    1. Ship-Rear Cosmetics/Skins So we have figureheads, steering wheel skins and soon, sail skins. This might be a large suggestion, but the Brig and Galleons have cosmetic "cabin" styling on the backs of them. I propose new skins be made for the Ship itself that adds cosmetic changes to the back of ships. Maybe dragon heads from the back, working up the side? A skull? Hydra head? Cyclops hands? 2. PvE Servers, Allow Ship Claiming After Inactivity Currently, there is no ship claiming on the PvE servers. I feel like ships should be claimable if the player and/or company has not been online or entered the area within maybe 2 weeks? 1 week? Or simply cause the ship to be "Unclaimed" after 1 or 2 weeks of inactivity. 3. Repair All Structures It would be a tremendous Q.O.L. improvement to allow NPC crew to repair all structures including ceilings, cannons, walls, chairs, e.t.c. when the ship is anchored and the NPCs are unseated. Optionally, create a new structure to be placed on a ship in which you assign an npc crewmate to be in charge of repairing all other misc. structures on the ship. 4. Unseat All Crew I don't know about other players, but when I get off my ship, I unseat at least 4 crew members to ensure my ship's essentials are repaired before the next time I set off. This would be another amazing Q.O.L. improvement for the ship to have an implemented option to unseat all crew. 5. Man Your Stations Add an option to NPC crew on ships that assigns them a specific position on-board. Then add an additional option on-board the ship for assigned crew to "Man Stations." 6. Handling Sail; Reverse Allow Handling Sails to provide faster Reverse speeds. As it stands, ships can currently back up no matter what. If the Ship layout includes a Handling Sail, this ship should reverse slightly faster. 7. Captain's Deck Currently, the Galleon is the only ship that comes with a snap-able slot for a receded Deck to be placed higher up at the back of the ship. I propose another optional Deck slot be added to the back end of Brigantines and Schooners, like the Galleons, for cleaner and more aesthetically pleasing ship designs. (The Brigantine is especially difficult to make the ceilings and walls line up with the back end of the ship.) 8. Careening @mKHammerBro Introduce a new mechanic to ground Ships to scrape and clean the underside of the hull. In the past, this process was called Careening, or Heaving Down. Barnacles and other sea life clings to the underside and rots away at the wood. This could also introduce a new way to repair your ship's planks or add a temporary repair and/or speed buff to your ship. 9. Mooring @ikarirain Introduce a new item to be crafted at Smithy's from the Seamanship tree, Bollard. There are instances where a ship is too large to reach an anchor-able point, so it's been proposed to allow ships the ability to be moored in by ropes to Bollards, which can be placed on piers or shipyards, to safely "anchor" the ship in your territory, given anchoring isn't possible. Additionally, increase the amount of Bollards needed to moor a ship depending on the ship's size and/or weight. 10. Select All or Individual Sail Controls @Shakarian Ability to control all sails from the wheel, or select which individual sails to give certain commands to. For instance, all sails selected by default. But press keys similar to the cannon crews to deselect certain sails. 11. Look-Out / Telescope @Aristocrates It is known that being at the top of a mast gives the player a slightly larger render-distance so they can see ships and such ahead of time, but it would be nicer if there was a Telescope sort of attachment to build on the Smithy that could be attached to the top of the mast, further improving this render distance for preparation or avoidance purposes. 12. Collidable Figureheads @Grodgen Collidable Figureheads: Currently they have no collision. You can't stand on them and it also limits their functionality as actual figureheads. 13. Rotatable Weight & Handling Sails @Kaitlynn Allen Add an option to rotate Weight Sails and Handling Sails 180 degrees when placed, depending on your desired placement at the front or back of the ship. 14. Rigging That Connects The Front Sail To The Figurehead @Kaitlynn Allen Add an option to connect sails via rigging placed at the front of the to the bow sprite/figurehead. 15. Catch Net @RebelMarmoset Add a structure for the front or sides of ships that catches flotsam and/or fish. Consequently, the longer the net is lowered, or the more items it catches, the more it slows the ship down. If you like any of these options, please reply to this thread with your comments and feel free to suggest some more ideas pertaining to ships! And a special thank you to @Jatheish for taking the time to read this! Loving the game.

Oh for god sakes no, the minigames are not a game at all. This I thought would be nice instead of just bouncing off SOTD. There are already the skins, just give them the damage and repair.

Sync zones so the winds is the same across all the zones, with the exception of storms. Sucks to plan a trip across 8 zones, wait for good wind to leave harbor, only to zone to the next grid and the wind is a different direction and low. Give players the ability (on a long cooldown) to change the direction of the wind. a few different ways to do it. 1) a skill to unlock, comes with some type of big penalty. 2) an idol you have to craft or make. takes alot of resources and a one time use. gives a 1 hour debuff that you can not use another one. 3) small alter on the ship and you have to make an offering to the gods. (resources, gold, animals, food, ect). if they accept you can do it, if they dont you get there wrath. could spawn SoTDs all around, spawn storm that's 2x or 3x as strong as normal, lightning bolt kills everyone on your ship, spawns monstrous whale that chase only you . teleports you and ship to a random grid in the game. lots of stuff you happen. you get the idea. How much of a game changer would it be to be able to change wind in pvp...

Did some breeding recently, and man you guys have a thankless job. I think it would be great if they added some cooking recipes that could accelerate some of things you folks do via the troughs. Make them expensive/rare components so they aren't just a straight up gimme, but at least you could get an excuse to get away from your sweatshops, or find someone who likes to do harvesting/cooking to help you out.

So, I start out building usually wood structures. I put down a floor, walls, window walls, door frames, windows, doors, and ceilings. However, after doing so I upgrade to stone structures, which requires me to craft a smithy first. Unfortunately, if I place a bed, camp fire, large storage box, smithy, or any other station on a wood floor, I cannot replace the floor beneath it without having to destroy what's on top of the floor first. I think it's a minor clipping issue. While this isn't a major issue, it's still kind of frustrating to put things down and then have to destroy them when you want to upgrade the floor that their on. Could you please make it easier to replace the floors under a station? Thanks! If only Structures+ would come to Atlas, this wouldn't be an issue (because you can pick things up any time, not just during a short window of time).

Did you no read what he said hes been gaming for 30 years on a pc, whats not to understand>? Hell I have been gaming for that or longer. Dont have to be a douche Jack, as Atlas is more frustrating than ever with all the constant bugs and breaks that affect gameplay,.

If I were making a game, I would prefer the only person not playing my game to give the most advice. Another doomsday post about game population in late summer time, on an game that isn't even released yet. /sigh Another thread where Realist responds to his own posts, multiple times, before anyone else. @Realist Give it up already. You aren't getting factions. Regardless of how much you whine and cry for it. Go play WoW or ESO if you want that BS. They never intended to implement them, they never hinted at adding them, and largely excepting you no one is asking for them. They aren't taking the sand out of the sand box just so you can play cowboy's and indianan's. Also, your reputation sucks. Why even bring it up? Boomer is multiple times your number. Because he makes well thought out posts that contribute to a game he plays (I assume its a "he"). Oh and for the record, I believe you do qualify as an actual "Troll". Possibly one of the biggest of all time. In Internet slang, a troll is a person who starts quarrels or upsets people on the Internet to distract and sow discord by posting inflammatory and digressive, [1] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the intent of provoking readers into displaying emotional responses [2] and normalizing tangential discussion [3] whether for the troll's amusement or a specific gain. - You are a person who constantly upsets people and distracts actual players who are giving real feedback. Arguably in an attempt to sow discord. - You continually go off topic with player count when the opinion of the developer has been explicitly to not care about this statistic. - You repeatedly try to normalize a tangential discussion, in this example, "Factions". Which do not and never have been planned for this game, making it 100% tangential. - You are working towards a specific gain to yourself. In this case, a game exactly tailored for you're personal preferences.

Hey great to have another livestream Some things on my mind maybe you can share some info on some of these: New Ships/Vehicles: An important feature of the game, can you share anything on these no matter how vague at least that some thing will come some time? Crew Functionality: Will crew be able to do more tasks and even on land, maybe guard duty, raising an alarm, maning mining or woodcutter camps and so on? MMO Living World: Will we see something like a living and changing world with some bigger events? Trading: NPC Ports with different prices to allow a trading career when you are not on a server with a functioning player trading network? Quests: Will we see some of the basic MMO stuff to keep players playing? Could be exciting tasks in a dynamic way, collect and deliver certain amount of resources, defend location against npc armada, attack certain npc base or ship, steal special goods from npc ship, base. Progression mechanic: Will you flesh out the progression mechanic to provide some of the basics for an mmo that keep players playing for a long term? Like different xp trees (build ships, become better at building ships, faction relations, expansion of the gold progression and other alternate ways to progress in a permanent way. Survival: Will the survival mechanic(collect resources and survive without a ship) and the gold mechanic(once you have a ship collect gold and buy the basics with it, upgrade ships and buy better ships with gold etc.) be separated to allow for a true survival experience when you dont have access to a ship and thus gold and traders? Water/Air Bases: Will we see under water basebuilding or flying bases/islands Crew Breeding: Any Infos on breeding our own crew? Has that horrendous baby model improved Will we see gradual aging and an expansion to the age slider to allow human npcs to grow up and get old in a normal way and not change from a new born into a random 90year old looking crew like they pop from the shop? Sliders: Will we get a feet height slider? Small Characters with small feet look awkward from the side with their brick feet Will the aging include sliders in the future so old characters shrink a bit and loose muscles for example? Wild Pirate Encampments/Strongholds: Will they just be kill on sight and feature the same wonky respawn mechanic as the treasure maps or will we get a different system for example kill x numbers and they retreat or stop respawning instead of kill all in one go? Will Encampments be peaceful initially and let us trade with them and do they also spawn ports so we can trade with them when we dont want to settle on ever island in single player and dedicated? Keep up the great work

Have you thought of putting a map with pvp and pve areas together like a lot of the private servers have made so that small tribes can enjoy the ship pvp without having their base trashed by the large tribes and have a safe area to relax when they want to just build.

Having to check a baby every 8 hours its unhealthy and unreasonable. Babies die in Stasis AGAIN Animals walk away while mating There's no point in breeding with official settings by yourself... you just can't reasonably and healthfully do it. Nothing in a video game that can be lost in seconds should take DAYS to grow and require more attention than an actual baby animal. NOTHING ABOUT BREEDING ON OFFICIAL SERVERS IS A POSITIVE GAME EXPERIENCE.

Earlier the person stated they've been playing games on PC for 30 years. It's pretty easy to then read the sentence you quoted as being that over 30 years of games that Atlas is counted as one of their absolute favourite games.
  15. 1 point
They never spoke about a game going for 30 years. Instead of trying to bully someone that may not have English as their first language, try using your own brain and simply read what they said and figure it out yourself. It's pretty easy to understand what they were saying when they talked about 30 years.

Use one (or many) handling sail. It changes everything Not an issue at all, you just don't have correct sails and/or doesn't understand the concept of balacing. Change your sails, and test
  17. 1 point
thats because there isnt an issue , largest ship in the game = largest slowest turning circle , u want faster turning use schooner or brig , it gives u choices to make , if all ships were the same then why have different types ,

I agree on all points of op and I would like to see buff for plank hp like serius buff and more damaged states for planks before they go gaboom, like leaking, small holes, large holes, partly ripped off, half ripped off, 3/4 ripped off and then finally destroyed, full water leak after large holes state. And only active repair (and buff for the repair skill) while on sea and passive while ancored.
