  1. Make me my food, dumbass. Fix my brakes, dumbass. Don't give me a ticket, dumbass. What could possibly go wrong?
  2. Not sure, no one in our grid has lapsed yet to see. Which, in itself is kind of annoying, we got about 16 companies in the grid, and see Maybe 15 people peak, ever - usually hovers around 4-8. I would love to see some new blood and active players in the grid. I've even been trying to rearrange my handful of flags to free up a claim or two, but the overlap is screwing with that idea.
  3. Paragon is only the #5 company on NA PVE. That means theres 4 more companies with more flags... What I don't get is that East India is the #6 company. I have one of their bases near me on my island. It only shows them having 120 or so flags....Top 5 have over 1k flags each, and #6 has...120? The other issue with that is that it seems that anything over 100 flags or so is at a 4 day claim time. East India has the same 4 day claim timer. I thought it was supposed to scale down the more flags you had, not scale to 100 flags, and then after that, its just a flat 4 day.
  4. 2 grams of pure gold....and 398 grams of random trash metal But, yeah, dropping gold down to .1 would be a good start. .05 even better. But, doing a bit of research, Doubloons weighed about 7 grams of gold. Pieces of Eight were about 30 grams of silver. So, even if we rounded up a bit, it would be .01 to be comparable to a Doubloon, or .03 to be comparable to Pieces of Eight
  5. Its an issue that has had a few reports about on a couple of the forums. Basically, if the climbing pick takes you a route that has your body clip into anything, insta-death, and your body is hidden somewhere in the mesh. I see it most often on cliffs with lots of protrusions. If you anchor to the vertical wall above one of the protrusions, and it makes your body clip in...you be dead.
  6. Aye, if, and when we get a wipe, I'd love for them to implement a system of preset grids, or better yet, hexes, that a flag in that area claims just the area it is in. I could see trying to implement it without a wipe, but that would cause havoc for people whose bases could be straddling the new, preset grid lines. Although, if they did something like they did in Ark when they added/changed biomes, with a week or two of the overlay showing where the new area borders would be so you could move your stuff, and just ceded control of those areas to the people who had the flag there, ignoring sea claims, it could be workable - just a helluva lot more work for the devs. I love the claim system in theory, because without it, you get what you had in Ark, and to an extent on a good chunk of Lawless here, with pillars and foundations everywhere, blocking spawns, etc. I think eliminating the overlap, and shrinking claim areas by about 10% - literally a foundation width around the outer edge of the claim circle - would solve a good chunk of the issues. It would free up space for people to rent (once they fix the landlord system being able to screw over the tenant whenever, and the decay timer problem), and if it didn't necessarily free up space immediately, it would force people to have more flags, thus decreasing the time before they're claimable, and increase maintainance costs when/if that happens - which would force some people to completely give up claims faster, to get to what is manageable for their playstyle.
  7. Agree with you on both those points. The Declare War on people who aren't here, not so much. I play PvE so that I don't have to worry about not playing for a day or 2, without getting everything I have leveled, and losing everything. If I wanted that, I would go play PVP. A phone game is different, as you can be on your phone mostly wherever. With your system, if someone declared war on me at 11am on tuesday, set to start at 11am wednesday, I'd get to go to work wednesday at 8am, and know that when I got home at 530pm, everything I worked for over the last 300hrs would be gone. Kinda a suck situation to put people in on PVE servers.
  8. One thing I will say, is that the claim overlap system is a big part of why I personally am not willing/able to give up land. Out of my 7 land claims, I have 3 that literally serve no purpose, and would be willing to give up, however, the way the claims were set up when I took them over, they all overlap so deeply, that giving up my unused spots, would result in cutting my base or dockyard claim almost in half - and thats assuming that anyone other than me would even be able to place a flag, due to the overlap, even if they were unclaimed. Since no one was on in my grid, I spent a good chunk of the morning trying to spread out the flags some, and re-arranging them, but all 1 was able to do was make the overlap about 1/3 into the spots I want to keep, instead of almost 1/2, due to other claims surrounding mine.
  9. Its not even 2pm est on a weekday, Valentine's day, no less. Probably not the best time to gauge how often people are around. I went through 3 servers a bit ago, and the player counts were 4, 2 and 1. So cold and lonely. Hold me? Granted, 2 tropical and a temperate servers having 3, 1, and 0 players besides me at any time is never a good sign in and of itself.
  10. Whats up with a few of them showing no game bans, or days since last ban being greater than 90 days, which would preclude that ban being from Atlas? Glitch in the system, overturned, or weren't actually banned - just their ID put on the list? The other thing I'd be curious about, but am far too lazy to do, would be to create another account with all those IDs on the friends list, and see if, and how many are playing Atlas now - or wasn't there a site that you could track people by their steam id, and see which grid they were in?
  11. Declaring war without the other company accepting it would just turn PVE into a PVP server, with constant offline raids - you'd just have the extra step of Declare War. Diving Suit seems...odd...to have in the Piracy tree, limiting underwater exploration unless you've taken that tree. Hopefully Submarine goes under ship building, and not piracy. What I don't understand about abandoned ships at anchor, is that my ships take minor decay damage over time if I leave them anchored, yet the abandoned ships/rafts/dinghys scattered about at anchor take no damage at all. One thing they could do to clear up those ships is implement a decay system that works on everything at anchor, doing a percentage of HP damage per day, ie: 5% health per day. At the end of 20 days, all the abandoned ships would be gone. The only annoyance would be the minor amount of annoyance of the active players having to repair the ship a bit more often.
  12. If they insist on keeping the age mechanic, until they figure out a to make the FOY something other than a naked run of frustration, they should just auto-apply the FOY buff to everyone as they hit 100 and reset the age to 20. Hell, call it a generational buff, until they put the rest of the age mechanic in, and save the FOY for something else. Failing that, just kill the age debuff until they get everything situated on that front.
  13. Would be both nice for ease, but it would have to be set up to only use certain containers, so your basic crafts didn't use your rare resources, instead of the one you get outside the front door. The other part of that would be to allow us to craft inventory craftable items on the smithy. Its annoying to have to pull the resources off to make wood ceilings. If I can build it in my hand, the crafting table should be able to do it too.
  14. Aye, that and the fact that the anchor is off the stern off of most, if not all, ships. It telling me its too deep to anchor when the stern is scraping bottom is kinda weird, as well as what I mentioned above, with my mile deep anchor chain.
  15. At this point, I'd be fine with gates that are the same width, but half the height. Something that looks like giant warehouse/barn doors would fit the aesthetic well. - along with giving an alternate texture to the stone. The Bank stone texture is badass, I'd love to be able to build with a stone and beam look, instead of just plain stone/ancient temple look.
  16. From my experience, at least with my schooner, the anchor ability point is toward the front of the ship. I have a spot with a similar situation to yours, and if I back in, I run aground before I can drop anchor. But, if I pull in forwards, It anchors fine as soon as the front 1/3 or so is into the shallows. Its funny that my anchor can't drop off the back of the ship into about a foot of water, but if I drop it pulled in forwards, the anchor chain drops down into the abyss. Not sure how deep it even is, I've tried to see and ran out of air before I got there. A solution would be to make it so that as long as you're in the light blue area on the map, what I assume is essentially the continental shelf, you can anchor. Would clear up a lot of the problems people are having with finding anchorage.
  17. Ive had a few of those issues. The crafting one is usually solved by dying - sometimes fast traveling to different zone bed. The not regaining mats was another one that was fixed by dying - my corpse had all the stuff I should have gotten. I usually get that combined with the being unable to craft certain objects. Back when your sleeping body stayed in game, there was another copy of me sleeping on the floor which seemed to go hand in hand with the issue. Dying made that copy disappear. I had the paint not working for me on a buoy light yesterday, today it was fine.
  18. Well, as is, you can eat the plain cupcakes with no issue. Its once they're higher tier with frosting that you no longer know how. And if you invest points to eat the ones with frosting, you still can't eat the ones with sprinkles. But then you put points in, and now you can have the ones with sprinkles, but some bastard put a cherry on top, too...time to respec. Now I want cupcakes.
  19. It is for me. You should be able to ride any tame your tribe has. Now if you're speced into it, they should get bonuses to speed, harvesting, stamina usage, etc, but merely being able to get on one is something everyone should be able to do. As is, it makes being the tribe tamer a moot point, since you're the only one who can use them. No captaineering? No driving a ship for you! You can't use the cannon/swivel gun, you didn't take artillery. Hell, you didn't take cooking? - You just set yourself on fire trying to cook meat. Make it so everyone can use every thing at the rate it is now - make it so that the people who spec into them can use them better.
  20. Only if they live in lawless and have no claims.
  21. But, the biggest problem is the fact that I have to spec so far down the tree to use masterwork flags to spam and offline raid people, while not finding any land to claim.
  22. A solution to it would be to have any tier gear usable by everyone - everyone wants the better gear, after all. Just change the ability to use the gear to a bonus to effectiveness. You took tier 3 in tools, you get a boost to harvesting amounts, or to stamina drain when you use the tool. Armor, you already get the speed and stamina benefits, just have the base speed penalty for not being speced into armor be slightly higher with each tier
  23. If i would have been the one who claimed it, that would be an amazing plan. The problem is that it is Company A's ship, who owned the land originally over a month ago. Company B took over the land and claimed the ship some time about a month ago then quit playing shortly after. I took over the land when it was claimable, about 3 weeks ago, but was never able to claim the ship, it just sits there. I do have some neighbors who do have some ships that are the claimed/not usable, so I'll suggest playing a fun game of How Many Elephants Can I Fit On A Sloop to him, tho.
  24. Does the timer show demolish allowed for all players, or just the landlord company? If its just the landlord, then it shouldn't be too much of an issue, because if they were the kind of people who would demolish, they can just set it to company only and screw the tenant over anyway. If it is anyone able to, that would be the biggest issue.
