  1. These mini games get on my tits already. I don’t need any more. The only one I don’t mind is the one during fishing because when I am fishing I’m not in a lagged out area and I have time to press the buttons. Mini games for fixing and reloading in a rubber band lag fest when it’s most vital is frustrating. Frustration and fun are opposites or each other. Unless you want peoples moods to be constant anger & frustration that is. Not all games are build to be fun and enjoyable to play, I suppose.
  2. Could be like FO76 and be low level. As people will abuse this and create a new character so they can be immune to PvP attacks. So as the current Freeport, immune to attack up till lvl 8.
  3. Problem with mixing the islands with PVE and PvP is the pvpers will live in the PVE areas to avoid getting destroyed. Again still the same as living in a Freeport but without the penalty of decreased decay making it even easier. If the maps do merge then I think when a company is created it’s set as either PvP or PVE. No changing. Not even for gold. Because once companies accumulate enough gold players will abuse the system to turn off PvP. I never played season 1 but from what I’ve seen that system would work a lot better. But make the radius either oblong or square and allow space for all buildings and shipyard placement. Only 1 area per company. One farmhouse per company and warehouse collects from all farmhouses on the island. If you decide to log off when visiting an island you can put your ship into a bottle for safe keeping. PvP currently is too restrictive. You can‘t venture for long distances because you have to park your ship somewhere safe so it doesn’t get destroyed whilst your offline. Chances are when you log back in your ship and everything on it has gone resulting in being stuck in one spot. Prison, springs to mind. When designing a game you have to think how will a player abuse the game and work around it to avoid abuse.
  4. PC’ers are in their 4th season. They came on, did what they needed to do to get to max level. Because they have the game play knowledge. Saw nothing new was added and left. Simple as that. Now those who are still around have to wait for their spam and boats to despawn. The servers run bad in PvP because of the Stone structures and giant walls and defences everywhere and PVE runs bad because of the densely populated Lawless islands. Breeders from both sides don’t kill off enough tames or breed too many. Everything accumulates and causes a sh!t gaming experience for everyone. We are our own worst enemy.
  5. Surely the island owners who are able to put these down have more than enough wood to fuel their warehouses. They’ve spammed the island with farmhouses now they are complaining about putting wood into a building. What more do you want? Self built boats? Automated ship sailing?
  6. I don’t mind if they remove taming as this season I’ve only tamed a sheep and a cow and the next and last thing I will take is a cat. I bought my bears. Ones a hauler for getting the stuff from land to my base and ones for doing treasured maps. I play this game like it’s a marathon and not a 100m sprint. Taming is a huge time sink and is glitchy as hell. Breeding totally messes up people’s sleep patterns so I refuse to do it. Getting the gold is less frustrating and again I can refuse to do maps based on their location. If ramps or any building is required then the maps gets tossed out so sea. playing without tames is doable. Things just take a little longer. Doesn’t matter the company size as more people means more people who want boats so the resource required is the same. I play with a friend in PVE now. Left PvP a few days ago. In that time we’ve built a gally and a brig. Got a sloop and a raft. Started with a 4x4 and I extended that to an 4x8 and will be putting the garden and grill on the roof. We have 5 bears. We got a deal on the first lot. But 2 get one free and 2 battle bears. And we are sorted. Took us three days to accomplish all that. We’ve accumulated 6k in gold and are starting to get some nice blueprints. And we’ve got 20 odd discoveries. I’ve accomplished more without takes than I do with them. Like I said tames are a time sink and take you away from actually playing the game. IMO. I have no interest in taming and it’s not actually required.
  7. PvP has combat timers. The island owner sets a 9 hour combat window. So the island is in peace phase for 15 hours, then combat for 9 hours. what usually happens is you chose an island to become a tenant on based on their combat timer. Then you join the island alliance. So your ships and defences don’t kill the other occupants and vice versa. When you get attacked or anyone from the alliance gets attacked you help each other. A lot of times the landowner helps also. But occasionally the landowner doesn’t because they have to remain neutral against some groups. It’s very political in PVP. Do wrong to the wrong company and SHTF very quickly. Also you’re not always being attacked by the group who is attacking because they are carrying out a ‘Hit’. They are being paid to raid you. Like I said. Political. Very yawn. And so petty. Lawless is 24/7 PvP with no safety net other than Freeport’s. but some megas live in Freeport’s also so can’t be touched. Freeport living needs to be removed and lawless. PvP is more of a mess than PVE. And is played backwards. Those who want PvP should be on lawless and those smaller groups who need protection because of life, work and family commitments should be on private islands.
  8. 1 cat can solve all you fertiliser needs no matter the size of your plantation. And when you don’t need the fertiliser it can catch bugs or fish.
  9. I hope the OP is being sarcastic.
  10. The island I’m on has tornadoes on the beach covering our entire shipyard and harbour. Fun times!
  11. H4 is just as bad. I/we were rubber banding whilst on land frequently.
  12. Anyone found any gems yet? really struggling to find any. Locations appreciated.
  13. I thought putting approximately 12k into the flag after a certain time wiped the entire island of all structures, including your own. I think the only thing exempt from this is fully anchored ships. I think the time scale is 6 days.
  14. I’ve been reading these forums since Boxing Day. I wouldn’t communicate with you lot either. I goes in one ear and out the other. They said there wouldn’t be much communication. They have given you a picture explaining the road map. But yet here you are with your head up your arse unknowing of what’s going on. The Patch that is dropping soon is Phase 1. I repeat the patch that is dropping soon is Phase 1. Xbox users like this and Ark because there is no other game like it. The lag how ever whilst in built up bases is diafuckingbolical!
  15. Grapeshot is based somewhere in the States.
  16. Hand harvester effects tools. And it’s very noticeable. 60% I think.
  17. The fun comes from the act of doing such things. They don’t care about you, as much as you don’t care about them. Both sides of this game have toxic players. Fact. Both sides of this game have nice layers. Fact. Toxic players and Nice players don’t mix no matter the game mode. The player that wins is the player that there’s more of. Lots of nice people building friendships defending the bases can hold off toxic players. A nice player swamped by toxic players will not last 5 minutes. The company size means sod all. It’s the number of active players you’ve gotta worry about. People are scared of D&T and the Chinese. We scared them both off. We had 2 people online at the time and both of them were Xbox players lagged out to high heaven. The Chinese brought 7 ships. On both occasions not a single one of ours got damaged. Nice people can defend again the toxic. Even when you think the odds are against you. And to get outta that cage you need to yell until you die. Yelling causes stamina drain. Stamina drain causes increase in food. No food equals death.
  18. The only added difficulty to the game is PVP. I’ve had my boat destroyed on many occasions when doing the power stones. Well, the hydra actually. Never got the stones as the ship was set of fire before the crew even reached shore and the lag spike prevented me from raising the sail’s. But Turning off PVP in the Golden Age is a different topic.
  19. How about being able to place a land claim flag in lawless. The radius would be a lot smaller. Enough to accommodate a ship yard and piece of land to build on. Costs gold to keep area. A distance restriction could be put into place where no two flags could overlap or be in proximity of each other so as not to prevent access to the island. Maximum number of players in each lawless group. Possibly no allies so a large company couldn’t split into small groups, ally and control a whole island. Same timer, 9 hours PVP window. Not everyone wants to play in large groups. I don’t because lag spikes get on my tits, the restrictions company owners and admin put on their members is annoying AF and I don’t like 100% of the human population. Not all company leaders are competent, friendly of helpful. And I shouldn’t have to waste my time trying to find a big team who I get on with. I play with friends because they are like minded individuals, hence why they are friends. Rando’s are annoying AF. Kids are annoying AF. Being told you have to join our discord group is annoying AF. I just want to play the fudging game and have fun whilst doing so.
  20. It’s based on the soil they stand on. Soil can be manipulated based on the foundation used on top of soil types.
  21. That saddle is now fixed to the tame, and can only be removed upon demolishing the large storage box.
  22. I think it should be a company thing. I’m currently imprinting and it’s totally fudging up my health and sleeping pattern. Fortunately I don’t work. But children of school age play this game, and it effects their sleep, studies and adversely their whole future. Consideration from the devs. 0 outta 10.
