  1. My old company had a base near you on N12. They quit because an alligator ate our galleon. I quit the company when I figured out no one was going to be playing with me anymore.
  2. There is a group on A11 who is pretty close to pulling this kind of crap because they hate people using gates for walls. I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't sunk a few ships through exploits seeing as being a douche is in their names.
  3. Taxes are fine, but I really like the idea about adding an upkeep cost to the bank and flags. It's a pretty boring system without any kind of upkeep to it.
  4. I'm glad I'm not the only one who does this. Just seems easier to get everything together first, craft it all at once, then plop down the shipyard, the skeleton, build the boat and move on. I've gone further with this several times by removing the shipyard when I'm done.
  5. Yeah, I just copied/pasted it into a post on there. I almost want to get someone to build a raft, and I build a ramshackle sloop just to watch it go flying. Of course, to do this I will have to name the ship the dutchman. you know, because then it would be the flying dutchman. So... ran onto a dock then jumped off and didn't jump far enough, landed on a raft going pretty fast and slid right off of it. It seems this form of protection works if there is enough speed to slide you off the raft. I'm not exactly eager to test this with a larger boat.
  6. Didn't check patch notes, was going to claim an abandoned raft to replace mine that was stuck, ended up punching the air like I was in a rave for 5 minutes to kill myself. Go to reclaim my body, ran across a shipyard and didn't notice that someone built ceilings out to the side of their schooner and stepped on it... another 5 minutes of glow stick and ecstasy infused fun... yeah... this fix kinda sucks. It should just be a setting for the boat that ejects passengers if the boat is set to company/ally only. Now we have people griefing using rafts to send ships flying... Yeah, this fix doesn't solve the problem, it just diverted it to another method of griefing

  8. There are vendors in the freeports that sell resources for gold and resources.
  9. Grapeshot has already made their money off of them. The game isn't legal in china as it stands and afaik it hasn't actually been released in china. I've been told by some chinese that they have to use a vpn to buy and play the game. This is further supported by the fact that we don't see servers for SEA. I still haven't gotten an answer from any of them as to why they bother playing the NA server. I imagine the ping would be better on the EU servers for them.
  10. They may not all be exaggerating since all enemy claims show as red blobs. The ranking system is kinda stupid. They should probably remove sea claims and create a check on claim flags that only allow them within a certain distance of land. That would probably more accurately show what company has the most land in the ranking in both pvp and pve. Doesn't solve all the land being claimed, but it would make the rankings more accurate.
  11. In addition to the current system I'd like to see repairs needed for claim flags. Spend resources to actually restore the protection timer. Everything else needs some upkeep, might as well add the flags too.
  12. Yeah, if you didn't pin code them then you're at just as much fault as the others.
  13. I fixed this issue by putting up my map then using left click to target an empty spot then let it sit and when the camera returns to normal boat view it's fixed.
  14. Viking beard and hair style... I want. Looks good and would be pretty fitting for the setting.
  15. same, couldn't get my raft to turn and got stuck in the side of a ship yard and an awkward angle. Can't get it to turn.
  16. I don't think they should nerf the fire arrows and make them not burn ships, but they should add a way to put out the fires they start as a defense.
  17. Listen to the people whining about no fiber in the tundra regions. There's 1700ish plants that can grow in a similar environment, atleast a few could be used as a fiber or cordage, but if you're not going to fix that then go the complete opposite way and remove the insane number of berries and herbs in the area and make it a real struggle to survive there.
  18. The biggest problem with building on a lawless island is they can get crowded pretty fast with crap people have left there when they have moved on from the area.
  19. They will just use VPNs to get in. Most are already using them.
  20. Oh, time to grab some popcorn and watch.
  21. What's funny is the chinese will complain, using google translate, that they don't have servers to play on when you confront them.
  22. Allow us to change Company name once... Owner messed up our name.
  23. I don't really like any of these options. So here's my ideas! I think the diminishing returns on claim flags should be a thing. Claim all you want, but the more you claim, the less protection time you have on that flag. Could even add in making the size of the claim area smaller with each new flag. Eventually, anyone will hit a point where it's just not possible to maintain the timers on the flags and will be forced to stop or the size of the claim would be pointlessly small. Could solve the people sinking boats by weight by making them only recognize the weight of company/alliance members. Would fix the problem in pve and still allow people to board boats in pvp to kill crew and players during a battle. In regards to Damned ships I wouldn't want to see them removed entirely but seriously, they need to knock down the numbers a bit. I built a sloop and was taking it to another area and in 1 server I saw maybe 5 or 6 different Damned ships. They were all fairly close together as well. That's another issue. They seem to spawn in the same areas together like there isn't some kind of check to see if one is within range of the spawner. Come to think of it, that's a solution. If the spawns work like they do on ark. you could just set 4 spawners, 1 in each quadrant of a server, and have each one spawn a Damned ship with a check to see if there is another one in that area before spawning a new one. Hell, you could even add a condition to that check to allow a second one to spawn occasionally. I'd also make it so the ships stay in their quadrant as well. After you fix them, then you can add other dangers to the ocean to keep it deadly, but provide a nice variety of shit to kill people. These boats are just boring and a pain with the way they are. I'd rather lose boats to dragons, mermaids, sirens, or other players than the same thing constantly.
