  1. LINK TO REDDIT POST To start off I'm just gonna put out there I have over 4k+ hours in Ark. Some on official but most on Unofficial (Back and fourth a few times). I was with Ark since it was in Early access on steam and watched it develop with the content building all the way up to what it has now. Ark's player-base isn't what it used to be now and I'd like to think Atlas is on a similar path and I can only hope it differs in it's own way that makes it more enjoyable for many than Ark ever was. My MAIN issue with Ark, was that the developers didn't accommodate the different kinds of play that alot of their playerbase would have liked. Sure they had Primitive+, Extinction and it's regular official servers but they never appealed to the playerbase that wanted to pvp and wanted better gratification in a shorter time period. You couldn't play on official servers comfortably without really getting wiped a bunch of times. For people that have full-time jobs as myself, just can't spend 13+ hours like some of these other people however we enjoy the game and try it anyways till we get tired of rebuilding from 4am wipes. THOSE players all lose interest so quickly and it's sucha shame because the game was great. Imagine this, imagine working a 10 hour shift from work, it's been a long day. You wanna come home and enjoy some Atlas. However just the other night you were wiped and now you're spending the next few days again logging in to swinging at trees and rocks again to settle down again. I'm sorry but after a long day at work the last thing I want to do is spend more time on a game like it's a second job, I'm not sure about everyone else but it sucks. Yes getting wiped is part of the game, YOU SHOULD NOT PLAY THIS GAME without the mentality of "Hey I'm eventually going to have to rebuild sometimes, and multiple times but it's part of the game." Now before people use the "You just want everything handed to you" no that's not the case. I'm sure plenty of people are fine grinding as long as they're getting some gratification from the game rather than spending nearly the entire time just getting back to where you were just a few days/weeks ago. It definitely turns people away, and all of you know it does. How many people have been in a Tribe/Company in either of the games, been wiped and had a friend just lose interest because they're getting whelped multiple times in the same day/week. It happens it's not for everyone but hey those are still valuable players of the community that I think we need to accommodate. My opinion really. Make an official High rate server for us. Doesn't have to be crazy high but something that clearly requires LESS time needed for people who have responsibilities outside of the game. They also need a system that caps players on how many are in their company so you can play on a server where you're not going to get zerged by 15+ guys when you're just playing with your 3 buddies. Not everyone wants to join a huge company a lot of people enjoy their tight group of friends and mainly want to focus on that. If you've ever played on an Ark unofficial server, A LOT of the admins made rules and changes that accommodated these players which was great you could choose where you wanted to play, maybe you had time to spend on official maybe you didn't and needed unofficial. TL;DR-Get to the point. They need official servers that like unofficial have different settings than default settings that we have right now (Higher rate, Steam Workshop mods, Rules, Smaller map, Etc). Servers where we can mass vote for the type of steam workshop mods, rules, changes that differ from the regular servers we have now. I'd love to be part of an official server that has it's rates a bit higher and maybe a company cap on members. Where your small group of 5 wouldn't be severely out numbered to some of these massive groups that just completely eclipse you and all the work your small group has done. "Why not just play on an unofficial server then?" Unofficials get wiped, late updates, admins play favoritism, badmins, not enough donations server shuts down, etc. If you've ever played on a few for a while, you'll know they are far from a perfect fit. However if you were to calculate how many people are on unofficial servers right now and how many people have quit the game because of the issue I'm talking about, I'm sure that's more than plenty for another official server that's even at least half the size of the map we have now. "Why bother there aren't enough of those players that care to join a server like that." Yes, that's because they all quit. The player-base that ends up leaving you shouldn't be like "Those are players not fit for this game type", "They're weak", "Go play on a PvE". That's not the case and you should cherish every bit of the community that comes to play your game. Because if you LIKE ATLAS you WANT people to keep playing, you want to have a community to come play to and not a dead game with barely any population other than the zergs. These people matter and the Dev's need to focus on keeping those type of players interested in the game as well. I'm going to use an example of a good idea. If you've ever played Eve Online. You will know there are massive corporations and small corporations. Both prosper, both offer game-play for specific players and what they're interested in. In Atlas currently, there is no High Sec, everything is 0.0 space. If you think for a moment the larger companies aren't going to eclipse everything with time, you're crazy. 0.0 is savage and that is how Atlas is going to be. There needs to be something for the little guys who want nothing to do with 0.0 space but still enjoy the game and pvping on a small scale. Otherwise they're just going to quit and probably never come back. If for some reason I'm misinformed about something, or the devs have hinted at something. Feel free to point it out so I can correct myself. I don't know everything there is to know about the game. I'm just going off of what changes I've seen compared to Ark, and don't want the samething to happen to Atlas where most of the content to be found on the forums/reddit is negativity that turns people away from the game. EDIT: Something I feel people are missing here. If you're not having issue somehow with your small group. Fighting for space just to build, just being plain whelped yet, etc. Take a look at this map https://map.playatlas.com/. That is how much has been conquered in the span of less than 2 weeks. Fast forward this to half a year. Do you still think you won't be whelped yet? Do you think you'll still be able to find a place for just you and your small community of close friends? You'll eventually have to join a large company or quit overall. EDIT2: I'm not saying this is a priority in any sort of way. I understand the game was just released and they have an agenda. Bugs take priority and game breaking mechanics that's fine. All I'm saying is that the issue should be addressed, doesn't have to be right now and could be later as I'm sure those who quit would gladly come back to check on changes that better suit them as a player. Neither do I think my suggestion is perfect, I'm just sure there is some sort of answer for the issue that should address the large portion of players that quit or will quit the game.
  2. Companies.....yeah....let me throw this out there..... There are obviously good companies and bad companies.... Good companies want you to invest in their product, whether it be a game (this case) or something else, but they ALSO read/acknowledge/respond to customer (us in this case) feedback. They appreciate what you say, whether it's criticism or a heart felt compliment. They act on what you say, taking your feedback seriously to improve their product. Bad companies just want your cash. That's it. Just your cash. They change their product according to what THEY want, with little to no regards to what their customers actually want or suggest. Feedback of all kinds, good or bad, gets ignored 99% of the time. When they just so happen to get something right, which would be rare, they act with "See? We listen to our customers" .... So.... Which category does this company fall in? You decide....
  3. Same as everyone else, I'm not really having too much faith right now. But still.... building a little base, making ships and arming them, doing testruns with them, sail to freeport for crew. Next to some taming, wich is pretty obsolete now for the farmingpart and treasuremaps/sunken ones, also the caveruns (nekked with pepper up my pegleg) are too much fun not to do. Even playing solo it is doable (PvE here btw). Exploring islands, making friends (some foes along the way) that's what's counting for loads of players. The thing which most of us keep on trying and hoping what eventually , again with loads of hope, happens; Fixed bugs. All those bugs from "Season 1"(Still can't get used to this season thingy), after each wipe still not fixed. Want to build trust among players? Live up to your expectations. This is a pirategame ffs, not a zoo. We want way more action at sea. Bigger battles, more skills in the skilltree so we do not need those bp's anymore. We want to be a trader or an outlaw, blacksmith or perhaps farmer to build our own trade/kill routes. Bp's are getting way too much attention, this should be diverted into skillpoints and more gold to trade. Let us start out as 1 of those and dive into the trade you choose and expand knowledge. Farmhouses should be way more limited as well, 2 or 3 per company/island. Let us start out with a basespot on an island as a soloplayer. When we want to team up, let us buy an island and REALLY manage it. And pretty please, get rid off lawless. Oh, and 1 more thing... Add lasers.Those bugs are getting pretty annoying.
  4. Most of it on PVE like 80 % now So, I return to Atlas after a while, I was hoping that most of the stupid mistakes will be repaired after a 5 months of my brake from game. Guess what. They was not! First of all, a sailing simulation , it was very very nice to sail in game the filing of it was so nice ( I did not sail irl ), an now you broke it !!! I don’t know what happened and when, but when I sail, I haw a wired d-sinc it looks like my ship sailing on code but graphics of waves is covering my ship to half of the height of the mast, and fallowing with flaying ship whey above the water. Next – Why berries give vitamin c boost and berry tea give vitamin a boost ?? Can you make cooking system that is actually nice to interact, right now I don’t see any sens to use cooking for hunger and vitamins, only for buff, there is no sens in it, there is more meals with one vitamins combination then the other and if you want to make like 2 meals for all needs ( vit and hunger ) You can’’t or is very problematic to find ingredient. Making game easier is not making it better, all the hunger and vit effects was good idea but wrong implementation. You have to have drawbacks when it is a little survival game, for now there is no sens for vitamins system at all. Skills, just OMG Progression of some skill tree just don't make sens, why you have to unlock hand to hand combat for harvesting skill, make it on his own or strap it to cooking or building or even farming … Why Weaving is between tire of buildings, you don’t do it for buildings Why sword and pike is a separate skill ( the first level )?? Why improved steady aim required Explosives And we got 3 skills for better quality bows fallow by grenades !! Just allow a firearms to be learned after a bow skill like advanced steady aim In shipbuilding you can get sloop and small handling sail in one skill and afterword you can make a speed or weight sail, in bigger ships is sail first then ship Preservatives should come from cooking not from farming – and change the icon And the worst thing in skills One skill is + 10 % per level and on the end is 30 % other is like +10 +15 +25 and end result is +25 % Really Sextans skill don’t provide bonus you get 7200 sec of buff time from one skill and the next don’t do much of a difference. Sightseeing should give you boost to see a SotD from further away And islands Shoreline, there is a lot of very nice bays that can house more players, and allow them to create a city of some sorts ( if there is mechanics for it - claiming sucks -) but you can't sail in them because there or to shallow or at the entrance is a ridge preventing any ships to swim in, We need more shallow navigable waters, some can be cowered in mangrove, but with space to build homes and shipyards BPC …. Good idea with different minerals, from what I know it is that a gray BPC can get from lets say 0 to 10 % but a pink one can get from 0 to120 % Make it like its green its not less then gray It is for sure not all, but I just want say something, because I like this game a lot and I want it to be something more, but I know no one will care, Just do like you said guys, sit down and tackle basics and build more on that solid base, do not add another jesus feature which will be broken because of core gameplay mechanics. You can add more ships, and ships building materials and more ability customize ships, but don’t brake old ones. I like this game, I play it, and I enjoy it, with couple of my friends, and still think its a mess, in some parts. and yes for PvPvE server

This thread is going to be about suggestions and might hopefully inspire the devs to attempt make it a better game for everyone involved, as this is an early access title, I will not be discussing any problems that might be related to connectivety or lag, as this will most likely be buffed out in the future. But instead I am going to be focusing on the experience of a solo / small group player, and how that experience might be turned into something more positive. Typhoons The idea behind having weather on the sea is a nice one, it adds excitement for a rather dull experience otherwise, however what is the purpose of having typhoons quite literally spawn ontop of us? It might be fun the first time, the rush to try to avoid them, but after having gone through 2 of them it is completely just a chore and is not fun or scary. The main issue here I think boils down to the fact that you can quite clearly see that they are just spawning around you, no point during trying to sail did I look on the horizon and feel “Oh that's a typhoon, I need to avoid that” but it turned into a moment of “Oh ffs not this s--- again”. It doesn't make for exciting gameplay when it lasts for 5m+ and just causes you annoyance, I get that you might want to show off your fancy new weather system, but don't have them spawn on the players and FOLLOW them around, it would much more enjoyable if they were a static spawn and you could use them to try to evade whoever was following you, rather than being unlucky and have it spawn on you and follow you for a bit. The map Putting aside the land claiming, which I see no problems with per se, we have ended up with a system where you are actively punished as a solo / small group player by limiting the resources that spawn close to the poles, it is not reasonable to expect them to be as plentyfull as the regions close to the equator and I don't think anyone expects that, HOWEVER there is little to no point in even trying to live there at the moment. This in return basically removes the ability to live on half the map and forces people to fight over the few islands that have resources, and yes pirate game and all, fighting is a part of it and that makes sense for higher up resources (Think volcano and metal on ARK). But as the case here is that this isn't even a question about whether or not we need some kind of rare metal to move up from mid to lategame, this is a question about whether or not we can even survive. From a personal perspective, I understand that the cold regions are less friendly and should be treated as such, but needing coral or sap to be able to build fur gear is just taking the piss, so to be able to get the gear to survive, I am expected to spend about 6+ hours (Measured time to get from my isle to an island with fiber) to gather materials? As stated above, I spent 6 hours trying to find fiber to be able to just build the basic of tools for myself so that I could continue living, but even with that I ended up being unable to do so. So I respawned in the freeport, just so I could buy another raft and farm up materials and then spent another 4 hours on the sea to get to my home. So what can be done to fix this? For starters adding a source of fiber on the artic islands is needed, now take cotton as an example you get very little from them, but it is still a source, gathering fiber from items such as the trees for example would also work, as long as we have some kind of source for it, as personaly I don't see traveling for 4 and then another 2 to farm some, is an acceptable solution for this problem. The issue with fiber is not even the biggest problem, looking at furgear, something that is needed to be able to survive in the polar regions, it needs one of two things to be crafter A) Coral or B) Sap, neither of which we are able to get from our island or any within a 5 hour travel time, we are unable to even survive for an entire day because of the cold. That just needs to go, make furgear something one can build and gather on the artic islands on their own, there should not be any need to travel for that amount of time for something as simple as fur armour when there is an abundance of wolfs around. Making people able to survive on 50% of the map would mean that people could spread out and do different things, rather than all being forced down to a place where everyone else is, as a small group player I prefer to live in a place where it might be harder to live but give us the ability to specialize on a particular field whatever that might be. This isn't about making the entire world easy to live on, I don't think that anybody would want that, I don't even care if it takes me 5 times as long to get anywhere as it would had I lived on a tropical isle, that's not really the point I am trying to make here I am simply asking for the ability to survive. The overall singleplayer / small group experience. Now let's get on the main course so to speak, while I understand that people would be safer in groups of people, that only makes sense and it's a game about piracy where you would want groups of people fighting it out, and I already seen some “war” movie from two groups of people doing just that. However not everyone wants that, some of us just want to carve a nice place of our own in the world and travel around and occasionally need to fight for our stuff, and yes there is a PVE client available, but that might not fit everyone since just because you are a small gang, doesn't mean that you don't want to pvp. But with everyone being forced down towards the middle, it is hard to see how this would even be possible, how is one expected to get any kind of base or even a ship going if everyone is forced to the few islands where people are plentyful and join the same company just to avoid getting raided or murdered? This just means that the few people that want to stay out of the big group battles are put to the side. I have played many a games before this one, quite a few actually, take for example EVE which is rather obviously an inspiration with it's mega server. In EVE I was a miner, I spent my time gathering minerals on my own for the benefit of my wallet, I lived in a system where I was mostly on my own, I dealt with problems that might arise on my own or through diplomacy it wasn't exactly the most exciting life, but it was what I enjoyed out of the game not once did I feel the need to join a big corp or alliance to simply survive. But I digress, the main issue is the survivability for the small group, being able to survive on more than 50% of the map would mean that one could carve a place out and call it home, rather than every single day needing to login to discover that someone has raided your land. This does not make for interesting gameplay. You guys hosted the ARK servers, you should be more than aware of what happens on the official servers.. IF you weren't part of the BIG groups, you couldn't play because you simply got raided by the big group, which is why I gave up on the official servers rather quickly, as I am sure many people did. There are simply suggestions from a player who want this game to survive, it has the ability to become so much better and I hope it does, please don't let this die.
  6. Reducing importance of tame is stupid, and stupid is forcing players to play the way you want... Open world are amazing cuze players can act and fight and grow as they prefer and fight and live where and how they will want.... If i ll want to be a tame soldier that lives with animals or a pirate that lives on boat or even a land guy that loves to live on his lovely island you should let him do it... Ofc for the end game people will have to do certain things... And go in certain spots... But an open wolrd is an open world and remeber that not all the players play in huge gangs.... So everyone should have the possibility to live where they will want and play how they will like... Cuze it s the beauty of open world... Is not cs go or rainbown sixage... If u ll want to really let people spend more time on boats and sea, you just have to remove retarded npcs and let people be able to shoot and move sails open and close them automaticly without having to spend ages just to be able to have enough npc crew member setted up on a boat... Also reducing tames and lands is stupid cuze i thing that it s also a huge portion of the game that alot of people love... If u remove it u just will lose lots of players like me... I suggest also to give us more ways to fly like also letting us be able to tame leatherwing ofc working on the stamina of this animal so people cant cross maps just by flying... Let people choose the way they play... If u force people to do what u what u ll just lose more players...
  7. It's funny how mindofmadness post those screenshots but does not post how toxic his company twigs N berries were being. They landed on our island and we showed them where the very very few metal resources were being very nice. They then started to become toxic talking trash to us telling us they were going to take land and their was nothing we can do because it's a pve server. A company that we later gave land to and later became allies with told us twigs N berries told them they were going to move in on our company and take a lot of land. By far Twig N berries were the most toxic company to ever come to our Island since launch. They then tried to recruit people to take the island away from us. The most funny part was when they called us fake pirates. The Biz Enton Company has 20+ members. We on launch claimed like 95% of the island. We did this for one reason. 1. to give land to nice non toxic people. We don't want to be neighbors to toxic people. We want to build ships and have fun with the game. We have given 6 companies land on the island that are good nice people. We even help them out. We don't want drama is why we test people out. When people are spam claiming our land we tell them to stop or else. If they are nice people, we will give them land, if they are jerks right away and start talking trash, we grief them until they leave our island. We only want the north part of the island and the middle of the island. We have been given the west, south, and east to a bunch of companies who we can trust and are good people. We want good neighbors, not toxic ones. Iceduya Blackheart from dead man floating we are allies with can attest we are good people. We gave him gems to help him out because of the ghost ships patch sank their boat. We are nice people who will help out friends and allies but if you come to our island being toxic to our friends and allies we will sink your ship. Every ship we sank were people who were being toxic and griefing us. We will continue to give land to good people we can trust. Looks like mindofmadness created a new character to come to our island to grief us knowing we would sink his ship to frame us with screenshots. We can have multiple companies come to this post and back up our claims. We have even defended our allies we've given land to on the island from toxic people trying to destroy their stuff. Only way for these toxic people to go away is to sink their ships. We let people farm supplies on our island but we don't want you to claim land without our permission. We will also trade supplies with you. We've traded multiple times with companies. Mindofmadness we can still make peace if you want. We hate drama but will defend our company and our allies 24/7 if need be. We have sank peoples ships but that is only after giving them multiple warnings. We don't like doing it but feel like we have to in this broken system and with people being toxic hiding behind the PVE system.

You can spent lots of time figure out things. If you want to get the fast way to learn the game go on PvP Server and try to get into large companys with expirienced players. They will teach you tricks, bugs, exploits etc. You just need to be a trustable person and have fun playing with them. On PVE Server there are lots of players starting new or have not much expirience so it's most likely you will not find good answers there. But with some luck you may meet some expirienced guys like me who are testing new updates etc.

I don't want to be in a company that doesn't work together and communicate using voice chat. looking for a company that only plays pvp NA official server. you know...the real game. just give me some orders. il build all the ship decks and planks and sails put all the supplies on there. il get everything ready I just want to be with a player crew that talks and works together. npc crew hires on a ship is boring. they're ok for puckle defense but lets raid some claimable land or take over a whole lawless island. il make all the lawless claim towers. il give you all the gold from maps or flotsam w/e I just want to be part of a team that ENJOYS communicating with VOICE CHAT. tired of these antisocial players that are just solo 99% of the time.

Most of them I never agreed with because people would try to get excited about it or hype it up as being “wonderful” or some other ridiculous word. Either way the game is failing and has been. merging pve and pvp together could be good for the simple fact that gold could be worth something. Even mega companies has to waste personnel to grind out materials. Why not have the grinders(pve) players do that in the safety of their pve servers so that all pvp players can focus on pvp? Wow, what a concept. Pvp players can raid other pvp players to get “gold” so they can buy the good materials that the grinders(pve) make. Manufacturers(pve) and consumers(pvp). I know a lot of cry baby pvp people will whine and say they want to attack the pve people but suck it up, you don’t get to now and you won’t get to later lol. with this pve players wouldn’t have to worry about farming gold and pvp people wouldn’t have to waste time farming resources. They could just come up and with “gold” buy the 200% gally. You lose a ship in war? Go buy another one from the pve people. Pvp people don’t want to waste time taming or breeding? Also no problem, the pve people already did that and are willing to sell them. It’s beyond me how pvp people can be so arrogant lol. FACTIONS: this will definitely not solve the gold problem but will make for better pvp(sorry solo players) because it will eliminate the mega and solo players. You log in and make a character? You pick a faction regardless(doesn’t matter how many factions and that is not this discussion). You will pick a faction and that will always be your faction. The pvp battles would become very large scale and be a lot more entertaining than a fleet of gallys coming for a stone hut. Whatever faction comes out on top is the winner. I would apologize for being blunt but I am not sorry in any way, shape, of form. I have seen so many terrible ideas on this forum because people are trying to be “creative” or “fantasize”. This is the real world and we live in it. There is no creativity in this game. It’s a matter of players and success. Without either of these two this game will just stay a steaming pile and will continue to bleed players. That’s all there is to it. Try not to be creative in replies with creative ideas. Definitely not welcome. Rational replies with common sense would be helpful, because remember, pve people don’t want to play with pvp people so they will either leave or you give them incentive to do so.

PVP is dead because they changed significant PVP rules AND because we are waiting for the wipe... You see PVE players don't like wipes, because all their beauty will get wiped and they have to do it all over again - which just proofs that PVE has so limited content that you guys do not want to do it all over again... hence the "tames don't want a wipe" meme going on right now... PVPers get wiped all the time on a personal level, rebuilding is part of the game... a general wipe gives us the option to do it better next time... you know 'competition', not just playing with yourself with spectators... and again, you are here talking about giving PVE more content, because you want more to do without playing the full game... why are you complaining when you say that it is PVP that is dead...?!?!

  17. I said it a long time ago, that a game like this, needs to have a reputation system, with penalties for doing bad things. This is not easy to do, because you DO want people to be doing some bad things, but you don't want them to do a lot of really bad things. Let me explain. You do want people to raid, right? So just raiding, and taking a little bit of loot, would not really hurt your reputation too badly, so long as you do certain things. Doors/gates/hatches when destroyed, for instance, would not count as much to the negative direction of your reputation. Destroying walls and foundations would count much more to the negative in your reputation. So you would want to raid, but not wipe. Taking things counts against your reputation in a negative way, but this would only encourage you to only take things of high value. You would not be encouraged to popcorn people's resources. Doing so would really add up to a negative in your reputation. Killing passive tames would be really bad, but to make that fair, you would need to make it such that only food, and or specific items could be retained in the inventory of a passive tame. I think resources would be fine, and general items, but no gold, maps, or blueprints. No items made from blueprints, etc.. It should not allow you to put them to passive until those items are removed. In short, you use the reputation system, as devs, to steer gameplay in the direction you want it to go, and away from actions you do not want to see. Of course, you would also need some penalties for those actions, and you would need to have an individual's actions weigh on the company's reputation. It would take some serious trial and error to get it exploit proofed. I myself would even put in the TOS that exploiting the system is cause for getting wiped, and or banned. Let's face it...people know when they are exploiting. Sure, they whine and cry when caught and punished, like with the guillotine, but those guys knew what they were doing, and knew it was an exploit. Punishing exploiters keeps the community healthy and strong, because it gives the legit players more confidence in the game being fair. You would also need the war declaration to be able to have a waiver on the penalties for excess destruction. With the war declaration, you could wipe somebody with no hit to your reputation. I would like to see that have a way to seek a parlay. In other words, war has been declared...you know you can't defend against those who declared war, so you seek to pay them off.

  19. As I said in the other post, regular wiping is not going to do anything positive for the game long term. It will just make more people quit the minute things aren't going their way. 'ahh shoot well let's just come back next season'. When a game allows for progressions, and time investment you have alot more to lose in pvp so you defend harder and you play smarter. With games like rust you just grief and grief because anything can be rebuilt in a day, any items can be refarmed in a day. If you like rust play rust, this is not that. They could install a survival of the fittest style server for people wanting early game pvp constantly while allowing the rest of us to mature our companies and build our territory without the fear of wipe hanging over our heads every couple months. Wiping all the time in ea makes sense you need repeated testing of the games leveling progress and the trip from early to late game. But at release it makes little sense for a game that has a required time sink like breeding or ship leveling. If you want ocean pvp without commitment you have sea of thieves, if you want building and land pvp without commitment you have rust. If you want to commit time and energy to building a base and a company/tribe, bettering its tames and fighting the big fights you have Ark and Atlas. If you want regular wipes with accelerated rates then you should play unofficial.

Noone makes any suggestions.. you just want it to be less boring.. ok so sailing is boring.. exploring the map to find every archway, so you can get points moving from island to island, often against the wind, just to push your max level.. is kinda boring, but that's how it is. They change it to make it more interesting and for many of us, myself especially, will find it more tedious having to deal with what you called boring. But is now more interesting, and nutcutters point is well made, nearly all the spammers, the people building great walls of docks, spamming docks, building 50 ships, blocking and hogging the islands, all complaining about how easy/hard it is.. they've all quit. Or they log in every 5 days to maintain. Everyone in my company is the same.. many haven't even played for over a month now, some only played for a day then logged out. Crews all mutineed long ago and I'm still here.. sailing around, exploring. Feeding tames, maintaining ships. For an empty company essentially of people who find the game boring.. all quit. To complain about a myriad load of other games instead. The point is, sailing isn't boring.. it is.. if nothing happens, but alot does happen and people choose to not doing anything.. that's your fault for not making it interesting. Not the devs.. they've added enough, now they've added more and kiting is a pain to do, don't mind brigs or schooners have forward facing guns, but gallys hit hard.. and soon all you folks wanting a more interesting sailing experience, will have quit and moved on and I'll still be dealing with the interesting stuff they added to make your experience better. Running through a forest is boring.. sailing is boring, flying is boring.. but it's how you get from A to B in most games. What do you want? To make it more interesting? mermaids dragging you off your ship? ships of the damned trying to cut you up? Sharks trying to eat your face off.. there's wrecks to dive for, flotsam to collect.. how else would it be more interesting? Oh right.. you want instant teleports.. faster travel.. basically you want a "i win" button.. that's your answer to it's boring otherwise?   23. why are you guys killing the material trade market? you say you want more player interaction? or is that only for combat on PvP? you add things i have yet to hear anyone ask for but wont fix the bugs and other issues like optimization that pretty much everyone is screaming for ( the lawless zones are laggy AF by the way), here's an idea fix whats not working properly now THEN add things, same goes for the taming, why make it harder to tame large animals like elephants and giraffes? was that so ppl would look at farms more favorably to use the farms, which by the way should have the option to select what you want harvested ( like materials or consumables) as they stop when at a total weight, also as Black Beard said you should have limited the farms to 1 per company per island that would have the side effect of exploration (which you say you want and player interaction which you also say you want) side note, comparing this game to WoW? really? that's a bold claim, this is and will always be a re-skinned "ARK with ships" don't get me wrong this isn't a dig at the game, i get why you re-used and re-skinned assets from a you have already spent money on to develop but if you had built upon and improved that then this would and could have be so much better, minor example riding a bear at full sprint to only come to a abrupt halt due to a pebble? not being able to walk/run up 20-30 degree angle in some spot yet move 2 steps over and you can go up a 40 degree angle??

  25. Just before I go, I want show you what raised up last week in my island. It's just a single example what ppl do with a farmhouses and what servers can not handle. There: Now while my cannonballs are producing I wanna talk about bottles and loot. 43 - There are just no bottles around. In the beginning we were able to take a horse, ride around the island and gather couple treasure maps the level we want from bottles. Right now - we can not do that. Because there is just no bottles around. And yesterday there were no bottles. And the day before yesterday - there were no bottles. The whole week there were no bottles. And week ago - all the same. It's a big island and I keep wasting my time riding a horse along the shore. And I'm just saying about overall bottles. If I talk about high lvl ones (with pink aura) which I seek - it's just almost impossible to find one. Last time I was searching one I HAD TO MAKE 25 CIRCLES around 25 islands it took me half of day. And there is always risk the map will lead you to that high cliff you never climb with you tame and you also throw this away. So what's the point of making them THAT RARE? So we felt lucky if we find one while doing all other business around? Well it could work if there was any business around. And it's not. It's like I sailing 6 girds searching, facing severs laggs and long monstrous bases loadings and got just NOTHING for that! Or you just don't wanna all shores being covered by bottles with their chimes? Well there is a solution. Make them spawn way more often, and let them live for just 24 hours then despawn. I mean really guys. I've watched all series on youtube while sailing around (sailing process still that fascinating so we go alt+tab and watching youtube) searching bottles. We need them SPAWN MORE. 44 - Ship related loot issues. Another problem is here. Why did you make ship related loot THAT RARE? I mean I had a plan to go some maps, get better shipyard, then build and level my better ship, hunt some damned ship get better sails and other parts. Then go high lvl content. I've been hunting maps for a weeks now. I've done like 50+ high level maps and guess how many shipyard blueprints I've got? 0!!! Yesterday I've done my lvl20 map. And I just threw away all loot I've got. Because I don't need any mythic hatchet, cloth gloves, TINY shipyard with 123% sturdiness (with any sturdiness I don't care, I never plan to build and level my raft or dinghy). I kept gold but I have like 40k already in my chest on base and there is just nowhere to spend it. So there is a question. You want us to build and level ships and go high lvl content? Or not? Or you want us to watch youtube while bottles hunting for a half day, then watch youtube while saling half atlas FOR NOTHING? We do need MORE SHIPYARD BLUERINTS. Same with big sails. I don't know why I keep getting mortairs BPs, small and large decks, smal and large planks etc. I've got like 10 mythic planks and same with gunports blueprints already. I sunk like hundreds of damned ships. And it's just a single COMMON large sail I've got so far. I mean you might think it's exciting game process. But I dig my 50th treasure chest in a row, throw out all useless sh*t and feels that game yet mock me again. I'm not saying you need tho get all those stuff to me right now, but... In like 50 maps and 100 damned ships I should get at least something! ...you know, sometimes I feel guilty because I actually try to play sailing game. I try to face dangers, I try to do some sea battles. I could instead just go ashore, build my monstrous 1 000 000 pieces base, then do breeding bears and don't even step out to the ocean.
