  2. You should see the server I'm on, far from dead. I just bumped it in advertisements.
  3. I use my xbox to kill time. I need to kill another 20 years or so and that should be enough. You are correct in that I am not paid. By these developers or anyone else. I am retired and I choose to kill some time being a pirate. So I choose to focus on the positive aspects of the game like the awesome water effects and the feeling of my ship swaying with the tides. This demo is still broken but it has a lot to offer for anyone interested in new adventures. Good enough ? Good.

  6. So I decided to give Atlas another go after not playing since launch. Spent the weekend confined to my island as all the surrounding server islands were down. Spent two solid days building up my base and getting tames. Log in just now and a complete server rollback. That's it for me and this game - the devs here should find a new occupation; complete failure.
  7. I agree with 1,2,3,5,6. But handcuffs are kinky and fun. If I could add suggestions : - I think big companies should have advantages but not allow them to claim multiple islands. I would go so far as to say there is no company out there that needs even one entire island to themselves. - In my opinion they should scrap the entire claim tower system and just let builds happen. And maybe somehow limit the number of structures that can be built per company. Ya ya people use multiple accounts but that happens in every single MMO. - And maybe implement a harbour system at a freeport or somewhere for a daily gold rate so that EVERYONE has a safe place to park a ship. There would be more fun PvP battles at sea if we could just log in, hop on our boats and sail out

  9. If you stick to thr medium or smaller islands you should be fine. My xbox crashes non stop also but only on larger islands. Hope this work around helps you enjoy your game trial a little better.
  10. I play solo on official pvp. So i started a new character on PvP again and it took me 2 weeks to save up enough gold to buy an armored dock. That's not so bad after all and it was an extremely rewarding feeling to finally set it in place. I discovered that solo players and small companies can keep gold and other resource inside shipyards. No one blows up shipyards. They could but it would take a few thousand cannon balls so it is a very viable solution for players like me to get established. Use a sextant and sail around for sunken shipwrecks (sneaking skill makes underwater creatures ignore you). In this way we can all work at our own pace after real life stuff is taken care of. I should add that I live in rookie cove where the abusive claim tower system is not a thing. I recommend PvP if you have a family crew. It is fun and rewarding to knock out a trolling player and stuck his head in a gibbet.
  11. Sounds like a single player bug. You should have a look around for admin comands to check if some of them can force you back into the company. Or they may help you in another way. Single Player is buged and you will lose your stuff regularly due to crashes etc.
  12. You got it. Tickets are automaticaly solved because there is nobody at the end. Timers are bugged since the start of the new lawless claim tower system. Waiting long time for fix of this system(Or it's removal). You should stay away from those islands/grids with claimable lawless...
  13. @Safír unfortunately for you this is a game mechanic that is not working on PVE servers. It's called the "new" improved claim system for lawless. If you settle in this grids you have to claim some area with the land and sea claim tower to protect your settlement. Others can not build in this claimed area but next to it. If they build a claim tower close to yours it's possible the first claim circles size gets reduced... all structures inside change the owner. On PvP Server you can destroy the claim tower but on PVE you can't. If the other did steal your structures or if it's an accident you don't know if you not ask the person who build it. You will not get admin support for this and there is no way to report this. So bad luck for you. I suggest you search for a grid with old lawless where you do not need the claim towers. Africa Region has lots of this. For PVE this Claim System is pretty bad and can be abused against everybody who is new and does not know the mechanic. If you stay there you should claim as much area as possible around your settlement to make sure only you can build there and nobody can steal your structures. It's a great feature for PVE because you get enemy of every one around you instead of meeting nice people/neighbors to interact with in the game. It's even possible to steal others ships.(Or at least is was possible in the beginning of this claim feature -> don't know if they fixed it)
  14. tyvm for implementing the "Tramp Freighter", announced in the last patch notes before this patch, without the 4 cargo containers it is rly fast and i think a lot of people will be happy with it. just in case some new people are reading this and they wanna drop cargo containers you need to put smth into it before you get an option to drop it, and every cargo container gives a 10% debuff on the base speed, so 4 cargo containers on board is 40% debuff, and no if you have only the 4 cargo racks on board (default, without containers) it gives no debuff. this tramp freighter has no modular points and it is not possible to exchange modules because it needs to stay the same at all time, maybe not even 2 points for a diving att. (speed test 4 variants (mixed sails not included): so, with "only speed sails without 4 cargo containers" ofc is the fastest variant, with "only handling sails without 4 cargo containers" it is 4 knots slower, with only "speed sails plus 4 cargo containers" it is almost the same speed as the "only handling without 4 cargo containers" variant which it is just a little slower, and the last variant is "only handling plus 4 cargo containers" that would be the slowest variant with a decent speed 6 knots below the "only handling without 4 cargo" variant, which is also the default tramp freighter you get from the shipyard) (tested within the same conditions on offi, i won't spoiler you the top speed ) (a little bug there aswell if not with all modular ships idk right now but you can sail against the wind with 80% of your "normal" speed, happening to the 4 cargo container variants, so without the cargo containers you can sail against the wind with op speed, obv. its a bug, and the ship is longer at the front than its visuals are indicating, same bug as the COG before last patch) in this version i discovered a few bugs right away after a few minutes so in a few days i guess there will be a patch again, and i hope this time they fix the gamebreaker like not being able to get your animals onto the modular ships, and the market not working, and the bottles with maps giving wrong maps way below the quality it should be, and maybe the shops but it is just the waves or water under it pushing them under the ceilings/floors, a few seasons ago i needed to build my shop 3 walls high to be accessable at all time.. xd)
  15. So here are the test results of the freighter ship speed: 1. The time to sink the ship when climbing the ladder encumbered with 16000 weight is about 60 seconds. So if you want to put resources into two cargos you need to be fast... otherwise this ship will be destroyed *muhahaha* 2. Speed with standard sails 1x large and 1x medium handling is 25 knots at about 70% wind speed -> with speed sails and a storm you may easy get faster than 30 knots. For this speed you need to drop all 4 cargo racks. 3. At 70% wind speed and config above but with all 4 cargos attached your speed will be about 15 knots. 4. With two cargos attached, 70% wind speed and those cargos are full weight you will go about 10-11 knots at a weight of 3550/4000. This pretty insane. YOu can increase the speed a lot if you spent lots of level into weight(each +200) 5. If you have 4 cargos attached and two fully loaded you will have 5 knots speed... so this config should be avoided. So the way to go is drop down two cargos and only use 2 of the 4. Than you have a 4000 weight ship which is much faster with two cargos than a Brigantine. A Galleon should be still faster but once skilled on weight a lot the freighter may gets faster due to it's insane empty speed. As far I tested I can't remove the cargo rack railings and I can't replace them with other railings. It always shows failure: No snap point for [...] So you can't add diving attachment, dingy, cannons, balista or catapult on this ship. If you drop cargos you can place a new one with the "old" cargo rack crafted and having it in your inventory. You can't replace a cargo on the rack with the cargo railing in your inventory. At least refilling the crago does not require anchored in shipyard. Below deck you can place cannon modules up to 4 of them. But standard ship has 10/12 module points. So If you place double cannon module it requires 1 additional point which means you can place two of those. Single gun ports require 3 points so you can't place those. Rowing oars showing attachable and require one point but i was not able to place them... they simply do not get attached. Biggest issue of this ship is like all modular ships a totaly bad turning speed. But good to know the handling sails bug is working. So if ship speed is 0 knots you fully turn the rudder and than hit keys "W" and command "fast sails down" at the same time and hold them. Ship speed will stay at 0 but you can turn faster. Be warned once you release one of the keys your sails are fully open and ship will start moving forward fast... some lost their ships by accident using this... Second biggest issue: Did I mention repair kits costs are way to high and the system of looking 5 seconds on that module to restore some HP is just silly. For the Devs(if this feedback raches you): I don't understand the new ship speeds at all... I mean it was fun to have the bug with invincible 50 knots sloops that couldn't turn at beginning of season 5... but now all modular ships get speed of 25-35 knots??????????
  16. Alright, so traditionally something is broken : )) - Bottles. Some of them are leading to Rocky Cove (U know that we can't go there with ship, tame, or anything in inventory, including map, right?) I've got at C11 a purple lvl 7.0 bottle. After I gathered it - it gave me lvl 1.5 map leads to rocky cove. - Trading. I receive alot of logs about complete trading. Some companies shows that we have like 1800 ships running. But I don't receive any wares or gold anymore. Some say they stopped trading, just in case, waiting for it to be fixed. ---------- Oh... yeah, and this Wonder stuff is for Megas right? Lone wolves should never bother...
  17. An Interesting news with a lot of tiny bug fixes that got addressed. Also it has to be mentioned that this is a very fast patch release after the last December update considering the christmas and new year holidays. Stun changes should be a god thing, Silo change is very welcome. Some other stuff like double tax banks on sea forts shall be adressed. Well we will see if bed teleport in crouched position is now possible. Difficult to try it as you are so common now with avoiding this bug and never crouch near a bed^^ The grill is quite a shame that you need to skill so much cooking to unlock it. I am now Level 76 on PVE and I don't want to spend any points on this. I wonder if the grill will have instant water refill now when connected to a water pipe? I remember in the past this was possible and great to make colors... and i hate when it got changed to refill in like 20 minutes to make 3 more colors again... Wonder final release: Decoyy made a video building the wonder in single Player to test it. Results from the official server will not be available for some weeks because of the time restriction. Also it has to be questioned if Players will try to build the wonder for just 20 fortitude? I mean there is no ingame statistics or rankings for Top Players or Companys. Who has the most Players, who sunk the most enemy ships or killed most enemy Players, who's wealth is the biggest, who build the wonder and who owns it. Simple things to compare and even see who is all around the Atlas besides the Player interaction if they meet others while playing. 20 fortitude is useless with the current skill that nobody skills because HP>Stamina>Weight are more important. The meta is to ignore vitamines and simply die and respawn. 20 Fortitude also do not have any influence on stun durations(torpor) or resistance versus poison. You have to transport the resources for building to the wonder island which is good, but not a worth PvP loot probably. I wonder if any PvP Player will be out there with a combat fleet to stop other companys resource delivery... or if those who try building will protect their transport ship with a fleet. I am settling in Africa one grid next to the wonder island but i don't have the required resources and will not farm it myself just to test the building.... also why stage 5 only requires "2" mythos? Just for the giggles? market + trading + gathering The patch release stopped 60% of my gathering buildings. This is annoying because they all had the bugged fuel comsumption that occurs after server restarts... now i have to refill fuel until it gets bugged again. (oh i should get banned for using an bug that automatically occurs?) The bigger issue is the market and trading does not work anymore on the PVE Server at least. I have 1000+ open trades now to all my trade partners that will not be delivered. Every minute there will be added one additional trade. To solve this i probably have to delete the market and hope to find new trade partners again who did the same with their market. Soon we will not be able to enter the server because of upcomming "reliable buffer overflow" issue again. Also the market interface needs an update. Add an option to sort listed markets according their grid or distance or their status accepted/canceled/rejected. Or add a function to move a market to the top of the list to have better overview about your accepted trades. Also make a possibility to reactivate canceled or rejected routes or to delete them from the list to add other markets if you passed the 100 requests. Markets also do not show you that you can only accept 5 trade routes max if not other players accept your request - than you can have more. the tramp freighter new beginner ship. I like the idea of a early available freighter besides all modular ships are simply the same model with more or less modules in the center. It has standard ~220/4000 weight with the large and medium sail include. So this ship is one module longer than the Cog that has only 1 small sail but the Cog can carry 9000 weight but no cargos. The freighter has 4 cargos. Each can carry 8000 weight reducing it by factor 5 to 1600 weight. So in best case you can use 1 or 2 cargos to possibly reduce your speed to ~0? I will test the speed this evening just for the fun. I don't remeber correctly but each attached cargo usually reduces the speed by 10-20% + additional the weight put inside. I wonder if the ship will drive 20 knots backwards if i load all cargos to max... or if it will sink immediatly. Pretty exited about this test. I wonder if the Devs realize that you can actualy build this ship with the same amount of wood for 5x repair kits... you know this kits you need to repair a damaged module for 5 seconds restoring 1500 HP.... Edit: Why do the latest patch notes do not show up in the Forum under topic Announcements? You can only find the discussion of this patch if you hit "home" to see the latest patches... also I can't react to other post in this "not existing topic"?

  19. Yeah that's pretty useless. The mechanic is completely broken. Anything done to mitigate heat does not work. Devs should be working on dealing with all the stability issues instead of releasing new things to build.
  20. Black wood map is not finished and not developed by the old Devs. They bought this map from some external map designer unfinished and did nothing to it since than.(2-3 years now lol) You may can play there but you have to expect bugs and crashes all over. You should have the admin commands ready to cheat.
  21. This loading issues is new for me. Usually the loading stucks at Primal_Game_Data_BP... if you get past it to Ocean16 you are usually fine and getting into the game. Is this before you create your pathfinder? Or you have already a Pathfinder and it crashed in game? You may not use the "rejoin" function and go to manual server join. You can join any rookie cave server and it will redirect you to the server where you crashed. I had long time issues with maybe my internet provider, i was only able to log in on official servers if I used a VPN connection. After i changed my home and have now a different provider I don't need this trick anymore, some think it could also be an issue if you use WLAN. I use WLAN and most time it works... maybe the VPN changes this as well as windows than shows wire connection instead. If you have low memory <=8gb(old or low budget PC) you should use the low memory mode in steam or maybe delete the loading screen movie somewhere in the safe folders. Atlas is purely optimized and you need a quite decent PC to play it. You can repair your game data via steam. If this does not work you may delete some files to let the repair start the download again. Check if you can join single player server? Than test official PVE and PvP and maybe some private server. It can be issues that occure only on official Atlas servers(like my VPN - Primal Game Data BP issue - sometimes on PVE server, always on PvP for example)
  22. There's an old saying, your friend is the one that WILL tell you when you've got a problem. Early access should not be used as a never ending excuse to slack off on your commitments. Atlas imo started well and got better for a while, then completely lost its navigation. A lot of us critics on here have stood by the game since the beginning, and yeh there was no need for the personal abuse that the devs got at the start, or even now. But criticism about a game, especially on a forum dedicated to feedback, should be expected and taken seriously.
  23. That should be a red flag for you buddy. You still have time for the refund. If you wait then you won’t be able to. That will be a reoccurring thing as well as many other bugs. There is a reason hardly anybody plays it anymore.
  24. Yeah you never should have left sea of thieves lol. Especially is you are brand new to atlas. You will always be behind the curve and you will never succeed. Pvp or pve lol
  25. Do you mean a solo player can't have an island? A solo player really shouldn't have a full island. But you can/should claim a section of beach to build a base on. As far as a new player... the servers were just wiped, we are all new players starting out fresh. If you are saying you can't find a section of beach to claim... you're just not looking because the islands are not full. However, Atlas can be hard from a knowledge point of view if you're just starting out. True! Knowledge is power here. What is possible... running solo, since the wipe, I've built a gally, brig, 2 bases, 2 markets, a few bears, and have +100k gold. Point being it not about what's possible. Xbox? Don't know anything about Xbox. Atlas is running great for a change on PC. No long load times, no crashing, no losing bears crossing grid, little to no lag. I've never seen Atlas run so good. Wow! Did I really just say that? Maybe the new replacement devs are better than the old ones. Now if they stop with the cats in hats and make content people really want.... P.s. Yes, the old boat are 5 times more data heavy but the new ships suck 5 times harder. I don't want one. Just my opinion. P.s. And the ship pay wall just moved the cost from one place to another. You need the ship to make the money... need the money to make the ship. Or, do lots of un-fun grinding. It's like the chicken and the egg with neither coming first. Free may not be right. I don't want to see 100s of parked boats again. Maybe 1k Sch. 5k Brig, 20k Gally.
