    They have separate teams for bugs VS content additions. As artists will mainly be working on the new content and the nicer aspects; they aren't hired or may not have the knowledge to fix the bugs reported. That's where the development team comes in to fix those. So seeing bugs fixed and new content is nice and shows utilization of all available resources :). Some bugs are difficult to replicate in a stage where you can find the error. Even if you can just see it happening. Each issue comes with its own complexities and they will be ensuring it doesn't have any nasty side effects in their fix as often happens in development.

    Hi devs. Just a quick one on the current state of raiding. Its too easy to raid anything at ground level atm. Using a bear/ horse with a cannon snapped to a cart it is possible to outrange npc puckles/ ballistas etc without any fear of being hit. Can you please have someone look at this and possibly decrease the range so that npc seated puckles/ ballistas etc on land have more range than the cannon carts. I can see why so many people leave the game after their "defended" base is easily raided. Id like raiding to be alot harder than ship to ship PVP. Players invest alot of time into defending their bases and tbh i can raid a whole island depending on the size quite easilly atm in the combat phase despite other players putting up towers and defences and being online to attempt to defend. Full disclosure i am from a big company but i would like to see smaller companies feel like they can still defend their only base on a fair playing field.

    So i'm quiting the game.. and i imagine a shit load more will be quiting soon after.. but i would like to share with the devs, if you all even read this, on why large amounts of people are quiting the game. Boats -- The new system is cool, but has serious draw backs... Draw back one - It pigeon holes you into making "stock" boats with high defense/attk.. so it throws out the creativity of the previous build.. maybe you wanted that? HUGE draw back #2 however is far more game breaking... Max defense boats completely invalidate static defenses or any kind of ground defense... it can take literally 50 mortars to kill a full defense suicide galley that crashes into your harbor weilding medium cannons and 3k cannon balls... it wil sink most of your boats before you can stop it. Ground pvp - Pure proof, that no dev ever has played this game.... Mythical and legandary armor sets with + to HP are absolutely game breaking.. (players with 500-800HP).. Groups like team casualty fully exploit this and are actively trying to kill your game with it... I've watched as a guy stood completely still in front of a PUCKLE TOWER... i repeat... TOWER.. not one or 2 puckles but like 10 at least... all firing into this guys face.. and he simply tanked it.. tossed some nades at the tower and completely invalidated it... people wearing mythical plate can take shots from high end carbines and it does maybe 30 damage at best.. and when you add in spec'ed med kits.. You get invincible dudes who can ignore your defenses, and spam global with their toxic rhetoric about how good at the game they are.... because obviously walking around with what is basically the equivalent of god mode on, means you have mad skillz... This kind of game play ensures that the moment a company gets wiped by a hoard of next to immortal players... 90% of the defenders get salty and quit the game....i mean i wont lie... even the FAIR ground pvp is bad in this game... But you add in 100 people with legendary /mythic gear, and you get players going "I'd rather play farmville..." If you focused on making the ground pvp balanced and FUN, then last stands would actually be fun and motivate people to just start a new base instead of uninstalling your game. Exploits and cheating -- This kind of crap isn't punished harshly enough..... Tons of people exploited using the level glitch to get to insane levels... and you nerfed them to 100... THAT IS A REWARD NOT A PUNISHMENT ... At no point should exploits be tolerated , each and every person who used that exploit should have been driven back to level 1.... There are still plenty of exploited boats being used with stacked cannons/sails . You made it where the gunports dont open... Yet can be manually opened by players....meaning people still use it.... I have literally lost count of how many aimbotters and flying bears/animals ive ran into.. killing people just to have them teleport back to you and drop grenades everywhere....You want examples? Just watch closely at literally ANY team casualty raid.... they dont even attempt to hide it.. they literally use BAILING BOTS on their boats... we boarded the suicide galleon that attacked our harbor, and it had no less then 8 bailing bots that were completely unresponsive to getting attacked, they just sat there bailing water in unison ..This should be your first priority... not adding new content, not balancing current crap game play mechanics... it should be 10000000% focused on getting rid of hacks.. because news flash gentlemen... NOTHING MAKES PLAYERS QUIT A GAME FASTER THEN HACKERS.... I mean why the hell spend --any-- amount of time playing a game like this when its over-run with cheaters and exploiters... No one cares that its early access... if anything, now is the perfect time to spend alot of time on getting rid of hackers and exploits... you are under the misconception that people are quiting your game over lack of content... That isn't the case... you could add 6000 hours of content to the game but if you allow hackers and exploits to continue to exist... No one gives a damn.. Its not worth playing.

    Lets make a few key pointers before the discussion for those who were not part of the 100+ players that were a part of killing the kraken. -have 54 ships mostly brigs with at least 5-7 galleons -high ship volume the closer you get to H8 will cause multiple storm spawns attempting to destroy your ship -once making it there with your armada (and you will need one) randoms may end up spawning the kraken which puts up a wall stopping outside ships from entering so you must all enter in spawn zone at same time. -You will need to deal with many attacks. one of which may one shot your brig. -in addition it takes place in a storm which will cause damage over time while fighting and also cause you personally to take damage unless spec'd correctly -you will need lot of resources in order to repair Looking over this list you can tell this is a vary costly monster to attempt to kill. It costs resources and time to build and prepare. After all that 54 ships and an overloaded server to take this beast down. What rewards did we get for this hard work (some more then other organizer i mean you). Well nothing..........if you died. you might consider that to be ok right. But out of those 54 ships how many do you think survived? 40? 30? 20? nope try 3....and out of the entire armada of 54 ships only the crew (which were still ALIVE) got any reward. The rest of the armada got wasted time spent, sunken ships, and sunken resources. Maybe it was meant to be a risk a gamble risk all this for a chance of an reward. The question i ask myself is why would I want to try it again? Next question since now we know for a fact that if you die you get nothing how likely is it for people to work as a team to take this monster down again? Personally I don't recommend even attempting if you want something back for your hard work.

    Ark had single-player from the outset and as I type this it has 57k players online. Single player has never held Ark back and there's no reason it will hold Atlas back. It hasn't stopped Ark's development in any way, shape or form, either.

    If you click on the ghost ship mission in your atlas map it will show you the ghost ships current position.

    The international standard for the presentation of latitude and longitude coordinates is Lat then Long, and has been since 1884. Further, numbers increase eastward of the meridian and southward of the equator. That's a lot of people who're already trained in reading maps and giving directions. Since this is a game that revolves around ocean navigation, perhaps we could have some of these real world sailing conventions in the game?

    Grats......you got a ....private server? Come build all the amazing things you can build in PvE. Except this time no one can see it hahahaha! I would agree you dont need any real buildings as a SP game, but by that lodgic you dont really need much if any for PvE mode as it is. I imagine a PvE player builds to show off what they can do. If this is true, then wtf would you do in SP mode? BTW, so glad devs are spending the resources to accommodate all the players who DONT want to play the MMORPG they are supposed to be developing. New ships......nah, I know most people playing this game want a SP mode first. Thats what this MMO needs. That will draw in lots more MMO players. Thats what all the good MMOs did, er.....wait..... This is fucked.

    I think Guy was pretty clear that he doesn't reproduce it consistently (neither do I, for the last 3 weeks since they applied some fixes). If YOU do, why don't YOU do what you just said and record it for us. You clearly are passionate enough to ask for a fix every few days. Are you passionate enough to help the devs fix things, or is that where you draw the line?

    You praise GNIHAR about staying on topic and then spend pretty much the rest of the post offtopic in some fantasy world where you are in a mega company and you can wipe everyone with a snap of your fingers. For some reason you think a cannon bear can just park infront of a base and shoot at it without a care in the world. Against a serious defender you have to grind away at the defenders for hours just to get the bear into position and when it finally gets there you need to secure the area around it so the defenders can't just kill the gunner. Its so much more complicated then the picture you are painting... I don't think you are in a mega company... And if you are you haven't participated in any serious raids.

    Are you talking about hacked steam accounts? Like stolen game keys? If so, then yes, they can not only ban that account in game but in steam as well. If you are talking about people buying additional accounts then no, they cannot. If you seriously think people are buying copies of the game to fluff their taxes, you have way too much time on your hands and your tinfoil hat is loose. I promise you this is a non issue lol. Those other game management software (blizzard, ubisoft, etc.) have that specifically in their TOS (blizzard because WOW is supscription), steam does not have that stipulation. Edit: Dude you are double posting to defend a completely ridiculous suggestion. Regardless of what someone else does with their money, if it is bought and paid for, it is NONE OF YOUR CONCERN. You are making no sense and honestly making a fool of yourself. You can throw yourself on the ground and hold your breath in a temper tantrum, but still does not make you right. You post is ridiculous and everyone tried nicely to explain why. Now you are just flaming like a troll.

    A "run" for salt. In the slowest frickin boat in the entire game. Without any guns. You could not wear a greater "KICK ME" sign tied to your boat than that. Use a schooner and outrun them! The sloop, in its current state, is an entirely and utterly useless piece of crap! The only thing it has going for it is the tiny aggro radius. You'd have to directly run into the center of a spawn to even be noticed by them, and then you'd still have to be in a coma not to realize the need to get out of there immediately. In other words: The SotD AI behavior is one of the very, VERY few things in this game that are absolutely fine and can stay the way they currently are. Also, ask yourself this: If you don't like losing your ship when you're driving a sloop, which of the other types of ships would you enjoy more being sunk? SotD must pose some sort of threat, even and possibly especially so if you decide not to defend yourself at all.

    They have already nerfed this game to the point that there is no challenge on land....and now you want to remove all obstacles on the sea. GTFOH....this is a survival game with nothing left to survive! If you think this game is difficult in its current state.....you should get gud or just quit. #bringbackthechallenge

    Another person saying this game will die soon because of this and that. I always like your kind. It seems to me that you’re best scenario is unofficial, yet you want to change official into it. That’s totally cool, but to demand from the devs to turn around one of their USP’s for the sake of ‘less boring’ is never going to happen. I’m not really sure what people are doing wrong because of the long travels. I don’t have to travel longer than 30 mins or something like that. Ofcourse I can be hours at sea when farming sotd or a treasure marathon, but that’s my own choice. I get a bit tired of the people constantly complaining about the boring and long hours when traveling at sea in a damn pirate game. The level cap is a bit stupid since people have been complaining about the skill points since day one. The argument or ‘try fighting a level 120’ is a bit stupid aswell, seems to me that you want the devs to change the game because of attributes you lack. The idea for tames was to make them not important at all, to make them invunerable during raids until a settlement falls is just plain stupid and can be abused badly in defense ways. During PvP you can lose tames yes, that’s normal in a damn PvP game. (Again, seems to me the devs need to change it for attributes you lack or simply cannot deliver). Since the introduction of the OP tames, our gold storage went not only through 1 roof, but to 10. Not to mention the fact we can build complete galleons easily within a day (when solo’ing, not even going to mention how fast in a group). So I’m not into stuff that is going to help that even more. As for the invincible ships when anchored, yes that could work out, but only if the invincible kicks in 30 seconds after the anchor has been dropped otherwise it will be abused badly.

    Are some people here autistic? The issue is Cannon bear outrange puckles and npc cannons. And some of you autistically reply:use flame swivels. why would people even use passive defenses if ai defenses are next to useless is the problem here. That is the main question here. Not to mention the fact that harbors are defenseless whe epic galley destroys 230 alloy walls in 1 salvo, while 400 health epic armord glide to mortar nests and use 2 grenades to ko mortar, totally ignoring meager pucke defenses. passive defnses should be tough to raid even if 0 people are defending actively, like in ark.

    omg seriously???? i like the singel player option but wtf... why do u keep introducing unwanted shit into this game instead of fixing the stuff thats broken or introduce something to make this feel like an actual pirate game!??... sail cosmetics? and they dont even work properly?? either fix the god damn sails before more ppl leave or make a statement clearly saying A. we dont know how to fix or B. we simply dont care about them and they are not getting fixed!! this is so annoying!... and then more useless tames like seriously… a sea horse poison squirtgun!!??? this isnt pokémon!!?? put them in Ark they are not wanted heere!!! this is supposed to be a pirate game have u ever seen anything pirate related where they sail around with a freaking zoo on their ships?? have u seen any pirates ride stupid seahorses!!!!… when i hear pirate i think epic naval battles(which we cant have cus ur servers is operating from a Amiga5000 and half the stuff on ships is bugged or u cant use it cus there is a stupid meta) epic sword and pistol fights! (again u cant have this cus its simply not worth it cus of lag and stupid tames) hook on to enemy ships and board it with the rope ladders and grappling hooks and brawl it out on the ships!! the winner gets prisoners and a new ship... thats piracy!!!! not riding around on stupid bears and horses with flamethrowers! jump around on stupid crap or sail around on a seahorse squirtgun get ur shit together cus this is getting old really fast and u cant afford to keep loosing players this game is dieing and with the releases coming in the next couple of months it will be the last nail in the coffin for this game if u dont start to do something

    The question and the poll are a bit to vague. Increase of the max-possible speed -> no Increase of the min-possible speed -> I am all for it. Decrease the no wind-time to be shorter. The reachable max-sail-speed with the correct setup is more than enough (especially now since we have cargo-racks). with 21 knots it takes u about 4 - 5 minutes to cross an entire server. On your way back (loaded) home even if you have to zic-zac, a speed of 14-15 knots is still very reachable and viable (crossing a server 7 - 10 minutes per server). So the max-sail-speed is not the problem - it's rather the lack of wind (low wind). We could talk about increasing the minimum sail-speed. But I am strongly against increasing the possible max-sail-speed, because that will just make raiding even more easy. The problems you mention are none for me and my company - they seem to be organisational issues of your big company. We don't have enemies more than 3 or 4 grids away we wan't to attack and the gathering is no problem. We can craft expensive mythical-bp without problem. It's a question of ships & weightmanagment, how you organise your time & company. Trading is an option as well. The fact you can't just roflstomp other ppl in only 3 till 4 hour that are more than 3 grids away is a good thing. It should be difficult to attack someone further away. And it gives the game actually some depth if you have to organise yourself for such an attack.

    I have a problem with the map, in game. I have 2 servers to host all our maps. One in North America, one in Europe. The database is hosted in NA but the players who play on the European servers need to switch to NA maps to see the map. BUT every time there is an Atlas update they lose the map. Both servers have the same ServerGrid.json If anyone have any idea about that issue?

    Not sure if this have been suggested before. My idea how to fix this annoying system, easy, without making us able to hook up grills with water pipes. Basic Cooking: New Crafting Recipe: "Boiled Water" Requires 1 Waterskin/Jar: Crafts 10 "Boling Water" Boling water counts as normal water when crafting. Stacks. Can't drink, Can't remove from crafting station. Can't craft with boling water. Heck maybe even add decay to the boiled water. PS: pretty easy fix, no? And fit the game theme, more then hooking up grills with water pipes.

    If a hundred billion people said one thing and one said the opposite who is right? Yep.. might does not make right. You know the truth, you just can't accept it. 1 person pretending to be 2 people or more, online in a game, where everyone is represented by 1 avatar.. 1 character. Is cheating. It always has been.. having extra cards, extra die, extra accounts.. has always, been cheating. The island rules system is designed so that companies, legitimately made up of single players can be settled and owned by these legitimate groups. Now you're suggesting, that rich people can come along, buy multiple accounts and bypass the rules? Why because they're rich? Doesn't work like that. A cheater is a cheat. These people should be perma banned on all their accounts. I'd actually suggest a different way of making companies. It could still be exploited, but it would make doing so much harder. Put a level minimum limit on people who can even join or form a company to say lv 55. Then they would have to get all of their alts to 55 in order to exploit the system.

    What about.. Yep. Obviously legit accounts are perfectly acceptable. I'm not talking about legit accounts. I'm talking about cheaters.. falsely promoting their companies with alts to bypass island points. Not lawsuits matey, Blizzard, ubisoft, ea.. wildcard.. they all remove your account depending on server type after a period of time. 10 days should be the applicable time period. I'm not suggesting they block an account, or even delete the players avatar.. but they should remove these exploiters from the game, since they are no longer active within it. As for me being a "young" player.. silly insults will get you nowhere and thanks for the compliment. Lets just say I've been married for 22 yrs. Give you some idea of how young I am. Is that a yes then?

    People use them to form alternative companies, which then settle the same islands as their mains. Thus producing taxes for themselves when they grind. ie The alts are the resource gatherers, the mains are the questers and hunters etc. Inactive accounts should be auto removed after 10 days imo. Same as buildings/tames. Companies that can no longer support their islands should then loose them.

    It's cheating and exploiting mate. Simple as that. If I'm playing on an Official Server.. and people are doing this, they are giving themselves an advantage that normally, other players cannot have. There's a reason it's 1 character per account. It is also bypassing the rules of settlement ownership, by simply falsely inflating your own companies, which exist purely of one person with multiple accounts. Not 50 or 100.. but for the most part 5-10 with 5 accounts each. Opens up the ability to take multiple islands that normally people cannot get access to. Why even bother having island point systems, if it's okay.. But thanks for admitting that you do this Udo. That's all I'm really interested in, not your way of twisting the game mechanics and rules to your own advantage. Family and Friends is completely seperate, so long as they are actually playing the game. So a Man, his Wife and 5 children, all on 7 computers, playing on a server is totally fine. Otherwise, not so much.
