  1. Well boys, the game is dying, lets slap in some Ark Saddles, that will fix things. What happened to taking the focus off using tames for pvp? No one is using the horrible modular ships, stop releasing more broken bits to a system nobody uses, Its just frustrating for the player base, like you have 2 completely different ship concepts implemented in the same game. And you're telling players you want to phase out the old working system, for the new clunky, slow, buggy, limited customization ship system. How about finish more than 2 prebuilt ships, and finish the modular customization before muddying the waters. I gets its alpha but jesus some of us actually want to play the game too, not just be test dummy's year after year as you throw everything but the kitchen sink at the wall to see what sticks. Trade winds, NICE> about time part of the original road map got implemented, that only took what? 2 years?

  3. Its been a few years and it still feels like were nowhere closer to a finished game than when it was released. In some ways, it feels that we've just taken 1 step forward and 2 steps back...... Can I expect to play a completed version of Star Citizen "one of the most expensive, NEVER gonna finish games of all time" before Atlas will be done? Asking for a friend.
  4. Not sure who has seen the latest twitter post but it mentions a patch coming today or tomorrow and tells us to be excited for it!!! However on the post there is a picture of a pirate riding a dolphin..... I swear to god if you guys think making dolphins ride-able is what the game needs to be better or what the player base wanted...... Please be a joke like the FLYING SHIP you had on the banner and finally removed....
  5. Its been 2 years now, and the devs are claiming they are still in the very early development stages still. So is this gonna be a Star Citizen type thing, 10 years from now were gonna be waiting for a finished product still? I'm not venting, but actually curious if anyone recalls a given time frame.

  7. Fixing speed sails and increasing overall wind speed effectiveness. Adjustments to blueprint stat rolls and crafting requirements. Making improvements to logs for companies. Increasing max stack sizes for certain items. Removing the negative effects of status effects, including vitamins. Giving players the option to choose which Kraken to fight. Reducing the frequency of surface attacks by sharks. Increasing the treasure map spoil time. Cargo Container adjustments. Replacing the text in the game with a universal font style. Hiding more text behind the “Extended UI” function Making ladders easier to climb. @HOW LONG TILL PHASE 4@ ?????????????
  8. Woot! Looks like plans to have flying ships has been scrapped, thank god. If you look at the home page, all of the background images have a little flying ship on the top left of the screen. In the newest patch release, the background is the same but "no flying ship". Score one for the longevity of this game. Those would have been stupid.

  10. @@ A big problem is that people have been asking for more ship options and sail options since day 1. That has been ignored for 2 years. Seems like an easy way to get more people engaged in the ocean @@ Cargo haulers with crazy weight but cant put anything more than swivels on deck, super fast scout ships that cant carry much and cant be equipped with any form of artillery. A true battle ship that's slow beyond reason but can take a beating for longer than a few seconds against upgraded cannons. FACTIONS FACTIONS FACTIONS, ADD FACTIONS TO CREATE 5-10 LARGE GROUPS that can go to war or rally defense on massive scales. That would equalize the mega tribe problems. Most of all, LOWER ALL ship dmg by 75%, and remove the ability to lvl up ship dmg by %multiplier, make it a raw amount. This will make the ship battles more than 20 seconds. @@ My 2 cents. haven't played for a long time, and aside from shuffling islands around, no serious progress has been made on the core game play to draw people like me back. Hire a new Concept Designer, the direction the team is going " adding more land structures" is not what the game needs. When atlas first came out devs said they wanted groups of 100's of people per faction battling, instead its like 3 or 4 megas and 100's of 5-10 man companies sit around trying to hold as much land as they can for no real reason. Implement Factions, that you HAVE to join but can still have smaller independent company's within the chosen faction. Red, blue, green, orange, purple, etc.. just a larger group that EVERYONE is part of that share a chat, just like company chat, you could have Faction chat that everyone could see, but only the company leaders could type in, to reduce the spam. "Action over here on grid a3, blue is trying to take the islands , anyone in red looking for some fun come help defend" things like that. Would both force you into more pvp situations when 4/5 factions are actively at war with yours, and simultaneously offering your company protection by being part of a large faction. Disable any form of alliance among factions to perpetuate a constant state of war among the grids of Atlas. At first it will be hectic, but eventually member companies of the same faction will start to team up to control an area of the map to Base out of and defend. Im sure there are TONS of technical issues to implement something like this, but they have had almost 2 years to get it done.... If you dont like the idea of being part of a huge army/faction, maybe try sea of thieves , not meaning that in any condescending manor either. Its actually build for smaller groups and shorter time commitments.
  13. At the rate things are rolling out, is it a safe bet to come back and check on the progress of the game in about 2 years'ish?
  14. They already banned a hacking company, although just hours later then had new accounts and were back on the same island doing the same stuff.. Problem solved fellas lets go to lunch.
  15. If anything nerf all cannons. Make ship battles last more than 1 or 2 lucky volleys......... Thats why very few ppl are actually sailing the seas looking for ship combat. Spend a day building a galley/brig, making cannons ammo, getting npc. Have it sink in 20 seconds, to a rapid reload double volley lol. Ship battles should last minutes not seconds. Dont even get me started on how fast a suicide schooner with a bunch of flamers can sink ships.
