    FINAL NOTE Again, we would like to emphasize that Stryker said it all. We took our boats and left. Stryker messaged Tristan and Cejay, told them it wasn’t working out. We wanted to go out and get content but we were NA players in an EU company. I personally farmed at least 400 rhino horns for the company, so I felt taking my ship with me was reasonable. I had 150 dmg gunports on my ship, everything else was from vessels studies. I leveled it myself and farmed the horns myself, I also farmed the gunports that were on my boat. Neither Tristan nor Cejay were in comms when we left, they had already went to bed so he messaged them. End of story. Call it what you want. It is as simple as it just wasn’t what we’d hoped.
  2. My first question is about servers in general: We started playing Atlas a few weeks ago (there are 2 of us). We originally wanted to play on a dedicated private rented server and invite another friend or 2, but chose to play the single player on a non dedicated server (tethered) after reading that we'd have to rent several servers in order to get access to a large portion of the map on a private server. I'm still not sure we understand how the servers and maps work, and how many squares of the map you get per server that you rent. We just want to be able to enjoy all the content of the game with the boss fights, power stones, kraken , ghost ship, etc. .. and were afraid that we'd miss most of that if we only had a couple squares to work with. Can someone explain to me how many squares of the map you actually get per rented server? Also, if you only get a few squares to work with, does that mean you just never get to fight the bosses or see the content in the other squares you don't have access to? Okay, my next issue is regarding our non dedicated server randomly "breaking": Okay, so when we first started playing we played for probably about a week with everything seemingly going okay. We were enjoying the game and learning the ins and outs, building things, leveling etc. One evening the game crashed on us repeatedly and when the host tried to validate his files in Steam, it said 1 file was unable to be validated. We assumed something glitchy happened with some update and we just decided that although it was a pain in the butt, we'd just start over. We then found out that the spyglass was the culprit of our crashes, and it was each time the spyglass was used that crashed the game. We decided to just go ahead and start over anyway since we really weren't that far in, because of the file that said it couldn't validate and since the spyglass issue things were acting weird anyway. Fast forward now we're almost 2 weeks into our fresh server and now last night it seems like the server broke on us again. There is no sense in continuing to play if we are going to just have to start over every 10 days or 2 weeks. I'm hoping someone can give me some insight into what we can do to fix this. Sorry in advance for the long story, but I want to go through most of what I can remember we did, in case it is something we did that "broke" things again. Most of the evening of us playing went fine, then all of the sudden I crashed and it said I lost my connection to the host. While trying to re-join it would not show our sever in the list, so the host had to reboot his game and then it would show for me. We've never had those issues before last night. After the 2 times of that happening, everything seemed to work fine. We were able to continue playing with no issues for a while. We decided to go do some ship exploration, get some resources, and then do a couple of treasure maps. For a while everything seemed normal, while sailing, with normal ship attacks, shipwrecks to dive, flotsam floating etc. During our exploration we found what we believe may be the Kraken location (we aren't positive on that) and went inside the swirling water (nothing happened when we did). That was in F4. Then we went over to G5 and hunted the ghost ship for a little while. We think we may have found it during the day, as our ship started having some weird ghosting effects. At that time we didn't realize the ship only appeared at night. We decided to go ahead and do some treasure maps. We were going to sail home to C9 to drop our resources off and lighten our ship, then head out. At some point during that journey we realized we hadn't seen a Ship of the Damned in quite a while. Then realized we hadn't seen any shipwrecks or flotsam. We decided to re-log in case that was the problem. After we did, the shipwrecks and flotsam all re-appeared, but we still didn't see any Ships of the Damned. We sailed the rest of the way home and never saw any. I picked 3 Journeyman maps in A9. The host picked up the maps and noticed they said the minimum gold awarded for them were 0, which was odd. He handed them over to me and each one said the minimum was around 15k. While that was strange, we decided to go ahead and sail out to do them. We sailed from C9 to A9 and still never saw any ships, but did see shipwrecks and flotsam. We got to the location and the beam didn't show up for the host. He handed the map over to me and the beam showed up just fine. I walked over to the beam expecting it to activate the spawn, but nothing happened. I took my shovel out and started to dig and it crashed the server. We both came back in and tried again and it crashed again as soon as I tried to dig. We came back in a 3rd time, and this time we decided to pick up more t-map bottles to see if they also said there was a minimum of 0 gold as the reward. The host tried to pick up 3 bottles, and although it showed him picking them up.. the bottles weren't showing in his inventory. I went and found a bottle to pick up and the same thing happened, it wasn't in my inventory. We ended up just logging out after that. What would cause a server to just randomly seem to "break"? Is there a way to fix this? This game is unplayable for us if we have to restart from scratch every 10 days or 2 weeks because something breaks the server. We are really enjoying the game and want to continue to play. What can we do? Thanks for your time!

  4. Fact: Fast travel does not allow personal inventory to travel with you but if you have multiple Warehouse w/Market you can fast travel unlimited amounts of materials across grids. Devs: To make this fair: 1. Remove the ability for Warehouse /Market Owners to create their own trade prices amongst themselves to freely transfer materials over grids without ships, but instead use Tramp Freighters. 2. Have Market opened up to everyone with Markets at the Free Ports with item costs being set by the global market against pricing standards to thwart those that want a magical safe transportation of their Warehouse goods across grids to avoid risk of losing it while sailing across the open sea.

  7. This is probably a very unpopular opinion since Ark / Atlas players have this peculiar fascination with playing zookeeper to tame random wild animals and make them into pets, but... come on. It's a pirate game, and yet the overall state of balance fundamentally and heavily focuses on this concept of creature taming. Want to farm treasure maps? Better have a tame, because soldiers of the damned are too numerous and tanky to deal with on foot and are inexplicably immune to swivel guns, cannons, etc. Want to farm resources? Get that tame out there for carrying capacity. Base raiding? You guessed it -- tames. PvP? May the better tame win. Everything revolves around this stupid taming concept when you aren't sailing. Apart from sailing and shipbuilding, it's arguably the most fundamental concept of the game. And even when you're at sea, your ship ends up looking like a zoo, with elephants or bears or hogs on your ship deck. It's just... ridiculous. Everywhere you go and everything you do revolves around this weird pet mechanic that most other MMOs simply don't have.

While I did like Ark and how it worked, the menu, crafting, etc. is just set up in a weird and complicated way to where even when you start to get it down, leaving and coming back to it can take a while to relearn, at least for me on xbox. Is there a way maybe a more simple and easier to use system could be put in place while playing or at least a different remapping or the controls in the example of A to crazy versus RT please? Feel an easier menu is what a LOT of players would want, I know it is the main reason I couldn't get many people to play on Xbox and feel if it was changed that it would draw in a LOT more people and create a more expansive and diverse community. Also, plated the trial and like the game and am REALLY wanting my friends to like it as well so we can all build and play. At the very least, could there be a option to change the menu from classic ark to a beta version and see if people like it better?
  9. Recently started a new company on Tortuga [7x7] Dangerous Waters 2X/3H/5T/Quests PVE Unofficial server. Has one PVP grid and a handful of active companies.   10. Since i read they are planning to rework melee combat (and add new weapons) i just wanted to give a suggestion. Instead of having 5-6? Keys to attack a mix of mount and blade and Skyrim melee would be great. For those who don't know in m&b you use mouse to decide your attack and block directions. Down - Stab/block Up - Down swing/block Left - Right swipe/block Right - Left swipe/block But the problem with m&b pvp is you can just hold the LMB forever and attack whenever you want or spam attack and block so I thought of adding the Skyrim heavy attacks when you hold the key. So if you hold down the key instead of canceling with block or dodge you start a heavy attack which you are committed and can't cancel. You become immobile giving enemy a chance to attack you, shield bash interruptions always stunning you. Heavy attacks have a increased damage at the cost of stamina and always staggering opponent. Dodge: Its still the same back/side step, i tought of adding rolling for hide armor but decided it might be better as a feat. You can't back step stabs and down swings and you can't side step side swings, you will take damage. Timed dodges will increase your next attack speed greatly but for a reduced damage for a very short duration Block and parry: It's the same expect you also have to block up and down now. You can block heavy attacks but you will be stunned and your weapon will lose more durability. Timed blocks(parry) will change your next attack to heavy attack with increased speed for a very short duration all blocks and parries will damage weapons durability Shieldbash: Stuns enemy if used while enemy charges up for a heavy attack. Staggers enemy if used before enemy basic attacks land (like parrying with a shield) Staggering: Its a short interruption also slightly pushing you back. You take slightly increased damage while staggered. Stagger duration is lower the higher tiered your armor is Cloth common = ... = myth < Hide < common < ... < Myth < plate common < myth Basic & heavy attacks: Mouse up - Down swing / heavy down swing Can't be dodged by backs stepping / Deals increased damage and greatly increased stagger time Mouse down - stab / heavy stab Can't be dodged by back stepping, greatly reduced damage but very quick / normal damage, still faster than other heavy attacks and slows the speed if used on staggered enemy Mouse left & right - side sweep / heavy side sweep Normal attack, increased speed if used in succession on opposite sides (L,R,L,R) / increased damage, applies bleeding (does not stack but resets duration) That's it then. I'd like to hear your thoughts and please tell me if I missed to explain something So anyway i just got overexcited created account get everything off of my system and didn't really give it much of a thought on how it would work on laggy servers or how it would work on pvp since i only play single player.   11. I'm trying to help 5 of my friends to get the sub and the v2 keeps spawning. What kind of drugs are the devs on?? I want some of that as well. I'm all the way back by the borde, I send them in and it still spawns v2. It never was like that before and why is it like that now? Like I said. I want some of those drugs!! So I can be totally oblivious to my shit life!!

  13. Since the latest patch that rolled out 2/1, the SINGLE PvE server yall have running is completely unplayable. Buildings and ships dont load in, movement is sketchy, if you get in at all. This was NOT an issue prior to the Small Company and Xbox PvP servers being launched. Decay timers are running down... I already see buildings at the "Destructable" stage and many more buildings will be there soon. Tame claim time is also continuing to accumulate while this issue is going on. If you arent gonna roll things back to 1/30, you may as well wipe the Whales Solitude server, as whenever you do fix it.. the first people in will claim any buildings/resources and tames that others have accumulated... not to mention the ones that will just die in tame racks. How can you screw up the ONE server you left for PvE when the patch was supposed to consolidate PvP servers??? I have tried for the last year an a half to be an ambassador for this game on You Tube and Discord. If yall dont want PvE as part of the game.. well.. bravo ... cuz youre about to lose a lot of players AGAIN.
  14. Hello Everyone, Our company Dead Sea Syndicate finally created the Great Temple a few weeks ago and we placed it down on our island. Approx 3 min later the zone crashed and when logging back in the temple was gone and back in my inventory, but the game thinks we still have it placed down. Has anyone had this issue and or does anyone know a way to fix this issue. As it stands, we cannot set it back down because the game thinks it's already down and because of this we have no way to upgrade it. I know it wasn't designed to just place on any island but this season it lets you and I've seen many companies with there's placed down on random islands. We also submitted a ticket like three weeks ago and seems to not be getting any response from the devs. Any assistance or suggestions welcome, as we really want to enjoy this Temple if we can get it placed back down. Welcome At the current state of atlas i would like to grab the attention of the devs to please fix the game or make some changes that will allow the game to grow and become good again. 1st Thing ships At the current state of the game its only one good boat to use in pvp and its such a shame when there is so much more ships avalible. the ramming gally is the only the meta atm in atlas ship pvp to use anything eles is compleat pointless there the fastes strongest and most used. the game we need the other ships to at least compeat and be to the same speed to at least make them relivent. SIMPLY speeding up all boats to small ammount can really make a diffrence. 2nd MORTORS This is simple motrots are for ship defence and should not be the nuke to stop all ground pvp at the rate they kill tames is juts silly its fine they do the damage to ships but 40& of the game love to land raid and fight on the ground but when you get one shot by a mortor it kinda defeats all inspire to raid. 3RD 3X3 SERVER THIS IS NOT WHAT WE NEED OR WANT SIMPLE I would like more input from people that play on pvp servers

  17. Hello, This game is already running Season 11 and still the main game mechanics been remaning the same. For example: Why don't try fix problem, like why game dies quick and how to keep it more alive: a) "Don't have big players base" - first reasons for that is because game need too much grind and there is no way protecting your progress. You been running so many seasons, its time to start trying out different things. - Firstly 4x Increased all rates should be applied as normal rate (less grind, more fun) - Secondly, should shourten PVP servers times (season lenght), it should go with seasons (1-2 months). Players like new starts, and early racing for islands. Could also try out even shorter seasons. - Its time also to add 1-4 player companies server in the game (with no alliense, max 1 island per companies). There is more small clans and solo players out there than zerg players, so it would be nice if player can have a change to choose , which kinda of server to play. 11 Seasons all big companies always allie up with another big companies. Also kills the game real quick, every1 is getting allied up, nothing happening. -4th, try out adding ranking system in the game and reward top players/companies with permanent skin rewards (it's almost nessesary, to learn adding/ coding seasonal rewarding system in the game, so players don't want to skip seaons or they miss permanent skins - game gonna start feeling alive). This should be piorities NR#1 to get done. I dont think i should continue here... I just hope you try to do more in next year, than previously before. Happy New Years Everybody !!!
  18. Let me begin by saying, I've not put more than 3 days into single player on the Xbox preview. I totally understand this is a working progress and I totally understand these guys have a lot on their plate between ARK and this project. But by far when all the bugs and glitches get fixed, this will be my all time favorite game no doubt. There's so much to it and pirate games like these are what I live for. Now to the topic. Really the only major change I could ask for would be the map system for finding treasure. I feel like there is zero challenge and I can just become rich instantly even on the hardest difficulty. I don't want to just see a big smudged X on barley half of an island, then have it tell me exactly what part of the grid it's in because honestly the grids are quite small with a freighter that goes 20knots with 40% weight. I played a bit of sot a while back and I rly like being able to find parts of maps at different islands or finding secret places like vaults that have gold and treasure. I want some real challenge in actually searching the seas for treasure. Trust me guys I have a blast taking over islands and fighting npc pirates and ships, I'm so glad they've added regular old npc pirate ships . But seriously, when I come up to the island and see a big red marker in the sky screaming, "IM OVER HERE!" then I get there and some pirate homies jump out of the ground and I stomp them like they're ants and take a crap load of blueprints and gold. I feel like it's just way too easy, it's almost boring looking for treasure even though it's rewarding. I want clues, detailed maps, dungeons with treasure. I want that good stuff! Anyways that's really all I have to say. I hope the Xbox version gets some good bug fixes soon!
  19. I have been banned on this game for three years, I've raised tickets before that never got answered. How do I see info on my ban and assume duration is permanent. I walled off my island in pve but not sure where in the rules it says this isn't allowed. If I could get any feedback on this, really just want the ban removed from my steam profile for aesthetic reasons.
  20. The meaning of the game was to gather diffrent res, have sea battles, pvp on Island, do some exploring and so on.....now its 3x3 grades PvP and i cant do quests....its only build and fight. Whats the point if i have 50 players on 3x3 map ? Im more than mad now....I feel like i am closed in 9 sectors and cant do nothing than...sometimes shot someone. Its boring as... Where is that big world with wonderfull Islands ? Where is it ? I want my money back...

  22. Yeah, my company is sitting out this season due to the small grid and the early wipe of this season (frequent wipes are a waste of our time). I believe they pulled the servers from players to "test an idea". They should really just hire some more servers temporarily from NItrado, but I guess they're short on money or can't be bothered. I read on discord they want to get to release 1Q 2023. I can't even remotely see this happening if they're still "trying out ideas" and given the state this game currently is in. Generally it's hard enough to find space to settle. I'm curious what a 6v6 grid will be like. I would assume you'll struggle to find anywhere to settle, but given the lack of players still playing, it could be doable. I'm not willing to find out. They hired a new community manager which looked promising, but if you (rightfully) express dissatisfaction with what they're doing you get banned (harassment) for a week or worse. So yes, it's still a dumpster fire.

    Ahoy Pathfinders! With the new season, we have an updated Server Grid Editor (SGE) available for unofficial server owners. We wanted to ensure making a map was as easy as possible to all players, so we have added the ability to export and import server layouts. Players will be able to export/import grid layouts from season 10 or another personal layout they prefer. It should be noted that this feature and update is optional! To download the latest Server Grid Editor (SGE) click the the following link: SGE download Exporting Grids 1. Open up an instance of the SGE and load a project that you want to take grid layouts from. 2. Be sure to have ‘Show Server Data’ checked to see all the server coordinates 3. Go to the export tab and you’ll see new options with text fields above them: a. Export Server Json (this section will be covering this) b. Import Server Json (next section) 4. In the text field above ‘Export Server Json’ type in the server you want to export in alphanumeric format like A1 or M12 not the numerical coordinates such as (0,0) or (12,12) respectively. a. NOTE: you cannot bulk choose servers, it has to be one at a time. Do not try to use lists like A1,B2,C3 as it will not work. 5. Once the server you want to export is typed in click ‘Export Server Json’ and an explorer window will open 6. Save that file wherever you will find it and leave the syntax as its default (It will be something like: ServerGrid_B2) 7. Repeat steps 3-6 with all servers you are interested in exporting/importing. 8.
