  1. Ahoy Pathfinders! With summer winding down, we have a new season to look forward to. A new season of ATLAS that is! Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to patch day! Upcoming Wipe The final day of the season will be Wednesday September 21st when we will be wiping both official servers for a fresh start. Servers are expected to go down at 7PM PDT and should be back up within a few hours. Unofficial servers are not expected to need to wipe at this time. A dedicated Kraken Bowl grid will be accessible September 14th - September 21st, so grab your crew and send this season off with a bang! To reach the Kraken Bowl, sail out from Tortuga in any direction across the grid line. PvE players should be particularly cautious, as the zone is PvP enabled for all who enter. We hope you’ll continue the journey with us as we make our way closer to exiting early access. Thank you for your support and happy sailing! Here’s a sneak peek at some changes headed our way! Live Dev Q&A Come meet the ATLAS Senior Game Designer and the Community Manager on September 15th at 12:00 PM PDT in our discord Stage voice channel!   4. New guy here but used to play a loooot of Ark. Firstly, is the 5x a temporary promotion or more permanent feature? Second I wanted to get some idea of how long it should take a solo person to make a brig in these conditions. If it's worth farming for such a ship or stick to sloop? Thanks!
  5. I'm not against the idea of adjusting company mechanics but nothing you said here is accurate. Megas aren't content gating smaller companies. Megas don't have magical exploits to level cap faster than others. This game was designed around the concept of large companies existing (in addition to smaller ones). Every issue you listed here has nothing to do with megas existing and everything to do with poor game design and an incredibly high knowledge barrier for entry. Also, the whole concept of a "mega" is completely relative. In season 1, megas had a thousand members. In season 9 now, people call companies with 30 players a mega. Because if you're in a small 3 man company, 30 players is an overwhelming force to deal with. So anyone who complains about "megas" at this stage in the game is naive. Or simply bad and unwilling to learn. Or all three. No one is preventing people from farming the maw; even when we had 10+ boats in the maw earlier in the season we would still see small, never-before-seen companies doing their own thing in there. If you're expecting to do content at any time of day with zero resistance, it sounds like you should check out the PvE server. The whole concept of a survival PvP game is that when you go out into the wild, you're risking your stuff. The only company getting content gated this season is Molon Labe.

  7. Try: cheat ssf sub Should spawn the sub and make you control it. Once we leave the seat though we do need the skill "explore the Depths" to get back navigate the sub. I used the Admin Menu to give myself Creative mode.(Unlocks all quest skills) After that I could control the sub at will. cheat showmyadminmanager You might want some mythos to power the sub: cheat GFI MagicMarrow 500 0 0
  8. Hello Dev's! I'm Official PVE most the time and found a few bugs and things that could use a good look over. First off I wanted to thank you all for your hard work and dedication to fixing and making this game more enjoyable to players like my self. P.S love this game! Bugs I and others in our group and not in our group have found over time. 1. Animals moving all over the Brig and Gal's/Ships while sailing, they move so much i cant fully walk around the ship without bumping into invisible animals, and on the gal's they keep falling off 2. When Claiming an animal with anything other then a normal saddle the animal become untradeable and unusable, can't remove the saddle and can't use it. 3. Cant Whistle to cats. 4. At this time Saddles keep vanishing some still look like they have a saddle some are fine and some just Poof away. Things that could use improvement: 1. When its time to sail and you lift anchor on a nice day Fog/Rain is always triggered. 2. When building Ships PVE Crew don't fix ceilings, wall's, sails, roofs on the ships. 3. After adding ceilings, wall's, sails, roofs on the ships. Crew don't fix them, we need them to fix those items too. 4. Wild untamed Animals wondering always get in front of me while i'm working they seam to want to get in the way a lot. If this is a thing please turn it off. 5. When its time to sail and you lift anchor on a nice day Fog/Rain is always triggered. Can this not happen. (Its Better but still a thing) 6. Cyclones/Twisters follow unanchored ships like its alive, would be better if they didn't and moved more unaware of us and we had enough time to move from them like in real life, you see it and we can plan ahead, like add them to the map so we can all see them ahead of time. 7. Ships of the damned gold loot is so low. Can we have more gold for killing them? Right now they are more of an annoyance to players and are not profitable so no one wants to hunt them unless they need npc's or sail patterns, or are trying to lvl a ship. 8. Can you make the shovel work to flatten terrain for build purposes? 9. Add more content like decorations for in and out side of builds, And Dock decorations like small lights and rope, rope ties. 10. Lanterns don't last very long, can you prolong the light? If we can add Oils in a slot in the lanterns and it keeps them on to the oil is gone would be great! or never run out? 11. More outfits, weapon decorations to add to the existing ones more then we currently have at our freeports now. 12. A large cage or small, medium, large cage to lock up animals/NPC's for sales. Like i add the claimed animal to it and add a price to the cage and a note so others know the stats of that animal. Then when someone wants it they can buy it and the cage opens animal claimed to new owner and it holds the gold till i come to collect it, and refill it with an animal of my choice kinda like the shops now only animals. 13. Please add so on the animals their is at tab on the spin wheel we can add allow Alliance to use on and off option. 14. Please add so on the beds we can also open the spin wheel so we can add allow Alliance to use on and off option. 15. May we have a Cargo box to snap to the ships to store animals in on Brigantine and Galleons. 16. Can we have the silos feed the Mesh tables and Feeding troughs. 17. Allow us to add Veggies from our inventory into the feeding Trough with the Arrow to cap all the Veggies already in the feeding Trough at 100, Makes sense right. 18. Allow us to choose the amount to remove from our Munitions Storage, Right now we have to pull out ALL our cannonballs and other ammo before we can change the amount making us over weight and then we have to put it all back in the Munitions Storage beside the amount we want to keep out for the ammo container. 19. Allow us to choose the amount of resources to remove from the Ship Resource Box/Captions chest. 20. PLEASE give me a way to Stop Pooping! Should only poop when i click on Force poop not all the damn time! I'm like Hey how are you doing to a person and Out of no place I poop then they poop.. in RL if i need to poop i push it out. try talking to people and i poop then they poop come on Im not an old fart that needs dippers here! lol What gives! 21. Can we have fertilizer stack? 22. Can you make the Silo so it collects the Veggies and other farmed Crops we grow? or add a building that farms the plots for us or an npc or something? 23. Cyclones should not follow ships around like they are alive but they should act more on the server side not self aware of players.

In order to not necessarily build on the islands, we have placed a raft on such an island. After some disagreements with the island owners, they installed our raft with walls and lions on it to destroy the structures. The question is, is this how the content should look in this game for those who don't have a Lava Pit island? If so, then I don't see a future in this game. I do not assume that the company gets annoyed because that here anyway no itches, let alone that someone let here. So as a tip to all others The company Reaper on M 10 does not want you to spawn there, build or park because that is all their property. So it was said in game. Have fun you still

After some disagreements with the island owners, they installed our raft with walls and lions on it to destroy the structures. The question is, is this how the content should look in this game for those who don't have a Lava Pit island? If so, then I don't see a future in this game. I do not assume that the company gets annoyed because that here anyway no itches, let alone that someone let here.   12. So, hear me out. This idea will revolutionize this game and breath new life into it(and likely a big fat healthy playerbase). I'm no game dev but seeing as a large percentage of other games have implemented something similar, it really shouldn't be to hard to do for our wonderful dev team. I know, I can hear some you whiny players now "we don't want to be like other games, wah! Atlas is fine the way it is, wah! You should just go play fortnight, wah!" Well suck it up crybabies! If you want a successful game and a heathy playerbase, Atlas is going to need this fresh new concept. "Fresh" and "new" to Atlas ofcourse. Many if not all of the most succesfull games on all platforms impliment this radical idea in some way and 100% owe their place on the gaming podium to it. I know it may just be my opinion, but there is data to support that this will vasty improve all aspects of the game experience for both PvE and PvP. That's the best part! It's for everyone! I'm actually quite surprised the dev team haven't even thought of it yet, thier going to feel so dumb when they realize how this simple idea could have made this game so successful if they had just thought of it and implemented it earlier on. Ready to have your mind blown and change the world of Atlas forever!!??...Fix it. Like, make the fucking game work. Stop focusing effort into shinny bits and bobbles. Fix what is there before adding more broken shit to ignore. I know, I know. The devs have their excuses, "Early access!" "no game is bug free." "I like the heat up poptarts in my underwear.". But the truth of the matter is crashes, piss poor mechanics, lazy workarounds, and gross oversite eventually kill the game for players. Adding more broken content to a game that is dying off mostly because much of it is broken is like buying a lifetime pass to Disney World for a kid with terminal cancer. TL:DR blah blah, the devs are fuckwits and poptarts are better at body temp.
  13. you folks never learn. now instead of 50 ships camped outside of the fountain of youth golden age islands, you have them all camped out off the coast of your lava and steam vents. well done. you threaten to ban folks that wall them off but then dont provide enough generation speed of resources for folks to be able to get anywhere. i agree walling them off should be a banning offense but you need to make these nodes either move around to each and every island on the servers or increase the number of them. or increase the speed at which they generate. right now all you have is fleets of ships parked off each and every coast where a vent is located.

There should be an option in the company group settings to allow members of that group to change the company access/activation levels of doors. crafting stations, chests etc. to a level equal or lower than their own IF the activation level of said object is lower or equal to theirs. It would be even better if it was possible to set a range in the company group settings within which they can change it e.g. a member that has access rank 5 and the changing range 5-3 would be able to change the access level of all objects with an activation level lower or equal to said members activation rank to access level 5, 4 and 3 but not lower. At the moment the problem is that members can not change the default access/activation level (as set in the group settings) of any object not even of their own stuff e.g. if they want to make something accessible for lower ranks they always need to call an admin to do it and the same thing applies if they want to raise the access/activation level of their stuff e.g. after they got a promotion to keep lower ranks from accessing their stuff they again have to call an admin to do it. The only available solution at the moment is either for the admin(s) to run around all day changing the access and activation levels to the members request or to make everyone an admin but in that case it is pointless to set any access or activation levels because they do not apply to admins (which is generally good and useful but does not help in this case).
  15. The amount of time and effort people waste due to bug/glitches, server crash, and asinine mechanics should be embarrassing for any dev. The community deserves better than a group of cut rate copy paste charlatans.
  16. It does not seem possible for the dev team to fix anything related to balancing the game. Out of a list of a 100 items added a minor issue may be changed or resolved often going to one end of the extream or the other or so small that it doesn't matter. Such as ship speed. Why they added all these portals, because only the no life trolls that will be on the PTR for 30 hrs before a wipe will know how to get to any islands. Then a map will be released 2-3 days later when all the islands have been taken. I cannot fight a bunch of crabs. I cannot fight 5 broadsiders showing up to take out my armored docks. Love the game, but have never seen an intentional display of segregation in what should be a fair for all fun, survival pirate experience. In no reality should a game consist of having to be on for many hours to accompish something. And before anyone judges, single player, pve or just join a mega is not a solution. If the devs (grapshot) cannot see this as a problem, then any sane person would and should boycott them and anything attached to them. I can handle bugs. Game breaking bugs should be fixing before introducing more content producing more bugs. And their total disregard for thier playerbase is abysmal. You cannot have a game that is pvp (which is competitive) have all the advantages swung in certain players direction and have most of the servers offline for a week and think thats ok to just keep it going. Each year goes by with population getting cut to the point they even have to merge pvp servers just to keep it alive. What could be an epic game that would deserve a sequal just like Ark survival evolved with a playerbase for years to come. I predict this to be more of just a fad, many will buy and it will die just the same. Why because the devs will get their money, its nothing special to them. It is just another project. If the devs care so little. Why should we? Do they deserve more of our money?
  17. Unfortunately you started at a time where the last patch added a big bug that is very anoying in regards to sailing. Hopefully it gets (hot/colt)fixed during this week... But I agree at this stage it is not nice to invite people to the game... if the game is sold for 5-10€(steam summer sale comming) you might just do so. You can solve the issue currently if you dismount the sails crew before grid change and open one sail yourself to get in the other grid. The chance is 99% that you will not loose a crew on sails if you put them on after grid change. The issue is most likely a buged crew position after the grid change if they remain on the sails that maybe leats to mutiny. @Dev CrusherI don't want to protect the game but some of your listed bugs are not that importand in my opinion, but of course they should be fixed long time ago. The game is playable in most cases and you can have fun for 1k hours very easy without finishing the main quest(if you can call it like this to get all power stones and essences without a story). So it is worth a part of it's money and compared lots of AAA titles have less than 100 hours to play. In all the time I play(since season 3 where the first Devs had left already) i had never the feeling the game is changing or improving, but now we have actually Devs that work on the game. They could do better but they do something at least. So they get my support after i deleted the game twice in the last years. Most important is to make the modular ships playable and more like the legacy once.(they will not remove the modulars anyways) They fixed the bug that sunk the modulars when loosing one/two modules to 0 HP with start of this season so they are playable now. They increased the repair kit HP which is some kind of improvement for solo PVE and on PvP maybe even broken repair now? The repair kits cost are reduced but still high, on the other hand the ships have very low costs in regards of resources neede to craft them. The modulars are still faster... the Broadsider is very very strong right now with its 40 cannons and possibility to make it 30 to one side. The modulars are ignoring the ship weight in regards to their speed... which makes them broken again. There has to be done some balancing and the possibility to customize needs to be added. The Majestic Kraken and Crarak are most likely obsolete as the broadsider is the same ship but better in everything without the need of 50 tentacles for example. Those ship should have some more difference or the fire power of the broadsider would need some downsides -> less cannons = faster, full cannon build = slower.... they need to get slower when gun ports are open. The deck canons need to have increased weight or reduce the turning speed slightly because of the high center of weight that is bad for a sailing ship^^. The HP icon is remaining at 100% until the sinking/leaking symbol shows. The HP in the players/ships UI stay at 100% as well if the ship is leaking... so you don't know when 0 is reached and it will sink while you repair or bucket the water out.
  18. for the second time i have lost a ship because your game DOESNT WORK BY ITS OWN RULES!!!!!!!! The only thing you got right was ship damage and taking damage... your repair skills do not work at all even though i have great repair skills the do not reflect in game at all nor does broken planks clear in time as per skill points dictate they should. nor do crew operate the way the should ss per skills dictate... fix it!!!!
  19. Yeah, the NPC thing is an awful bug. I *sort of* understand the reasoning behind the portal concept but I don't like it mostly for immersion reasons. Magical portals shouldn't be a common occurrence for travel. They should be a rare, special part of the game. Atlas needs some proper leadership. They could have a killer game, but squander it away with piss-poor decisions and horrible QA. I wish they would sell this game to someone else to finish, or I wish someone else would come up with a open world survival pirate game. Sadly and ironically this game resembles a sinking ship. It's going to take a lot to turn it around and restore player's faith in its development.

This game needs some serious claim adjustments... there should be land enough for everyone with the amount of islands there are in atlas.. yet there are entire islands locked down by claim towers that have 5 or fewer members and no limits in place as to how many claim towers someone can place.. this needs to be limited and should be limited to how man people are in the company. as things stand right now the systems in place are crudely unfair and full of toxic people exploiting them.
  21. You should be able to respec once per level. If you have already done it this level then you should not be able click the button again. I'm not sure if this is your problem or not, I could be stating the obvious for some people.
  22. You can have hopes for the future but I would never recommend playing single player or dedicated hosted server... it is buged and you should play on the official servers instead. Yes, that has also some issues but at least it is working mostly well.
  23. It's crazy how many bugs get back into this game that we had already at some time in the last 3 years. But the chance it will be fixed was never that high because we know there are now Devs around that actually work on this game... the tiems have changed. They broke something but I expect they will fix it and the game will get better in the end. Fast travel beds into different biomes makes you 100 years old. To make suicide solves this issue and you are back to normal. Market trading was suspended for 2-3 days because of server issues but is now working again. I see no issues there besides the bad UI of market, some trade routes that have 100+ running trades that don't get delivered and some other bugs in this system. The warehouse only collects 1 stack or resources from gathering buildings if the resource is not traded and due to that new stacks are created. So you have to check daily and drop some items to put in another storage. Maps are a luck gamble as they have ever been. I had a map 3k+ that was in a swamp under water and there was no soldiers spawning. But i could not dig it as there should be 6 guards around... in the meantime looking around my bear magically died in 10 seconds... he was not under water but out of stamina and i couldn't get him 10 meters to the shore... Also maps in mountains are quite common. sailing is qurrently a pain... i think on modulars it's much worse than on legacy ships. You loose sails crew more often(while crossing, while driving). Checking all tames and crews after border cross was never that anoying like it is now. I figured out moving slowly into the border is preventing issues behind it... for example if you stop directly you can pick up swimming crew and tames again instead of missing them later. You may even consider dismounting all sails crews from parked ships.
  24. So, after longer time i have testet Atlas for a while, after this new Season was started. And what I see is what I expectet and even worse. Bugs Bugs Bugs - everywhere I look around. Its practically absolutely unplayable. In the early past of the game we have arranged with it - EA Game, and the trust in the devs. Today there is no trust anymore. They showed us and the hole world, they have no interest and no ability. I play with some guys, one bought a brandnew Gaming-Laptop. Played some Games with it without any problems, than Atlas - Bluescreen. He dont play that trash anymore - little bit of quality is basic requirement in a game. It must be clear, that it seems that you can destroy your hardware with this, what they call a game. Other one, played Atlas a while - crash - now he cant start the game anymore, always freeze and crash. So repaired, reinstalled, driver update, tried the few tips and tricks from the community - nothing. Also unplayable for him - so he also dont play because he cant anymore. Trash So I am not sure what the devs are here doing - there seems to be no love, no enthusiasm, no ambition for their work. Is this the way devs are working? I really dont think so - look around how others do, you will find shortly the difference like the difference of day and night. In Steam you can read "From the creators of ARK: Survival Evolved comes ATLAS". Really? So, have you ever played Ark? Its not everybodys type of game, but have! you! ever! played!, just for interest? Sorry, but this what we have here in Atlas is not from the creators of Ark - never ever. Atlas is Trash. The difference is exactly what i wrote above: love, enthusiasm, ambition to what they do and what they want to reach. Look also around to other games - often exactly the same. Not everywhere, but its not nearly as bad like in Atlas. Seems the devs gave up the game long time ago and nothing will change anymore. But why? Why dont leave up this trash to someone who likes to do it really right? Money? Im sure, there are lots of people that like the game - how it should be, not as trashy its now - that also have the skills and opportunities and want to put their heart and soul in it to make it to a very great game. Things and skills, the current devs obviously cant understand and dont have. We, the players - your customers that payed money for this - maybe have to boycott the game completely. In Steam this trash still costs 25€ (converted around 26$) - absolutely insolence. With the knowledge of today its not worth a single cent for me - I didn't even want it as a gift. Im just glad Grapeshot doesn't build cars - never ever again a Game from this bunglers.
  25. Hello all, I have seen ships with triangular sails and while they are sailing, the boom is on the opposite direction of what it should be. For example, if I am heading N, and the wind comes from the W, the boom should be on my starboard side. I understand that this is not a sailing simulator, but still, it is kind of awkward.
