Hello, I am fairly new to Atlas, my buddies and I started this high-seas adventure about a month ago. In that time we were having a blast and were under the impression that this game is having a bright future despite its current population crisis. When I have heard the news about the new lead designer I was all hyped up. I was waiting for the upcoming dev stream like crazy - after all, you have marketed this stream as if it was the Second Coming of Jesus. I was feeling the incoming "wind of change" to the point I have decided to participate in the forum thread collecting questions from the player base, in that thread it was the first time I realized how many issues this game has and I saw some real, constructive and important questions being asked there - for sure they will make it to Wednesday's Stream, after all the new lead designer would be reason enough to touch on the current state of the game. "THE Stream" finally happened and my naive hope for this project going "full speed ahead" died along with it. Seriously, last time I have seen such a question-dodging non-answer vague dev stream was in the early Elder Scrolls Online days and that nearly killed the game (but Zenimax Online Studios has a massive financial backing and tons of developers on payroll so they eventually recovered, I sincerely doubt you guys have such resources). You know that situation when you are working at a corporate office, and they force you to do some bullshit presentation meeting or you will be excluded from "Granola Fridays" for a month? So you come up with some bullshit pie-chart about "Vertical integration of best collaborative practices" or some other non-topic nobody cares about? This is what this dev stream was. I work at a software company and I know it is sometimes very hard to come up with a meaningful developer stream, but doing a pre-recorded dev stream with a new lead designer that announced big changes and then filling it with pie charts, "maybes" and "we are thinking about it" was honestly disrespectful towards your backers. Forum topic (you have marketed heavily) was filled with some genuine questions yet you have ignored the issues completely. From what I have gathered from the game chat, discords etc. people do not bother to log-in to the game as they have no idea if the servers will be wiped or not. I'm a new player, I have just started and I have no business to hope for a wipe as I have not experienced the game fully yet, but the "wipe or no wipe" question seems to be tearing whatever is left of your community apart. You announce "big changes" (altho we still have no idea what those changes will be as you have talked about them so vaguely Todd Howard would be proud) but refuse to specify what those changes will be and you have left all the possible, heavily requested, content information in a realm of speculation. You also announce Xbox cross-play yet you do not touch on the wipe issue The stream had over one thousand viewers, the chat was nothing else but a wall of people asking about any information regarding the wipe, yet you have ignored it completely with this pre-recorded nonsense and chose to answer questions about cat whiskers and color palettes - if I was a veteran player I would feel insulted. Do you guys have such high hopes for your Xbox launch you believe you can ignore the current players? Cause it sure looks like that and let me tell you - with that attitude whatever player base you will accumulate through the console launch won't last for long. After watching this stream I am on a crossroads, I am not sure if I want to continue playing a project with no vision and with such poor communication, at this point I think even Fallout 76 does a better job at managing their community and I never thought it was possible to be worse. It seems that your Galleon is sinking and all you have is medium planks.

i am pretty certain (and sad) that they will forget about us, they will say something stupid as "if you want solo play go single player" they fail to realise that some of us like to see people around and interact with them but in very reduced dosis (for different reasons) the submarine, and all the othe groupal activities with content gated behind them proves it, is at moments like that when i feel like going back to BDO now that they will introduce new ships, i dont want to because is not the same gameplay experience but if i have to i will. well thats pretty sad isnt it?? you wanting to downvote a post that is representatve of several atlas players because its not your gameplay style, how does it hurt you that solo players can also enjoy atlas?

I just read the Road Map discussion and All I want to Say and Ask .. Please don't forget about the Single Player that bought the game BECAUSE the game went SP. I love the building part and sailing with my crew all about the map and Do Not care for MO or co-op games. That is all .. Have Fun and Enjoy

OMG yes !!!!! A thousand yesses !!!! It would be amazing knowing someone from the "team" read my post that I (usually) try to craft with care so that no stone is left unturned and no detail that isn't clear. If it isn't MY post but one that I'm discussing and a thread that I'm following, I still would feel great knowing that the text we're so passionate about writing and the topic we're trying to address hasn't fallen on "deaf" eyes. Thank you for your communication here in this thread, and I'm looking forward to more!

Some people love building boats, some building towns with shops, some like taming, some like sailing and fighting. Deciding HOW people are going to play will have the devs playing this game by themselves. If the purpose is to have people be at sea, then you devs have done everything in your power to keep us ported: 1) You have cloudy skies that threaten rain with cyclones that do more overall ship damage than a full-on fleet fight. So, you PORT to avoid all that damage until you figure out whether 7 cyclones are going to literally follow you around a grid until you port. OR you PORT and twiddle your thumbs for the duration of a storm. 2) Living at sea requires us to carry enough ammo, supplies for repairs, and enough food and gigantic tables that the only size that can handle all that is the SLOWEST ship in the fleet (the Brig) or force everyone to build server-clogging galleons. 3) In order to have an awesome ship, you have to PORT, have a base to store the ingredients until it is complete and to build. To avoid spending the rest of your life with an axe and pick, you have to make tames to make that go faster so you can build your awesome ship to live on. Now you have tames that must be stored and protected and fed, and presto, you are landlocked and PORTED. Fast travel to feed is the only thing that saves the day, but you are naked, so whatever. 4) You made everything so heavy that "sailing" is more like watching dolphins passing you and laughing. You solved this with an awesome cargo box that you cannot even access unless you are PORTED. 5) Only you can repair your ship at sea, so if you are not keen to spend all your time after fights or storms or rocks making repairs to hundreds of single pieces, you must PORT. 6) If you lose your ship and everything you so lovingly built, you must have a place to rebuild. That requires a base that stores all duplicates of your goodies, blueprints, farming for cooking, clothes, weapons, etc.... again, you must PORT. 7) Scavenging wrecks overload boats, gold to pay crew overload a boat, supplies overload boats. So unless you are willing to dump all this (WTF), you spend all your time calculating how to keep the weight under 50% of the capacity to keep a decent knot. 8} Going around massive builds, avoiding squabbling neighbors, avoiding aggressive builds to block content, all double or triple your time on land and not in a good way. 9) Placing Treasure Maps in ridiculous locations, like inaccessible mountain tops, under rocks, squeezed ledges, in bases make it under a 50% shot that you can ever get access to it. And forget getting the good ones alone without a tame to help or drag some NPCs behind you getting stuck in everything from a bush to a turtle. It increases ported time. BONUS: The re-vamped island ownership did not work out as you planned, I think. Instead of a big company claiming big islands, they claimed all the little ones and they left the big ones free for folks that cannot even claim them. How about the large companies only being allowed to claim the large islands and leave the little ones to the little tribes? Thank you for addressing some of these issues, but taking away things that people like doing instead of limiting the things like over-active cyclones or weight and speed issue is a mistake. Make all things possible and all will come and play THEIR game. Totally get this is a work in progress, Beta and there are growing pains, just please remember: LAST and I think most important: NO one wants to spend ANY time playing and building and farming to have a wipe looming over them like a Black Plague. Most I have talked to say they will wait until these devs get their ship together, then come and play.

I have a weird itch on my brain, because when I was watching the video, I paused and rewind at the end of every sentence, multiple times, and I think of all the things I want to say about all the vagueness, about how these guys just don't want to be here, and I think about all the things I know about their history. They are hiding the uncomfortable truth that they don't have an actual plan. They just kinda want that xbox money it seems. Unfortunately, lots of what appears to be bile is quite accurate. I just hope that the devs can watch the stream again, rewinding at every sentence, reading the chat, analysing everything, while knowing that people who bother to type anything at all about ATLAS most likely do so because they enjoy what-is-the-start-of-what-could-be-a-game, want it to be even better and wish for it to succeed. - the video was titled roadmap - we need a roadmap because parts of the game are broken - the devs say they are busy working on xbox - xbox release comes before the roadmap - there is no details for a roadmap until after xbox - they've obviously been busy on xbox for months now - to go around in circles, we are at a 'crossroads' and therefore need a roadmap - all we have is xbox version which might mean more players, yes that's kinda exciting, in a short term stupid non nonsensical near sighted way, yay it was so exciting to see Jesse commenting on that in that reddit thread We had all of this talk about "a plan" to end the vagueness before the last wipe occurred. What has happened since? Superficial posts about mega updates that is actually just cats and err i cant remember now. I really hope our new lead designer has the best of luck. Please dont nerf stuff. For example - you say this is a gear based game, and you want to turn it into a skill based game. Why not have both? Why not a gear based game where skill is also involved, so that it is also a skill based game, yet also an incredibly deep gear based game, so deep to the point that people who have the best stuff make those who just started not want to play.

Ive been playing since Christmas. I put a lot of hopes on yesterdays Q&A. Those hopes disappeared long before the pre-recorded session did. There was a lot of if's and maybe's, but no real hard fact of what was going to happen. No new content till after Xbox goes live? That is a kick in the face to the long term players. The so called road map should have been happening right from the beginning. Stage one should have been in place from day one not 8 months later. Stage 2 was so hit and miss about what we might get. when new ships were mentioned all we really heard was "well we would like to add new ships but the are to much hard work". Not disputing that, but hasn't the ground work for them already been done with the existing ones? You know how the system works as you have 4 pretty poor ships already. The pie chart seemed as if it was put there to make it look like there was going to be some major changes. IF that is true they need to be happening now not after the launch of Xbox. The game needs new life. We thought we would get that with a new lead dev but all we are getting is more of the same. Mega update 3 has been ditched or become "Mega lets add Xbox and ignore the current players update". This is not what we want to hear at all.

Yep, they did not want to be there. Many moments that were disrespecting and even insulting to their player base. I was disgusted. So many cringe moments. No details. Just make xbox version. They don't play the game is the cause of the problem (sound familiar, guys? lol) The gally is sinking, they don't even play the game, and creating new variation of medium planks to fit a gally is resource intensive so they would like to not drown but maybe they have to. So sad to think that that nonsense was pre-recorded and the best they could do.

A short list with some fixes and maybe some new features who can be added to the game. Land- -The max health on characters should be limited at 300 and only with BP gear we should be able to cross 300 health.(more fair fights between players) -Fix pike range underwather (is huge and higher in comparison when is used on land) -The glider should loose altitude depending on the weight of the character.(More weight means much faster loosing altitude). -The timer for heal our self with a medkit should be increased. -To heal our self under the wather with a medkit shouldnt be a thing. -Increase mortar damage (it is no longer effective against galies with full resistence,no sense to use mortars against enamy ships even if is an 200% damage mortar. -Increase the 3rd person view when using mortars, we cant use the mortars properly when the mortar is placed somewhere in top of the pillar/cliff. -Increase Standard Carbine damage. -More gun depression for ballista. -More gun depression for Swivel. -Increase puckle resistence, 2 nades and the puckle is gone (Fix puckles behind the stairs) -We shouldnt be able to contest the flag when we are inside the submarine. -We should be allowed to move the flag location in our island once per week without loosing the island claim. -Less range for cannon on tames especially when the tames are on top of the hill/cliff. -Let as to able to pick the Swivel/Puckle/Ballista whenever we want and be able put it somewhere else. -Because no one is farming resources for BP walls/cellings/floors everyone prefers to spam more walls layers so will be nice if we can crafts on usual smithy with only 1 type of resources walls/cellings etc with 1/3/5/x resistence and off course the costs should be much higher but at least the walls spam will be much less or maybe BP with random resistence between 1 and 5 but this BP shouldnt ask for more types of resouces. SEA- - More speed for ships when backwards. -Fix Grapplinghook ships (We shouldnt be able to grap an enamy ship if our ship have less weight than enamy ship). -Let us to be able to take parts from enamy ship or from our ship who got sunk planks/sails/deck.etc (More reasons to sail and have sea fights). -The resistence on ships should be limited at 300. -Let us to decide if our/any ally company can see our ships position on the sea (this is for sea fights). -Let us to be able to reset our points for ships same like our character. -We need large doors who can be used for Harbour entrance,in particular for Galleon. -The cannons placed on ships should do less damage to structures on land. -Will be nice notifications when an ally join in the grid so will not be neccesary everytime to asking in ally chat who joined. I can explain even better why i'm asking this changes if someone is really interested. Will be nice to see your opinions about this list @Dollie and @Jatheish and off course the opinions from our community. ( 2700 hours in game only on PVP official if someone is curious)

Fun fact, the guys most harmed by the alliance limit are the same guys that wanted it...the small companies... hallo foot, meet bullet...
  13. 1 point
Yeah, they will continue to optimize. That is still a very important issue, however slightly off topic. What I'm trying to talk about however is, by the games design, small companies have no place in the game which leads to an extremely simple process. Your trying to say alliances is the way in which small companies can exists. Unfortunately however the devs made the alliance limit. 4 companies. A company limit. If they made it a player limit, sure small companies could ally and have a place to stay. This 4 company alliance limit, means that unless your at max company limit, then you shouldn't be allied with as long as there is a bigger company than yours willing to ally, youd be stronger allying with the bigger company. Which if that meta doesnt change in some way Bigger=better and easier to keep ships floating. Then the entire pvp system is doomed. Eventually everyone will be one company or allied in some way, and at that point pvp has become pve, and has failed. Make some of the changes I stated above, and you can log out, plus most small companies would be not worth attacking and essentially under the radar of large companies. Plus with those changes to war. If a company much bigger than yours puts the flag on your island, you could choose to not fight, and move everything you care about off the island. Then the big company would take the island easily, and there wouldn't be much of a war, but it cost the large company 25k gold for the token, so they arent likely to harass small companies. However if a flag is dropped on your island and you think you can win. Then you get your island ready, stay and fight for it. This leads to more, war by choice and less, ohh no someones attacking us today, which faces you with bad choices of, drop what I'm doing right this minute to try and save face, ignore it and probably have your company disband, or ignore it and quit the game. I'm trying to help the devs avoid players having to make that choice, because it's exactly that choice that has killed the game currently. Instead you should try and have online battles that both parties are ready for, and anything out on the sea should be fair game for pvp.

Just my 2 cents into the topic to say I’d actually like to see less dependency on tames, more pirate, less dog and pony show...! i get domestication for the farmers, but not the giant crabs and turtles...

It seems there has been some confusion on your side as to what kind of game this is, so please allow me to provide some clarity: This is an MMO. That stands for MASSIVELY MULTIPLAYER ONLINE. None of these words suggests in any way, shape or form that there even was a single player mode, and it was a totally boneheaded move by the devs to even create it. And now that you entered the game on false premises, you demand things stay in the tragically awful state they're in right now? I can do that, too. Please, devs, don't forget those of us who like that the game is no fun. Please keep it being no fun in the future. I don't care that the original approach was to make it fun, i like the current state better, where everyone is fighting about trivialities. When i bought the game it was an unbearable atrocity. That's what i paid for and i wanna keep it that way. Please don't waste any funding to have people working on it to make it any less unfun. Thank you.

1 ) Notifications players join : need to remove that . This functionnality break game because we are spying all times and everywhere in game with many website like battlemetric ( https://www.battlemetrics.com/servers/atlas ) . After all players on official server must rename their steam name like "123" .... And remove that will increase a few your performance at connection server ... 2 ) Gliders : this feature must be rework, i think all players know why now, stop at the air bombers fleets !!! 3 ) Setting Cannons, swivel, ... : adding an option for targetting pathfinders, tamed animals and wild aggressive animals ( like cobra, lions, wolf, ...)

I'm not old, just nearly 60. I know what games I like and what games I don't (Ive been playing computer games since 1981, which is longer than many gamers have been alive). I know when a game is going to bore me or when its going to hold my attention. I also know how to use both the forums and discord (and possibly twitter when I think about it). I also am much aware that I don't read 90% of what's on discord because its very hard to follow a particular topic as so many people ask so many things that are all tangled up and no sense to most of them. Forums however, allow me to read things at my leisure. To think about what is said and respond if I want to. Discord and Twitter may be the fad of the younger generation, but it will be replaced at some point. Forums have already been around a long time, from even before MMO's existed, well actually before there was any real graphics. Point is, more information can be given, in a single place in a forum than it can in discord chat. Its all collected in one place and easy to access. Goodness I have no idea what Ive missed on discord overnight, and I have no desire to spend all day trying to find what I last read. If I want to read something in a forum, its relatively easy to find a topic I'm interested in, and ignore the ones I'm not. My second issue. I look at terms like "livestream" and wonder how can something that is pre-recorded be called "live"? To be live means something is done at that time. If it was live then questions asked in the chat can actually be answered in the "livestream". There is no way the wall of text of people asking about a wipe would have been missed. It could have therefore been answered there - in the "livestream" for everyone to hear at same time. Don't call something "live" if you know its recorded. Have the decency to do a proper livestream. And yes, we here in the forums DO like to know you are keeping up with what we write. We know some of what is written here is read, as its already been acknowledged in the "livestream", that some lengthy article have been written on the forums that have been helpful. We however, DO NOT, need an essay for a response when a simple acknowledgement will suffice. AND YES it would be very nice to see a LOT more activity from the company on the forums.

We haven't created any in-game channels specific to Companies, this isn't possible. You may be thinking of Company Discords, of which I am in about 30. These are created and used by Companies/Alliances for their own communication with each other and myself and Jat are invited as guests. Some create a #dev-chat channel or something of that ilk. As with all other channels, we read everything and respond less so (as it's just impossible to respond to everything). Players there are not privy to VIP info or "special treatment" customer service. If they report something on their Company Discords or require Customer Service, they're directed to the ticketing system (as with the Official ATLAS Discord). If they report bugs, they're directed to official ATLAS Discord #bug-reporting channel or the forums. If they offer lengthy feedback, they're urged to post it on the forums where we have more eyes on it. Worthy to note that these Company Discords most frequently give us info about exploits in the game that would be more critical if shared publicly. The forums is the first place we go for our most "official/important" communication. Think of it in tiers. I agree that important info should go out on all platforms, and, in that respect, the forums are the hub for that. Tier 1 Communication goes in Captain's Logs and Announcements here on the forums and on Steam. A link to the post on these forums is shared in the Official ATLAS Discord's Announcement channel and on the ATLAS Twitter. This is the best avenue for that. Casual chit chat occurs on the Discord and scrolls past quickly. Some of the best feedback can be found on the forums but it isn't limited to here, no. Companies/Players frequently make us 5-10 page Google docs and send it to us via DM on Discord. Reddit posts can offer valuable feedback. Observing players chat and debate with each other on the Official Discord is also useful. If lengthy feedback posts are made on Discord, our Mods are directed to link them to the forums and nudge them to post it here so it doesn't get lost. All of it is valuable to us. All of it is read. The Stream was limited in time and, it seems, some things that were said slipped under the radar for many players. We recognise that some things we assumed were expressed clearly, weren't. Yes, everything conveyed in the Dev Livestream (or not conveyed as well as we'd hoped in some instances) along with what was shared in my (rare) voice chat with players was summarised and posted here (as linked in my post above). We recognise that the format of the Livestream didn't translate as we'd hoped and we're working on improving that in future Streams. I think there's a bit of a disconnect in regards to assumptions on what is shared on Discord or Twitter, it seems there's a belief that some important info is shared there exclusively. Tell me how I can remedy that perception, I'm listening. Admittedly I have been of the belief that responding to a lengthy and well thought out post here with a "I hear you, we're looking into it" may be perceived as trite in context whereas I'm more likely to respond as such on Discord (or with a thumbs up emoji if I'm really pressed for time) because Discord is more conducive to a few words in a scrolling chat according to my own perception. Would you guys prefer brief acknowledgement of something being read even if we have nothing substantial to share on it yet? Will forum users welcome a "gotcha" or a like as a response or find it insulting? I'm open to adapting.

Let me be clear also. I have no issue if spontaneous communications arise on other channels but A) My anger is not over just this incident alone. The mere fact GrapeCard saw fit to create an ingame channel to communicate directly with certain companies, giving them direct access to developers and moderators while leaving the rest of us as second class citizens is both a grossly prejudicial and unfair way to proceed with not only game development but community relationships as well. How can you all not see that such a move completely undermines your standing as impartial arbiters of the game in the eyes of anyone not part of this special members only channel? To do such a thing is grossly unprofessional and I personally find it disgusting. B) This is not the first time anyone at GrapeCard has favored one channel of communication over another, giving out key information and leaving the forums in the dark. In just 9 short months, this company has developed the habit and the reputation for picking and choosing how and where to disclose important information that should go out on ALL channels of communication, and if it does not, should certainly go on it's own official forums before anywhere else. I am sick and tired of feeling like the red headed step child to discord, twitter and dog knows what else when the people here are the ones putting their time and energy into writing not 240 characters, not jibber jabbering on voice, but whole pages of valuable feedback that devs can actually read at their leisure and go back and reference later. Go on, try to tell me that the feedback in other channels is as useful as what is provided here. I could use a good laugh right now. That being the case, your first obligation to your playerbase should be to make sure the forums are at the very worst, at least as well informed as anywhere else. I shouldn't even have to explain or argue for this, it should be standard practice. C) If you find yourself needing to have information conversations in other channels with parties to actually answer burning questions the community has just after doing a live stream, then that should speak volumes to you about the quality and usefulness of the livestream you produced and provoke some self examination as a company and professionals. Also anything conveyed there should be promptly summarized and posted here for the communities benefit. This running around picking and choosing which channel or platform gets what information when and not providing uniform and consistent messaging across ALL platforms is bush league. Cut it out. Failing to do so is part of what has made your game and your company the laughingstock of the industry right now. If that sounds harsh it is because sometimes the truth hurts. My boss has a saying: Any excuse will do. The first step to turning Atlas around as a game is for the development team to accept responsibility for where they are and be accountable. The way the livestream and this issue have been handled do not convey the impression of people who are being accountable, but rather people continuing to do what they have always done, the same way they've always done it. All that will get you is more of the same.

honestly, i pretty much give up on this game's dev team for the foreseeable future.. so many great suggestions and very well thought out questions were offered to them... plenty of time to make a decent presentation... and what did they do with the opportunity to redeem themselves after they finally made a good move and announced a new lead designer to the last 0.01% of their actual player base that remained loyal to the cause ... a fuckin garbage graphic with a couple bullet points... calling it a fuckin "road map"... and they didn't answer anything of substance except notify the community that the game is STILL substantially going NOWHERE and will be going nowhere, for a long time... that stream was a complete and utter pile of steaming bullshit.. i literally puked in my mouth watching it. the final nail in the coffin in my mind. i tried so hard to keep the faith/hope/denial going... im fuckin done. Good bye atlas, ill probably pick you up in a year or if xbox launch is crossplay... but as i see it right now, fuck that. Hello star citizen. no matter how long it takes, at least they're using their communities support, efforts and time correctly instead of spitting in our faces like grapeshot is doing.

I didn't watch the stream because I knew it was going to be all smoke and mirrors. Based on what I've read about the "live" stream and what I've seen in the last few months, this ship is sinking and we they don't have enough mats to repair it. They are just going to try to eek a few more dollars from the console sales and then scuttle this mofo to the bottom of the ocean.
  27. 1 point
I would compare this more to No Man's Sky which managed to recover mostly by admitting what is wrong, facing the criticism and being honest. For a small indie dev with a small playerbase honesty goes a long way (of course it took them a while, to be honest. But hey - we all make mistakes). I have a weird itch on my brain, that all this vagueness of their stream is hiding some sort of uncomfortable truth about their actual plans. All I know is that if they plan to carry on like this they can just trash the entire dev-stream idea as they will just continue separating themselves from their playerbase.
  28. 1 point
That is exactly why I did not even bother! I did not watch the stream but was discussing it with a friend who did. As soon as he mentioned PVP, I knew this game's recovery will be a lot more unstable. Everyone (PVPers) know that balancing PVP is nearly impossible. I know we should not compare WoW to Atlas but look at how long it took WoW to get to where they are right now. Most can still argue that PVP is even broken now. I can tell you that melee combat with locking mechanic is absolutely useless in my opinion. Anyways, if this continues, I will be looking for a different game to play...

OR ExperiencePointsforLevel[x]=total of all player experience Example: LevelExperienceRampOverrides=(ExperiencePointsForLevel[0]=5,ExperiencePointsForLevel[1]=20,ExperiencePointsForLevel[2]=40,ExperiencePointsForLevel[3]=70, The second value in each part of the formula is NOT the max experience points needed for a level, but the max TOTAL experience a player character would need for a particular level. If you wish to change the amount of levels a creature can gain after it becomes tamed, but leave the player levels default then the code for the entire first chart will be: LevelExperienceRampOverrides=() When the player level chart is edited the value of the below must be increased to at least the final value of the total experience points at max level. OverrideMaxExperiencePointsPlayer=z Note: Value z above can be higher than the total experience points at max level. Syntax for Gained Creature Levels after Tame: LevelExperienceRampOverrides=(ExperiencePointsForLevel[0]=y,ExperiencePointsForLevel[1]=y+x,ExperiencePointsForLevel[1]=y+x+w,..... In this case the y value = first amount of xp needed for a tamed creature to gain its first post-wild level. Note: The last level in the creature chart needs to be the max additional level a creature can gain after it is tamed. This value is configured with the formula: Max Wild Level of Creatures * 1.5 + 30 If a creature is tamed "perfectly" the total levels it will gain from being tamed is: Level before tame * 1.5 The additional 30 levels is code that allowed all tamed creatures no matter the level to gain at least 30 levels of experience. This change happened in v9.2 If the creature chart does not contain the total additional level that a tamed creature can gain then said creature won't be able to gain experience at all! When the creature chart for max levels gained after tame is changed the below value needs to be updated to at least the final value of the total experience points at max gained creature level. OverrideMaxExperiencePointsDino=a Note: Value a above can be higher than the total additional experience points needed for max gained creature level. Link to tool that will help with custom level charts: http://arksurvivalevolved.gamewalkthrough-universe.com/dedicatedservers/customizationtools/customlevelstool/Default.aspx Note: The player level chart will set the max level of a player character on its own. The max wild creature level is actually set by difficulty value. Example below Max Player Level 129 and all tames from wild creatures level 120 and below will be able to level properly. LevelExperienceRampOverrides=(ExperiencePointsForLevel[0]=5,ExperiencePointsForLevel[1]=20,ExperiencePointsForLevel[2]=40,ExperiencePointsForLevel[3]=70,ExperiencePointsForLevel[4]=120,ExperiencePointsForLevel[5]=190,ExperiencePointsForLevel[6]=270,ExperiencePointsForLevel[7]=360,ExperiencePointsForLevel[8]=450,ExperiencePointsForLevel[9]=550,ExperiencePointsForLevel[10]=660,ExperiencePointsForLevel[11]=780,ExperiencePointsForLevel[12]=910,ExperiencePointsForLevel[13]=1050,ExperiencePointsForLevel[14]=1200,ExperiencePointsForLevel[15]=1360,ExperiencePointsForLevel[16]=1530,ExperiencePointsForLevel[17]=1710,ExperiencePointsForLevel[18]=1900,ExperiencePointsForLevel[19]=2100,ExperiencePointsForLevel[20]=2310,ExperiencePointsForLevel[21]=2530,ExperiencePointsForLevel[22]=2760,ExperiencePointsForLevel[23]=3000,ExperiencePointsForLevel[24]=3250,ExperiencePointsForLevel[25]=3510,ExperiencePointsForLevel[26]=3780,ExperiencePointsForLevel[27]=4060,ExperiencePointsForLevel[28]=4350,ExperiencePointsForLevel[29]=4650,ExperiencePointsForLevel[30]=4960,ExperiencePointsForLevel[31]=5280,ExperiencePointsForLevel[32]=5610,ExperiencePointsForLevel[33]=5950,ExperiencePointsForLevel[34]=6300,ExperiencePointsForLevel[35]=6660,ExperiencePointsForLevel[36]=7030,ExperiencePointsForLevel[37]=7410,ExperiencePointsForLevel[38]=7800,ExperiencePointsForLevel[39]=8200,ExperiencePointsForLevel[40]=8610,ExperiencePointsForLevel[41]=9030,ExperiencePointsForLevel[42]=9460,ExperiencePointsForLevel[43]=9900,ExperiencePointsForLevel[44]=10350,ExperiencePointsForLevel[45]=10810,ExperiencePointsForLevel[46]=11280,ExperiencePointsForLevel[47]=11760,ExperiencePointsForLevel[48]=12250,ExperiencePointsForLevel[49]=12750,ExperiencePointsForLevel[50]=13260,ExperiencePointsForLevel[51]=13780,ExperiencePointsForLevel[52]=14310,ExperiencePointsForLevel[53]=14850,ExperiencePointsForLevel[54]=15400,ExperiencePointsForLevel[55]=15960,ExperiencePointsForLevel[56]=16530,ExperiencePointsForLevel[57]=17110,ExperiencePointsForLevel[58]=17700,ExperiencePointsForLevel[59]=18850,ExperiencePointsForLevel[60]=21078,ExperiencePointsForLevel[61]=22448,ExperiencePointsForLevel[62]=23908,ExperiencePointsForLevel[63]=25462,ExperiencePointsForLevel[64]=27498,ExperiencePointsForLevel[65]=30248,ExperiencePointsForLevel[66]=34786,ExperiencePointsForLevel[67]=40004,ExperiencePointsForLevel[68]=46804,ExperiencePointsForLevel[69]=54761,ExperiencePointsForLevel[70]=63713,ExperiencePointsForLevel[71]=73000,ExperiencePointsForLevel[72]=85000,ExperiencePointsForLevel[73]=98000,ExperiencePointsForLevel[74]=112000,ExperiencePointsForLevel[75]=127500,ExperiencePointsForLevel[76]=144500,ExperiencePointsForLevel[77]=163500,ExperiencePointsForLevel[78]=184500,ExperiencePointsForLevel[79]=207500,ExperiencePointsForLevel[80]=232570,ExperiencePointsForLevel[81]=259896,ExperiencePointsForLevel[82]=289681,ExperiencePointsForLevel[83]=323189,ExperiencePointsForLevel[84]=360886,ExperiencePointsForLevel[85]=403318,ExperiencePointsForLevel[86]=451484,ExperiencePointsForLevel[87]=506186,ExperiencePointsForLevel[88]=566358,ExperiencePointsForLevel[89]=632547,ExperiencePointsForLevel[90]=705354,ExperiencePointsForLevel[91]=785441,ExperiencePointsForLevel[92]=873538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[93]=971538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[94]=1083538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[95]=1213538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[96]=1368538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[97]=1558538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[98]=1798538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[99]=2098538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[100]=2468538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[101]=2918538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[102]=3458538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[103]=4098538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[104]=4208538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[105]=4333538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[106]=4478538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[107]=4648538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[108]=4848538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[109]=5083538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[110]=5355838,ExperiencePointsForLevel[111]=5678538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[112]=6048538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[113]=6473538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[114]=6873538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[115]=7273538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[116]=7673538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[117]=8073538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[118]=8473538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[119]=8873538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[120]=9273538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[121]=9673538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[122]=10073538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[123]=10473538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[124]=10873538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[125]=11273538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[126]=11673538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[127]=12073538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[128]=12473538,ExperiencePointsForLevel[129]=12873538)LevelExperienceRampOverrides=(ExperiencePointsForLevel[0]=10,ExperiencePointsForLevel[1]=30,ExperiencePointsForLevel[2]=60,ExperiencePointsForLevel[3]=100,ExperiencePointsForLevel[4]=150,ExperiencePointsForLevel[5]=210,ExperiencePointsForLevel[6]=280,ExperiencePointsForLevel[7]=360,ExperiencePointsForLevel[8]=450,ExperiencePointsForLevel[9]=550,ExperiencePoint its in the very exact same state as when you left, they have spent the last 6 months coding the xbox release of atlas, so aside of new content they wanted to be ready for the xbox launch the rest of the problems are all there, like ALL of them.
