Was actually a good read. I agree 100%. At the moment, it's very fun and playable. But very frustrating considering there was clearly no actual testing. So many settings need fine tuned by a TON to even be able to call yourself a "Pirate" that sails the seas. Good luck out there guys. I'm obviously still playing the game. I do like it, i do like the idea of it. Hoping within the next week the issues are resolved. The dev's have actually done a great deal fixing their constantly fucked up game... which... is impressive to say the least. On a side note to all you "It's EA stop bitching" fucktards out there. Yes it's an EARLY ACCESS game. However, being early access shouldn't mean "Buy this, it's broken... but we will eventually fix it enough to let people play it". All you guys constantly bashing on people who've been complaining and saying that the "new generation of gamer's are just privilaged whiners", you may have a point, BUT you dont know any of us. You don't know our ages, you dont know what games we've played, you dont know our fucking gaming background. This is a forum for the game. The game has been broken from the start. People are going to be upset. It's normal. Don't like the whining and complaining from new and veteran gamers then here are a few steps for you. Please see below. 1.) unplug all cords from pc 2.) take it outside and place it gently on the ground 3.) run it over with a car/smash it with a hammer/toss it in a lake or ocean. 4.) Grab your phone out of your pocket, unless it's what you're reading this on, then in that case just hold it. 5.) Walk to the bathroom 6.) Gently place phone into toilet 7.) Flush said toilet 8.) Repeat with all portable electronic devices unless it's to big, if item is to big gently place it in the shower and turn the shower on plug the drain and walk away. Then go on about your bad self without the internet because you need a safe place and the internet isn't it. Good luck out there in the real world if you cant handle a forum lol

Your increased radius idea is actually really good. Would give other players who arent apart of a massive group a chance to have some land too.

Just picked up the game today and spent 3 hrs doing nothing. Lol We sailed to multiple islands to try to establish ourselves and we constantly got chased back to our dinky little boat. Every time, we go back in the boat, sailed to a new island. Last Island of the night we decide to try our hand at the next island regardless of what happens. Besides constantly dealing with Alpha dickhead wolves for 20 minutes, we just couldn't get established at all until those that were already on the island finally decided to remove us lol. I have no idea how to actually get going in this game when every island you encounter is claimed. It almost feels like there needs to be a new server opened up to deal with the over population of islands or to adjust how claims work. Is anyone else having better luck? And I'm talking about people who are in similar situations, like me and my group, only the ending ends with you guys succeeding lol.

I have a private server also and cant seem to get past lvl 8 and the started island, theres a smokey red/grey wall we cant get past. Any idea?

I like the idea of eating while having the vitamins in consideration and i find it quite easy: 1 meat 1 fish 5 grapes 5 cilantro ....and the bars go up equally What I find a little bit exagerated is that in the sea you have to literally die and respawn in your bed because they drop too quick and you can't eat more than 130/100 otherwise you lose health.

No idea, I have 1 crew member thats on the boat but he's offline. I tried spawning in home region, dying and spawning on the beds. I've closed and restarted the game and still couldn't use the beds.

Some grids are offline. No idea why. Which grid are you guys on? We're on M10.

Im not sure at all how this works.. Some folks stole land from me,but when I tried to get it back the flag was simply stuck at like 9:50.. After I left the area I got message my claim is been interrupted then failed,but no one was there.. So no idea lol

Hello, Yesterday I was playing on the EU PVP server. Died in a storm tornado. The bed we had on the raft was not clickable. Pressed respawn in home region. The home region was full... Got disconnected and ever since I have been unable to rejoin ANY region on that specific server. Any of the other official servers work. EU PVE/NA PVP/NA PVE. I have no idea what is wrong. What do I do? Please, it sucks when you can't play with your friends.. PLEASE! HALP

Just a Idea, also very importent for PvE Server Maybe is better to limit land claim: 2 flags WITH a repair timer - flag 1 is a private flag, flag 2 is a company flag - a player must spend the company flag in order to use company land. A flag repair timer? When a player after X days don't login, the flag (land claim) will disapear, very importent for PvE Server!

Edit: Oh I see this "How to get files ServerGrid.ServerOnly.json" just double quote You export from the map editor then the servergrid and servergrid.serveronly will go into the export folder where the map editor is installed

oh I don't mind early access, but when the basics are so far outa whack it's not good, the game itself and the idea about it is brilliant, it's fun but then you get stuck at lvl 8... can't progress and when you finally do get off the island then the next 300 islands around you is capped lvl 8 too that's stoopid and further out everything else is claimed

Lots an lots of people are in the same boat me included i spent 7 hours sailing looking for a place too start building an too this very second the only thing i have done in this game was make a raft an early game harvesting an i agree Warhealer their is other things that need fixing but lmao This one certainly needs fixing its legit putting a halt on all progression in the game an i was having a ton of fun before this part cause sailing nonstop too find each an every isle claimed is not fun at all in the slightest lmao an allot of these guys are legit solo people who just simply claimed an entire isle too them selfs An the halt on progression is even more sour when you consider there is many people who have claimed entire lands an are constantly advancing while you cannot do a single thing at all lmao other then a raft you could build in a lawless zone too get the first ship or building down but the drawbacks of building in that zone is lame talking the cant spawn in beds an what not like legit right now i have no idea on what i even should do cause i visited tons an tons of isles an with nothing claimable is my future in this game Raft simulator? cause it certainly appears too be that way

easier said than done when there is no Rushes only the rashes i get looking for. any idea where to get Rushes from ? couldn't find any on our island as of yet. knocked over every tree so far ...

Honestly I won't mind the singleplayer aspect to this game as well. You could have an offline grid in a 1x1 size for instance and just play it like in ARK. And in my opinion it would be a good idea for new players to learn the ropes in peace, or for players like me that don't have much time to play, so the risk of being raided or having to conquest with someone for a place to even build my home kinda makes me nervous all the time when I'm playing. If this is not possible, then it would be nice to have at least some sort of small instanced island for your own, that would allow you to build your home in peace without the uclaimed land restrictions, and then if you want resources, treasures or other stuff then you would still have to rival with other players or something. Then everyone would find a place for himself and still could engage with other players when he would like to do that.

I havnt seen any salt myself,but in ARK its abundent in desert area,so my idea islands in desert zones should have it. Also pressing H and looking at resources tells you what it contains, so you can check everything and make a list where to get stuff.

Nope it is a major problem for the vast majority of players and steamers. I have been to entire server tiles that have no metal nodes to speak of. I understand the idea of scarcity and trading but this is rediculous my company has been to a dozen Islands and only found 1 island with metal and it is a lawless starter zones. I as a play tester am saying there needs to be more metal. It doesn’t even have to be every island but at least one island a tile should have metal.

We tried to contest an empty claim on PvP, the intial unclaim timer for the enemy flag was 1h30m, but kept moving back and forth for no reason we could discern for over an hour before a third party came in and dropped their own flag, causing the initial flag's unclaim timer to shoot up to max almost instantly before failing our claim. I have no idea how this is supposed to work.

THis is crazy why the dev dont dont fix that ??????????? They probably don't play the game and have no idea what is 15 hrs of sailing. There is a bird on your boat, enjoy our feature go back on freeport and lose all ur progression. Nice fucking joke

Just one question as I have already tried everything the others are suggesting and as said before only the use of a vpn allowed me to see and log onto official and unofficial servers, where are you from? I am from a french Island in the Indian Ocean and I think the devs have no idea that we exist which could mean they didn't allow IPs from my island to connect to their server. It might be your location is also one of those "exotic" locations.

Yeah, that's what we're getting too. I went poking around and found the map in the server grid files and dl'ed it to see if it was blank (it wasn't), so I know there IS a map...we just can't actually see it in the game. And we haven't been able to connect to the Nitrado server since version 5, so I have no idea if any of the recent patches fixed it. Thanks for the screenshot!
