This is exactly what the devs were meant to be introducing, but nothing has been mentioned on it at all. I mentioned it here: I tweeted that out to Dollie asking for a response, she saw the tweet and read the thread, but never responded. The silence on the subject tells me the 4 day timer is intended and there is no resource structure coming. If the 4 day timer was only for PTR then she would have responded confirming that, so the silence tells me it's intended and she didn't respond because she knows what the response will be to it. The resource structure for structure upkeep was something I was looking forward to, but instead we get stuck with a decay that doesn't let solo players take a break from the game.

Yeah it's been up for a few hours. Hardly anyone on it. Right now there are 39 playing, the most I saw was 52. Says a lot when the others were in triple figures pretty much when they went live.

Yeah but anyone that suffers from sleep deprivation because of a game only have themselves to blame because it's just a game. If this game keeps PvE structure decay as 4 days then i won't play anymore, won't make myself play constantly and suffer health issues because of it. 20 or 21 days like they changed it to pre-PTR is what it should be. I'll be happy with that.

Even 10 days is not sufficient when it comes to holidays, but certainly would be better than 4 days.

Taxes in PvE don't bother me, but 30% I feel should be max. 50% is absurd.

I did think that maybe my structures on an unclaimed island had 4 days decay because it was unclaimed and therefore acts like lawless and if it becomes claimed it might change. However, I logged on this morning, found someone had claimed the island but still 4 day timer. I'm pretty sure if the resource structure for structure upkeep was coming it would be part of the PTR though. If the 4 days timer is only for the purpose of PTR then really that should be made clear, because everything I experience that is not clearly stated (i.e. like increased gathering rates etc) I will assume is what it is meant to be like in 1.5. I hope it does not stay as 4 days because we'd be back to square one.

I noticed this as well, wasn't sure if they reduced the radius for the purpose of the PTR to speed up gameplay.

I've also been told if you opt out of the Beta, then quickly pause the download, then opt back in to the Beta and let it finish downloading it fixes it. I haven't done it myself as for now running that files does the job for me.

I am wondering though whether an unclaimed settlement acts like a lawless and therefore decay is 4 days. I don't know what happens when someone else claims the island on PvE yet as to whether my structures still have 4 days or if it changes. It makes sense for an unclaimed settlement to act like lawless in fairness, but no idea if that's what the devs have done.

If you keep getting that error you can just run this file and it will work. Steam\steamapps\common\ATLAS\ShooterGame\Binaries\Win64\AtlasGame_BE.exe

The 4 day decay rate is stupid. I'm hoping it is sped up purely for PTR, but something tells me it's not. They were meant to be introducing an auto-resource structure to pay upkeep for structures, yet there is no such structure in PTR and timers are 4 days, and the Devs don't explain this. I think we'll have to wait until 1.5 launches and find out first hand.

@Dollie @Jatheish I started on the PvE PTR and spawned on an island, placed down some floor structures and it says 4:00:00 decay demolish. Is this for the purpose of PTR only? If not, why is it 4 days? What happened to the resource structure for structure upkeep?

My first intention is to settle on an island that I don't care to own. If I didn't want to then i'd go to Lawless. I'm fine with how it is right now, yes you might get trolls, but there's a good chance you'll get nice neighbours/settlement owners. I'm not gonna be like you and label everyone that plays as a troll/griefer.

You can refuse to accept it, but it's not going to change, ever. This is the way it will be so you've either got to swallow it and accept it, or give up and move on.

I was not wrong because I was not saying it WILL come that day. I was talking about the fact that people like you ask where things are at 7:30am in the morning on the day it is due as if Grapeshot should be deploying stuff before they wake up. That is what I was saying is ridiculous. I never said anything about the fact that it will becoming that day. But you are so intent on arguing your case that you are failing to read simple English.

So me saying i'm pretty confident 1.5 mega update and wipe won't happen this week means i'll probably fall hard, which means you are saying it is likely to happen this week?

^^ That's been shared around the forum already and on Discord. Yes they should have posted it on the forums, but it's been shared on the forums several times already, which means if you didn't spot that then you'd unlikely spot something posted by a Dev.

No. You only have to move over to the public test realm IF you want to take part in the PTR testing. If you don't, then you stay on the branch you are now, and when the mega update and wipe happens you will just update to 1.5. Anyone on the public test realm now will need to opt out of the PTR and go back to the normal branch to update to 1.5. Also the latest update:

The PTR is meant to last a week, or at least the PvP one was, the PvE one was meant to come up yesterday. Then the 1.5 mega update and wipe is meant to happen 11th April, but considering we are on 9th April now (well most countries are) and the PvE PTR hasn't even gone up, and I've read a lot of issues coming from PvP PTR i'm pretty confident to say that I believe 1.5 mega update and wipe will not be this week, more likely next week.
