Please fix Health, Food, Weight WHITE icons, they are like invisible on almost all Terrains. I Cant see them! I now know how colorblind people feel! You are now overburden text is the only way to know when to quit gathering, 'or you have to look up into the sky. So many times, I get over burden from just not be able to see the white icons! Make the icons baby blue, or use two/three different colors to offset the terrain. (Outer/inner) Also, They say its best to add patterns to colors, so colorblind people can see them. Also, the yellow wild texts showing levels matches trees colors, so sometimes so you even read them either! That text should be the white one. Anyway, I made an example, I dont think its the best colors to use for colorblind people, but anything is better than white! I used another color red to show max weight area Thanks for everything!

Finally frustrated.....This is not player verse environment. This is more like PVA player verses assholes. This is my rant and I don't care who I offend.Your shit is fked up plain and simple. You gave 3 weeks to land owners but people forced to lawless or the few that want to setup base camp only get 4 days fk off.....We cant go on Holidays? This isn't fair ....yup that's right I'm crying and I got a box of tissue beside me. Go get land it's PVE, sure why not. I got my land and it was stolen and overlapped and lost everything.......So then I Fkn rented land well guess what happen.....I got kicked cause I didn't farm enough....well WTF.....You call this PVE....It's not . Any time you let a human control any part of the game like this it isn't PVE so change it. Wait I got land again well guess what the fk happen this time......because I own 5 % of the island and the group there owned 95% I'm being told to leave as they want all the island so boats are blocked until I leave. This is your definition of PVE.....fk off... I go out and try to get more land in the freezing cold area so I can have my 3 weeks of god dam peace well guess what I can't because even in the winter area where only 3 to 5 players are online is all flagged and overlapped with stupid spawn boxes everywhere. So when i did try they just spawn in and say good luck. Most of the area wasnt buildable and the small area I found said 30% so if I rent and build they will take it anyway cause it's not PVE its more like PVA so change your fkn game. Remove the land grab in PVE , or change it to PVA cause right now people are toxic rude and are mostly assholes. Not all of you btw just most of you. Saw land, checked flag group had 585 flags and was still 4 days with spawn boxes and 30% tax. Fk it.....This is what you call PVE....This isn't even fkn close. If my shit can get removed by another player just because they feel like an asshole that day or they just like what I've built and want to steal it........THAT MEANS IT'S NOT FKN PVE . Where is the player verse environment in this situation? Bring on I'm a cry baby I don't give a shit,, I've explored and lost soooo much due to players in a so called PVE environment. Lvl 55 can go to lvl 57 so I been around and explored more than most of you. People are toxic plain and simple. Don't ask me to come rent on your land ....I m not your slave..

Vaenix, take a step back for a minute. He's not saying he wants a single player game. He likes positive interactions with people. What he doesn't like is the system as it is gives too much power to the few who prefer negative interactions in which they come out on top. Engaging in diplomacy and trade is great. All for it. But... how many times does one have to do that only to find those with ALL the power just turn around and screw them? Having taxes is fine, if there is an associated cost to owning the land for the owner him or herself. Currently, there is not. A company with 585 flags? Honestly that seems rather excessive. Keep in mind, they have literally no cost at all associated with holding all that land and imposing substantial taxes. Then, on top of that, they're going to demand specific amounts of farming? That makes a great PvP system. Absolutely. Grab the pitch forks and take the little royals to the guillotine. In PvE though, it simply means the rejects who can't hack it in PvP come and hold dominion over players who were looking for the positive interactions of PvE. That's the problem.

How about that red x that shows you on the map, but too bad you can't see it underneath all those claimed land bits. Sometimes I feel looking at the map is futile.

Don’t listen to the idiots. It is the devs job to allow placing locations according to their mechanics, not yours. Jesus Christ wildcard

When a player has option to rent to another player , then has the right to steal your stuff isn't PVE, not talking about player interaction. The renter has no power to remove his/her belongings and it's all based on a PVP interaction. So above how does this fall under PVE, please explain to me.

Just having a good idea or premise isn't enough. It's all about the execution. The current game systems in Atlas just aren't fun (for everyone, should be in an mmo) and the trend seems to be going from bad to worse.

UR doin it rong. Everything here is supposed to be yelled in all caps with excessive amounts of punctuation. Also, regardless of what you're reporting, you should be mad about it for some reason. We will expect adherence to accepted form in future posts. That is all. Carry on.

I agree that, in pve, we should have to worry about npcs destroying our stuff. But these tactics allow players to destroy my entire fleet while I am not even playing the game. I avoid pvp only because I want to be able to log off and sleep, spend time with family, work, run errands, etc. without constantly worrying about a video game. PVE in any game should allow for me to log off without the risk of losing everything I've built by anything except decay timers.

I was in the Polar region, Literally the only one on the server. I come to a a fairly large island. the only human structures I saw were claim flags which covered the island, a couple banks and with taxes set 30%. The claims were protected for 20 days before they could be challenged. Disgusted I left my ship anchored of my ship and bed returned to base. I have been up there a couple times never more than 3 player on the server (there are 4 islands) and The other main island is just is claimed it does have a couple minor structures but still 30% rate most of the places. Now even the most remote regions of the game are blocked from new players building, or even harvesting material with out a handicap. A couple players can render a region near unplayable with no more effort than visiting once a week. In PvE claims should require upkeep and the higher the taxes the higher the upkeep. Discourage people from claiming land and doing nothing with it. I am going to head over to the one lawless polar server so I can collect resources without taxes. I have not been to the other 29 polar regions but I doubt they are much different. Tundras are almost completely claimed, the rest of the biomes have been claimed for a while. We only have land because it was gifted/traded from other players, without even other players on, can't even negotiate with them. I don't mind active regions having claims, but when everything is claimed, foundation spammed and/or walled off and 5 or less players on the server, none responding to chat, this game does not look good for the long term.

Update: So, we went and grinded the material out to build a journeyman large shipyard, just to science the theory about the docks producing higher tier ship skeletons. First issue is something that has been brought up about the Journeyman large shipyard, you can't fit all of the mats needed to build it in the smithy. With the blueprint in the smithy, you are 100-ish wood short to complete the structure, so, that's a thing. We wanted to science the theory still, so instead of the Journeyman large yard, I swapped the BP out for a Journeyman Small Shipyard, made it, and placed it. The shipyard DID NOT produce a higher tier ship skeleton. Furthermore, I placed the yard in a bad spot just to test the theory, checked quickly, and picked up the yard so that we could place it properly in a few days. Picking up the yard returned me a common small shipyard. In conclusion, higher tier shipyards are not worth making at this point in the game. Perhaps making the smithy able to hold all required mats, plus having the shipyards produce higher tier skeletons (that could maybe be leveled up past 41?) would make the grind worthwhile.

Happened to me on first week, was pissed as well. Obviously you think the game only allows you to build where its ok how should you know the depth requirements if you never build one #logic

This game needs some kind of offline protection like it is in ARK. People don't play 24/7 and there is absolutely no way how to prevent destroying your ships while being offline. Ships are not dinos which you could hide in base behind 150 loaded turrets. We've just lost all our ships to a much smaller tribe just because we were offline. We will rebuild ships ofc and we will destroy them cuz we are much stronger than them but still. You are offline and you fleet can be destroyed by random Bob with flame arrows. Its annoying af. A lot of people will stop playing if there is no way how to protect your ships while being offline. Only those who are able to play during nights or 200+ companies with people from different time zones (but why should Americans play at EU servers, right?) will play and playerbase will go down. You solved that in ARK, solve it in Atlas. In ARK you at least have turrets...

@Jatheish and company, can we please have a 2x discovery weekend also?
  20. 2 points
Well, we're only three players. and we have claims ... Sloops, Brig and the Galleone is under construction ... we have Tames and kill Ghost Ships. I would say also on the official server you have a lot of fun as a small clan. It would only be great if all clans had the same effort
  21. 2 points
So I rent land build a base, Owner gets pissy one day and claims all my hard work, or they overlap my shit and steal it or becomes useless to everyone all caused by human interaction is your definition of PVE? And you think the bad reviews are because it's alpha? Think again.
  22. 2 points
This is a really dumb argument. There's a communication system built into the game that broadcasts to every player currently online. Expecting all of your entire player base to check your outside communications is unreasonable and at this point you're just making bad excuses for why they couldn't just throw in a note on the actual game too saying "btw rollback X hours," there's no mutual exclusivity here, they can still "update their forums and twitter and discord," too.
  23. 2 points
I kissed ass once, they seemed nice. Then I went to explore and they stole my stuff cause I don't farm for a few days and got another tenant in that won't leave the island and farm all day to meet the owners needs...,.The whole point of my rant is.....you can't call this PVE when a player can steal your shit.

Offline raiding: it's the bane of persistent PvP world games with player-owned structures, and it's especially annoying in Atlas, where anchored ships are completely at the mercy of one naked knucklehead with an explosive barrel. So, how about this... Once a ship drops anchor, players have the option to put their ship into Harbored mode. After 60 minutes, the Harbored ship goes into 'hardened mode' (like stations in EVE), and all damage is reduced by 90%. Hardened/harbored mode ends when the anchor is raised. To prevent abuse, harbored ship guns cannot be fired and beds do not work. You're effectively putting the ship into armored stasis while you're offline.
  27. 2 points
Correct. It's common sense that a game company would not allow placement of a shipyard in a location where releasing a constructed ship would cause the ship's destruction.
  28. 2 points
If you anchor your ship there should be no damage to it, sotd can fire as much as it wants it does no damage, that's how it should be. Now if someone mistakenly or forgot to put the anchor down and it was destroyed then I'd have no problem with that at all, that would be my and anyone else's fault. There should be no damage when anchored or ships that are currently in the process of being built. I can imagine how it must feel to have about 4 or 5 ships sitting outside only for the sotd to be pulled in and everything gone, that's not PVE that's PVP. If you go out and attack something and it kills the ship then I have no problem with that either as you've engaged in combat but not when you're minding your own business and everything is gone.

Its in o7 right meow, its fun, with 50 fire elementals, 2000 lions, and you won't even reacht the foothold of the cave because of that, enjoy! What a crapass piece of design, what are you supposed to do? Even in a big ass company nobody will take time to help you do this, its not building a brig/pvping or w/e Delay that, I was there, walked through it, nothing happened? are you kidding me?

Lvl | Points 52 24 53 47 54 71 55 94 56 118 57 141 58 164 59 188 60 211 Yesterday i sailed for discovery points... i understand this idea behind. But it is very boring after a while because every islands are full of wolfes, lions, cobras, snakes, crocodiles. I was killed yesterday and did a screenshot (cant upload now) you can see 5 Wolfes, 2 Lions, 1 Croc., 3 Cobras. And this directly on the beach. There is no point for "Discovery" it is run forrest run and search for the Points. The Islands needs lot less "wild animal" so you can "realy" discover and gatter some ressources you dont have on your Region. But 90% of the Islands you visit is a wild animal massacre I think it was a better idea to lower the "Discovery Points" for Max Level, that sould work backwards so maybe Every 10 Points = 1 Level. You need 500 Points für +50 levels, think this is enough. When i see how far i have to sail and how many hours for 1 more Level. That seems like boring. When the game adds more engrams and ressources and maybe more levels then 100...we have enough discovery points to visit left

Sorry to break it to you: Your shit ass common brigs and galleys are swimming toilet paper. You guys need to understand 1 Legendary/Mythic brig easily defeats 1v6 common brigs at the same time. You can farm 100 brigs a day you wont have the manpower to drive them and they will be 1 shotted by a volley of 5.5k large cannons while tickling double layered 8k walls and 10k planks, exactly thats 26k you have to go through to make 1 plank go away and dont forget the 20% x3 max velocity sails. The problem is not getting materials in this game or the costs of the planks the problem is to get all types of one single materials together plus mythos. And then the problem is protecting it, so all players not affiliated with the top 10 alliances right now, you will never make a ship like this because you will never be able to protect it. So yeah 95% of the ppl here have no clue how fucked up this game really is.
  32. 2 points
It's early access updates are going to break things and sometime introduce game breaking issues.. it's just the way things go We are here or test and have a bit of fun along the way. I don't think animal breeding was ever going to be a big thing in this game so it's prob low down on their list.

I gave up a couple of weeks ago, mainly due to the ship sinking bug but to be honest that was just the catalyst, everything about this game is just ill thought out, lazy and disorganised. It feels like a bunch of people sat down and said 'let's make a pirate mmo' and that was abouts the length and breadth of it, everything else was just thrown in with no overall plan or end goal, except money. One thing is for sure, any future games grapeshot are involved in will be met with a high degree of caution before i part with any money, there are better, more organised companies out there who understand that a quality product is what brings in cash, not EA shit like this.

This roll back was the first roll back on PVE server (not counting the 2-5mins ones). The reason behind it was when the patch dropped something was wrong with the "Removing inactive ships" part. What ended up happening was it was deleting active ships.. They do a server save before the restarts. Thats why on normal patches you are right where you were or close to it. They Tried to load the save but it was not working. so they had to load the next most recent which was about 45mins/1 hour roll back on MOST servers. Saddly some servers were a big more. But the alternative to the roll back was about 30% of all ships on the servers being deleted THe server came up after the patch and ships ere gone.. as soon as they relaized there was a problem the made postes on Discord and Twitter. IF you choose NOT to use one of these to see whats happening. Thats on you

LOL hardcore design. Wow talk about masturbatory fantasies. Some of us raided old-school eq. We pvp'ed in UO before Trammel, we beta tested shadowbane, darkfall, etc. This game? Doesn't even come close. It's a sophomoric mess. The reasons why people don't advance are due to shit bugs and even worse shit design.

Actually for news player it's not funny. i know and i try again and again, to say we need a Limitation claim of 2 or 3 max per compagny, Selfish player is the problem, a limite of claim is the anwser !

You'll always get one .... the same guy that won £150m on the Euromillions or $1.5 billion on the US Powerball... Claiming it's easy and telling everyone else to learn to pick numbers. The fact that one person can do it, doesn't mean everyone else can lol. When so many people have the same issue, it does deserve some attention.

and so what , now the remainder of points will be easier to get , its players like you that feel so hard done by as u have gotten your first 200 points the slow way ..so fucking what now u can get more points that will be further away easier that u would have at the currant 1 point per discovery does it really matter to u that new players that have just started will end up at the same point as u with less time instead of 2000 hrs to explore the entire may they do it it 1000 hrs , entitled players like you are what ruins game ... the 3x would have been great for new players to chach up and allow those that already had a couple of hundred point to pull ahead at a reasonable rate
  45. 1 point
I have our set to true already. The in game days are all in sync but not the players age
  46. 1 point
Ya, got to agree (although I have little experience with this). There are those people that just like to destroy stuff. There is nothing that will motivate them to stop except maybe it takes them too long. They can get zero loot out of it, that is not their motivation, it is just that they want to ruin you day and that is what makes their day. Only thing that would stop them is offline protection. The get gud, just isn't going to work.
