  1. Devs "Let's make the endless creature spawn even more annoying by forcing players to craft 4 bows to clear their farming spots so they can cut wood for 20 minutes before repeating the whole process"
  2. I got points in Hand Harvesting bonus and I honestly don't think I am getting any more materials than before, I have been testing deep sea diving for seaweed fiber and I am not getting 60% more at all, I am getting the same as I was before I added the skill points, at least if I am getting any extra I certainly don't notice it and it's definitely no where near 60%.

    Creature Spawn

    I am creating this as a bug report thread because there is no way the devs in their sane minds intended to have so many creatures spawning everywhere, especially aggressive ones that plague entire Islands where you spend 70% of your time gathering, killing mobs instead of actually gathering. Right? I mean it was an accident right? lol. I have also been testing deep sea diving for seaweed and there are TONS of creature spawns at the bottom of the sea, this combined with the creature spam on the islands must be creating more lag, as well as just pissing players off who get tired of having to constantly fight mindless creatures. Reduce the spawns everywhere, not only will this reduce the load on the servers, but it would certainly make the game more enjoyable as fighting these annoyingly persistent creatures is getting old really fast. Make the aggressive animals less common/numerous but make them tough and rewarding to kill, instead of just a massive fucking annoyance when you're trying to gather a few materials. I want danger in the game, but not constant annoyance, they're not fun to fight, they're just like heat seeking missiles.
  4. Fire Arrows didn't need just a damage nerf for their Nuke-like effectiveness against players, they needed to be made like the tools, useless against ship hulls. As it stands you can still easily and cheaply sink fleets of ships using just rafts and fire arrows, it just takes a bit longer with the reduced damage. Last time I checked in the Age of Sail and anything Pirate related, Swords, Guns and Cannons were used for a reason, I am pretty sure the majority of players came here for that and never expected Fire Arrows to be one of the dominant weapons ( alongside fists and shields for their perma stun abiltiies, I'm naked with fists killing fully armoured guys who have guns because I can perma stun them with a punch ) . People also have lives and like to sleep sometimes, so it should take Cannons and explosives to sink ships, so players are forced to actually bring something valuable out of their harbour, or players should be forced to capture the boats if not. Fire Arrows could still burn down doors, beds, boxes etc on board the ship, but as it stands the cost vs reward for Fire Arrow spam against the Cost + time of making a ship is massively unbalanced. There is no reason for us to do anything but sink entire fleets in enemy harbours with fire arrow spam, it's so cheap in both terms - cost and how cheesy it is. Fire Arrows should be an area denial tool, something to clear small rooms or bottlenecks out with, not to nuke players and boats with, they shouldn't set players on fire, they should only set the ground on fire, they shouldn't set ship hulls on fire. People may come here and disagree with me or try to say "git gud" but we have been doing this ourselves and we have sunk far more ships than we've lost, but it's getting boring and lame, everyone's doing it and if we don't do it we will be the ones who lose, give us a reason to actually use explosives and cannons, i.e the weapons that were actually used in the Age of Sail and in the golden age of Pirates which this game clearly has its theme set on.

  6. As title says, I can no longer gather the seaweed on the seafloor, the gather icon appears but nothing I try is letting me pick it up, it worked fine yesterday.

I don't care what's "realistic" either, it's a game and for balance sake boats should not be killed by tools and fire arrows, at least it should take hours if its even possible at all, but IMO explosives and cannonballs should be the only things that damage ships hulls for gameplay sake. By all means make the doors/hatches destroyable with tools and fire arrows so you can clear out ships and loot them or try capture them though. Fire Arrows should mainly be an AOE weapon against players, to deny areas and to clear out defenders/bottenecks, but right now we can go just go sink a whole fleet within minutes using them. It's all about cost vs reward, whats the point in spending hours farming the resources to build big boats when someone can spend far less time making a few fire arrows and tools to sink a whole fleet lol.
  8. It was the lighthouse, my crew mates destroyed our neighbors lighthouse and the resources respawned as normal, destroy the lighthouses!
  9. That's definitely not how it's working at the moment, they've been spawning everywhere in silly numbers, one shotting lone Sloops and even ganking large lone ships, certainly not zergs of players, but definitely zergs of Ships of the damned.
  10. Hi I am trying to contact staff about an issue with our Island, it has not respawned resources for about 12 hours, the island is now barren, there is nothing on it to gather. According to my crew mates other nearby Islands do not have this issue!. We're on EU PVP - O5 tile and we're on the Leowaki Skerry island. This has ruined our progress massively and would appreciate seeing it fixed rather than having to abandon all our hard work.
