  1. Yeah im figuring out all the changes as I go along. Thanks for the heads up on the Manned stuff for crew etc. Need to get another level to get the large speed sails. Kinda forgot to get that part. Figure i'll work on that next. I went out and got some rhinos, giraffe, elephants yesterday. Was able to actually find a place to put a mine where i'm currently residing. It's nice but honestly not needed as you said. I have pretty much given up on the whole warehouse idea. I mean the only redeeming thing about the whole warehouse is storage/market/traderoutes-( wanted to experience that and so I don't have to make 50 billion chests). I mean the whole fix would be taking out the radius. Putting it in the company. Slap a limit of 1 per company and call it a day. I have noticed that huge amounts of claim towers are going down just for the farmhouses/warehouses etc. The amount of sotd groups has made me turn my focus to getting at least a brig made. I mean the schooner is great and all but it was ultimately just for finding land after I lost my second sloop. Thankfully I was at shore on a lawless island outside of a freeport so I could rescue the 5k gold I had on it. I mean still. I am not a fan of this gold cost for a ship skeleton. I could see gold cost on the newer specialty ships. But you basic bitches aka the original ships shouldn't have that tied to them. While the rates at 5x gold are fine. If it was 1x. No way in hell. Bit by bit im starting to understand why the player counts are as low as they are. If you just bought the game. Seen a treasure map for 100 gold and the 5k cost for a schooner. That is a giant deterrent. I mean it took me 3 hours to sail home from a freeport on a sloop- going from B8 to C2. I coulda gone the other way through polar-but naked in a sloop. OH helllllllll no.
  2. It would help if the devs would give us an idea when the servers will be back up! Hello?! Anyone out there? Devs? I’m so tired of getting kicked off this game without warning. Makes it rather pointless to play.
  3. The issue being ive traveled a ton of grids just to find one spot to put down 2 claim towers. People say there is open land...where? The settlements. Oh yeah majority say Not Accepting Settlers. I pretty much refuse to live on a settlement due to the fact i could lose everything if somone decides to be an asshole. So again. Where is this land. Sure I could sail around for another week and hope people dont log in. Sorry but if i dont make progress in a game within a week. That spells the end of the game for me. Living off a sloop isn't my idea of a good time considering two have already been sunk. The only place ive seen open land is in the tundra. Ok so lets go back to when you first started the game. Did you have enough stuff to survive the polar regions? In a few days did you have a schooner w/Ballistas to take down whales? Esp with the cost of the ships these days. Yep i've got the whole 2300 hours played. It was when the game first came out. I stopped when they brought in the owning an island or living on someone elses settlement. The only reason i came back was due to the claim towers going back to the original system. Yep i found 2 blueprints for a mine and lumberyard that i stupidly built thinking well. I could place them. Warehouse too. Yep buncha shit wasted. Unless i've missed something im guessing this teleporting you are speaking of is fast traveling to a bed. I mean sure its great if you find open spots without other peoples stuff. Im late to the dance and either waiting for server wipe, maybe find some claims not being updated or my only ship a schooner will get destroyed and i'll uninstall the game at that point because the rediculous gold cost for a ship skeleton is a bit steep. I hit level 56 before i actually found a place to call a kinda home. The main point is that the whole automated thing-They advertise it. Sure one or two people per island will get lucky enough to utilize them. But its honestly the biggest joke.
  4. See, I disagree. You're not wrong about the game having it's issues, but the devs gave me a game that I played more than any other game in my entire life. I'm reinstalling the game right now, going to try and get some of my old buddies back on. Hopefully one day they'll invest more into its development. I heard they added seasons which was something I always thought would be a great idea. Wipe every 3-4 months and have a new theme for each season. Maybe make things a little less grindy and require less time investment for people with jobs. I think that could reignite some interest. I would say market the seasons as a feature - I always love it when everyone starts with a blank slate. Either way, I've always loved this game.
  5. How do you know and accept if someone has sent you a trade route? I know how to set mine up but have no idea how to see if someone has requested one from me.
  6. I was messing around with them and I use them a lot in ARK. I like them. It's just you can go up them at all. Soooo you know how ARK had Ravagers and the Monkey men right? Maybe the Spider can climb them? They climb webs so ziplines should be too different. Plus spiders climb up walls now (which I really like btw I love rockdrakes). This could make Spiders the best way to get around as well. But I know you don't want spiders to be "op". If not that, maybe bring the Zip-line motor attachment? It could slow people down like the glider.
  7. Amateurs with a brilliant game idea… why dont u guys sell parts of it to someone who actually are serious about making a good working game? U guys failed.. better sell out while there is still some left
  8. In short terms: Why someone hast to know how to CRAFT a Weapon or Armor to use it? It's a waste of skill points and pretty useless that you've to Skill a lot of Crafting Skills just to skill also the "usage" skils. For Armor as Example. To get bonus like temperated armor or movement speed etc you've to learn also how to craft the armors. Same for the weapons. Firearms. You've to learn a bunch of different skills just to calm your aim or speed up the reload minigame. In my opinion it would be a good idea to rework the Skill Trees. For example: A Knight was someone who was used to wearing armor and fight with several weapons, but not in creating their own. A Sniper or Pistoleer are masters in using their weapons that doesn't mean they can craft their own Last example: Most of us IRL wear pants but i am sure most of us can't weave them ^^' Also working in Beastmaster or Shipwrighting/Sailing A good Rider doesn't mean that he/she is good in taming or train their animal And just cause someone is a good captain that doesn't mean he's also a good shipwright and so on. Long story short: Bulding/Crafting and using are different things.
  9. I'd still rather wait for the series X, that way I won't be buying both of them. Cos I know games are gonna come out for the series X that won't run on the series S. And tbh I actually don't suffer many lag probs on my one x, only if there is 50 or more players in the same area. And that only really happens in eso pvp. Even then its rare I get too much lag. But I have no idea when the series X will be available to me, it could be another year.

  12. White knighting does contribute one bit. They do however need to know they are doing a crappy job which they are. Also, if they continue on the path they are going they will continue to fail. They don’t need to hear “good job” because they haven’t ever done one. This isn’t elementary school where they pass out participation trophies. This is the real world. hey devs, best advice you can get. Anytime you ever have any idea no matter how big or how small, automatically do the opposite and then and only then will you do a good job. Don’t even think about making a new map again. Nobody asked for it and that is the only thing you have done. How about surprise everyone and have an update that fixes all the bugs. Like all of them. You wouldn’t even have to add anything and people would be happy. but no, I am sure we will just get another shitty map nobody asked for. Smh.
  13. Well we officially made it to another all time low. Before last wipe we needed at 1108 average and not we are at 1096. Once we reach the 1k average mark it will really be pathetic to say the least. with talk of them “changing the map” again that just really shows how worthless these guys are. None of the map changes were ever wanted and they just play by the heat of their own drum. I am pretty sure these guys have delusions of grandeur and every time they get a new idea they always think it is the next big thing lol sorry guys the new big thing in new world and you definitely didn’t think of it. You didn’t really think of atlas either. Ark players wanted a water world map and your idea was to make it a stand alone so you could squeeze more money out of them. That was the real idea you had. with numbers this low of you took all official servers and unofficial servers there would not even be an average of 1 person per server. Now when people come to the forums to talk about problems with single player I can’t tell if they are talking about online or offline. Smh you guys are truly sad.
  14. The idea that wipes only happen when there's some big update is a fallacy. They wipe when the population drops in order to reinvigorate the player base, and "big updates" are just the excuse they use to justify the wipe. IMO, they were going to wipe on or around August 24th to coincide with the launch of New World. So with NW being pushed back to late September, I think we can say that the wipe will happen in late September...
  15. May have already been discussed but wanted to mention the idea. I think the option to toggle ghost ships on or off in settings should be a feature to add at least for solo players offline mode or on custom servers. It would be nice to not constantly be bombarded by 15 ghost ships at a time when sailing the ocean. Just a suggestion
  16. A lot of us have suggested this in the past. I will quit the game the day this is put in. The most over used and broken idea ever heard in dead MMOs is to force PVEers to PVP. They will quit the game. This game has some of the worst, laggy, bugged, janky LOLz PVP I have ever seen. You want to force PVEers into that? Or, yeah, force then to have less, when most are already just logging on to reset timers. A better idea would be to have the PVE areas have most or all of the resource, where PVPers would go to refit, repair and stock up. And the PVP areas have higher gold. Now you have an economy and two areas working in support of each other. I had high hopes for Atlas, no longer. Two years and the game has had little progress and still runs terrible (yes I have a high end gaming rig). I only log now to feed and reset times. Another wipe and I have no reason to ever return. Besides, I'm loving the New World beta test.
  17. With the last patch the game is unplayable for a solo player or even 3-4 people. It doesn't feel good to not be able to access 80% of the game. The skill tree is a good idea but I think crafts should be unlocked with levels and the skill tree should be a separate thing. For example, if someone specialises in seamanship, boats should cost less materials to make or should have more hp. Someone who specialises in archery should get bonus damage with b 192.168.l.l ows, etc. (Bad examples but you know what I mean) routerlogin
  18. Shouldn’t be for ships though. That was actually a stupid idea. Should have made it cost gold to do powerstones of the kraken or something. Gold for ships was one of their worst ideas and the numbers prove it.
  19. Alright. Little update of this Mortar Ship. Speed. With current patch and got sail point to just 3 - ship became extremely slow. Default setup brings you just 7.5 knots full speed, so our only option here now is to place a single large sail, to up it to at least 10 knots. Which is SLOWER than sloop. So right now mortar ship is the slowest ship in the game. Rowing. You can create oar modules and replace gunports with them. They are not paintable, and I didn't find a way to bring gunports back. I've tried to demolish them, but this button does nothing but making disappear itself. Placing them from one side is bad idea, because when you try to row - I'll brings only 1 knot extra and make your ship turn every row it make. While all 4 oar modules brings you 2.5 extra knots while active (same action with Ramming Galley brings 4.5 extra knots). More RAW stuff. DEVs forgot to add name plate. So letters just float in the air. Steering wheel is also floating. And tall guy is too tall for this sh*t : ))) Oh and check this damage graphic from inside of rear castle : )) So instead of making some debris, create holes etc., enemy's cannonballs just undo the window and setup wood beam.
  20. Yes, it may be that Grapshot doesn't help here. But maybe someone here in the community has an idea how to solve the problem with the IPv6 (DS-Light) thing.
  21. That would be actually good idea, i mentioned that once. They have could made 3 factions [marines, pirates, pirate hunters] and then those globall buffs and maybe special faction perks would have some sense
  22. Good evening all. I'm having an issue on Xbox where I cannot set up trade routes. I've tried replacing warehouse and trade market in different locations tried other member of clan to place and set up. any idea what I can do would help. Thank You
  23. So as per my Subject how about this idea in resolving 2 issues at once.. First being placing the first mine/quarry/lumberyard - how about after you placed the common building to be able to later upgrade it instead of needing to demolish it to be able to place the better version. This could be done by crafting the BP and similar to a skin for sails ect place it in a slot with the exception once done you will lose the crafted bp item, resolves people having the current issue with after removing your current 1 not being able to place it again due to "to close to another building by this type.. Second being maybe limiting the amount of automation buildings a company may have per island, lets say 1 of each mine/quarry/lumberyard on lawless or claimable lawless islands, this would however not count towards if a company owns the island as they would have full rights on it. Resolves the constant issue with people taking all the spots with the range each needs to be apart from each other but allows other company's to also at least have some stake on the island.
