  1. Isn't there some feminists you can go beta up to somewhere (else)?
  2. I think the aim is make enough land so that lawless living isn't required anymore.
  3. Polls with 57 options are bound to return valuable data.
  4. I don't get all these "Don't wipe meh progress!" threads. Let me illustrate how dumb they are with 2 scenarios: 1) You've played 2 hundred hours, they don't wipe the servers, you continue playing 20 hours/week 2) You've played 2 hundred hours, they do wipe the servers, you continue playing 20 hours/week See. Not really that different is it?
  5. I have to agree. Having level progression basically tied to powerstones and bosses is bad enough and should also be toned right down.
  6. Readin' is hard brah! Non-settlement owners who have cannons on ships and are anchored shall not be allowed to fire cannons outside of wartime. Settlement owners can freely damage other characters and structures on their island.
  7. You're clearly seeing what you want to see. I'm going to stop playing until the wipe. Many I'm playing with will do the same. Doesn't mean that we're not coming back or that we don't like what is being implemented.
  8. The problem with snap points for canons is the restriction it has on designs. Personally in not seeing this 'everyone uses the same meta build' mentality mentioned here under the current system. If you were forced to use snap points then every boat would be exactly the same. This of course also ignored the fact that cabins and other areas of ships currently need to be built and pretty much all forward and backwards facing canons must sit on ceilings. Now you could potentially say that each ceiling should have snap points and only 1 cannon per tile, that is something people could work with and still have interesting designs.
  9. Yeah, I think they should just make the footprint way bigger so you have to spread them out more.
  10. You know, it's possible to report QoL issues without sounding like a spoiled brat I hate how people just feel they need to be so toxic towards wildcard games, dispite the fact they play them exclusively for thousands of hours.......
  11. I understand it fine. Did you not understand me when I said 1 wasnt the answer? There's a big range Between 1 and thousands. How do you feel a 1 claim limit solves zergs? If anything it encourages it. Build a bed outside claim. Get 5 guys on the island. You'll have canons on foundations outside you base in a couple of hours.
  12. The schooner and galleon with max speed sail configurations have the same base speed. The galleon wins out because of how weight affects speed. Its much easier to have a galleon under 1/2 weight than a schooner.
  13. I think there are certainly issues to be thought about, but 1 claim per company is not it. Imagine making that change. You know the first thing my company would do? We'd make 10k stone pillars and go spam our territories with them. Personally I'd rather the current meta than that old ark pillar meta. I feel like the OP isn't genuine with their complaint. It takes 3+ hours to cap a small companies claim but only 10 minutes to cap a large company claim. Also, you have to give the devs credit here. They've done quite a bit to make naked zergs less viable. They've nerfed grenades, oil jars and flame arrows. Anchored boats take only 25% damage. Raiding is much more of an investment now. Cannon carts are pretty much a requirement now. And that requires an asset that takes time to aquire that can't be replaced immediately if it dies. Naked zergs are an annoyance but they aren't particularly effective. Company size and alliance are an issue. But a limit of 10? Its just not realistic. However 50 or 100? That I could see working. Alliances were always a bad idea and getting rid of them on 6man ark servers was definitely the right move. Perhaps some sort of tax tribe mechanism could work but you have to be careful that it just doesn't become an alliance by proxy. I think claims should be island based and each company only gets so many, perhaps a dynamic amount based on company size? That way you just have your flag in your base and as long as at least 1 npc is there they have to crack your base open to be able to claim the zone. The claim time should probably be longer then.
  14. It's not a bad idea. However I can envisage people just hoarding gold in storage boxes to avoid having it register (in pvp at least). It would need done bonus to go with it
  15. This. Early access lends itself to groups exploiting weaknesses in mechanics giving themselves huge advantages. These are hard to peel back without wipes. They also give players the opportunity to come back on even footing when they were wiped unfairly or just didn't like the balance of the game and won't come back hundreds of hours behind everyone else. Survival games should have server wipes as a matter of course. I'd want one every 12 months post release to keep it fresh. Also, the only reason they didn't wipe Ark was because they promised they wouldn't. So they just did it by proxy with new servers. They have not made that promise with this game.
  16. Well, latest patch nerfed them and thank god!! With the meta how it was I could raid any base in minutes with oil and grenades. Puckles…..lol. You're not going to compete solo in PVP regardless of what tools you have. Company up.
  17. I don't think I asked for stronger AI did I? Or do you mean making puckles slightly better? Currently they are effective against boats but not players. So players just stop using boats. They clearly want us to use boats right? Instead what happens is you log off and wake up the next day to find all you boats sunk by 1 naked guy with flame arrows and oil jars. So what do you do then? You can farm up 1 boat, some flame arrows, oil jars and just go sink their fleet at 3am..... Wouldn't it be more fun to sink the fleet with another fleet?
  18. Its PVP dude. You use the most effective strategy. If I don't do it to you, you'll just do it to me. Its like quetzals in ark. For ages the were super broken. I still used them. Doesn't mean it isn't broken.
  19. (Related from suggestions thread to encourage discussion) I think we’ve seen now what happens when you make it way easier to drop naked flame arrow guys offshore to wipe a harbor than it is to just take on the cannon emplacements………. I mean it’s right there in the trailer. Boats sail up to a base and broadside it while defenders are shooting off mortars. You advertised it. We saw it. We wanted that. Unfortunately the game has degenerated into making a super speed brig, loading it up with cheap grief gear, sailing it near someone’s harbor, drop off a couple of trolls, and then move onto the next island/tile. Rinse repeat. I’m not blaming people for doing it, it’s really effective. WE DO IT! But it’s shit meta, and shit boring……. And it must be driving people off in droves, especially small companies that are offline for 12 hours at a time. So I have a few suggestions. A lot of people aren’t going to like them but I think you really need to do something to make this game work as advertised. Just delete flame arrows and oil jars. They’re too effective at sinking boats and they don’t really add anything else to the game. You’ve already nerfed their affect against wilds/players. Seriously, no-one will miss them. At the very least make them not effective against boats or boat planks I mean they’re waterlogged ffs…. I’m probably more ok with a troll spending an hour getting into 2 boats to popcorm the boxes than I am them spending that same hour sinking 20 boats. Nerf grenades against structures. They seemed to be in a good place previously with being good at destroying cannons. I’d revert them to that and maybe make them effective at anti-personnel possibly. Reduce the cost of NPCs. Don’t get me wrong, gold isn’t that hard to get, but it’s kind of boring and a constant chore. What’s worse is the weight of it and distributing it around your base and boats. Give us some sort of mechanic to feed/pay NPCs across a region or a larger area. Can we get like a vault and a market, give them a fairly large radius so that I can have one in the middle of my base and have it reach gun emplacements on the other side of my harbor? Would be great if it had some permission system too, like only feed/pay boat NPCs on some kind of white list? Maybe I can give the NPC like a payslip to allow him to get paid from it? (trust me, big companies need this) You wouldn’t even need to make stuff cheaper then. You could just dump all your gold in one spot and monitor the levels much more easily. Buff puckles a bit. Not much. Like 25% more range/damage would probably make them work as intended.

  21. Gross. Large company admins test banks as their own personal resources enough already. Personally I prefer choosing what resources I donate to the company.
  22. So my company is at the ship cap but it appears that the ships that stay on the map after being sunk and salvaged count towards that cap. We tested this by counting the amount of bugged ships in 2 Square and moving between them and observing the cap. The difference in the reported cap was the difference in the amount of bugged ships (note that once in the server they disappear while on that server only).
  23. The problem send to be that they don't fight each other. They have just formed a huge mega - alliance which forces everyone to make this a 'China' issue. If ctsg was 4 alliances instead of 1 that actually competed with each other then no one would care. The rest of us just want a small medium company that fights everyone. Personally, I don't want to do as you suggest and 'band together' to fight them. The imperialistic behaviour that we all have to adopt to play these games is counter productive and if anything feeds into the narrative that we all hate the Chinese, we don't. We just want to have our small /medium company and compete against whoever happens to come to our region without having to worry about being server capped and wiped by a mega alliance.....
