    It's really quite simple. Create a separate category for building structures, with different rules, if not already done. Allow them to clip into the terrain, but not crafting or storage structures. S+ has already done this for ARK when used as a mod. Objects can clip, into terrain and other objects, but crafting and storage containers that clip even just a little bit into something else, cannot be accessed. Thus no exploit. But this current coding has created the situation above...access under a would be base structure, because you cannot close it off.

    Add some kind of control points to the map, could be some kinda market points where players can rent booths to sale ingame items or player housing to give players the ability to keep a few items safe but make em pay taxes for it. Make these locations available for any company to take control of by capturing a control tower at that location and the company will be able to collect the taxes on it. Put like a 12 hour timer on it and whoever wins it collects the taxes for the next 12 hours. Darkfall Online had somethin like this and it would bring in several enemies to that location at a specific time. Just an idea for having more open sea combat.

    Since islands were reworked for the Xbox launch, the information you googled was out of date unless it was posted in the last week. Ignore anything online that isn’t super new about resource locations for a while. I’m sure it’s out there, just gonna have to find it the old fashioned way. Also welcome to the forums.

    Removing the ramps did the trick! Thanks very much. I could have been there for days trying to get that working. Kicking Winter is not allowed. Yes, I'm still around. I managed to get my island back after a Series of Unfortunate Events, so I'm still here.

    Playing PVE I've never used harpoons, it's a PVP thing, but seeing it writen down made me realise that some one new and hunting whales for the first time would assume "harpoons" would be the ammo to use. At the start there was only balista bolts, harpoons came along later for PVP'ers to grapple each others ships. They realy ought to change the name to avoid confusion.

    The rates were accidentally set to lower rates by a dynamic ini file. The rates should be back to normal now as they implemented the fix on the live servers "a little differently in the code for the time being". That was nearly 40minutes ago and they said it could take 20-30minutes to take effect.

    Dear Devs, I posted this on the Official discord and one of the mods suggested posting it here as well. The build system is great but there are a couple of snaps I feel are missing. If you have a tri ceiling you cannot snap a tri roof on the edge of it sloping back up above it. You can get it to snap that way with another ceiling attached but removing that extra tile breaks the snap. In the same respect the Tri roofs will not snap to sloped walls like the regular roofs do. While Im on the topic of Tri roofs could you please look into the pathing when running over them? They are fairly glitchy on land but on boats they cause some horrible rubberbanding. A tri roof ramps texture would also be nice. Thanks if you took the time to even read this message

    +1 Been seeing this since January. Happens about 50% of the time (to me), sometimes in chains. Haven't noticed a difference in frequency between land beds and shipboard beds. Sometimes a green map, other times a total failure as if I had died. Worst I have seen is 5 consecutive failures.

    When trying to port to a bed on a ship, right after selecting a ship bed and hitting Travel, getting a green screen in Atlas map screen and then it won't load to the bed. Sometimes killing yourself and then trying to port works or sometimes porting to a land bed that is close to the ship will work. This is frustrating as hell when a Company-mate gets in trouble with SoTD or DC's crossing a border and you need to get to a ship quickly to help. This has been an issue for a while but I can't find any information regarding it.

    Well it's ship related but the shipyard needs a snap feature, I'm sick of taking ages to square it up with my base only to find it's still at an angle.

    its an early acces game, you should have expected wipes.

    You sound like someone who should wait until the game is actually launched....in other words, after development is over. They are still developing features, tweaking, and optimizing...wipes will happen. If you don't like that....wait for launch.

    Can I just add to allow the bookshelf to go on a single deck? I tried on the galleon and it will only go on a double height room. The graphic easily fits, but I guess its hitbox is somewhat bigger...

    The snaps need a delay also. So if you use Q to select a snap point, it should remain there for a time, so when you click to place, it doesn't jump to a new spot.

    As I said with a game like this especially on Official PVP servers in order to win you have take every advantage you can short of cheating.

    Anyone giving OP hard time over this is clearly retarded... being able to track people movements in a pvp mmo = broken game . Especially one that involves territory controll, raiding and any kind of strategy.

    Oh man where to start... Firstly, some of you REALLY have a hard time comprehending why the issue of tracking others movements is a issue. It is a invasion of privacy. There is no god damn need to know when someone logs in, how long they are playing, etc. If you think you need these for playing the game, maybe you just need to work a little harder at the game and do it the good ole fashion way and hunt for them. Secondly, we can clearly see there is a couple people here that have way to much time on their hands and maybe would be better spent reading a book or something. You should be able to play a game and not have to worry about someone tracking your every single movement you do in and out of the game!
