  1. Would it be possible to get a warning, like the death warning, when someone gets off your boat? 90% of the time no one would care. But when you're sailing and you get "Elephant #5 has jumped off the boat again", it would help a lot at not having to circle back 3 zones to find the idiot.
  2. Bear-Roar- gives nearby players and tames a boost to health regen and taunts enemies Chickens- on wander have a chance to produce a golden egg which gives a boost to gold find. Cow-on wander give the garden a growth boost. Bull-On a successful charge attack gives an armor boost. Crow- Int boost- can detect storms- and gives crafting quality bonus Razortooth-dunno Shieldhorn-dunno Elephant-Lets out a sound with trunk that gives a gathering bonus but drains stamina faster. Giant Pig- let it poop non-stop when you force feed it, also can "dig dirt" and get a lost of worms. Giraffe-can see farther and Horse-Usable horse "neigh" gives nearby tames a run boost. Lion-collects meat and hide better- lion roar boosts tames attack damage. vision boost at night. Monkey- longer stamina while climbing, monkeys should also be able to do small tasks like gathering treasure map bottles or bringing some berries. Ostrich-can detect nearby aggressive creatures and show what resources are available around you, without having to harvest them Parrot-gives a boost to treasure hunting, also when on shoulder crew costs less Penguin-similar to otter in ark they should be able to bring you fish, make the insulation boost they give a buff. Rabbit-Run speed boost and reduced stamina drain, lucky rabbit ability gives you a boost at getting higher quality treasure map bottles. Rhino-Charge ability when used gives a buff to gathering metal, stone and flint, while reducing stamina more quickly. Seagull-bigger fog of war radius and bonus to fishing. Sheep-on wander produces happiness buff to tames and makes them eat less food. Wool can be converted into fiber in the loom Tiger-should be able to jump and creatures and eat them muahahaha....... and tiger roar boosts attack speed. tigers should be able to crouch and pounce Vulture-Give a fort buff and should be able to harvest dead things Wolf-Leader of the pack ability. Rattlesnake- can be worn on arm or around shoulders gives a torpor resistance buff and health regen. *-New tames-* Crew- Gardener- makes sure crop plots have fertilizer, gardener also makes fertilizer when u give them thatch and poop in inventory. Pigeons- adds pigeons and pigeon posts to the game where players can send messages to ,and small items to each other at the pigeon post.) Cats-allow better vision at night and can detect nearby enemy players. *new item* hitching Post!..... O.o Dogs-Man's best friend-on follow gives a loyalty buff- Tiny /baby drakes-Small species of drakes that doesn't get big making them perfect shoulder buddies. Drakes from the cold give cold resistance, drakes from desert give heat resistance etc... (pfft we all want to be the mother of dragons... just saying)
  3. Made the Fountain Today, Wolf blocking Entrance, Tons of Bat and AoD was very funny. Just died Once, and now im Back to 20. L3 is the Grid. Soutwest part of the Island. Not more than 50m away from the Beach
  4. Hi, Just looking to get information across and shared. We live at O3, the island has plenty of resources, but sometimes we need massive amounts of mats and our island may come short on providing them. So, I’m making a thread to see if we can share the best farming regions on the map. Our island is pretty good when it comes to wood, it has some bamboo, so the wood is pretty packed and we don't need to travel for that one. But we do need to travel for thatch, fiber and metal. BEST KNOWN HARVESTING LOCATION (*to my company on O3) WOOD (softwood and wetwood), Bolmond Island Softwood is pretty packed into some bamboo shaped trees (they are not bamboo), and elephant can get a few thousand wood in a few minutes, easy to get galleons when x2 is available as this wood is easy to harvest specially if you have the attack buff. The island is pretty tame too, just an eventual lion or wolf here an there. THATCH (fronds) : A5, Millercona Chain. There is a little town by the big bay in the middle, inside the town you can easily get over 100,000 thatch in less than 30 minutes, bring a bear and look for the leaves on the ground, it will get fiber and some wood as a bonus. It's lawless and has some buildings on it, so access may be blocked soon. FIBER (hemp): O4, Chelpids Reef. This island is littered with fiber, a bear can easily get 100,000 fiber in just a few minutes, a friend and I did a 30 minute trip and got about 250,000 fiber, we lost about 100,000 due to a bug (game crashed while underwater, corpse vanished) but the effort was so low it didn't matter. METAL (copper), Jamstino Enclave. The island is lawless, it has lots of copper around the middle, we've setup a forge in the place to make thousands of ingots. METAL (tin, cobalt), D1, O1, A1. We have seen that in general metal nodes are abundant in polar regions, lots of tin and cobalt, pretty useful if you are crafting cannon balls, since they usually have pretty good spots for coal and flint nearby. GEMS (ruby), Livernia Chain. In the middle of the island there are about 10 ruby nodes, each may give about 500 gems when harvested. Hope this information help if you are around the sector, and hope other people can share their harvest spots. - CID
  5. Breeding carnivores requires too much maintenance, due to low meat stack count in feeding troughs. If we could get the stack count increased to 100, so it matches berries and vegetables that would solve the issue. Or let carnivores eat cooked meat, that has higher spoil timers. Just had 2 baby lions and a wolf die after refilling 5 feeding troughs with full meat before I went to sleep. They died after 5.5 hours due to spoiled meat. Unless it suppose to be this time consuming, I doubt it. I can raise 20 baby bears at a time, and sleep for 8 hours with the 100 stack support for vegetables. Thanks!
  6. I'm split on this. I tried to ride a horse, and it was a bad nightmare, felt weird and just didn't get used to it. This 8yr old jumped on and started doing jumps and whatever else... thought to myself... after my experience that's just insanely adept. In atlas, jumping on an elephant and harvesting trees etc, an attack bear, riding a tiger /wolf... I am torn because as much as I'd like to say it's a game, that one would have to have a certain level of proficiency. I think the riding skill is fairly valid. The bonuses and perks you get with the utility of animals would be a bit OP, if you could do this by default. Same with captaining. - tried to sail a yacht, and if you dont know what you're doing, that's pretty hard to do............. I guess it's all to do with splitting skills amongst the company. If everyone could do everything then it devalues everyone. We have a small company and every role : ship builder, weapons builder, animal tamer, structure builder, chef... they're all valued roles, and gives people an identity.
  7. What is the OP on about? I have not noticed a difference in firearms. What OP said about pistols only doing 35 dmg to a wolf is not true, I know that. I have wolves all over my island, I shoot them regularly with a pistol to the body for 70 ish damage with a common pistol. Headshots do 135 ish.
  8. The wolf attacked me in a flat spot is noway the item can fell out, this is the second time happen to me.
  9. I'm still getting 400+ damage on a headshot with a green carbine? 150-160 on a body shot. You should be able to obliterate a lvl 1 squishy wolf with a carbine.
  10. They cut the damage of guns in half in the last patch and upped their armor penetration. making them utter trash for PVE content. I can only assume you don't actually use guns. because 35 damage for a pistol is unfreaking acceptable with that long reload time, and no skills to up its damage, it can't even one shot a level 1 wolf! There is no heavy hitting what the hell are you talking about? bows get skills that can up their damage by 60%! they hit three times as hard as guns when fully skilled, when with guns there is not a single fucking skill that ups their damage. the reload time for guns does not = it's damage, plain and simple. they either cut the reload time or up it's damage, no other options. bows right now are king, and this is a fucking pirate game not the stone age. There is a reason guns supplanted bows fucking centuries ago. because bows are trash compared to guns, but in this game it's opposite day and guns are trash bows are gods, especially with broken ass fire arrows.
  11. Your nerfs to the firearms was UNWANTED unneeded and UNDESIRED. Guns are utterly USELESS now in PVE. they are so expensive so late in the game and they are literal TRASH. I want to play a pirate game to feel like a damn pirate! not use a god damn bow and freaking arrow! this is not ARK this is not the stone age! we do not want to run around with bows and arrows! we want flintlocks and black powder and guns! cannons! BOOM! that kind of thing what in the hell did you devs do to the guns!? Bows get skills that can up their damage by 60%!!! guns have no skills that up their damage ?! o.0 Bows hit three times harder than guns and reload 3 times faster than guns when fully skilled what the hell did you do devs?! and with fire arrows they hit way harder! Bows were supplanted by guns fucking centuries ago! we should not be running around with them in late game or even mid game!? Guns can't even hurt the damned?! it's use a bear or fire arrows or doesn't fucking bother hunting for treasure. FIX YOUR FIRE ARMS. Rebuff them right now! leave them alone! if you can not kill a god damn level 1 wolf in a single shot with a late game carbine?! you have fucked up your game design and need to retry.
  12. Yeah the bag should be left behind. If the blue light is still present that means one of two things, the body is still there, or the bag is in it's place. If you died to a wolf that means it will have eaten your body, so the bag should be there. If it's not there in the spot of the blue light it's possible it fell through the world, but i've not heard that happening for a long time.
  13. I got attacked by a wolf after I die I went back the blue light was there but I couldn't find my body try all I could to get my items back not a chance, and this happen 3 times so far.
  14. I don't have a video of it, but I never died close to 100 times. Of the 3 times I attempted pre-wipe the most attempts it took (which was on the last time I did it) was 7 times. If you can get to the cave entrance then it's pretty easy going inside the cave. In fact the second time I did it I did actually run to the cave, get in, make my way to the FoY, spammed 'E', got the rejuvination, then got hit by a bat and I ran back out. Ran past a wolf on the beach as I jumped into the water and swam away. Easy peasy.
  15. On our island we got normal landspawns but noticed more birds too. Also Wolf spawn seems to be the rarest thing ever except for polar Region.
  16. g4 glendale hardly any aggressive wildlife full of mainly giraffes , rhinos ostridge and turtles .Snakes, wolfs ,scorpions few and far between , almost every wolf ive seen is dead killed by giraffes and usally only a low lvl wolf , g5 top left small island full of birds no land animals at all this was at 8pm uk time last night , second island more birds than land animals possibly due to being a bigger island and not all land wildlife had been killed for meat / leather / etc ..this morning ran around the entire island ,1 elephant , 2 rhinos and an ostridge , tons of birds flying about .. i have noticed a larger than pre wipe amount of birds flying about , is this part of the problem , the flying wild life spawn are filling up where land based should be ? just an observation , from pre wipe to this patch .some islands may have more as the aggressive spawns are possibly more native to them and set up that way , but certainly the region im in and surrounding grids dont have anything much to be a worry when out farming . which is a massive and i mean massive difference from the early days when i had to be watchful when out farming as wolfs / scorpions , cobras were a plenty , now its just a snooze fest when out and about , and before all the usual player turn up with their couple of screenshots of huge amounts of aggressive spawn , we all have those ,silly amounts from the early days that just clumped up in areas , this isnt about that its about the recent changes to spawns has definatly broken something, tldr: far more birds seem to be spawning even getting 2+ every few hours inside my ships, not many ground based animals compared to pre nerf .
  17. Never had some problems with. But lost a lot of tames while crossing the servers. Had some missing wolf, bear, horse and a bunch of chicken and parrots. Since I check after raising the anchor, if every pet is "normal" on the deck and not hovering around or stuck in, I have no more problems. And NEVER cross the border with pets on the shoulder. With a chance more than 40% u will lose them (% are my personal opinion).
  18. I can't believe this game is not dead on arrival after all the bs players go through on a day to day basis ingame. So the server crashed, I finally log back on and what do I see? My brigantine, something I built just YESTERDAY is missing 4 planks and sinking. Over 10 hours put into that brig, and it sinks because of this... My guess is I must of hit shallows or stray rocks before the crash? Because when my ship finally sunk I saw rocks hidden beneath the crashing waves virtually impossible to see. This is absolutely rediculus. Over 10 hours....And just like that its gone. What a complete waste of my weekend.....And its not just this. The other day I had a pet wolf onboard my schooner. Omw back to base I got shot at by some sotd. My wolf decided to leap into the water. It died to a LEVEL 2 MANTA RAY(LOLOLOLOL) before I could find it. This game is extremely punishing in the most TECHNICAL ways. Its not hard because its difficult. Its hard because its broken and not fleshed out in any way. Instead of working on core game design that is virtually killing the game, they add a submarine that no one will get unless they kill the kraken. I can't do it anymore. Just like everyone else I waited for this stupid "mega patch" to be released and nothing has changed. All the technical bs that players experienced are still being experienced. I submitted a ticket, but I seriously doubt grapeshot will ressurect my brigantine from the depths... My girlfriend wanted to leave state and go to miami this weekend cause of 3 day weekend. But I decided to stay home and play atlas. Finally finished making a brig FOR THE FIRST TIME...And this happens....All that time and work....Complete waste of time....I'm going to get my brig back, or I'm done playing this game. The anger it causes, the punishing aspects of it, its all not worth the time and money for it. Back when I was just a brat was the last time I ever let a game upset me this much. Its childish and I cant believe I let this game bring that side of me out. I should of quit a long time ago. But I gave grapeshot the benefit of the doubt in hopes they would improve the gaming experience.... I suggest you postpone on content updates like a stupid submarine no one wants, an under sea civilation and cosmetics. Work on your core game design. Technical aspects like unseeable shallows, buggy pets, clunky combat and that garbage vitamin system literally noone likes or thinks is a good idea.

Our tames have always 100% Taming Efficiency and Wild Level 37+.   20. This explains that you clearly spend more time on forum complaining rather than playing the game. You can't farm on our island with an elephant, thats how ridiculous the amount of predators is there. And yes, it sounds simple for you that lions take 1 shot and cobras take 2 shots to die but guns need to be reloaded and even if you carry multiple, 4-5 predators attacking at the same time will kill you no matter what. Play the game, travel to different biomes and islands and see the difference. I've seen 1 wolf and 1 lion on 6 different islands in tropical regions. So the spawn is lower there.

  25. Make them all have their actual RL size instead of having e.g. a giant wolf. No weigth reduction at all, but just increased carrying capacity for elephants and rhinos. Also remove scales from the rhino. Normal tusks for elphants. Make metal harvestng with rhino better than with pickaxe.
