  1. Let me begin by saying, I've not put more than 3 days into single player on the Xbox preview. I totally understand this is a working progress and I totally understand these guys have a lot on their plate between ARK and this project. But by far when all the bugs and glitches get fixed, this will be my all time favorite game no doubt. There's so much to it and pirate games like these are what I live for. Now to the topic. Really the only major change I could ask for would be the map system for finding treasure. I feel like there is zero challenge and I can just become rich instantly even on the hardest difficulty. I don't want to just see a big smudged X on barley half of an island, then have it tell me exactly what part of the grid it's in because honestly the grids are quite small with a freighter that goes 20knots with 40% weight. I played a bit of sot a while back and I rly like being able to find parts of maps at different islands or finding secret places like vaults that have gold and treasure. I want some real challenge in actually searching the seas for treasure. Trust me guys I have a blast taking over islands and fighting npc pirates and ships, I'm so glad they've added regular old npc pirate ships . But seriously, when I come up to the island and see a big red marker in the sky screaming, "IM OVER HERE!" then I get there and some pirate homies jump out of the ground and I stomp them like they're ants and take a crap load of blueprints and gold. I feel like it's just way too easy, it's almost boring looking for treasure even though it's rewarding. I want clues, detailed maps, dungeons with treasure. I want that good stuff! Anyways that's really all I have to say. I hope the Xbox version gets some good bug fixes soon!
  2. When playing single player on the Ocean map, I open the map using "m" or in the player menu the islands look blurry and pixelated. When I play on official the map looks fine, and when I play single player on Blackwood the map looks fine. Its just Ocean single player. I've seen some posts about this but they were all about the dedicated server, or hosting through nitrado. Map & Treasure Image Is there a way to get the map fixed?
  3. I am just going to put these here and say it still needs patching. Completely unreachable as most of the ship is buried.
  4. I and at least 4 others in my company have encountered this issue with about 30 to 40% of the ship wrecks that we have dove. We find that the wrecked ship is half buried or nearly fully buried under the sea floor mesh. This has been something we've had happen for nearly a year now. Will this get fixed or is it being worked on?
  5. I stopped doing Treasure maps about a month ago, after the ubernerf, but since that time have been introducing new players to the game, and low-level treasure maps seem to be fun for them. As a result we have all been collecting maps from islands local to us and getting a serious pile of them in our own zone that would have been too low for me to consider playing with in the past. I have a few new observations based on this large sample in a concentrated area, especially on our own island. 1. In another thread that I cannot seem to find, there were huge arguments about spawning AoD on top of other player's structures, and the fact that island owners should know where their spawn points are and not build there, I was skeptical then, but most of my experience had been on very high level, very remote maps, which by definition were rarely in the same zone, much less island, so I didn't feel my experience was sufficient to comment. After doing more than 20 maps on our tiny 15-point island, not even once have I seen a duplicate location. There seem to be about 5 areas that they are generally clustered around, and I have seen a few of them within about 20 feet of previous spawns, but never on the same spot. I am now certain that the idea anyone knows precisely where you can or can't build is patently ridiculous. 2. After encountering several pre-built structures that other players left behind from fighting high-level treasure maps in remote locations, like on the top of remote pillars, never once did the undead spawn in the location that those players had obviously built "around". Instead it seemed to always spawn some distance away from an enclosed structure. Whether that means that maps modify their spawn location based on existing player structures, or if the above RNG is to blame, i don't know. I don't really have an adequate sample of this, but after roughly 200 maps, I have yet to encounter one that actually centered the AoD spawn within an enclosed player structure. The closest I have seen is about 10 feet away from a player structure built over a temple, which made sense to me if the spawn was actually supposed to be on the temple somewhere, but got kicked to the nearest side by the location algorithm. I'm also quite sure that once a map is 'locked in' at the moment a player picks it up, the location is never modified by subsequent player construction, mostly because I used to construct tons of traps and enclosures before spawning a map, and it never moved the beam as a result.
  6. I've seen strategies from months ago but they dont seem to work now. Ie. Grenades into a circle of signs USED to work (i guess?) But they do no damage now. Is there a better way for the two of us to fight these things for gold? Cannons? Just better skills?
  7. The army of the damned that spawn when you do treasures should go back to being damaged by artillery such as swivel cannons. It makes no sense why they shouldn’t be damaged. Swivel cannons were a way for me to effectively solo treasure maps without the need to use more skill points to unlock tames. I think a better solution than making them not get hurt from it(which doesn’t make sense physically), instead their damages is halved for the Damned. This would allow people who like me to solo treasure hunt. This is my favorite thing to do in the game and is the source of most of my fun and it is ruined for me. If people think it is too op or something then keep it how it is in pvp but make them do half damage in over.
  8. Is it possible to solo treasure maps or does it have to be done with a group? I ask this as I play atlas mostly solo and want to know before I go treasure hunting and end up very dead.
  9. hi folks, whats the name of the multiplier to adjust treasure map loot quality for Blackwood? We haven't changed the treasure maps. Nevertheless, the loot seems a bit op on Blackwood. 90% of the blueprints are mystical and we didn't do any serious treasure maps. Or is this normal? kind regards
  10. I recently started playing this game together with my wife, and so far it has been really fun. But there are a few things that could be changed for the better especially when it comes to single player and coop. These suggestions are mostly tied to exploration and progression: - Treasure maps: Exploration can be quite rewarding in games, but if you find what you are looking for all the time, it stops being exciting. There are just too many bottles at the beaches, and you get tired of finding them 5 minutes after you start playing the game. It quickly becomes a farming issue instead of exploration. The second issue is that the event is always army of the damned. Adding some more events could be beneficial. Like underwater treasure guarded by an alpha shark or something. All in all, give us far less bottles (and maybe increase the loot from each one), and vary them up a bit. Hunting treasure is fun after all, or should be at least. - The sea should be more dynamic: Sailing in this game is really fun tbh. But the encounters could need some diversity. Currently in coop and single player, you only see ships of the damned (who only spawn in armadas btw), and storms always spawn on top of you. Every zone contains a lot of ships of the damned, so you are sure to encounter them all the time, and since water spouts always spawn on you, you are sure encounter them a lot too. This ties to what I said in the treasure map section: If something happens all the time, it stops being exciting. In this case it becomes more of a nuisance. So I suggest you add more variety here too. Add some trade ships with lots of good trade resources sailing around. If a player attacks them, his ship gets a debuff that will aggro Navy ships sailing around. Also add some pirates that will aggro players and navy ships alike (I know you are adding pirates with the pirate encampment patch, which is great!). When it comes to storms let them be more random so you can see them in the distance, or at least see the spouts in the distance and make them more dangerous. This will add drama and tension. Adding more types of storms like lightning storms and maybe a rare Tsunami could also spice things up a bit. I don't think these suggestions would cost too many hours in programming time, and they wouldn't really require too many new assets.
  11. The treasure map i got say i can get at less 105 gold for it, but when i dig it out, it only give me 85. is there something i done wrong?

I have done over 100 treasure maps and have gotten various quality Blueprints of everything from guns to tools to armor but I haven't even had a single common hatchet Blueprint not stone not metal drop from a treasure map completion the only thing that makes sense is that the loot table for treasure maps is missing hatchet recipes.
  13. Lately I was roaming my pirate island, having pirate thoughts. The approaching end of the world put me in a very melancholic state, as I realized, that all my treasures I robbed and crafted the last couple of month will be lost. Then I had one of those brilliant ideas only a rum soaked pirate mind can have: How amazing would it be, if we could burry treasures!! I mean, I realize, we will not be able to do it over the apocalyptic rebirth of the coming wipe. But what if we really could burry a small chest in game? Wouldn't that be the most natural pirate thing to do? Solo players would have a nice way to hide away valuables. On the other hand, well skilled pirates would have the ability detect nearby treasures. Treasure hunting would get a whole new dimension.
  14. Can we please have taxation on treasures and SOTD drops removed ? Tax the land, not the treasures / SOTDs. I understand you claimed a whole island and you are protecting your resources or what not, I don't mind that, tax it 30% all you want (as long as there are lawless this shouldn't bother anybody), but for crying out loud, remove taxation from treasures and SOTD drops.. I really REALLY don't want to travel half the map and risk life and limb to end up on a spot where my treasure is by chance on a 30% taxation or I kill a SOTD on a sea of flag spamming the ocean. Hope the new flag system will also take this into account as it's pretty frustrating.
  15. This is the second time that I cant get to a treasure becaus of the spawnpoint is inside a mountain/cliff. This time is really annoying as I spent close to 5 hours traveling from region L10 to C2. Because of its Quality of: 23.2. This really sucks not getting the treasure. I add the ccc location. NOt sure if youll respond to this, or just tell me sorry. But really! It not cool wasting peoples time like this, I know you dont mean it! But I bet you would be pissed if you too spend so much time on one thing and it turns out to be unreachable! cheat TP C2 123466 70980 3583
  16. Dear developers, So these patch notes contain gold gain nerf. I think this got your attention as bigger companies were stashing loads of it! Which is because every company member around the treasure chest was getting the reward and it seemed to be too high as it would just multiply based on the amount of people around (not sure if there's a limit). For solo player it was just enough to farm a bit and to be able to save up to pay the crew while doing other stuff. I would suggest to either lower the company members' treasure multiplier ((to give surrounding company members a percentage of the map holder's reward(and revert the general gold amount back ofc)) OR lower crew payment amount as well as disable crew payment while offline, whilst adding more ways to get gold for groups as well as solos. As doing treasure maps is time consuming and I think it should be a part of having FUN and not turn into some kind of CHORE where it will be the only thing we can do to be able to pay our crew and have our ships functional. Now the gold earned vs time spent earning it - will make us not being able to do anything except treasure maps if we want to sustain paying the crew. Especially for solo players as it's not getting multiplied between company members hence the solo players are the ones who need the crew the most!
