  1. I'm not sure if you have read these suggestions or not? Remove Combat timers- along with that change make it so that a company must hold an island for 5 days before being able to war. Once they can war, they can drop a war deck on anyone where the defender gets to choose which of that companies(attackers) islands will be vaunerable for the duration of the war. War ends after 24 hrs or when one island is taken. Increase anquored ship plank resistance to at least 1000%, while decreasing structure resistance on the ship by 75%. This would make it so that they can sink your ship while your offline, but it will be wasteful, and they can at least loot it without sinking it. Small personal non connected Freeport bank- an npc at freeports that will hold 20 slots of anything for you, so that smaller companies can do buissiness with larger companies. Small guys need that threat of a tiny amount of unraidable loot, so that other that putting it at the bottom of the ocean. They can steal nice things, and trade them instead of word spreading among bigger companies that they need to be kicked from the game, and that your kill on sight. Remove building on the bottom of the ocean. At least make it so that you cant build outside of claims and lawless. It makes it too easy for a company to hide raid weapons in your server, and they can just sail a sloop from the Freeport over to attack your land each and every combat timer These are honest suggestions that fit in perfectly with other things already implemented in the game. It makes the game better for large companies and small ones. These dont have to be these exact changes, but does no one else see, that the way this game is designed, only the biggest group is meta. Which is why only one pvp group will exists soon, unless devs do something. Red is dead= one day theres no red I'm getting tired of this, my voice has almost gone out.
  2. Currently the vitamin increasing arrows cover the vitamin bar to where it is difficult to tell the level. They should either be slightly smaller than the bar itself or moved downward away from the area that vitamins usually hover around.

    Sail Variety

    At the moment there is only 1 viable sail configuration per ship with very very few exceptions: all Speed and the bigger the better. Sailing Speed is currently one if not the most important attribute for ships and not only for PvP ships. Roughly 95% of all the ships are currently like this: Sloop: 1 Medium Speed Sail Schooner: 1 Large Speed Sail & 1 Small Speed Sail Brigantine: 3 Large Speed Sails Galleon: 6 Large Speed Sails But this game offers 3 different sailtypes with different blueprint attributes in 3 different sizes. We have the Speed Sails, the Handling Sails and the Weight Sails, each in Large, Medium and Small size. Lets have a look at what these Sails have to offer: Common Speed Sails: By far the highest unmodified topspeed Fast ship turning at top speed Average sail opening, closing and turning speed Blueprinted Speed Sails: Max Velocity attribute is currently not working and has 0 effect on your speed Sail Turning Effectiveness allows for even faster ship turning at top speed, works as intended Common Handling Sails: Around 25% slower than Speed Sails, very noticeable Fast ship turning at almost closed sails or low speed By far the fastest sail opening, closing and turning speed, allows quick stops and rapid acceleration Offers the best wind angles, allows sailing against the wind with decent speed Blueprinted Handling Sails: Acceleration attribute currently gives the sail both Top Speed and Acceleration increases, outruns Speed Sails in top speed at above the 130% value Wind Angle attribute offers better speed against the wind by improving the wind catch angle of the Sails Common Weight Sails: Around 40% slower than Speed Sails, extremely noticeable Average to low ship turning speed By far the slowest sail opening, closing and turning speed, slow acceleration and requires a long time for a fullstop Same wind angles as Speed Sails, even though Weight Sails are visually more similar to Handling Sails Provides a flat Weight Bonus of 1000, 2500 or 4000 depending on size (reduces the speed slowdown for ships that usually have above 55% weight) Blueprinted Weight Sails: Offers only 1 special attribute: % increase to the Weight Bonus of the single Weight Sail (example: 120% = from 4000 to 4800, only 800 more carryweight) Now lets take a look at the different sizes: (The numbers below are from rough speed testing with the sextant on a testserver) Large Sails - Sail Unit points: 2.7: Maximum Speed / 100% Weight Sail Bonus: 4000 Extra Weight Medium Sails - Sail Unit points: 1.7: Below half the Speed / ~46% Weight Sail Bonus: 2500 Extra Weight Small Sails - Sail Unit points: 1.0: Very low Speed / ~ 22% Weight Sail Bonus: 1000 Extra Weight Now lets take a look at some possible Speed Sail configurations and size variety: Sloop: 1 Medium Speed Sail: 46 2 Small Speed Sails: 22+22 = 44 (additional mast = more crew required) (slowest) Schooner: 1 Large Speed Sail & 1 Small Speed Sail: 100+22 = 122 2 Medium Speed Sails: 46+46 = 92 (25% slower) 4 Small Speed Sails: 22+22+22+22 = 88 (2 additional masts = 2 additional crew required) (slowest) Brigantine: 3 Large Speed Sails: 100+100+100 = 300 5 Medium Speed Sails: 46+46+46+46+46 = 230 (~25% slower) (2 additional masts = 2 additional crew required) 8 Small Speed Sails: 22x8 = 176 (~42% slower) (5 additional masts = 5 additional crew required) (weird) 2 Large Speed Sails, 1 Medium Speed Sail & 1 Small Speed Sail: 100+100+46+22 = 268 (~11% slower) (additional crew required) Galleon: yes My personal Solution to the lack of Sail Variety would be: Speed buff to Small Sails by 50% Speed buff to Medium Sails by 40% Sail unit cost of Medium Sails from 1.7 to 1.8 Decrease the speed of Speed Sails by around 10% Allow all 3 Sailtypes to have an increase in speed by blueprints Slightly better Wind Angles for Weight Sails Additional Notes: The buff to the Small and Medium Sails would still not make them faster than larger sails but close the giant speed gap between them, allowing for different setups without losing too much. Weight Sails are clearly the least useful sailtype at the moment and need a rework. (3 Large Weight Sails are slower than 2 Large Speed Sails at average weight) (even after recent changes) Fixing the Max Velocity on blueprinted Speed Sails would make the other 2 sailtypes way more useless. Speed Sails should remain the most used sailtype in my opinion, the other appear to me as support sails.

  5. Little & not so little requests for pve improvements in no particular order. (Edited to include additional posts in thread by myself & others). 1. Auto Closing Doors. Seriously. 2. Revisit Vitamins. Everyone hates them. So now there's a do-stuff-til-you-die mini-game going on. We all do it. At a minimum, the timers for berries and greens need to as long as the ones for meat, and all the feed-your-face timers need to be longer. Alternatively, please consider focusing negative deficiency effects to things like stamina, along the lines of old age effects. No players should be dieing from scurvy in just a few game days. 3. Please consider adding a real "Transfer ALL" to the HUD (inventory + hot bar + equpped), in addition to the current one that just transfers inventory. A double arrow icon above the current one works. 4. Consider reducing Sea claim sizes around islands, or altogether. The current situation is just ridiculous. 5. More balance on decay rates (e.g. earthworms decay b4 they can be used 4 taming) 6. Change "Join Now" to "Delete Your Character and Reroll" or some such 7. Consider reclassifying eggs as protein. 8. Shipyards: a) while building allow unlimited moving around pieces like sails and wheels until the ship is launched. b) allow launched ships to snap back into the shipyard / drydock for repairs & such along with c) an option to repair "all" from the shipyard. 9. Ships: Add a "gangplank", like the rope ladder, that can be extended to land or bldg's to help with loading, unloading. A 2 tile extension to a shipyard would do it. walking-the-plank, and keel-hauling animations at your discretion. 10. Dye's - Consider adding "dye color" to the description of any dyed item. 11. Add tooltip to improved recipes so we can tooltip over the recipe to see exactly what the particular missing ingredients are. 12. Please add an option to increase the tooltip and chat text size. 2x the current size at a minimum 13. Please consider adding "auto-repair" task option to ship crew 14. Add 'Transfer All" to ship resource box 15. Add "Edit Pet Name" to pet options Thanks for the info Firzt! 16. Please adjust/normalize sound effects for food trough and mess table containers - currently way too loud vs. other effects 17. Breeding - show the sex of the pet in the dialogue box asking us to name them. 18. Either increase animal food stacks, decay time, preserving times, or all of the above. Unless it's the intent to force players to stay awake for 40+ hours at breeding pets, a stack needs to last though the 8 hours between imprinting. 19. We sorely need a respec recipe, potion, food, or quest location. (thanks for adding that to the patch) 20. Tarot/Voodoo idea - A short "fill my sails" effect for a little scoot when the wind's just not working for ya. 21. Especially at sea, add an option for a confirmation dialogue box before demolishing items. The current nested wheels with options that rotate between layers is a recipe for disaster. 22. Add auto on off for lanterns when day and night cycles, AND change repairing lantern to refilling with oil. 23. Please bring back the compost box. Poop/fertilizer detail needs to be shared amongst the entire company. 24. Fix strawberries - they are not harvestable again 25. Increase heat effect range of grills and campfires to at least a radius of one full tile. 26. Consider replacing preserving salt with raw salt for making salted meats. Currentlly, raw meat cannot be preserved in a preserving bag because it eats up the preserving salt. 27. Add option to see Company members on map. 28. For the love of Peet, change the color of player location crosshair on the map to something other than the red claim flag color. Players are getting nose prints on their monitors. 29. Back to the Ship function dialogue wheel. Please pull Ship Properties to the top layer. Move Demolish to bottom layer (with a confirm) 30. Stone Water Reservoir - Increase storage capacity to 2x large plot boxes, or 1200 units. Right now they drain before the plot box ever needs it. 31. Fix old Ark engine plot box bug where they stop functioning and need to be replaced for no apparent reason. 32. Not Little at all - Fix losing pets when loading to ship asap. In many cases they are loading under ship on the sea floor, and then die. 33. Add more bed styles - captains bed and hammocks for starters. 34. Improve Fishing. Add more fish types and turn-ins at Freeports for prize fish. Add treasure maps to fishing loot pool. 35. Add a mounting bolt to ship decks to literally tie pets down to ship decks. 36. - Make ladders always allow you to climb them by hitting "E"! And keep always "Hold E" for all other actions like demolish, extend, retract etc. 37. - Fix "Forest" color dye. It doesn't work (and never was). 38. Fix "Demolition allowed" to Lighthouses in Lawless. Right now it's "Decay time 02:00:00:00" and "demolition allowed" at the same time. 39. - Add a "players in region" somewhere so any1 could see - who is on your gird, what company he belongs to and where is he right now (island/open seas?) 40. - Add "group gathering" feature so any1 could "join the party" and head to groups adventures like golden age, kraken, high SotD's hunting, treasure etc. 41. - REMOVE RAINS from Tundra/Polar. At least when temperature is below zero. Right now you can see -27'C and RAIN? What kind of rain is that? 42. - Peaceful fluffy snowfall and heavy snowstorms in Tundra/Polar would be nice tho... 43- I wish to see st. Elmo's fire before thunderstorms and rainbow after a rain. Falling stars would be nice too. 44.- What if you find all discoveries in a grid and then you get info about all resources you can find there? 45. - Add stern, nose and open deck gunport and limit guns placement to just gunports : ) 46. Would be nice, if from the captain's wheel you had a speed indicator and depth indicator. Maybe even an onscreen compass across the top. 47. Add a button to a storage, that UNITE all same stuff to a stack. 48. some civil human beings NPCs at least on some islands would be really nice (not sure how to do that tho... maybe some travelers with random camps or... even small villages). 49. Would be nice, if from the captain's wheel you had a speed indicator and depth indicator. (and % opening sails). 50. Add some kind of collision detection to player ship do not collide with SotD when entering a new server. 51. Allow players to pick up and move swivel cannons, like a water barrel. 52. Consider allowing players to use swivel cannons from their hot bar directly (with some kind of movement penalty?)
  6. I have taming and Piracy. As a pirate, I can make cages, nooses, handcuffs, etc. But the last ability in the Piracy Tree... is USELESS in PVE. How can I claim a ship that I can't even get on? Instead we get the floating "bug" and you can't do anything except die or hope someone grapples you out. Also, having to knock someone out to handcuff them... sure... that's cool. But they can still run away when they wake up. Grappling Hook isn't exactly great looking (or efficient) when dragging someone to a cage or something. Maybe enable the Bludgeon to be able to knock out anyone in PVE (does no damage, just increases Torpor). It would help when trying to arrest and punish bad visitors. But... basically almost the entire Piracy Tree is useless. I have abandoned boats in my Harbor that have been there for weeks and I can't even claim them as a pirate! This needs to be fixed. Especially for PVE. Pirates and Captaineering people should be the only ones that can board/claim ships... While they are anchored. Consider each ship has a flag and there should be an appropriate flag timer. Of course Pirates with the last Skill can declaim faster. This will help fix the abandoned boats issues in PVE without having to wait for 3 weeks of inactivity when it only takes 1 spawn to "reset" it for another 3 weeks. Treat each ship as flags, just like land claims. Pirates can claim ships faster. Cannot be claimed until the flag timer runs down due to inactivity. The more ships the company has, the lower the timer is... just like with land claims as they are now.
  7. Not sure if this has been fixed in game yet as I've been messing around in dev kit the last few game patches. However, it seems the issue related to the mens faces disappearing when they put on the pirate/hide pants is related to the wrong texture being plugged in to the material instance. I stumbled upon the issue while attempting to convert all the armor to skins because there are a few with very similar names but when the correct texture is plugged in, the gaping hole in the mesh of the mans face was fixed. Hopefully this helps?   9. I don’t know if it’s a coincidence but after I entered F13 I started crashing when opening map. Then I died and crashed because it shows a map, I keep getting assertion failed and I’ve reinstalled, verified game cache, rebooted pc. Don’t know what to do is there a fix to this yet??

    Claim Flag Nerf

    With the exception of the flags used to capture ships, claim flags should be limited to 4 per person in a company (10 for a 1-4 man company). For example, if you had 10 people in a company, the most amount of claim flags you can place down is 50. If a person were to leave the company and thus lower the max claim flags that your company is allowed to place, the owner must choose which flags to remove on the map. The owner doesn't need to decide immediately (He could be mid-battle or away for the day), and can be given 3 days to decide before the system automatically picks for him/her; however, during this period, you will not be able to place additional flags. * If the person that left rejoins or another person joins, the max claim flag limit goes up, thus negating the 3 days to decide; with this method, people who accidentally leave or people that like to troll won't harm the company *
  11. Got on earlier this morning to woek on a few things log off for a couple hours and when i came back not even 3 hours later half of our claims had been taken by randos from another sector. We provided a service to the region by leasing land and using taxed rss to pay for brigs to kill SODs in the region keeping everyone safer. Its insane that we lost our flags on a 3 day system in three hours. We even replaced them to keep them refreshed and on a 3 day timer. Oh well now they dont get to have any resources as we have blocked all respawns on the island with fresh flags and buoys Figure out a flag system for pve and keep it seperate from the pvp flag system. -Leader of ChronicallyRavingCo.   12. Region Block and Asian servers..... literally stopped playing last night for the first time since launch because I was chasing rubber-banding chinese around while one was invisible sniping everybody somehow.... server also was running fine until we starting killing them.....

    A Fix To Current Claim Flag issues

    All of the claim flag problems would be fixed if a company could allow tenants or people to build in a claim area that they designate buildable in. Allowing large companies to retain their land, gives land to people to build in, if done correctly protects valuable resources, even promotes appeasing your populace as having more citizens means more from taxes even if you have the lowest taxes in the region. Mind yall this is if the bug with the 3 day timer is ever fixed.
  14. Hello everybody, we have the problem that since our neighboring company has set a buoy. The on this island trees, stones, etc. which were mined were no longer respawn. We were hoping that it was only because of the patching, but now spawn there are 24 hours nothing more. Please help. We are just building a ship and do not want to sail another 18 hours through the opposite with a raft to find a piece of land at last which one can claim.

    Leveling Rollback

    So I spent a lot of time building a sloop and i mean hours of my time to log off and find that with the new update i can no longer work on the sloop. The skills to do so cost way to much and we are only given 2 skill points each time you level up. There is no way that i will be able to fight ghost ships with a sloop as the skill points required to get cannons and weapons cost way too much to get to that point. Please fix this so that i can enjoy playing this game again!!!!!
  16. Hey guys, i got some News for you Maybe I found a fix for this Problem. For myself i got the UE4 Fatal Error Line 508 everytime i tried loading in on a Server. The game freezed on the PrimalGameData_PB Screen and showed me the Crash Message. I tried everything to fix it like everyone else but nothing worked. But then i tried to update my BIOS to the newest Version (ASUS Prime Z270-A Mainboard) and it worked for me. Maybe this will fix the problems for some of u guys. Maybe its not working for everyone, since I was only able to test this for myself. Good Luck
  17. My company has an entire island filled with flags, saying their coordinates when they are being taken isn't helpful at all. It should be indicated on the map which flag is being claimed.
