  1. Yes. That is related to pillar placement. Try using foundation. Place a pillar on foundation and go up from there.
  2. Generally, pvp in atlas is boring af. Ark is superior. No wonder ark has huge player base over the course of years and atlas is declining. Talono, I warmly recommend moving to new arkpocalypse servers. No fat bases no megas, 30 days and wipe, x3 all. Fun.
  3. Fast travel non combat sailing speed would be a nice addition to the game. One of the reasons I quit is the slow speed of non combat sailing. I have laid out a concrete proposal of fast travel mechanic earlier. X3 speed until in range of enemy object, then reverting to normal speed to resolve conflict, and then fast travel can be reactivated. Only to already discovered islands though.
  4. 30 seconds to take out 230 alloys.Raiding is incredibly easy, one of the reasons i quit.
  5. Now the devs have no other choice but to deliver to zerg companies. After the initial 30k solo and buddy tribemembers left the game, only small number hardcore small companies remained on pvp and even we had to be connected with zerg to avoid being zerged and to access end game content. Warphase depending otribe size and alliance size would be a nice thing to try to balance out this problem, atleast on pvp.
  6. Excellent topic. The weakness of passive defenses is main reason that I quit after 1k hours of hardcore pvp official small group.
  7. War timer penalties for larger companies with more allies and islands would be nice, and war timer reductions for small or solo owners.
  8. Sure, and to add to this, I would like to see puckles with better range to match towed cannons as well, and with double the punch power to eat thru large HP pool of the attacker. Not plying any more, but still monitoring the game progress.

I had similar experience starting small, and was offered a position in zerg eventually, also automomous position as a ship captain, but my mates said they would stop or reduce playing if I merged, and they didn’t want anyone else to run them or use their stuff. Combine that with my inherent dislike for large groups of people and reluctance to do small talk and keep discord comms open to hear unimportant laughter, farts, belches, banter, fuck, off topic etc, we refused that offer and continued to play as small company owning a pvp island, with high ciiteria whom do we let in. Some people just want small tribes, and devs did promise something of a sort for us.
  11. That is the sad truth. Laughably easy to attack bases in atlas. Unlike ark, where you need serious ammount of tames and resources.
  12. How do you become a war general. Do you get steam achievement for it ? And what is a difference between war general and peace general?
  13. That is absolutely same as i Ark. It functions there because there is smaltribes servers. In games like ark and atlas , skill does not matter much. It is about 2 things only: resources and networking. And both come from player number in a tribe. The ammount of time needed to far and obtain 250% gear is much lower for megatribes tha for 2 of our tribes, and in there lies the reason.

  15. I think they should ditch speed sails as such. Speed gives ENORMOUS advantage in pvp. And the only thing that adds or subtracts from it, should be weight balancing. To balance it, speed sails might become something called turning speed sails, allowing for faster turn.
  16. I am genius then. I put 75% into stamina and 25% into oxy Didnt try it yet cos didn't find the time to do so. I got it 1 hour after patch, and though as it is relatively easy spawn and tame, but idk if I was lucky that time so don't wanna risk losing it. And i will not use it till they fix stamina How does he far vs sharks and stuff that aggros you underwater?
  17. Yes this is ark concept of who has the best gear and more level, wins. I would not mind it at all, if we had smalltribes pvp servers that are limited to 6 ppl. Like colonies should have been, and empires for the disgusting herds.

Consider the idea of fast travelling with interrupts for encounters(return to normal speed if traveling ship comes into a certain range of non allied ship, sotd or sea monster and resuming after enough distance is made), and taking all variables into consideration like weight,wind and sails. Most people find sailing to already discovered places a chore, so my wager is, fast travel of x3 to already discovered islands outside of local server would be revolutionary. Fast travel should not be possible to undiscovered islands. Fast travel would start when you exit the island zone and if no enemy element in vicinity from atlas map while captain starts steering - no entering some special location for it, like currents etc, as this would be camped by griefers. Fast travel occurs in normal game time, only the travelling ship is x3 faster. Also, to further prevent big tribes from easily attacking long range, to take into consideration if any of the destination island in destination sector is war phase, and if so, slow down fast travel to normal speed. Also add cooldown if fast travel is interrupted by the initiator to further curb pvp abuse of the feature. Allowing the npcs to auto pilot the ship across sectors is also a neat idea. But also would need some special leveling skills for them: gunnery, melee, navigation...
  19. What stats toput into? Oxy? Does he get attacked by sharks?

Except in 1 crucial detail: time invested in farming the BPs, farming the 6 materials, farming the mythos, surviving the farm phase, leveling a specialized INT based character to 1,4k Intelligence, taming a crow, and finally crafting the 200% sail takes less than 1 day for a zerg company. To everyone else... And for what, in the end? So that zerg admins and leaders have the pleasure to hunt down and destroy bob ships effortlessly, tipping the game balance even further. For a person who seems smart, you sometimes seem incredibly short sighted. This week ATLAS player base dropped further: in the night of mega update, during the peak hours, it had just 6k players. That is a drop from the starting 12k, since the wipe. Now divide that number by 2 and that is the number of pvp players. Divide that further by 2 and you have the number of official players. Further division by 2 reveals the NA player count and EU player count on pvp. For how much longer will the zerg more have the pleasure of blasting the smaller tribes with their 220% cannons, do you think? Well, the answer begins to be quite clear to me..

  22. BP sails should be nerfed in a way that max speed bonus is taken away from game. It is too imbalanced for pvp. In PvE it should be allowed.
  23. Peace time is too valuable, and is worth some small tax rate IMO as well. Sad truth is, not only small companies, but also zerg companies who should fight other zerg, actually raid lawless for blueprints and gold. It is only matter of time. Seems lawless is meant for harvesting and temporary building only.
  24. Should slow down 10% not 40, now it is useless and sailing is already boring af.
  25. I have built underwater structures to protect my ships from them.
