Half ramp, half ceiling tile, gate wide enough for elephants/rhinos, but not a damn large behemoth gate. Also the large gates and walls need to snap like the smaller items. Should have a free floating placement option and snap option. Why? I want clean gate/wall installs. My OCD kicks in and I start replacing existing ones because I think they are ugly when they are not perfectly lined up.

Right now a lot of the bonus events we've been hosting help us with profiling and analysing server performance. In the future, we'd like to be more sporadic with them. Perhaps have some on the weekend, some on weekdays, during holidays/special occasions. We certainly recognize that keeping it limited to weekends only and having it every weekend leads to folks only wanting to play then or missed opportunities for players who aren't able to play on the weekend. However, it's needed at the moment, as we typically see our highest CCUs on weekends and we can get the most out of our profiling then. We'd also like to play with specific types of changes rather than always having 2x Taming/XP/Gathering such as a bonus event to XP, or maybe crop growth, slaying AoD/SoD etc.

Because MOST people work a 9-5 5 day a week job. The 2x is intended to encourage people to play when they have the most time available. It is not unfair at all. Even in the groups you listed most of them again are not working the weekends or working them all the time. If they did what you are saying then 2x are not special nor do they encourage people to play more in their free time. You are simply upping the amount we get permanently. Your title sounds a bit entitled. Implying that because you have to work it is unfair. As if you are somehow being screwed over because you have to work those hours. You are in the minority in general, and nothing is going to ever be completely fair. Welcome to the real world.

Hi guys! I'm just putting together some ideas for the devs. Who knows, maybe they'll implement some or all of them IDEA: Keeping the sailors in PvE sailing - Ships become floating bases. - Once you have your shipyard, and a merry port, players want to team up and feel as though there's some great stuff to explore on the vast oceans of the realm. The devs have already begun to develop places to go, but what about the ships themselves? The components of a ship need an overhaul to become a truly great mobile base that every adventurer would love. So, here's some suggestions as to what needs to be done with the ships themselves to make them more ocean-sustainable: A Ship's galley - A component that fits a portion of the ship's deck (depending on the size/width of the ship's hull), and snaps to that portion of the deck, depending on which deck the player wants it. The galley component would house the cooking materials, stacking food bag storage, cupboards, ice chamber, chicken cages (number depending upon the size of the ship/galley), and a food prep area. The player could 'move' chickens to the cages, depending on the number of cages there are (not counting as crew space), or they could have them loose on the decks, taking up crew space. The storage bags could stack and organize the food much the same as a resource container. Tier 2 Animal (Cow/Horse/Bear/Lion/Tiger) Stall - A component that you snap to a ship deck that would house tier 2 animals below the decks. The catch: It must have an air shaft that reaches to the top deck. On the top deck, you'd see a vent-looking 1x2 square area that the animal will 'spawn' at when you take them out of the cages once anchored. You can put the component on the very bottom deck, but the decks above it would have a railing around that 1x2 square area (in other words, they can't build on the blocks above it). Tier 3 Animal Stall - Same as the Tier 2 Animal stall, only larger opening to the top (2x3 block area), and small openings on the top deck to allow the giraffe's neck to poke out, given their height. Hammocks - These are placed on the ceiling of the floor tile above your head with a limit of 1 per snap tile that you can use. Each hammock you place increases your crew size without leveling the ship. However, if one is destroyed, you will lose that crew space until/unless you level the ship. When docked, you will find the crew sweeping the deck, or resting in a hammock, if you have one. Ship bells - I don't know how these were missed, but should be a functional component to a ship in some way, perhaps signaling the start and end of a day, as well as high noon. Beat to Quarters - Various types of drums can be made, from traditional snare drums to the more-tribal drums. Either way, these will beat when you open your gun ports! Ship's whistle - When you raise and drop anchor, the ship's whistle will sound. I wanted to have it whenever you change anything related to the sails, but that would get REALLY annoying in this game. Captain's Cabin - This would be a ship component that only snaps to the stern of the ship. If installed, it would have windows and such allowing you to see through that part of the ship's hull. Since this would be one component that really varies in style and functionality, there SHOULD be various TYPES of Captain's Cabins. For the sake of example, I'll list a few variations you should have: a) Basic: Snaps to small hull, and consists of a small room with a desk (with a small chart and compass on it), chair, and a functional bed. b) Medium: Snaps to a medium hull, and consists of a medium size room with a desk (with a small chart and compass on it), chair, windows, a cabinet, and a functional bed. c) Large with Gun ports: Snaps to a large hull, and consists of a large size room with a fancy large desk (with a large chart and compass on it), chair, windows, cabinets, a weapons locker, 2 x stern cannon gun ports (cannons not included), and a functional bed. d) Large (without Gun ports): Snaps to a large hull, and consists of a large size room with a fancy large desk (with a large chart and compass on it), chair, windows, cabinets, a weapons locker, a lovely seating area where the gun ports would be, and a functional bed. Raise the colors! - Flags can be a lovely component added atop your masts in a variety of ways. But, allowing a player to put their Company flag on their ship would be nice! Storage hold - A component that would snap to the ship deck to allow for more hull carry capacity (basically dropping the weight of any of the materials being carried by the ship). The player could put multiple holds on the ship, depending on the size of the ship to maximize for this type of hauling, and they could be placed on multiple snap points of the deck. However, if it is placed in an area where a section of gun ports would go, the player would NOT be able to place gunports in that location. The storage hold would feature a cosmetic look of wooden crates, bags, and treasure chests. VARIOUS COSMETIC STYLES OF THESE COMPONENTS COULD BE SOLD FOR GOLD IN THE FREEPORTS. That's one part of the ideas. Tell me what you think below! Cheers!

Spent couple days building castle on platform only to vanish infront of my eyes.Half of the castle...........spent probably more than a fucking day farming just for materials. This happened before and its still happening on docks where half of the dock just vanish countless times and gave up on that. What i didnt expect is that platforms are affected too. Be careful, dont build big while this cancer is active. I know this is already reported back in april and there are threads about this but i am so pissed that i decided to make new thread.

What they need to do is make a hybrid limited claim / hex grid system. Go through each island and create a hex grid overlay of the land. Allow companies to claim a hex grid region, but limit the amount of claims they can have. No need for upkeep, just limit the number of claims. Make sure that certain hex grids are not claimable to preserve key resources (i.e. metal nodes, etc.) from being blocked in.

As long as you aren't harvesting fiber, you can simply do a search for "b" and then drop all. I do this on a giraffe and elephant. "b" will search for vegetaBles and Berries. Just a quick thing I picked up.

45 degree triangle ceiling and foundation tiles - So when building "curved" or hexagonal structures that it keeps with the same distance between square tiles. "Medium" wall tiles (2x2) or (3x3) which could snap like regular wall pieces. Building large RP structures really adds up the amount of structures required and I find myself butting up against the structure count. If I had access to large wall tiles that will actually incorporate and can be snapped to, it would really reduce the amount memory and server resources required. Buttress wall pieces would be nice. They are built into the large wall pieces, but would look nice if everything didn't have to be capped by railing in order to offset the box look. Dark and Light had them and were really fun and made things look nice. I would say a wider medium gate, but that was listed out in the May mega-update, so that is a relief. Nerradain

Manage all the servers on your Cluster with Atlas Server Control. If you want to run all the servers from one machine, you can do that too. Mod support, yes. Automatic updates? Absolutely. The Server Grid Editor has been integrated and config editing has never been easier! Even the Redis Database is taken care of by ASC. Some Basic Information - During the first run of Atlas Server Control, SteamCMD will be installed and the Setup Wizard will start. - ASC is Beta and will contain bugs and unfinished code, there will be buttons that do nothing and minimal error handling increasing chances of crashes. - I strongly recommend a clean installation of ATLAS Server Control. This will ensure no permission related issues arise. - ASC contains a Setup Wizard to assist with creating a new map or importing an existing. RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR If you dont, you'll endure days of pain and suffering. Items to be addressed - Scheduler needs refactoring and features completed - Server Grid Editor implementation is third-pass, still more work needed. - More than a dozen instances of (OMG) code that needs rewriting (still). Wiki is Here I'll try to answer questions when I have time, which unfortunately is not very often. Don't forget, there is a lot of unfinished work in this release, if something is not working, it's probably not complete. Downloads Download HERE - (Guilded Support Community)

2x I was kicked off the ship now in that fucking bossfight because she thought it was great that all ships were kicked around dumbly during the phase change. Such crappy mechanics are annoying enough, but not being able to spawn on his ship for 40 minutes and not getting anything in the end, even though the group has made it, is just the biggest crap you can imagine. Unfortunately, you did not learn anything from Ark and deliver the same shit here as there. The hardware goes to its knees, the mechanics and content walls are sneaky and the bottom line is that everything is designed for these stupid megatribes. I pay you to keep me entertained, not for you to annoy me! 5 hours for nothing ...

This was definitely my favorite to date. We needed a way to absolutely demolish anyone that wanted to come into our harbour.. We lucked out with a natural sand bar pretty much protecting all sides and with a simple sea-wall have a hell of a defended harbour! (Over 160 Guns + Swivels - Barshots, regular shot, spike shots on the back, flames in the middle, canister on the middle to side and puckles lining every direction and swivels guarding each side. Kill Count: 8 Brigs, 8 Schooners and 2 sloops. What are your favorite build projects?

    1. Ban them all, and not temps. No fucking around this time. 2. Delete all items. 3. If #2 cant be done, roll back server. 4. If #2 and #3 fail/wont work, wipe server. Its EA, server wipes are a thing and we shouldn't be overly worried about them if they are nessisary. Lets remember it was the cheaters who made it nessisary last time. It will likely be them the next time and the time after that as well. But untill we get smart enough to ban china ips this is how online gaming is.

UI/UX elements are on our radar for sure and we have plans to improve the entire experience, however, it isn't at the top of our list of things to tackle at the moment.

The more you become familiar with any given area it will continue to shrink in size in your mind. Happens with drives to new jobs, houses, buildings you frequent, etc. I've noticed it in this game myself. My island felt huge at first. Now its home, I know where everything spawns and it feels smaller.

A Schooner sinks faster than a Brig. 3 planks missing will sink a Schooner rapidly - I believe it's considered "Critical Damage". It requires 4 planks missing for a Brig to suffer the same rapid demise. This is all from experience, and I too, wish there were better patch notes.

The animal stalls are needed. We lost a vital animal last night when it *vanished* mid transport across the ocean. The stall could make it so the NPC's are fixed and won't fall off, and maybe reduce weight on the animal as well.

Are you kidding me. It's already very hard to catch people at sea without them immediately running to a cannon tower or mortars. Game needs more ocean, not more land/animals/farming.

So if you hold down N before you anchor I do believe this only works for on cannons or weapons it pulls them off the cannons and once you anchor they are sweeping away also you can set your in tame groups to actually switch them around the ship suggests reading into it

I find the snap points to be weird sometimes. A piece won't snap..so..crouching...prone..try from the other side...and sometimes it will snap where it said it wouldn't. The whole thing about setting a foundation piece that won't go by hanging a ceiling tile above it seems a lot like voodoo to me, but it works most of the time. It's way more art than science.

Someone found way to paint planks white? I mean really white, not this erase white.
  27. 1 point
Agree, they should have two options for dye. 1) wood stain (as it is at the moment) 2) thick opaque paint (perhaps set it to use 2x dye compared to wood stain). I could definitely +1 this.

Have you considered talking to him about removing those walls? I donĀ“t think changing the system because of 0,5% idiots in this game is a way to go ...

I would like pieces that mesh together neatly! Also being able to clip into things like rocks and ground. It is so hard to build right now as you get the little piece of something not right and you have to scrap your whole idea, flipping annoying. Oh AND gimmie paint that is PAINT.. can't pain wood as it looks light wood stained, walls look dirty and tinted, other things have a faint hue of a color. I WANT COLOR!!! Also yes, more building pieces would be awesome as well!

Yeah, they finally caved that the mechanic of staring at a screen, sailing with no wind or against it, for hours at a time just to experience content might just be losing them players. I am a firm believer that if you make the devs play their own game without god powers a whole mess of quality of life issues would be fixed quite fast.

they've said they were working on the animal inventory like the bank system so you can put resources into a slot that it will ignore when harvesting, not sure if it's still WIP, but Jat did say they were working on it.

Yes we all can. That does not excuse the behavior and forcing the devs to parse through emotionally driven responses is a PITA. Drop the bullshit. Post the facts. Clean it up and make it easy to understand and fix. You'll be amazed how much more attention you can get from the people who support these things if you treat them with some respect and drop the crap and talk to them in a professional manner. I agree with everything he is saying in terms of the issues presented. I just think he needs to change his presentation of these issues.

I manage the larders and gold for nearly 400 NPCs for our islands defenses - I do agree, this is a LOT of work but I do it more effectively by creating a spread-sheet as well as a map to show others where the bunkers are that need to be maintained. I'm so thankful they made NPC's consume less - but it would still be nice to see some added features - like knowing how many NPC's are within reach of my resource boxes/larders - I would also love to be notified from a DISTANCE if there is a mutiny timer. It would be nice to see food last a bit longer - but I'm content at the moment with our massive change that happened.

This again goes back to me wanting the devs to release better patch notes. How are we to properly test these things? As it stands now we have to reverse engineer to properly test things which is a pain in the ass and very very time consuming. Most of this testing has to be done on private servers running the latest updates so we can accelerate building ships.
  39. 1 point
I'd take longer range on the resource box/food larder over lower payment any day. Gold/food are easy, stocking all the bins is the pain.
  40. 1 point
They should add a toggle for thick or light application. That way you can have a weathered look if you want or a fresh paint look. It wouldn't be that hard to implement. Would just mean doubling the models they have. I'd rather have that than more paint colors than I know what to do with.

Thank you very much! Im so happy to have the support from LOTUS and AthenaBella! Amazing bears and a wonderful relationship!

It might be nice to have the effective service area of a resource box be the entire island. It might also be nice to have crafting stations draw resources from it as well, so you don't necessarily have to keep stockpiles in each one or move them around constantly. Admittedly though there could be some circumstances where this might not be desirable, so maybe have it be a toggle option.

Just a reminder we are more than just players. We are testers. When changes are made we need to know the details of these changes so we can test them. If they fix a specific bug we need to know what that problem is and how to reproduce it if possible. Want to fix an issue tell us how to break it. We'll abuse the crap out of it in every way imaginable so it can be resolved. The way things are handled now we are left guessing and a lot of the time we cannot properly test changes made. We have to feel our way through it and hope for the best. These games are built on numbers and the more visible these numbers are the more closely we can watch them and call out issues. I see lots of good feedback, but it could be even better and more detailed if changes made were better documented and reported to the player/tester base.

after killing it multiple times on the same server, i believe that it respawns after about 2 hours *the stone despawning* and then maybe a small timer, note that some islands have multiple spawn points, for instance, O7 inside the castle area, and then inside the forest behind he power stone area.

I do not know how it works, but the system is unbalanced as of now. In my group I was second in Levels at 41. The update hit i received one free level with 52 discovery points. I have not leveled up since. I am the one building the base and farming 60% of the materials for everything and i dont ever see a level up. Now I am the lowest man in my group in regards to level. You should only gain XP from discovery and not be capping levels based on it. As it stand I could be doing all the work and farming everything and building as much as possible but get held back do to not sailing all over the place when a core feature of the game is base/ship building.
