  1. Problem: New tames are consistently disappearing, usually following shutdown/loading the game, or crossing zone transitions. Repro: (80%) 1. Tame a new creature, or breed an existing creature and raise it to adulthood. 2. Pass through an area transition, or save/reload the game. Result: New tame(s) will be missing. Expected result: Arrive in new zone or reload the game successfully and the tame still exists. Notes: - This problem did not begin until last night/this morning, but the playthrough itself is roughly a week old. Tames obtained before this window have been so far unaffected. - Creatures lost so far in this way include: Bear (Raised from baby) - Vanished during area transition at sea. Bear (Raised from baby) - Vanished during area transition at sea. Passed through several area transitions as a juvenile without incident, but vanished after maturing. Crow (Tamed from wild) - Appears to have vanished at sea during save/reload or zone transition. Exact timing unclear Crow (Tamed from wild) - Was missing after reloading the game from save state while still on land. - The game has no mods installed and is mostly running vanilla server settings. (x2 gathering multiplier)
  2. Biomes for breeding are correct the temperature can be different due to height or different sides of the same island. You the breeder has a couple of ways to achieve success. You can stay in the mating biome and raise the babies which could require A lot of iceboxes and fires or grills. Also, you need to know you cannot breed them on a boat in the correct biome it will say "not desirable biome for mating". You have to be on land in the correct biome. I will take animals on a boat put them on land breed them then ship them back to temperate this is easier with giraffes elephants and rhinos cause the gestation is 6 hours or thereabouts. I know some people who set up bases in the correct biomes and breed and raise them there although this is more hands-on until the animal gets 10%. I breed in the correct biome ship them back to temperate and use a raised floor with campfires underneath. This I found is easiest for me doing it solo one fire is give or take 1-1.5 C degree change. I just set the fires to load them with at least 1k wood and this will last for 8 hours which is what rhinos elephants giraffes razortooth tourtugars require to get to 10%. I know some people use torches. I found in tropical and desert the temp swing from day to night is so great its hands-on till you get to 10%. You can do veggies eaters with berries though they spoil fast. A good rule for the survival of your babies which is overkill but works is one trough per baby. Meat eaters Razortooth lions tigers etc should have cooked meat this last about 13 hours with one trough per baby full. Once they get past the first day they eat a lot less. One trough per baby first night is a good formula for success. Egg incubation I only do in temperate with grills and you have to find the mix right now in my egg incubator I have 13 grills arranged in a special pattern which I use for razor tooth and tortugar eggs it a set and forget configuration that incubates the 4-hour eggs. Once you can load the baby with 6 slots of 100% food they will live till they eat off the trough some animals only need 5 slots but each type of animal is different. Also, the time that the food expires is different a lot of breeders grow potatoes cause these are the best for veggie eaters. You guys are lucky that we that have been doing it from day one showed the devs, in the beginning, the temperature affected the animal for the whole time period so the only way we did it, in the beginning, was by smoking crack rocks.
  3. Add Milk for feeding Baby Lions and Tigers during the maturing faze this will add to the whole ecosystem Pigs=Farming=Vegetables=Cow=Milk=lions/Tigers=Meet= Cooking plus it gives Cow more of a porpoise and more of a reason for Breeding Female Cows..

  6. So the option to rename a ship has been available since launch but still doesn't work. I'd like to be able to rename a ship, especially now that we can unclaim and reclaim them. I'd also like to rename because my buddy finished building our shipping Galleon and named it "Baby got Bass" (a pun from the "Baby got Back" song but with fish..) without first consulting me. I might accidentally drive this onto in the horrid terrain mapping of the Golden Age ruins in O7. LOL
  7. OK, first off i posted this in discord but it was first cut and then deleted. Kudos tho for recovering the pictures. Here i start with the conclusion, then with the facts. When a server wakes up from statis, it first spoiles all meat/food for the time in stasis, then spoiles the spoiled meat, then let the baby eat from the remaining food. I had this happen: I left them with 6 stacks for 50 raw meat, they had 3h45min to the first imprint, so less then 1h45m to go to become juvenile. I went to sleep for 6 hours. this was the server time about 10 min after logging in. The tigers therefore got killed when I woke up the server. Tow of the tigers (one 78 and the 79) left a bag (cache), here is the containing of one So i do some math here: A super young tiger eats on raw meat every 33 seconds, i allways calcuate with 30 seconds. So in 10 min 20 meat are consumed. In this 10 min one meat spoiles per stack. So 26 meat are consumed at max every 10 min. 300/ 26 ~ 11,5. So the meat was about to last nearly 2 hours. Tigers should have been fine, and would have been fine when the server hadnt gone into stasis. But waking up from stasis, the server does this: (here with meat, it is the same with veggies and berries, but bc of longer spoil time /stacksize, it doesnt matter to much there) It spoiles meat for 6 hours, so 36 meat per stack. then it spoiles the spoiled meat 8 times 6 stacks (48) spoiled. so it leaves 216-48 = 168 spoiled meat. Ofc the logic is not fully, but near enough and in the end it checks out. Then the server let the baby eat from the remaining food. 14 times 6 is food for about 42 minutes, so the baby died about half way. Here a picute showing the bags plus the FT they would have eaten from: Now the mods in discord think this is not valuable information for the QA team. Here i go overboard and make a suggestion with the bug report: How about doing the same method in 10 min increments (for babies, and FT), so in intervals of the shortes spoilt time. If it kills performance to much, just increase spoil time (in babies maybe), the crabs and vulture tamer will be fine
  8. B8 on EU PVE. Been farming for 8 hours straight today And ended up with 40/60 slots Filled in the feeding trough. I am Aware Stack sizes have been increased etc, but im Getting about 35 meat per elephant with a pick And full habdharvest skilled. Tigers And bears getting the Same Amount . I Used to Farm for 30 baby Tigers alone but now i can barely keep 5 alive.

Really guys no warning you just roll back M8 24 hours that is complete crap the other grids around us roll back only 1hr but you had to screw with M8 this is a complete joke I lost 3 baby bears to your roll back and you know your screwed up breeding system is so hard you know how much work that is. I wasted a whole day on that crap for you to flick a switch and think its ok.. Such crap.

Greetings I think we have all of the named seeds at our base in D6 at Fluffy Paradise island if your willing to make the trip I cant leave as I am watching baby animals :3 and my connection sucks anyways for sailing haha. Oops I apologise I just saw its NA PVE( I am EU), my bad I didn't see that party with my sleepy head... but good luck finding the seeds ur looking for And have a nice weekend

Same issue in NA PVE M8 I can build on top of stuff already there I had to remove some foundations baby's could not move due to being stuck in floor even though they did not show it same issue with Ark never fixed issue. Anyway now I cannot replace the floors I removed to build in the first place. Please fix ASAP!
  12. Allowing players to make themselves incredibly small in order to make themselves harder to hit is the most fucking retarded thing ever. It ruins the aesthetic of the game as you're pretty much forced to make a baby-sized character to play on an equal playing field with some of the PvP tryhards. It should have been fixed in ARK, too! It ruins the general look of the game because it looks like a midget battlefield as opposed to a pirate game. Please, consider adding some limitations to character height and body sliders!
  13. Hey all! Just wanted to take a moment to discuss the direction of Beastmastery and offer some suggestions. As I’m sure most of us realize, probably the most important factor in a game like this is staying power. It must have depth and feel continuously rewarding to play or else eventually people will burn out and leave. To shore-up these elements of the game I believe it will be critically important to focus on fleshing out each individual Skill Tree with variety, careful thought, and a level of nuance that rewards dedicated effort over simple dabbling. In light of that, I’d like to present some ideas for the ongoing Development of the Beastmastery Skill Tree and particularly looking towards Phase 4 of the roadmap when it will be overhauled most extensively. No question, what we currently have certainly covers all the initial bases, it creates (mostly) sensible progression tiers, it provides some extra perks in particular areas, and its Skill Point costs are pretty well balanced. I like to think the return is (perhaps over) adequate for the investment. That said, there is much room for growth and improvement. Here are my thoughts on how to make Beastmastery rewarding and fun for long-term players who are willing to invest the time and effort. I. When considering balance with non-Beast Tamers, I believe that having them sit around the effectiveness of Masterwork Tools and being surpassed only by Legendary and Mythical and perhaps specialized structures that can be manned by Crew Members like a Sawmill or Mineshaft seems reasonable to me. If the intent is to balance the game such that no one path is the ONLY optimal path, then tames shouldn’t be nerfed into the ground, but should compete with hand tools into the late game. II. Multiple capture and restraining aids to help with the domestication of various types of animals. Lassos, Muzzles, Corrals, Bird Cages, Cage Carts, and On-Ship and Off-Ship holding pens for transporting wilds would all help to make the process more interesting and improve our range of capabilities, which in turn makes the role of Beastmaster more robust and worthwhile. III. Rare colors for each of the creatures to add cosmetic value to certain entities spawned through the RNG system. IV. Creature Variants that only appear in certain biomes or under certain conditions (such as when the RNG system rolls a max-level for example). These variants could essentially be “copies” of the original, but with a different visual appearance, some stats tweaks, and maybe some new mechanics if you’re feeling generous. An example might be a Polar Variant of the Lion: Snow Leopard, which has a sneak mode that massively reduces enemy aggro radius and adds a pounce attack, or a Max Lvl Variant of the Chicken: Duck, which lays Eggs that provide a different Vitamin type, etc… V. Creature Variants and Traits that can only be acquired through multi-generational breeding. My suggestion would be an A, B, C, D, E, allele system tied to each creature. The RNG system will roll a random letter for each creature it spawns, and you can breed those with certain letters in certain positions to bring out new traits, possibly sub-species, rare cosmetic patterns or colors, or a stat boost. Basically, you would want to line-up five matching letters to bring out a hidden trait in that species, five A’s might bring out a hidden color, five C’s might bring out a new texture pattern, five E’s might bring out an entirely new sub-species, the only way to find out is to do it. And the best part is that Grapeshot can dynamically add new alleles to isolated populations or to the species globally as the game continues to develop. You could also add a Skill Tree that allows you to see what alleles are present up to a point, for example, Tier 1 lets you see one letter, Tier 2 lets you see three, and Tier 3 let’s you see five. If you really wanted to make in interesting, you could even add a sixth invisible allele that can never be seen, but if matched with the other five brings out the rarest and most powerful traits of that creature. Like a horse being born as a Unicorn or something… Basically this system would make Breeding a more fascinating undertaking that requires careful planning, time investment, and deduction to take to its ultimate limit. Being able to breed wolves into Wolf Hounds, or horses into Clydesdales, each with different statistics and abilities would add so much interest and staying power to this aspect of the game. VI. Cross-Breeding between compatible Max Lvl specimens. Example Max Lvl Tiger/Lion to produce a Liger. This would be an extremely high Tier Beastmastery skill that would produce superior off-spring that are more difficult to raise to maturity. VII. Various expensive perks that reward you for heavily investing in Beastmastery such as Primogeniture: the ability for offspring to rarely inherent a leveled stat rather than a base stat (but in exchange the stat is locked), or Thoroughbreds, which allows you to raise offspring with a certain number of level-ups immediately available rather than having to be gained through experience, or perhaps Dominion, which allows you to temporarily tame a wild creature instantly, Wild Whisper, which causes predators to ignore you unless you provoke them, etc… There are a hundred things you could do. VIII. Special Skill Trees, simple, 5-6, node skill trees exclusive to Crossbreeds, Variants, or Sub-Species, which become can be purchased with points obtained by reaching certain levelling milestones, maybe 45, 65, 85, etc… IX. Adjust Shieldhorn and Razortooth abilities to provide them with a reasonable means of surviving and sustaining populations next to the incredibly dangerous Golden Age Magifauna. It makes no sense for them to live there as it is, as they have no adaptations to counteract these vicious creatures and constructs. Perhaps some form of magic/projectile nullification barrier for Shieldhorns, and maybe a Silence effect for Razortooth roars plus a Magifauna Dmg Buff? X. Special Events: Migrations, Mating Seasons, Hibernation (for bears), Red Tide (for seahorses), etc… Special events that affect the behavior of animals, their spawn levels, their spawn locations, perhaps produce wild babies or having a special effect of some other kind, like hibernating bears actually levelling up without being tamed, or seahorses becoming tamable when they come to the surface for Red Tide… Things like that that make the wildlife feel more alive would be fantastic! XI. Breeding Overhaul: I think everyone will agree that considering all that’s happened over the development of both Ark and Atlas and all the feedback you’ve gotten from us players it’s time for some serious adjustments here. It’s simply not right to have a system in place within a video game that requires well-meaning people to dedicate unhealthy amounts of time or make changes to their real-life schedules to accommodate it. It’s supposed to fun, we shouldn’t be losing sleep over it, or losing jobs, or getting divorces just because we care enough about your game to actually dedicate the time you’re asking of us. Wildcard and Grapeshot bear part of the responsibility for every negative outcome that has resulted from this system, and I think it deserves some serious consideration. My suggestions are sweeping, but simple; allow mother animals to nurse their young and provide for all of their needs without exception for the duration of their maturation time. In exchange, the mother receives a debuff that weakens it and prevents it from being ridden until the baby is matured or until it is manually brought out of “nursing mode” via radial menu (which also returns the baby into player care). There is a cooldown to enter nursing mode, and to leave it also requires a short wind-up. Imprinting takes place over the first two hours of the baby’s life, maximum. There is no reason to ask any player to dedicate more time than that. These changes would make breeding accessible to everyone, and it would completely eliminate any requirements for unhealthy dedication of time. Those are my main thoughts on Breeding and Taming for now, I may come back with more later.   14. Breeding as of now is too time consuming. The most tedious part is of course having the baby be raised to juvenile so it can feed from the trough. I honestly do not mind the long time it takes for a baby to be raised to adult, but there must be a way so you don't have to stay on the baby's side for 3 hours.
  15. We breed alot, we had this happen 1 time, it was unclear what was the case there. What happens more often is that people dont set babys to passive, then they flee and end up out of range of feeding trough. Also check log if it was juvenille or baby that starved. What food was in FT, herbs?
  16. This is a glitch. Fill their inventory with food next time if you intend to log off. Also, it's not just taters that you can use for feed. Any of your grown crops will work with the exception of onions! Olives also work as a potato/wheat substitute. I fill about five troughs per baby with crops in addition to filling their inventory.
  17. I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue. We bred 2 baby bears yesterday and they were juvenile (10%<) and that lets them feed from trough. But both starved by morning when there was plenty of food.
  18. So I am new to the game in xbox. I wonder if any of you guys know about baby's how to get them. Advantage vs fountain of youth etc. All the info is welcome I haven't been available to find info on this. and if there a key banding or command to be available to see what mats you get from the source. That is what get people hooked on breeding a "perfect beast" they keep breeding only the best stated ones or include a new one if they find it was a better stat, along the way. until they have a tame that is "the best stats for level" that they can get.. and how they can boost the over all Level as well. and label them for the stats the have the best like, weight, stam, melee.. "that's my stam male over there, going to breed him with my weight female to see if I can get a baby with both the high stats" and often a mutation that will crank up level or stats along the way. lol people go all out, making folders to keep track of what has what stats. Na, I bred about 200+ bears in Atlas to come out with solid black, high health/stam ones for taking on larger chests and yeti and stuff on one server. Was fun but, frustrating trying to decide what ones I needed to cull all the time and still keep the line improving as I went lolol.. Horses as well.
  20. This has been a failing of ARK and Atlas alike. They don't want you to know the stats. But that's ridiculous, because you DO know the stats, if you are the one who tamed/raised the baby. You just don't know what you have when you are given something from somebody else, or a noob tames something in your Company, then immediately runs around adding levels, before recording the stats. What's so wrong with just showing us what the base stats are? It would actually incentivize more play. You may get an average bear from a noob taming it, or somebody giving it to you, and you see that it was one good stat, and that stat is better than what your breeding line has...so you now set about breeding to get that stat into your breeding line. But, as it is now, you likely don't know, so you don't mess with it. I enjoyed the private servers in ARK that had the spyscopes that allowed you to see those stats. I would suspect that they have them for this game now...for private servers.
  21. You could just breed them, similar level tames from the same company are likely of the same stock so a baby would give you the stats. If not you could use a known stat tame to compare a bred baby with. Both slow, but the best I can think of.
  22. I have bred two bears in the last two nights and fed them to juvenile age, and each time I filled the food trough with food (6k berries) and logged off leaving them to grow. Both times I have logged in 6 hours later and the juvenile bears have starved to death, and the troughs are empty. The trough is meant to make the food decay 4 times slower. Please look at the tame animals system in your game urgently. Breeding shouldn't be easy but also shouldn't so buggy as it wastes a significant amount of time, which turns gamers away. Maybe introduce a nanny like the S+ mod for Ark, or a baby/juvenile specific food trough or barn that can only be accessed at tier 3 breeding that raises them offline.

Fortitude the Ultimaten Stat doesnt only boost your resistance against Heat And cold, it also let you be resistant against your Most Natural instincts And sexual Cravings so You Need to respec if they implement Baby making Seerum:" Oh honey guess whos fortitude is only at 70 tonight" XD okay i stop now,this is funnier than it should be.
  24. As someone who actually Kissed Any meermaid existing in the Game there are a few Things that help in Case im Not enough anymore to still their Hunger for Young sailors. First of grappling hook sucks, just press X And turn in a 90 degree angle which prevents you from Moving. Second if you happen to be as unlucky as you said And closed the sails before your one night stand just holt "T" And whistle fully Open sails. For some it seems like Magic but the Crew actually Open the sails And you can flee. If you have done everything right good Job mate, you wont get scolded by Neptun 9 month later for impregnating his daughter And having Baby Fish Pirates.
  25. Well they don't get the myth bps and good gold from such high level treasure maps, I guess. Haha, nah... it's kinda true for sure, I think you saw my post in the thread about 2x. However, most of the players who can't breed because of no time, could've just spent those 4 terrible hours during baby phase, then did at least 2 imprints, instead of wasting time not being able to play further content and just playing the same content. Just suck it up once and get it done, even though all the other stuff about breeding being possible (healthy) or not is still there. Did that make sense? For new players, I offer to breed animals for them, they just gotta imprint. Often, the new players will then sit there and watch as the babies are born, then they just end up sitting around watching more and helping out. Then when they have a brand new spanking imprinted bear, they are ecstatic and say to me "thanks, that wasn't so bad, but I'm glad I don't really need to do it again". I really want 4x breeding now, damn you. edit: ohhhh you can actually just use two high lvl tamed bears, opposite sex for mate boost. That's what i did until a breeding event occurred haha
