  1. Been a long time coming, just hope the new roadmap includes removing the bs the last guy added.
  2. The smallest group to attack my 3 man companies island since the wipe was still on the top 5 on leaderboard. Nobody that doesn't outnumber us 50 to 1 has tried anything.
  3. I did all the quests and was at 150 right before I got the cartographer, no extra needed.
  4. You can't just throw unrelated crap on something and call it progress. Subs, torpedos, nonsense tames, they are crap that now needs time to clean off and will always leave a stain.
  5. I updated my review to indicate the poor direction, lack of progress, and continued balance issues.
  6. There are probably unofficial servers that wipe regularly and enforce limits on numbers. The official server playerbase has made it clear they will exploit around any player caps with no fear of punishment.
  7. The problem is pretty much everything the devs have been working on. Subs, torpedos, nonsense tames, limiting ship layouts, limiting attack options on aod, ect. When people see the games direction it is hard to convince them to tough it out.
  8. I doubt a wipe is coming anytime soon because to many players would leave and they aren't working on any new content that would bring people back.
  9. I hope the next ship is the airship. Then maybe enough people will quit to get a change in leadership around here.
  10. If the person already has stuff on your island, it will give the message as they enter and the coords will be to the stuff they had placed not where they enter.
  11. Hunting the ghost ship is the most boring thing I've encountered in video games. I fell asleep several times at the keyboard over roughly 10 days of looking for it. Then once we had it in our sights, it was sunk in seconds and gave no disco points. I only did it because at the time I thought it was required for the ice cave. Unless 20% extra gold from maps is a huge deal to you, its a hard pass. The route has barely changed to move around the new island layout and that icon is meaningless and NOT on the route.
  12. But it won't know what line you take around islands, ships of the damned, storms, navigation prowess, ect. Most people don't even know to sail into the waning wind 1st, captain skill can play a huge role in your timing.
  13. Try placing it closer to yourself, even if you end up inside it.
  14. The amount of time it takes to get from point A to B varies greatly because of things like captains ability, wind, and weather. The estimate would be about as accurate as their eta on everything else.
  15. If you have no upgrade on damage and poor aim, 300 will get it done.
  16. Has anybody actually been blocked in by pillars? Every time somebody tries it on me I just sail through them, because its Atlas. If you think EUPVE is empty, take a look at the NA numbers....
  17. If you have something with medium cannons on the back already just go for it, it only takes a few minutes. Canister will get the job done a little faster, but on something that is under 5 minutes already, seems like spending a lot of time to save a little. Ballista deal very low damage now and the ammo is more expensive then cannonballs. Unsure about grapeshot.
  18. The cargo racks overcome their speed penalty at a very low weight. I find it super useful to carry 700 building pieces and be faster then the guy with 150 and no rack.
  19. Pretty sure the next update brings dual outboard motors to the dingy so people have something that can get away from the ultralight torpedo schooners that are sinking everything. Until then, if anybody wants torpedos crafted on NA pvp, send me a pm.
  20. Seems like it is 6x to me, ~500 wood from a tree ~2300 metal from a node with hand harvest buff and feat activated. I reported this yesterday but was more discrete and just told them to look at the numbers again. If this bug overlaps a harvesting multiplier event those rare mats might not be so rare anymore.
  21. Thank you for getting the harvesting feet turned on, but you might want to look at the numbers again.
  22. They either added something wonky with the compass animation a few updates back or the powerstone/essence particle effects are poorly coded. My frames drop from 100+ to almost 60 and textures flicker to lower res as soon as I bring it out. Anybody having this issue that doesn't have the essences?
  23. At least the gate isn't the ghost ship like the original plan, searching for that weak ship was the most bored I've ever been playing a game. The ice cave was actually pretty fun and challenging with 5 guys. My fear is that, without the gate, so many noobs will complain about the difficulty that the boss gets nerfed into the ground.
  24. How does removing the cheesy tames force the removal of the survival aspect, ships or bases? I'm not following the logic.
  25. Greek fire was a thing, the firehose we have in atlas does not resemble that thing.
