Alright... Had Christmas stuff to attend, but now I'm back. Just finished testing out the 6.2 build (rev.105929) and I'm still having the same issue. Timeout when trying to connect to any server, NA or EU, PVE or PVP. Was unable to get a dedicated server running due to the lack of support, and yes I tried the discord chat. Everyone talks in there like you should have 15 degrees in programming and nobody gives a straight answer. Well, they give a straight answer, but one that only they understand because they've already figured it out. It's like me telling someone that the first step to changing a spark plug in my truck is to remove the coil. If someone doesn't know where the coil is and how to remove it the instructions (while correct) are utterly meaningless.

You need to edit the game.ini [/Script/ShooterGame.ShooterGameMode] bClampHomeServerXP=False I should point out you need to edit the correct one as well as there are several. ..\ShooterGame\Saved\<SAVEDFOLDERNAME>\Config\WindowsServer\game.ini So if your command line parameter uses ?AltSaveDirectoryName=B1 The game.ini you need to edit would be located at ..\ShooterGame\Saved\B1\Config\WindowsServer\game.ini

Correct me if I'm wrong but what I'm understanding is that someone can take over your claim while you are offline , not have to bother with blowing your stuff up and stealing loot but just downright take over all of your buildings/dry docks and whatever because you made the fatal error of going to work or to sleep and don't have people playing from every time zone? Please tell me this isn't really the system you came up with for your "GOAT" MMO. I have no issues with the to be expected problems that come up with a launch, even more so with an EA launch and think you have been doing a fine job jumping on the problems that have popped up but if this is really the rule set you envision for this game I just don't even know what to say. This goes to core mechanics that I can't believe anyone would think is a good idea. Say it ain't so!!!

I suppose your talking about fortitude correct if it really helps slow it then I'll give it a try but still is frustrating to keep up with

I'm guessing you would need a Redi for each server you wanted to run. So I would have two separate folders (one for the redi and one for the actual game files, correct? (Example; RediRootFolder/RediServer1 & RediServer2 so on.., THEN ServerRootFolder/AtlasServer1 & AtlasServer2 and so on...)

Nothing anywhere states we can't chat about companies and trying to find people to play with in general discussion. There is no company recruiting thread or section. It's simply a "create company/browse" no discussion. So... believe my post is perfectly fine. nor was i advertising my company lol. I was simply stating let's team up. i dont care if we're in a company or not. trading is a thing in this game correct? if YOU want to go solo by all means more power to ya. I'm just tired of getting wiped due to random ass people bringing an army of predators to my face.

I don't think you need the dock to make the starting raft i don't think? For the next tier of ships you do, but correct me if im wrong. You do need seamanship to craft any boat of any tier though, pretty sure its on the left side of the seamanship tree.

Social media isn't where i should be getting my info... I start the game and low and behold there is a section with the state of the game.... Update it... if it requires a patch to change that note well then that's just piss poor programming... I would even be willing to look on this website... but it too inst updated... as we have moderators here correct.. When you hire a PR person or a Social Media team they should be in the ear of the lead programmers and the higher ups to put info out there to calm the seas so to speak....

I get an instant timeout as soon as I click on the join button. I have tried multiple servers, I have restarted, nothing I do helps me to connect. Last night while I was playing on NA PvP official, I left a starting zone. As I was sailing I hit the same phase zone to go back into the zone and my raft got stuck. It stopped moving even though the wind and sails were in the correct direction, I couldnt get it to turn to try and get off the border. I was stuck on the border when the 4.0 was dropped, made it back in game was still stuck. I killed my character and tried to respawn, and timed out. I have been trying to connect since then. Is anyone having either of these issues and how can I fix them?

You can't learn the recipe for a raft unless you start at a Freeport correct? The only servers I could get into were the lawless zones around the Freeports. Tried to switch home server to Freeport so I could actually leave the island and now I can't connect like everyone else. Can we get a skill to learn raft?

I have not been able to access any of the servers since they were all brought online the very first time, and I've been trying since to get into a server, but everytime I hit join one or more of the following happen: - Atlas becomes unresponsive (either to begin with or after awhile and sometimes correct itself) - When it corrects itself I usually get the message "Host Connection Timeout" or similar. I've tried...: - verifying the game's cache several times. - running it with admin rights. - giving the Atlas.exe high priority. - running it in windowed mode with absolute lowest settings. - tried running it with advanced startup parameters. - tried using Razer Gameboost. As far as I know quite alot of people have this issue. Anyone have any suggestions to getting this to work? - I'm suspecting if I can disable the loading screen that might actually do something, but I'm not sure if this is caused by something serverside or clientside.

I spoke with Nitrado yesterday about my server setup and was told they were waiting on files from the devs to set things up on their end before they made the option available for me to create my own setup. He also said that the devs use 256 servers in total for the entire (15x15?) map setup. For my dedicated server it would probably only be one square-ish in size and i’d have to use the island editor provided with the server files to setup how I wanted my map to look. Of course, everything still being new at that point it’s entirely possible that they didn’t have all the correct information or some of the info has changed since then. I am certainly curious as to how the mapping will work with private servers in regards to future modding. For instance, the airship and airplane they showcased as possibilities would seem to be quite limited on a private server if you could only effectively have one grid to work with. That’s not a lot of room to fly around in. Seems like some pieces in that equation might not be completely thought out yet.

Why for the last hour it keeps timing me out? I have yet to be able to play this game. I'm on the correct patch and I keep getting a time out error.

Correct, the official servers are currently down while they're investigating some connection issues.
