  1. Most of it on PVE like 80 % now So, I return to Atlas after a while, I was hoping that most of the stupid mistakes will be repaired after a 5 months of my brake from game. Guess what. They was not! First of all, a sailing simulation , it was very very nice to sail in game the filing of it was so nice ( I did not sail irl ), an now you broke it !!! I don’t know what happened and when, but when I sail, I haw a wired d-sinc it looks like my ship sailing on code but graphics of waves is covering my ship to half of the height of the mast, and fallowing with flaying ship whey above the water. Next – Why berries give vitamin c boost and berry tea give vitamin a boost ?? Can you make cooking system that is actually nice to interact, right now I don’t see any sens to use cooking for hunger and vitamins, only for buff, there is no sens in it, there is more meals with one vitamins combination then the other and if you want to make like 2 meals for all needs ( vit and hunger ) You can’’t or is very problematic to find ingredient. Making game easier is not making it better, all the hunger and vit effects was good idea but wrong implementation. You have to have drawbacks when it is a little survival game, for now there is no sens for vitamins system at all. Skills, just OMG Progression of some skill tree just don't make sens, why you have to unlock hand to hand combat for harvesting skill, make it on his own or strap it to cooking or building or even farming … Why Weaving is between tire of buildings, you don’t do it for buildings Why sword and pike is a separate skill ( the first level )?? Why improved steady aim required Explosives And we got 3 skills for better quality bows fallow by grenades !! Just allow a firearms to be learned after a bow skill like advanced steady aim In shipbuilding you can get sloop and small handling sail in one skill and afterword you can make a speed or weight sail, in bigger ships is sail first then ship Preservatives should come from cooking not from farming – and change the icon And the worst thing in skills One skill is + 10 % per level and on the end is 30 % other is like +10 +15 +25 and end result is +25 % Really Sextans skill don’t provide bonus you get 7200 sec of buff time from one skill and the next don’t do much of a difference. Sightseeing should give you boost to see a SotD from further away And islands Shoreline, there is a lot of very nice bays that can house more players, and allow them to create a city of some sorts ( if there is mechanics for it - claiming sucks -) but you can't sail in them because there or to shallow or at the entrance is a ridge preventing any ships to swim in, We need more shallow navigable waters, some can be cowered in mangrove, but with space to build homes and shipyards BPC …. Good idea with different minerals, from what I know it is that a gray BPC can get from lets say 0 to 10 % but a pink one can get from 0 to120 % Make it like its green its not less then gray It is for sure not all, but I just want say something, because I like this game a lot and I want it to be something more, but I know no one will care, Just do like you said guys, sit down and tackle basics and build more on that solid base, do not add another jesus feature which will be broken because of core gameplay mechanics. You can add more ships, and ships building materials and more ability customize ships, but don’t brake old ones. I like this game, I play it, and I enjoy it, with couple of my friends, and still think its a mess, in some parts. and yes for PvPvE server
  2. I just want to point out some things i think are wrong. A skill "Improved Ballistic Studies" for 4 SP has in his description that it allows use of MYTHICAL Bows/Spears and next in line "Expert Ballistic Studies" for 10 SP allow Legendary to use. The same thing is going on to pistols - description suggests that a low level skill allow you to use more powerful weapons then a high level skill. Cooking is off balance imo - There is no logic to recipes. My biggest problem is not able to produce vitamin c focused meal from vitamin c specific ingredients. For instance why Berry tea gives vitamin A boost since berry give vit. C Another example Celery Soup - you put in vit A and D, as a result you get vit B and C not the most pressing issue i know but is so not intuitive. and last for now a bookshelf : it can't fit under a "one wall high" ceiling, but you can place "one wall high" ceiling on it afterwards, pre wipe it was fitting on ships no problem, so its a bug or working as intended.
  3. Its just an idea it's not perfect, i'm thinking out loud. At first I was like “1 claim for island” nice. But as I put more thinking in to it, its going to make situation even worse. Spawning in every node/map is not gona help ether. An idea is good but not for early stage of game. I think an pvp and pve is needed to have claim flags system, but it can’t be tied to how fast your internet is or did you take a vacation from work in wipe day. I think right now, that claim has to be owned not steal or grab. First introduced a Storage unit in Freeport for every player and company as a save-haven, should be limited number of slots/weight. Or maybe not in Freeport, but give as a City States (where no one can build but they have a storage unit) on other maps. It can be a tiny island like some freeports now, or a place on existing islands as a wall off territory, or already claim by Dev Company. Side note, get rid of the raft and ramshak sloop and introduce a long boat whit sail (row boat that can use a sail and a paddle, in size of a dingy, no ability to build on it, no NPC crew, no lvl, one sail, 2 ppl max. Claim should be a place to build not a place to exploit others. Next a progression towards a claim. TL;DR Obtaining and having claim should require time end effort. If everyone will be able to claim land as a server will go live it will be a mayhem for servers, but if it will take time to grab even a single spot, it can give more hope for others. A claim should be unlock whit a skill, and cost resources, and should be limited by a time e.g. 1 claim/24h/company. I know it will be abused but its a restriction, better some, then non. Claim land should have Stages, At first is unstable and its requires a constant upkeep. Like hard, a bazillion resource per hour for like 4 – 6 h ( it should stop spamming because its need an attention and if not, it will die. It just come to me, that I describe a breading mechanics… anyway I hope you get the point. Even if a 100 ppl create 100 company they probably wont be able to upkeep them all in that time frame, and if they can they should have it. And in this time frame the claim can be contested ( this will be a nice view, fighting and feeding flags in the same time ) And yes a flag itself has to get the resource not some magic box type of stuff. Also Flags should have an area of influence, in which no one can set up another flag. To stop overlapping. And if you want to set up another of yours it have to be overlap your previous flag in like 20 %. If is not it will be gone. In this case spaming flag will be unjustified. Some like a civilization mechanics. I was thinking to sell first claim as a permit for one island, but is a pirate mmo so permit may bye out of context here. I know there are a loop holes in my idea, but in my mind the main problem is that now and after a wipe a 100 man company whit high speed internet can easy claim whole atlas and make it its private. And about PVE I think it can be the same mechanics. P.S. It just came to me. For PVE Maybe if someone place stuff in a radius of your auto repair box it can be destroy, and ad to that some overlapping restriction, that your have overlap and someone else can’t. So it will work like claim.
