I left the game early on also, I just got fed up of people spamming flags on every pieces of land. It turned alot of people away from the game. Now they have changed the system we are coming back to play, many people are coming back and it should be more fun. We are happy with how they have changed it also but I can understand people will try to get islands for themselves also. I have found there is more bad people in the game than good for sure, we can only try and see how it turns out but we are willing to give it another try.

Well at least we now know, I think we all expected some delays I just hope it is sooner rather than later. We are all waiting to get back into the game, they should just announce it when it's ready to stop this hype.

I've only seen one active moderator on these forums who seems to be fair. I don't think the forums is that active to be moderated heavily although the downside to that is you get people who want to spam or cry over the game while it is quite.

I left the game early on but I am prepared to come back to it with some friends now they have changed everything. It seems people on here did not read before they bought the game, you are testing the game for these developers, I find it funny how people criticise and get angry about a server wipe. From reading comments it seems some people think they are above everyone else, everyone has the right to post on these forums. It's a recurring theme from the same people, sometimes I question whether they are here for the game or just the attention, only they know.

Why are you spamming the forums with all capitals?

People ignoring the facts straight from the person on the team, what more do they want? Until jat says otherwise i will believe the stream more than "know it all" people on here.

I remember early on when I used to play Atlas you could form alliance with another company, I hear they have taken this away from the game now is this correct? What are the changes to allow another company team up with you without leaving your own company? I was thinking I won't be able to get on other companies ships. I think they should have left this feature in the game, I don't know if there is another way to help each other though without the alliance. I really hope they decide against taking this out for pve because it will stop alot of interactions with another company or your fellow neighbour.

I stopped playing also early on until they changed their claim system, now they have I'm prepared to give it another go. I have no intention of playing until they wipe the servers, I'd presume most people think the same way unless they are die hard fans of Atlas who aren't bothered about losing their stuff.

If this is going down the route of landlord owning the island and dictating what you can and can't do with demolishing at any given notice then they want to be very very careful as there is a saying "don't bite the hand that feeds you" They will soon realise that they have upset most of the island and will turn on him/her and be left with nothing themselves. I don't like the sound of this system though, it's sounding more and more like pvp but I can see that happening. I left the game early on because of the claim system, I will do the same again if it turns out how people are describing with landords turfing you out.

Wow, this is really an eye opener for me. You would never expect a member of the team to endorse trolling or exploiting. This now explains alot to me why they have ignored cheaters and exploiters. I have to say i have no faith in this team at all if this is their views. Very disappointed to see this, was abit deflating to be honest.

Is that true that devs are posting trolling videos? These include exploits? If so that would be very damaging for them and worrying at the same time. I've always played pve, I never play pvp either, it's not my thing really. If the devs are posting troll videos that does not bode well for the game and tells you everything you need to know. Is there any links to these videos?

I'm in the same boat (excuse the pun) I stopped playing near the beginning when I sailed to go through alot of grids coming up against big red circles on the map, there was just no land. I don't have time to run in every grid looking for a small pokey piece of land, I'm a busy man. Me and people I know are coming back into the game now they are changing this, I expect to see alot more people now land is available again.

Well I don't see that lasting long to be honest. They have already said they are listening and looking at ways around it which is why I was talking about a number of claims per person. You are presuming the current system will role out, they have a chance to tweak that system yet, nothing is certain. With people unhappy about it I'd be very surprised to see it stay long term. They will more than likely revert to a certain number of flags per person.

I don't build very big bases so 1 claim flag is enough for me. The trouble is where can I build my ships? You just know the first thing someone is going to do when they reach land is put the flag down on the shoreline, because you have to to build your ships unless they will allow everyone to build outside the claims which would be pointless. You'll have everyone clustered together around the shore and a big empty island. I don't disagree with having more flags, it was the manner they were given to you, unlimited flags right from the beginning. If they made you work hard for those flags by acquiring alot of gold then I would have no problem with that but they must cap the flags off at a certain number and not let it run into hundreds of claim flags. I am preparing myself to see coastlines cluttered though, you can see it coming. Can you imagine building a base first and have nowhere to build you ships? I'd be very angry if that was the case and would have to move to another empty island. I hope they've thought these things through.

I always hated those mini games when I played, I didn't see the point in doing that for water, reloading guns etc. The game would run better without those things and just use the buttons to reload. Personally I think they ruined the experience putting that idea in there.

I'm not afraid to say I'm not a PVP person, I prefer PVE myself. You are certainly right, I can't hack it in PVP but I play what I enjoy like everyone else. If people enjoy PVP that's fine, everyone has their own style of play. I have not played Atlas for awhile, I was waiting for the update and the claim flag system to be changed. Hopefully Atlas won't be "dying".

Changing the way claim flags work in PVE is the best decision they've made so far. If they had done that near the start they wouldn't have lost so many people looking for land and frustrated seeing every island covered in red circles. The game has been thrown to one side until they fixed it, hopefully they will so we can all come back again otherwise it will be back on the shelf collecting dust.

That's one of the reason we left the game, there is just to many claim flags that each person has right now. I haven't played for quite awhile but I am certainly looking forward to coming back along with my friends, if they do drop their ideas of keeping the claim flags. So many left near the beginning, I think those will start to come back if they changed the way claim flags worked.

I hope and pray I don't come back to the game blocked in on an island. How will the shipyards work if you only have 1 flag? You would have to put it near sea to build shipyard but everyone is just going to plant their flags around the shore and nobody will be able to build a shipyard for their ships. People will be forced to leave the game yet again, do not allow flags on the shore, only allow them inland. I don't know, there is so many problems and when you solve one another 3 pop up, I get the pain the team are having right now.

I was one of the ones to leave before this news and I am one of the ones coming back after the wipe. People will come and go over the course of the game development. The people now who don't like the new claim system, some will remain and get on with it and some will just put it to one side like I did early on and then come back when it changes again down the road.
