Why the hell were you doing all of that? If you made a base in the temperate you wouldn’t have to worry about going anywhere. We need 100’s upon 100’s it bears with awesome stats right in one spot. Even if you had a job all it would take is you dedicating 4 hours(if you can’t do that then you don’t deserve to breed). And then have company members(even 1) feed them while you sleep. Even if you go to work for 8 hours(ok, you miss 1 imprint, boo hoo), you still have a good bear coming out. bottom line is if you can’t even sacrifice a little bit then you don’t need to be breeding and that is all there is to it. side note to anyone that disagrees: guess what? They won’t be changing it for at least 6 months if not a year so by then I won’t care and will probably be long gone. Thank god you have to wait a lot longer

Remember to tell that guy they said two years though. That is very important. Who cares about genesis, they said two years and now they have 5 months left. Anything other than 5 months is just another failure upon the gigantic pile of failures this company has amassed

Ok 6 am pacific time. Might seem early to me but for most it’s already getting later in the day lol. There is no excuse for not giving a definite time for launch. At the very least there is no excuse for now giving a 2-3 hour window. This new team is starting to look as unprofessional as the last so I will make sure to keep my expectations very low. dont bother with the whole white knight it’s not midnight pacific time yet. Believe me that doesn’t help the devs at all, you just make them look worse. It’s like someone being made fun of for wetting the bed till they were 15 and you come in and say “well actually he was only 14 1/2”. Lmao I am sure some will try it though. no excuse devs. Show your worth.

Yeah the way things are is a crappy system. Megas are worthless. Ark made is successful atlas made it to the toilet. I mean atlas is known as one of the great failures. It has to be a completely different game to become even mediocre. Indestructible bases is definitely the way to go. Keep the pvp on the water like they said.

Nah, with Megas there is nothing like diplomacy, community, commerce, government or any other words of that nature. Megas are just weak kids that band together because they don’t want to lose their stuff but still want to be able to roflstomp beach bobs. megas really are pathetic, but it is fun to try and watch them defend their actions “ come on guys, we are like the government” nah, just losers. Megas made this game fail just like they failed at life or they wouldn’t be spending that much time in the game.

Yeah still the same. They haven’t done any updates for a long time and they have only said they are making a new map. I all but guarantee that breeding will always stay lengthy. To be honest it should. There were already 1000’s of bears to begin with. Just one person alone in our 4 man company had over 120 bears and 90 were named trash. He had some very good stats. Did it all be himself too lol so yeah breeding doesn’t need to change. Way too many tames already out there.

Ok, gotta tell you guys that you are all looking at this the wrong way. Pvp is I git now are against pve people and vice versa. This is not how things should be. it should most definitely be about the devs versus the players at this point. The two might not see eye to eye but what all of us gamers should realize is that whichever side the devs piss off they will leave which will in turn make the devs care even less. so it doesn’t really matter where they focus attention or where they make changes. It is up to us the community as a whole(both pve and pvp) to let them k ow they aren’t doing a good job. Even if the pve people might be happy or the pvp people might be happy that shouldn’t matter and the selfishness needs to stop on both fronts. if either side left there would be about 1k players playing and to be ho eat even you you guys would be fine to admit it, I would never actually admit to playing a game only 1k people are playing because that is just pathetic(regardless of passion). All that shows is that you are willing to put up with whatever is given to you and lack self respect, so yeah it’s time to come together and actually have these devs do their jobs.

If they can meld pvp with pve I will give them respect. If they can’t and it was simply a new map and they go back to multiple clusters then at that point it wouldn’t matter if the next update was the biggest success ever. I am sure these guys realize this is the last stand for them. If they don’t pull something awesome out of their butts then they and atlas are done. numbers were abysmal even before the wipe was announced so we can’t even blame the low numberS on the wipe. They better get this right. I will praise them if they do but I will also damn them if they don’t. I need that to be clear. Anything other than the best idea ever is a failure at this point. That had two years so yeah. Time for a Hail Mary.

Oh hell yeah there should be looting. Once the ship sinks I believe everything on that boat is free game from tames to raw materials and crew to weapons and armor. I like the idea of being able to salvage a boat kind of like the whole sea of thieves thing but with a cost adjustment to it. Sea of thieves while being cartoony had some really good pvp going. atlas has never been player vs player. It has always been a player vs base scenario and even though ark has risen because of that playstyle, atlas has failed miserably by using it. If bases are still wipeable after this update they are really done for. people are already leaving because of the wipe they just did(mainly pve) so them not only having a faulty PvPvE combo but still having wipeable bases will easy kill off the couple of thousand people that are left. they better be very scared right now since the update drops tomorrow. I am not surprised at all that they aren’t trying to over hype like they usually do. Fear is what they need and deserve right now.

Well foundation wiping is the main reason for people not wanting to engage. That is why small to medium companies don’t want to fight large to mega sized companies. A base shouldn’t be able to be wiped. The pvp should stay on the water where it belongs and then have ships be able to be destroyed in pvp. I will never agree that bases should be raided. That is an ark mechanic, but atlas will definitely fail of base wiping is still a thing. so ships/tames/crew all destructible. As well as the players themselves and their bodies can be raided. bases? Nope indestructible. being able to bounce back by keeping your base will allow you to build another ship without starting at the very beginning again. I mean hell of you lose your tames that is already a set back but if you don’t even have a set of tools or any benches a lot of times people just say screw this game. I really don’t care if people like raiding bases or not, it just shouldn’t be a thing. if people can build ships again it would keep the pvp going on the water at a much greater frequency. Base raiding just needs to be a forgotten thing.

Well all that will be gone and forgotten when the wipe comes. I also won’t believe it happened after that because if the character is no longer around then it never happened. And video can be doctored so come Friday I simply won’t believe you did it.

I am not saying I disagree with you man, I am just saying they won’t do that. They cater to Megas and that will never change. It is unfortunate and I am on your same page but at the same time I know it will never happen.

What I am gathering is they are not doing testing and just rushing I to things. They will he leaving the pve server open because many pve players probably won’t like the new map because of the pvp dominated playstyle. I also gathered they are still being secretive even though it’s only 3 days away. The patch notes should easily be dropped right now. I am thinking that they didn’t really change that much mechanic wise and just made a new map with a forced travel route. don’t get too excited guys. If they are boasting it is for a reason because if they have something good to say they will shout it to the heavens.

Don’t worry devs, even though we may want all the answers we do realize there is no way at all for you to give all the answers yet. Sure, you don’t know for sure if all na and Eu pvp/pve will all be together yet. I totally get that and I am sure others do as well. you might also not be sure how the pvp/pve will be evenly melded together. all I know right now is that you guys introduced yourselves and said you were going to change something and then an entire cluster got deleted. You said a new map was coming out and gave a snap shot but we don’t know if that is just the prototype or if it is the finished product. if it is a prototype then we know it’s going to be awhile before it is implemented and will ultimately look different in the end. i don’t expect every answer to be given right now because I am pretty sure not you nor I could give all the answers. A tiny update each week would not only be nice but would would go miles towards a good community/dev relationship. if you did that every week and stuck with it, even saying “we don’t have anything new yet” I would get on here and defend you till the end. You need to be smart and give people something to defend. The sad part is some people defend you right now but they just look bad because their isn’t one single thing to defend. Saying “give something a chance” isn’t even a defense if you can’t give a reason for the chance. give people that reason guys. I know you are new, but luckily for you guys the bar is very low. Sometimes all it takes is a “no news” answer and you might get a bunch of new defenders. please do better and please be smarter. I promise you won’t even have to try that hard. I promise.
