I asked the same thing in game, I was doing maps all day on Saturday and got 6000G. I noticed after the first I received less than stated until someone pointed out to me in game that maps are taxed, I did not know this, I mean tax on your treasure? Don't agree with that at all but it is what it is. I usually only do the maps on weekend for double gold, I logged out and read there was no double gold but I kept on doing them anyway, still had fun but shame it wasn't double.

I was also thinking of building a galleon for cargo and tames only, no cannons as I don't intend to stop and fight. Does anyone have any screenshots at how to build them? I know you miss certain floors out to fit tames in but I am useless at doing it without a picture of some kind to see it. I would assume it's more weight sails and some speed sails?

@Jatheish any chance you can address this topic also please? Is the in game chat something you are looking at or is it on the back burner for now? I just don't like how you can't filter out alliances in chat, other alliance can only see half the chat and wonder what you are talking about. It would be nice if we could have an upgrade on the chat system also please.

I don't think it is unfair but I do think they should reduce them to say 1 weekend a month and not every weekend or even kept for special occasions. You get to hooked on waiting for the weekend, I should know because I do it myself, I keep all my maps for the double gold and then get as much as I can. I will miss it if it stops but you get hooked on them to much in my opinion.

I know you do Tol so does Hari Shame they can't fix it, maybe soon hopefully but I'm not a fan of the in game chat system anyway.

Reminds me of many months ago when i wasn't so used to sotd. Sailing along on schooner and noticed sotd only for game to crash. Frantically trying to log in and took ages. I finally logged in 2 or 3 mins later to find myself up against 2 sotd. I quickly turn sail and sail away but the wheel smashes and that was the end. I certainly learned my lesson back then of carrying spare wheel and planks lol.

I use it all the time, it is very useful just for the directional compass and heading. It also gives you all locations of shipwrecks on the map. I think the most stars I've got is 7 and it gave me 7500s or something like that, you can use it in the daytime as well as the night. You also get the bonus of the mini map in the top left corner, this is useful to me when coming into islands, I know which are the shallow points without clicking for the other map.

Does anyone know if there is some sort of filter on alliance chat box to filter what messages get through? I have a few alliances but when you chat in game others can't see the chat and they wondering what you're talking about. It would be nice to have some sort of filter on this if there isn't already one available, i've never noticed it though. It would be nice to have everyone in alliance but some just don't know each other well enough for this and makes it awkward when chatting to people.

Tornado is not that bad for me unless you have a really heavy ship which I try not to do to much. The mist is problematic though, sometimes it seems to come in 1 after the other but I always stop to play it safe. If you can't handle the tornado and you are not far from land it's best to just pull up quickly as possible and anchor,, that way they stop and wait it out for rain to stop. I would love them to add more thunder and lightening though, the big crackling of thunder with sheets of lightening in the sky.

I had problems with them before the wipe but this time around I'm on an island with no or very little snakes thank god. I have placed mine over water also, not had any problems I'm probably tempting fate saying this.

Oh I see well thanks that info, maybe I will have to think about putting points into something else instead of cooking then. I will try the fish n chips and pork pies though to see if it does make a difference. I think they should change it and boost both equally, I thought that was what it was intended to do, maybe they will change this who knows.

I haven't really gone into the recipes before until now but I was under the impression they gave double vitamin boost? I made the bubble n squeak but that only took the yellow one up and not the orange also even though both are below 50% Am I missing something here, are they supposed to do this as i've not done it before? I was expecting both yellow and orange to go to 50% at least. It was the same when I tried the hot cocoa, it only sent one up as well. Maybe this is a bug or supposed to work this way?

This is why people are forced to do the same thing, maybe not to this extent but to place foundations down to map your area before you build. When I first arrived all I made was a little hut, this was when I first spawned after the wipe, I was the first on my island. I noticed 2 others running around, looked out the door and they were placing foundations down, I knew it was going to be like last time so I had a choice to make, put foundations down myself to map an area for myself or wait to be boxed it. This has a knock on effect, people are forced into doing it but there is certainly no excuse for spamming them all over the place as far as the eye can see. Maybe further down the line they will try the system of giving everyone a certain area with a claim flag or something again or change to having some certain limit. I have noticed alot of demolish-able bases lately though, whether that is people leaving the game or people leaving the island I don't know.

Well we had several people in chat arguing about being blocked in all around them. They live on the opposite island to me so I thought I would check it out to see what was going on over there, this is what I found, excessive?

I haven't even done most of the quests, I have so much fun without them anyway. If you're only focusing on quests then you will certainly get bored very quickly, more to this game than quests.

I don't mind the change, all cannons should be removed from back anyway. I always use side cannons as intended.

All is fine now just to update, no idea what was going on yesterday but couldn't play at all. It must have been what they were doing to servers but doesn't explain why some in my grid did not have a problem with it. Hope its fixed for everyone else also.

Yes that is what is happening to me, can't do anything right now. I wanted to bring my ship back this morning but couldn't even use E to get on the wheel, never had any issues like this since playing it. I hate it when things like this happens, i've played it non stop and when you stop all of a sudden it's a huge miss. Hope it is fixed soon.

I've been playing everyday until I logged on this morning and can't play anymore. The game is just rubber banding and you can't move anywhere. My ship is still in another grid, tried to bring it back but couldn't even get on the wheel. Fast travelled back home and it's the same there also, just unplayable right now for me which is a shame, never had much problem with it until now. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? or know how to solve it? I see other people online so must not be everyone who is getting this but I just can't play it until it's fixed.

Still don't understand why they don't just have 1 NPC that you goto at freeport to funnel everyone in 1 place or at least have a few dotted around the freeport to cope with any load. All they have to to is have something where you go up to them, press E and choose option "available shops/company" then it brings up a new window where all available things are for sale and from which company. Have the search bar at the top and if you're after resources or whatever then type it in and it brings up listed companies selling it. I don't like this idea of shops placed in random places, we trade already without the shop in our area, everyone had to goto the freeport at some point, surely it makes sense to have them all there or the suggestion I made of 1 NPC and a menu option. I bought the shop but after seeing my neighbours upkeep cost I stuck it in the box, never even bothered with it, waste of time right now.

It is flawed anyway, all you have to do is die and respawn so its back to normal. I would like them to fix this system in a way so when you eat the foods needed you get some sort of experience or buff the longer you keep it up. I went into cooking with foods, waste of time right now until they stop you dying to reset. Another solution might be when you respawn without having enough food prior you have even lower vitamin to start with. Not to sure of the solution but it needs to change.

I am getting the same problems, the lag on our island is ridiculous, I mean it goes down to 2fps in parts and sometimes you can hardly move. I thought it might have been the buoys, deleted them all and the problem still persists. I have never had this problem before before the wipe, some say it's the structures on our island but surely can't be that as i've been through loads of structures before wipe without problems. I've contacted Jat about it but no response. It would be nice if it was fixed because bringing the ships in you don't know whether you're going to slam right into the side of something or not.

Really? Oh I want one now haha. Never even been into the underwater trench yet so I wouldn't know how to tame them anyway. I joined your Discord the other day to see what you had available, might have to pop over sometime although I'm way over in M5 so would take awhile.

My neighbour had this also, built a bridge with pillars underneath and few hours later came back to most of it gone, scratching our heads wondering why it had vanished. It's a well known bug which they will hopefully fix soon.
