Hi everybody, I am totally excited about the game and very happy on the eu pve server. Except for a few claim bugs everything is fine. But from my experience at Ark I learned that the small tribes servers (companies member limit) were best if you only like to play with 3-4 friends. I wanted to ask if there are any plans in that direction? Kind regards, Ameesa

This is currently a problem that's very hard to solve. Some tribe is attacking in PVP, that's fine and dandy. But as they lay claims on the island, their (generally as small as possible) characters find a rock/hillside to lie prone next to, and basically are invisible, maybe a very very tiny patch of hair sticking out or something. As a defender, this is frustrating as hell, I'm fine with losing in a pvp match but this isn't pvp, this is basically invis mode by a naked guy giving almost no effort to capture a flag the moment I and my team leave the area. There really needs to be a counterplay to this, maybe make yellow capture areas highlight enemy positions if they stay still for over 10 minutes or something?

Maybe its just me, but treasure maps are a bit underwhelming. Especially any map that has a reward that is under 150 gold just doesn't feel worth doing. I would like to see a small buff to treasure hunting making it more of a higher reward higher risk type of deal. Especially for maps that go outside of the server you picked them up in. I think most of the Fine Maps are at the correct reward, but the common maps that are out of server that you pick them up in should see a 100g increase in reward.

For some reason unable to build them. Skill is trained, I can build everything else (that I tested) unable to build small storage box. Right click, build 1, nothing. double click, nothing. press 'e' to build, nothing. Just wanted to report it. Thanks.

We are a 3 man company that has been playing since day 1. We have a bit of land established in one of the desert squares on NA PVE, its a nice small little island with plenty of resources and hardly any predators. I've been hesitant because I would really like to make sure who we are letting build is mature and friendly, as there have been way too many hostile people on PVE (and quitters). We really want to help people who want to play the game but are having problems finding a claim. We have enough space to let someone else build a base, and we keep our taxes low (though I think if you are in an alliance you wont have to pay them, we can work that out). Please message me on discord if you are friendly and just want a spot to call home and play the game for the long run. We definitely need some solid people to help with treasure runs and whatnot. Probably won't accept you if you are in high school still, sorry kids. My discord is Deadscvm#5959

The title says it all, if you limit alliances to 4 companies and companies to 2 alliances, there will only be one company size that works, 250. Nobody will want a spot filled by a company that has any less. So please, I think it would be a big improvement to limit alliances to 500 or 1000 players instead. That way you can have companies of all sizes on official servers!

So I claimed a place on a desert biome island, spent a couple of days building a base and didnt worry about ships, resources spawned really fast never any problems at all. Built a Small Shipyard now I am living in an actual desert. Can anyone else confirm this is causing the resources to stop spawning?

So in Ark the color coded quality tiers did not correspond absolutely to higher numerical values. I wasn’t a huge fan but whatever, it didn’t matter much. In Atlas this is completely pointless because of the need for additional kinds of mats as one goes up in tiers. If I have 2 cannon blueprints and one is fine while the other is journeyman and they have the same values numerically, the less demanding fine bp is intrinsically better, which is counterintuitive to everything gamers know. Dont misunderstand me, I actually love the requirement as one moves up in tiers for not just more mats, but more kinds of mats within a category. Combined with the way the different kinds are spread around the map I think this design choice was actually one of your best design ideas. It is great for encouraging exploration and trade. It’s just that allowing lower tier bp’s to be mathematically superior at times works against this whole idea. Please consider reworking tier value ranges to keep them separate mathematically with higher tiers showing clearly greater values than lower tiers. As it stands presently, only a fool would craft those higher tier bp’s that overlap in stat values with lower tiers. These bp’s at present are worse than worthless. By the way, the player who finds one of these intrinsically worse higher tier bp’s,crafts from it because he doesn’t know any better yet, then later comes across a superior lower tier bp, that is the guy who feels like the devs are deliberately trying to screw him over.

VZW_Matt can't be praised enough for creating a tool that dynamically runs the grid the player(s) is/are on and the surrounding ones. This allows to travel the whole map with minimal server ressources, as long as you wish to play solo or with small groups. It is a working solution already: https://www.reddit.com/r/playatlas/comments/ah2izu/release_atlas_server_controller_my_program_to/ Just want to make sure you see this :) And hope yo might consider implementing this in the game so people can have a nice (modded) singleplayer experience more conveniently. Certainly would allow people that can't sink so much time in the game to enjoy it.

Just some ideas for small quality of life improvements that I've wished for over the past 150 hours. -Being able to sort by material type. ie: All thatch listed together, all wood, etc. -Selectable material containers that you could set to only take thatch, or fiber, or wood, etc. -The folder system not working, saving, and having to have the item to set up a folder in the first place. -Lanterns breaking and having to be taken to the smithy to repair, but instead they should be able to be filled with oil in place to repair. -Crafting giving XP. As the designated cook and builder for the crew, its annoying to not get any xp for building everything, while the gatherers and hunters get it. -Being able to build things that are build out of personal inventory, on the smithy. Its just annoying to have to pull the resources off the smithy to build a bow, or arrows, then put them back. -Dyes not showing up worth anything on stone. A good portion of the dyes don't show up accurately on stone. Reds are almost not noticeable. -Those cluster of stupid spiky 'straw' plants on tropical that cover a stupid amount of ground, are annoying to harvest unless you hit the center stalk of the bunch, and give hemp instead of straw...and not even much of it for how much area they cover. -Being unable to anchor in anything but the shallowest of waters. -Resource blocking distance from lighthouses, shipyards and anchored ships is way too far of an area. I know everyone has other issues with griefing, balance, etc, that are being theoretically worked on, I was just wondering if people had any other wishes for basic quality of life things.

I have tested this carefully there is no doubt that a small shipyard has a very large area around it that stops all resources from respawning could this area please be made smaller, right now its around the same size as a claim flag which is a huge chunk of resources.

For a smaller company it is rather challenging to progress through the game. First there is the grind, which can easily be fixed by upping the rates. Secondly, it’s far too hard to get past the beginner stage. The larger companies will keep pushing you down every time you get just a little further. It sucks because it’s not easy to get into a large company and there is nothing but building up for the smaller companies.

We're a small company of mature players looking for somewhere to build on a large companies claim in exchange for taxes once the new claim system goes live. We don't need much room, but are looking for a company that is powerful enough to protect the tenants living on their claims, especially when we're offline. We aren't interested in companies who are going to demand we let them dig through our stuff, or companies with alot of young guys in command...we just don't like drama. If your company wants the tax benefits from mature players living on one of your claims, send me a PM. Thanks!

I dont care what you fan boys say. I have close to 4k hours into Ark and I have close to 3 hundred hours into this game. Im a MMO Survival junkie gamer and Im telling you that one of the biggest problems Ark had more than the hack was Alpha tribes. People would log into a server and ask right away what is the Alpha tribe like. This is not a good thing its a bad thing also. ALPHA TRIBES GOT BORED!!!! They come in hot tear up everything ruin the game for everyone else then run those players off maybe even quieting the game for good then the Alpha tribes move on mostly to other games LIKE ATLAS!!!!!!!!!!! BTW if you go on ARK right now you will see small tribe servers are the most full servers. This is a ARK DLC lets be clear about that it drew most of its base players from ARK. Learn or sink! https://survivetheark.com/index.php?/forums/topic/202677-the-ark-devs-have-to-address-the-problem-of-alphamega-tribes-ruining-servers/

Upon death small characters go under the mesh, and have irretrievable inventories. This can be to a PVP advantage.

So many thread from these 4-10 man crews about how its not fair they cant hold their territories and get raided all the time...... The game was DESIGNED around LARGE companies. It's like having a " 4 " man football team taking the field, then complaining when the other team gets on the field with their 11 players. ITS FOOTBALL you need more players!!! There is PVE although from what I hear that still has plenty of problems, or Unofficial servers with small companies. Stop expecting the game to cater to you. Recruit more players or join a full size team.

I was just messing around a bit with spawning in creatures and I found a few small things that could be improved. The Tigers have visible Seams: Dragons have a weird animation on their Left Hindleg when biting in Air, it clips through tail: Dragons also seem to have a random roar which is not a dragon roar but the same sound as the T-Rex from Dino D-Day as heard in this clip There is also a building issue with the Stone Walls, when placing them on an Inner Corner you end up with this:

As it stands currently if you are not in one of those 1000 member tribes you don't stand a chance when it comes to PVP in Atlas. This isn't healthy in the long term for the game and no doubt it will put a lot of players off from playing it. Each map square currently can only holds a max of 150 players and yet there are tribes out there with thousands of members. What is happening is these very large tribes are flooding individual areas maxing them out to 150 so that even those that have their main base there cannot log in to defend their base. All of these issues could be solved if the developers took the same approach that ARK finally did by offering players another separate server cluster with restrictions on tribe size. Small Tribe Servers in ARK proved to be an instant hit with continuous maxed out servers. Today it is currently its most popular mode in that game. I would like to see a second map cluster for Atlas that limits company player size to say 20-30 max and no alliances. This would still allow enough people to be online at any one time to defend their base, while not allowing said company to be able to completely dominate any one server/map area. Now obviously there is nothing to stop companies making informal alliances between themselves but at least without a formal alliance things get a lot more complicated - allied name tags show as enemy, there is no alliance chat and claim flags become a mess. This is not a perfect solution and I don't believe there ever will be a perfect solution to this king of thing in games of this genre but it is far better then standing by and doing nothing.

We have some tropical land, as well as dominance over a lawless island in temperate area. We are a group of around 40 with some strong allies looking to expand! If you are a small crew who is sick of struggling to find land outside of the Tundra area and want to settle with a decent sized crew and experience the game hit me up on discord!!! Taking large alliances also https://discord.gg/Gk47Bn

I have seen several problems with this sail, but I would also like to highlight this separately.

I have the mats but the item still won't begin crafting in my inventory. Pressing A, E, doubleclicking, nothing works. The Small Wood Gateway crafts just fine, but not the door Edit: For clarification purposes - The crafting recipie appears and is lit up blue. I can see it to craft it, but trying to activate it doesn't do anything.
