns them a specific position on-board. Then add an additional option on-board the ship for assigned crew to "Man Stations." 6. Handling Sail; Reverse Allow Handling Sails to provide faster Reverse speeds. As it stands, ships can currently back up no matter what. If the Ship layout includes a Handling Sail, this ship should reverse slightly faster. 7. Captain's Deck Currently, the Galleon is the only ship that comes with a snap-able slot for a receded Deck to be placed higher up at the back of the ship. I propose another optional Deck slot be added to the back end of Brigantines and Schooners, like the Galleons, for cleaner and more aesthetically pleasing ship designs. (The Brigantine is especially difficult to make the ceilings and walls line up with the back end of the ship.) 8. Careening @mKHammerBro Introduce a new mechanic to ground Ships to scrape and clean the underside of the hull. In the past, this process was called Careening, or Heaving Down. Barnacles and other sea life clings to the underside and rots away at the wood. This could also introduce a new way to repair your ship's planks or add a temporary repair and/or speed buff to your ship. 9. Mooring @ikarirain Introduce a new item to be crafted at Smithy's from the Seamanship tree, Bollard. There are instances where a ship is too large to reach an anchor-able point, so it's been proposed to allow ships the ability to be moored in by ropes to Bollards, which can be placed on piers or shipyards, to safely "anchor" the ship in your territory, given anchoring isn't possible. Additionally, increase the amount of Bollards needed to moor a ship depending on the ship's size and/or weight. 10. Select All or Individual Sail Controls @Shakarian Ability to control all sails from the wheel, or select which individual sails to give certain commands to. For instance, all sails selected by default. But press keys similar to the cannon crews to deselect certain sails. 11. Look-Out / Telescope @Aristocrates It is known that being at the top of a mast gives the player a slightly larger render-distance so they can see ships and such ahead of time, but it would be nicer if there was a Telescope sort of attachment to build on the Smithy that could be attached to the top of the mast, further improving this render distance for preparation or avoidance purposes. 12. Collidable Figureheads @Grodgen Collidable Figureheads: Currently they have no collision. You can't stand on them and it also limits their functionality as actual figureheads. 13. Rotatable Weight & Handling Sails @Kaitlynn Allen Add an option to rotate Weight Sails and Handling Sails 180 degrees when placed, depending on your desired placement at the front or back of the ship. 14. Rigging That Connects The Front Sail To The Figurehead @Kaitlynn Allen Add an option to connect sails via rigging placed at the front of the to the bow sprite/figurehead. 15. Catch Net @RebelMarmoset Add a structure for the front or sides of ships that catches flotsam and/or fish. Consequently, the longer the net is lowered, or the more items it catches, the more it slows the ship down. If you like any of these options, please reply to this thread with your comments and feel free to suggest some more ideas pertaining to ships! And a special thank you to @Jatheish for taking the time to read this! Loving the game.

As of now, the only use of the shipyard is to make ships. What if we can anchor or rather harbor 1 ship to the shipyard? This would work like the hitching post in s+ for Ark or the new breeding thing they added with extinction. This way, the ships would be more protected and shipyards would have a greater use (maybe give them a minor durability buff while harbored). My boats keep getting attacked by crocodiles and such that aggro onto my crewmembers. This would be a nice fix.

This game is Early ACCESS... maybe you didn't understand when people use the word "EA"..... Early access means NO GM's... like the games not even out yet.... like... duh dude... how is this not common sense... THEY ARE DEVELOPING THE GAME... ALL MONEY IS GOING INTO DEVELOPING IT.. NOT SUSTAINING AN ACTIVE PLAYERBASE. Right now they need to focus on bugs, and development... not replacing a @#$@#$@#$@#$ brig you lost to a bug that you can farm again in 30 min.... FOR THE LAST TIME... EARLY ACCESS MIGHT NOT BE FOR SOME OF YOU...

ok, so $50,000,000 / $160,000 ($80,000 per employee for 2 years) = 312.5 full time employees with no other operating expenses. Yeah, I'll take 200 GM's to go through the endless list of "i've lost my blah blah blah", reports. and have the company bankrupt in 2 years. Nope, I'm saying they are not going to use the profits made from Ark to provide support for Atlas.

If I went out and purchased a new car and 2 days later the transmission fell out, I'd be back at the dealership pronto. If the car manufacturer told me, "We're sorry but we're not going to replace your transmission because we aren't spending money on mechanics, we're spending it on engineers to keep the transmission from falling out in the first place,"..... I'd go home and start cleaning the guns. Fixing a busted transmission in a new car is not immediate gratification, it's called a responsibility to your customers.

The minute one pays for a product, one has the right to expect to be treated like a customer. Testers in free alpha and beta trials of times gone by could not reasonably expect support. In a paid EA, one should certainly expect to encounter bugs and glitches, but to say that one should expect unprofessional levels of CS response times just because it is EA is ignoring the difference between free trials and paid. If Wildshot™ does not want to provide reasonable levels of CS support during EA, let them make EA free. They are not broke, sitting on 3 years of Top 10 steam levels of revenue from Ark. Failing to provide professional levels of CS in a paid product, EA or no, is not excusable.

Not surprising. This is just one of the many reasons I play on a server that does have an active GM (an unofficial server). This is not likely to change until the game is released, and possibly not even then. Just want to clarify, I think what they told you is fairly accurate (still sucks for you though). They do not have the resources to have enough GMs to help with problems like yours. This is the way ARK is also handled (similar, some say same company), which is why I'm not at all surprised.

^This. Maybe a pair of bulls can carry more? Make them slower but increase carry weight

Game doesn’t need to do anything. Your ship, your responsibility. If I went to a freeport right now without any knowledge but that there are different rules there, I’d make damn sure I got everything straighten out before I go offline for the night.
