Dunno, today leveled up 1 full level from 40 to 41 by killing 201 lvl alpha wolf, don't know how it did not give full level.

Bows deal 86 dmg per headshot and tiny 17 dmg to alpha head, how can live with that?, not to mention can't instakill a wolf charging in with a bow, pisol can.

Our neighbours lost a brig because they left a chicken on board overnight and a wolf gnawed it's way through the hull while they slept.. I cannot even begin to describe how absurd that behaviour is

Yep, tamed a level 30 wolf, then a level 29 lion, both cant gain experience

Melee is not a good way to kill animals. You do too little damage, and take too much damage in the process. There is no balance in this. Even metal armor offers almost no protection. In metal, 3 or 4 hits by a normal wolf and you are almost dead. The Alphas are stupid. You don't even want to take tames out. Even an Alpha Pig is death to your tames if you do something to make it mad. Tonight, one of our guys had 3 bears with him, one he was riding. There were 5 pigs, and something attacked his bears, and the Alpha pig ended up getting hit also. Killed two of the bears before we could get the Alpha Pig to aggro to us and not the remaining bear, while he got away with that bear. It just feels pointless to spend so much time trying to get tames when they are killed so easily. Horses are useless. Too vulnerable.

I have seen some posts about this topic, but none of them show video evidence of the bug actually existing, just screenshots that could have been taken right after the tame. Here is a video showing the before and after a couple of kills with the wolf I tamed at level 30 (+ the 13 effectiveness level bonus) As you can clearly see the tame did not receive any experience. This tame has not been on a boat or anything crazy, just tried to farm experience, and nothing came. Please fix

On the Lawless islands, it's almost impossible to get a foothold for more than 5 minutes, without getting eaten by a croc, snake, wolf, or wildcats. I understand the need for lots, considering the player count, but rather there be more docile and be able to play. Especially with the issues I've had getting connected.

Just now noticed this post after over 1 week. What want to add, ppl omplaining about lack of food and vitamins just don't have high enough fortitude and don't bother even trying to survive. At start also had problems, but once got high enough fortitude and a place where can live so no longer had to worry about sailing huge distances getting fed became easy. Grab a spear and go into water, kill 1-2 fish and cook the meat, that's enough vitamin D for 1-2 hours. For C just eat berries. For B kill something, for example, killing a wolf gives enough food to have 1/3 of it spoil and the rest last for 1-2 hours of eating. For A same as berries, just find some veggies. As to the vitamin reduction perks, they don't stack, first gives 10%, next 10% and third 10% for a total of 30%, go into inventory and there are bonuses curently applying to character, that's not 60% reduction. However, don't take all perks, right now without those perks can't eat enough without overeating to keep vitamins, to be able to keep up with vitamin loss have to constantly chop or mine to lose hunger or take alot of damage, with all perks however the situation is the oposite, too many vitamins.

Some ppl want to play the survival part of this game, not to have an alpha on every stem and also this is an mmo, there should be no easy mode alphas to just hit to lvl, there's too many, can't even go deep into island bcs there might be an alpha wolf or something that will one-shot.

Why did you basically make a game that you dont want people to stay and play or buy? We are on the NA PVE server and everything is empty of players now. Your game is so shitty and unbalanced its ridiculous. I cannot get sap in the cold to make fur. I cant sail to get it because I get sunk by super fast Giant whales and ghost ships on a raft. I have cleared the beach on my island to make a dock and as soon as i killed the wolf 5 more wolves and 2 giant snakes spawned right on-top of me. WE killed your gay ass Hydra boss last night on D12 and got the crystal and went into the cave to get the powerstone but surprise surprise. %0 giant bats that respawn immediately and 20+ army of the damned or more. If you are specifically making this game for large groups to only have a shot you are morons and ill be glad to watch your game die. If you plan on actually keeping this game alive you better make it playable in small groups or all your servers will be empty in a month except PVP. Also your game is super broken atm, glitchy, laggy, the animals hit boxes are so screwed up where hits dont even register but you will still put 100 of the respawning all over a single player. Fix your shit you morons. This could be a great game if you got your heads out of your asses. I've never seen such incompetence and lack of thought put into something this big. You need to clean house at that company and get some new intelligent people to work for you. I made excuses for laying this game up until now because it looked promising and I thought it was fun but its just so broken and overly hard for no reason. I had to get on an island with 1000 cyclops, wolves, dinosaurs, to kill a Hydra as big as 10 houses, on an island i cannot lay anything down on. Adn then after all that you make me go into a cave that I have no chance of getting to the altar without a large heavily armed team?? WTF is wrong with you people. You are basically begging me to quit your stupid game. On the M12 island there is literally 700 crocodiles in 1 fucking spot. Have you ever head of two simple words, Balancing and play-ability. You have neither. And your player base has spoken. I started with a 10 man squad and am down to 2 because they all quit because of how unbalanced this game is. Id love a refund but im sure that will never happen.

I watched some of the fight everyone is referencing. Not picking sides here at all but at one point they had a wolf swimming towards a boat with like 10+ arrows in it and it was being shot with guns and cannons...it turned around and ran off...that seems a bit OP eh? I agree they had been unprepared for the ground attack but the mounts seems to have way too many HP's or armor or both.

Beastmastery is getting less fun, already having to deal with not being able to breed and certain skills not working properly now they are nerfing tames. my lvl 40 wolf got killed by a lvl 3 snake in 4 bites last night. why cant they work on fixing existing issues before throwing out nerfs.

The whale swim near my shore few days. Today it was bored and it stood on its head and it walked on land a hour later, like a giant worm. Please fix it, I want to home. (Coordinates are on first screenshot, EU PVE) p.s. I think whale hunts for a wolf.

Yep. Me too. Tamed lvl 30 wolf. Came in at 43 with nice stats but 0/10xp permanent. I hope this gets noticed. If you also have this issue bump this thread.

I also ran into this bug. It's not just in this tree for me, but this was the most clear case I found. Just had a crewmate test it out and he was dealing 100 damage with my wolf. I only do 50 with or without the buff.

From my knowledge of ark, that wolf is stuck inside a wall. Try to put it on wander until it walks outside the building. That might fix it

Been looking but no luck, the closest thing i have is a desert island with sugar cane several servers north of me Already did buddy, have been around 10-15 servers, and as soon as i get my base completed i will take my sloop and travel again hoarding back hunders of sap! But it is being a pain with constant wolf attack destroying the fur armor, i hope they balance things soon.

They should remove animals from attacking structures or ships unless there are big like elephants if you aggro them, I can't picture a wolf/crocodile eating a wood wall or ship hull honestly...they may be beasts but are not stupid.

this is my first time going out of my way to word my suggestions or give me 2 cents on a game (as i do love ark and i see atlas could really follow ark). I'm just going to ramble on issues i really feel need to be changed or tweaked until they work better for the players, currently I'm sitting on about 27 hours of in-game time and I'm playing on the PVE EU server. i know I'm playing PVE but the spawns seem really odd, just running around trying to gather resources to build my first sloop and i feel like I'm just playing a zombie horde game but with crocodiles. being as I'm only level 25 i only really have access to the bow and I'm dying way to many times. its not that I'm a rubbish shot but it just feels like fighting crocs and sneaky giant snakes instead of doing what id like to do such as build or look for treasure. crocodiles and other animals knock you off the boat, and eat you through the walls of your house. the respawn is all backwards, killed all the undead soldiers on a treasure point, went to dig up the loot and the fuckers respawned. the skill tree is wrong and feels like a massive grind fest. being currently a solo player why should i have to spend 2 or 3 points on unlocking the ability to craft better tools ? surely i should be able to spend the 2/3 points on getting access on better tools and get the tools. not to just unlock that skill tree. the bow has been dropped to 40 durability. i know its so i should work for gun or look for a better bow endergram but currently atm its killing 4 crocs before i have to repair it. aggressive mods should attack other aggressive mobs and should also take damage when under water for too long. you cant outrun a wolf, how can you escape or even defend yourself ? i may edit this and add new rants or suggestions if i remember them lol please don't just comment saying that this games early access and shits going to change. i know the games in early access. p.s. thanks for sorting out the lag, really enjoyed playing over the Christmas period guys!!

So last night after hours sailing i ended up taming a monkey and kept it on my shoulders whilst i sail back to home base as soon as i crossed grid to next server the monkey had disappeared i tried to look around a bit but with them being so small i could not find it this only seem to happen with shoulder pets i had a wolf on the boat and that has been fine crossing server but pets you keep on shoulder when you swap they seem to disappear it is not dead as my tribe log does not state it has died so it is out there somewhere in purgatory
