  1. Neither do I, which is why I won't be using all 6 racks on a galleon.
  2. "That speed level" is faster than you were going before
  3. Rough math is showing that it is worth replacing a speed sail with a weight sail at a much lower percentage than before, close to 50%. Remember that the weight sail actually helps the speed sails by reducing the amount they're affected by weight. 2 Weight Sails on cargo galleons, possibly 3, could stand up well in practical usage and still leave you at practical speeds (> 50%). And do not use all rack slots, that's suicide. Consider 3-4 on a galleon, 1-2 on a brig, and only 1 on a schooner. At those levels the Speed penalty is smaller than the speed penalty for the weight they give you.
  4. They can hold a maximum of 2000 "True" weight. Then, whatever is inside is reduced by 90%. So each one gives you 1800 Free weight. It has a display that tells you the real weight so you can keep track.
  5. Same, I was able to apply level ups without needing to come off the wheel (which I assume was the intention) Note - while it's the "inventory menu" it's not like the ship has a real inventory. Also - How much sweet talking to get the cargo racks bumped from 2000 to 3000 or 4000? Make them really juicy targets...
  6. It also looks like the old school claim system is back on. I can't build without a claim
  7. I'd like it if they rotated the bonuses. Gather one, xp another, breeding a third. Let's us focus the herd a bit better.
  8. imprinting re-normalizes to the speed of maturation, so it should be ok, EXCEPT if the animal was already in flight when the bonus was rolled out. then, since the timers don't update, it can leave you unable to finish imprints.
  9. Please add code to finish any currently in flight imprints when a bonus is enabled. It kills in flight imprints since the baby matures before the imprint timer is up.
  10. Any chance the ranges on boxes, troughs, and larders could get put onto the H overlay similar to old claim flag ranges? I hate playing the "is this close enough?" game sometimes
  11. Just sneak out the cargo racks and you can take an entire extra month if you need!
  12. It's kinda sad how much I'm looking forward to the cargo racks. We have so much stuff that needs to be elsewhere...
  13. But if they change that, my bamboo porch will not be as awesome. I like gathering it over my morning tea as I stare out at the fields of lions and cobras on the savannah. And before anybody complains the resources are fully available from the ground for anybody else to get on a giant island like only 2 people are crazy enough to build on.
  14. Pre wipe we confirmed knowledge does increase damage against ships... only if You personally fire the cannon.
  15. The buff shows up in the upper right corner while you ride, not in the stats themselves. Press H to see details
  16. Not all islands in a grid, even on official, are the same biome. In fact, you can have multiple biomes on one island. If you caught the tigers on that island, try elsewhere on the island. Press H and you'll see the biome.
  17. Knowing that adding islands wont automatically consider a wipe was the biggest point I needed clarified
  18. Yeah, this has been throwing people off since day one. You get what's advertised it just takes a while
  19. The character data is stored in a completely different place than the structure and building data. They can blow away a grid without needing to wipe character data or other grids. You can also add stuff to a grid just fine, as long as you don't move anything. So they CAN add new islands without wiping just fine. The bigger question is will they.
  20. I generally find Satisfactory to be a great example of EA done right. They've still got a lot of content they want to add in, but the content that they have in is Well done, tested, and polished. I've been through several EA's where the focus was on showcasing everybody the best example of a small part of the finished product, so that a player can easily say to themselves "I want more of exactly this". There's also a big difference that many of those games go through proper Alpha tests, and sometimes even Beta tests, before EA. As others in the thread have stated, where the EA point is can change drastically from game to game. The best are those where it's truly EA, after a proper Alpha test, and not using EA as a replacement for a Proper QA team and internal testing.
  21. Even that would be something. But so far they won't even come out so far as to say that they don't intend to have another, or that this one wasn't intended.
  22. Will these monthly major releases ALSO be coming with Monthly wipes? Want to know what cadence will be on those. You've been rather dismissive on specifying what the wipe schedule is despite many, many people wanting concrete answers on how frequently they will be.
  23. I've participated in probably about 40 early access launches. So far, this is the first one that did not explicitly state there would be progression wipes in their terms. That's my only complaint, if they'd said it in the terms it would be a very different story. Not all EA games wipe. That's why those that do put it in their terms.
  24. Please point it out in the EA terms. I shall wait https://imagebin.ca/v/4aWIoHlvjaga
  25. Do gotta wonder why they bother with a number at all though. Wasnt it originally going to be 14?
