    Pathfinders, We hear your concerns about the Explosive Barrel changes. We’re introducing some server side fixes to help balance the issues that we can now. We will continue to look at and address further issues into the next week. We will not be rolling back servers at this time. Please find the patch notes for tonight's hotfix below: Catapult reload time for explosive barrels increased significantly (Reload time may not match animation until next major patch) Fixed bug where NPCs were spawning with Puckles Fixed bug where explosive barrels would drop instantly when thrown while on a ship Temporary Fix: Made explosive barrels get destroyed when thrown onto a ship until we can completely address bugs with intended functionality

    I have concerns as does every single other player. First off, there are loads of people that enjoy land pvp, so please don’t try to abolish that or make it more difficult. I realize your goal is to get more ships on the Sea and more ship battles and I think the farmhouse was a great help to that goal. A very nice addition that was reasonably balanced. But does it really need to be expanded on with warehouses? And then the barrel bomb issue which has concerned most, what reason is there to change the barrels in the first place? Let alone make them 10x more dangerous and applicable. I’ve heard several people say if they may quit after this update, and I myself have questioned my motive to keep playing. Balance is key, and the scales seem to be tipped against all players. Please take into consideration the opinions of those in this chat and the rest of the player base. The true loyal player base of this game really do love the game. We all want it to grow and expand, but worry that it may change for the worse. Never less we appreciate the time and effort that the team puts into the game. Just don’t forget about us.

    Ahoy, Please fix the warehouses, in my opinion it is far more important than any changes to explosive barrels. From what players are experiencing the best course of action would probably be to have the structure placement parameters something very similar to the crew silo, one per island per company. Please start paying more attention to the pve aspects and less on the pvp.

    this shows once more u have your priorities set so wrong its starting to look like a benny hill show., keep this up and u'll loose whatever player base u have left faster then the previous incompetent devteam. it also shows again that u have no clue about your own game because u don't play it yourself. - fix your garbage servers, your game lives or dies with solid foundations, one of those foundations is are stable servers that doesn't become unplayable the moment it crosses 50 players. y're pushing sea play yet u cant even do sea play properly because of your garbage servers. - fix the SOTD (no explanation needed) if u do see the tip at the bottom. - Clean up lawless, allowing people to build sky scrapping pyramids or walls that donald trump even can dream off is what makes it impossible for even xbox players to login on there own base is a joke. (PvE C7 f.e) -U decided to reduce the map to 11x11 and put NA and EU together for , (whoever came up with that one should be fired on the spot) at least put a limit on islands owned per company to 1 so more people have a chance on there own island and not forced to live on lawless wich is resulting in lawless being unplayable and a mess. having 1 island per company is more then enough. if they need resources or anything from other biomes they can sail for it, helps achieve your agenda for more seaplay aswell - fix your farmhouses/warehouses, even tho its ecstatically pleasing to look at they really don't do/add much other then being used as a griefing tool on pve. for island owners they only should be placable by themselves or allies., for lawless limit it to 2 per company. best is to get rid of both at all cuz they don't add anything to the game. - lit a fire up those behinds who are your so called support ticket team, reports being closed instantly with solved without even being looked at is a joke. remember, those reports are for u to make the game better! -stop adding new stuff and fix the tons of issues first. with every update u do u breaking the game even more. - tip: make a character and start playing the game so u get a feel about whats wrong with your own game.

    I agree. FIX the WAREHOUSES please. 1 warehouse per company and per grid/island. So many of us can not place a warehouse at all...some islands can only fit 1 so the guy who placed his first gets it and no one else. THIS is simply just wrong! Also, it will take a day for you to fix spawns! iF IT LOOKS LIKE A STRAWBERRY, MAKE IT A STRAWBERRY!

    The Changes to Barrel bombs are going to badly unbalance the game, and probably lead to the complete wiping of multiple harbors/island/companies. Not sure of the why this was done, but i think its going to prove to be a bad. Please roll these changes back before half the game gets wiped and quits the season.

    No point in playing when devs dont take any feedbacks from their player, this whole barrel update is wrong in every way, and they are to stubborn to remove it. No one wants the barrels ingame, we asked for them to be removed, you guys give it 100 times more use. Rollback the servers and forget this update ever existed, and please never ever let a idea like this get into your head again, this update made your playerbase drop signifily, whoever came up with this idea should never get a vote of anything ever again

    I constantly hear people defending ideas but forget this team implemented torpedos and submarines,so how does the team adhere to the Pirate theme?So we need to quit creating excuses. FACT:They have been complaining about server strain from breeding in Ark.They have been trying to work around it in Ark but with less employees and less care for Atlas,don't be surprised to just see them remove stuff. I want to QUIT seeing nerf after nerf ,i want to see the game grow and NOT with automation like farmhouses and warehouses.So again if this was adhering to a true PIRATE game,would they have warehouses,farm houses?NO so yeah quit making excuses for them.

    If people didn't buy this game for pve as well as pvp, then this forum and Atlas probably wouldn't exist, due to the severe lack of finances the company would have got. Yeh the devs seem to have forgotten this fact, much to their detriment, but the fact remains. Yeh maybe they are running a business that doesn't need income....then again, maybe not.

    I've played from the beginning. I suffered through 3 seasons of doing the exact same crap over and over. We've begged for fixes and we've received some but now, a year and a half later and cobras still glitch through stone floors and walls and are able to kill tames. This WAS fixed at one point but it's broken AGAIN! How the @#$%^ do you do that? A year and a half later and tames still glitch into walls and foundations and get stuck. A year and a half later and tames still disappear off ships while sailing. A year and a half later and LAG is worse than it's ever been. A year and a half later and taming is worse than it's ever been. It was improved (feeding box was adjusted) but that was reversed? A year and a half later and there are MORE bugs than when the game was released. A year and a half later and the Developers don't acknowledge their players concerns or wants and needs. I'm a pretty easy going person but this game doesn't deserve any more chances. It's become apparent that they really don't give a shit about the community and at this point are just trying to make a few more bucks with Steam sales and hoping they can get a release to PS4. A roadmap was presented but just to placate and dangle out there to get more people to purchase. Nice bait and switch tactic. I'm done. There was one employee that actually gave a damned from what I could tell so a big thanks to @Voodoo. The long standing PC community that built and bred and explored is really the only thing that made this game good so thanks to you guys as well for a semi-fun ride. But to the Developers, thanks for very little.

    Please. Please sell it to a more capable company. This game has so much amazing potential. Try Bioware or Amazon. They would buy the assets to add to New World as an expansion. Just please, sell it. You can't afford what this game needs. I'm sorry.

    I am just returning to PvE was on the NA server before so now have moved to the EU server. I have played on that server before the most recent wipe and it was playable. Since coming back my ping is always above 130 and the game lags horribly. It makes sailing nearly impossible. I am curious if other players are also experiencing this or if possibly it is something on my end. Any suggestions? Do we think they will patch this soon so I can enjoy it?

    remove the barrels, it was unbalanced as f the last few tries to implement it in this game. and you have to play the game to understand why it is broken in almost any way you implement it. please ask your community what is wrong with it and how you could fix it or play with your community and let them show you.

    Many SotDs are broken, Appear, stasis, disappear. But have u played it since yesterday @Bluestone? There are many SotD actice too. The lvl 56 galleon, that almost sink my brig yesterday was real and active. And when there would have been an unmassaged update and a login close to this ship or the other groups of schooner and brigs i saw and fought yesterday. it would have been sunk. So dont say, they are all broken and wont attack anyone.

    get rid of Explosive Barrel fired off of ships way too much damage of a shot gun schooner.... I would say leave it on the bear cannon but i bet they cannt change how the cannons are loaded on different placements

    Notes on the new Warehouse: 1 - The idea of putting a 2km range (or any one) did not work. This meant that, in the vast majority of islands in the game, only one or two tribes will be able to install it. 2 - If you go through problem number 1, you will see that your struggle was in vain, because, to solve the location of your installation, you will probably not be in the range of your own Farmhouses. 3 - Going beyond question 2, you will see that the Warehouse collects items much more slowly than your Farmhouse can produce, in addition to not collecting wood. That is, your Farmhouse will soon be full and shut down. In summary, Warehouse has not solved the "tedious collection problem" of its Farmhouse resources. Not only that, it created another tedious problem of having to start connecting your Farmhouse and collecting the wood and thatch that was not collected. In addition, it created the work of taking the wood to the Warehouse, remembering that it is consuming a lot of wood, I spent 9 packs of 500 to collect the resource of only 2 Farmhouse and it was not completely enough. Suggestions: a) Allow a tribe to have a single Warehouse per island (completely forget about the idea of range, as it doesn't make any sense) b) Do not modify the range of Farmhouses, this is not necessary to correct the problem and will create new ones, because if a farmhouse is demolished it will probably never be able to be replaced, given the large number of them. To resolve limit to a maximum of 5 Farmhouse per tribe per island c) Connect all Farmhouses on the island, from the same tribe, with the limit proposed in item b. d) Enable a resource selector from which items will be collected. Select the item to be used as fuel and define a minimum of this item, so the Warehouse can collect everything that is available in the Farmhouses.

    The damage to the game is irreversible, there is no chance they could pull off something like No Man Sky did. They don't understand the code to change things around so what you see now is pretty much what you will see forever with a few tweaks here and there. Lets be honest, how much has changed in the 2 years since release? Not alot has changed, most of it has stayed intact and that should tell us everything. The game needs building from the ground up but it won't happen. Their main priority is Ark which I've never played and I don't want to either.

    I remember watching an episode of Kitchen Nightmares where Gordon Ramsay walks into the kitchen and the chef is boiling a burger patty. I had the same reaction when i read the barrel changes in this patch. I honestly can't tell if these Devs are just dumb AF or trolling us.

    So.. i dont care about warehouses... ii taxes can be connected directly to the flag.. why farmhouses cant.... but.. want to write something about barrel changes... in season 1 was removed ability shoot barrels from canons.. i think you was able to use them only in ship canons before it was removed... Ships in season 1 havent ability to skill into dmg.. there was only crew, beds, weight and sturdiness... and devs knew about how broken barrels are..... so they remove this posibility to shoot them from ship canons..... Now... season 4... over year later.. we have it here back... but now.. you are able to skill ships into dmg (252%) max... and we have stupidly ridiculous high dmg roll on canons from maps... BUT you can now load barrels into catapults and large canons too... tell me pls.. how stupid you must be to not see this... noone is safe now.. even in harbour... only one safe place is now... freeport... btw.. still waiting for tradewinds... wasnt it trademark of map change? i think you are able to shoot 200 barrels in minute from catapult.. whit 150% dmg catapult.. thats 15000 dmg per shot.. thats 3 000 000 dmg in minute? and you can place catapult on horse... great idea... great dev team.. but i think you need a little comon sence and someone .. who will tell you how to play this game

    Even if there are workarounds does not mean it is in any way, shape or form acceptable to not have them fixed! Even if you were capable of walking bare-footed over lava, doesn't mean anyone else has to do it. People refuse to rely on workarounds to get even the most basic shit done, and for good reason. And no, what Sydhart did was NOT stupid, except for maybe expecting the devs to show any sign of competence or believing any of the crap they keep telling us. The devs did something stupid. And misled white knights like you refuse to have them being held accountable for their mistakes. We are paying(!) customers(!), not some cheap QA slaves. We absolutely, positively, do not have to put up with this kind of crap.

    Today i learned that the game breaking down because of critical software bugs is actually the user's fault for not working around them. He did not put his cat in the microwave. The microwave blew up and irradiated the whole neighborhood because of how shitty it was made, despite only being used as intended. Do you seriously oppose the bugs being fixed in your overzealous white knight's crusade?

    Yeh I know, along with pve, BIG MISTAKE. But its not my project it's theirs. If they want to take all the content out of the game and just leave ship battles(YAWN) It's their problemo not mine. If I just want ship battles with prefab boats I'll play naval action, and hopefully skull and bones eventually. I like survival mmo's too and there are plenty around. Atlas is just a small fish in a big sea.

    While its not a bad idea I honestly believe they have a lot more important and very basic issues that need correcting. It seems like unofficial servers rival official population wise and we still are not able to access certain coding or have some coding that just doesn't work. Lets get that stuff out of the way first then work on QoL stuff.

    Less people are playing because it’s not even playable in some regions of PVE. We went to H5 because I wanted to see it and I almost didn’t make it out. The Monster Of The Blue Lag-goon is the best boss yet. You can defeat him with a fast PC and low ping but he’s always there.

    Everyone is experiencing it from what I've seen and heard in chat. I've posted multiple times about it in the General Forum and in the Bug Report forum. I tried to do a map last night in F7 and the AOD were warping and rubberbanding so bad I couldn't hit them or dodge the big guys swings on my bear. Ended up dieing because of it and ran back, finished the last 2 AOD, but it bugged the treasure map and said there were 2 more guardians (which there wasn't). Couldn't complete the map. Game is running terrible right now. No one @ATLASis acknowleding the issue which makes it worse.

    I've been watching my fortitude and I've tried a few things to understand the dynamic. Things I've tried: 1. wearing the same clothes for a prolonged period of time 2. adding and taking away certain animals that boost fortitude 3. increasing my fortitude when i level up What I've observed is that the fortitude number changes dramatically even when all external factors remain constant. I've seen my fortitude drastically shift between a starting point of 52 down to as little as 18 without making any changes that would theoretically affect it. I suggest stabilizing this number and simplifying the mechanic so that debits and credits on fortitude are more obvious (if I put on certain armor it will increase or decrease). If you're trying out a complicated fortitude dynamic, whatever you've implemented isn't logic that the rest of us can follow, so it would be good to simplify this so we can enjoy the game and not constantly die of overheating without any option to change the situation

    In single player i'm lev 70+ my fortitude is mammoth high, but my vits still seem to decrease at the same rate. And I've put all the points into the skill tree for it too.

    I've witnessed the same thing... Shortly after a respec, my fortitude was in the 60's, then it dropped to the 20's for no discernible reason -- It is really confusing. There is not much clarity on how, or how much, fortitude effects anything. No matter how much I pump fortitude (eat the right foods, or wear the right clothes), I'm still dying from extreme weather... So frustrating!!
