Hello, I'm coming to you to report on a problem that has occurred with our galleon. We were able to place a large shipyard and start build a galleon. So far so good, when we are done we release it. And here is the drama. At this time the galleon jump every where, turns around itself, takes a lot of damage and broke some plank. We repair it, and search what happened. When we released it, he hit the ground... how it's possible to be able to place a shipyard and can't release the ship inside?! Today, angry, i collected a lot of resources and tried to move the galleon alone. Same thing, he jump every where, I repair, etc... every time i raise anchor, sail open or not. but every time, instead of advancing towards the sea (good wind) he is getting closer to the beach... Soon i will find him in the house. Ok it's an alpha game, but it's not our fault if we can place a shipyard but can't release the ship inside... Be careful with yours.

Do you even play the game anymore? All I ever see from you is OMG DOOOOOM THE GAME IS DEAD OMG drama posts. While I agree this specific forum has a lot of toxic and self entitled players posting on it, that's hardly the reason players are leaving.

We're a small company of mature players looking for somewhere to build on a large companies claim in exchange for taxes once the new claim system goes live. We don't need much room, but are looking for a company that is powerful enough to protect the tenants living on their claims, especially when we're offline. We aren't interested in companies who are going to demand we let them dig through our stuff, or companies with alot of young guys in command...we just don't like drama. I can't wait to try this tool. I would have asked to be part of the test group if I had heard about this sooner. I have really been enjoying the game but am unable to find any land to claim and build my base on the Official NA PvE server. My computer has an i7 4790k and 32 GB of RAM. I tended to play ARK on clustered servers off of the same machine with no troubles up to 3 servers, adding the 4th would kill performance of my game. There is a lot less going on in this game per server than ARK does, especially since my group will mainly be living off our ship with small amounts of island base building to facilitate restocking the ship and upgrading it. I am very keen to try this out. Can you please update the main post with a link for the download when it is ready for general consumption? I can totally see this facilitating single player and small group play for the majority of the community that is fed up with the drama around the current land claim systems.

People in ARK and therefore in Atlas are very emotional about their things, about their gameplay about the fights they have. Someone once told me that the ARK community has more drama than any latino Soap Opera and I full heartily agree. And when emotions alone aren't a reason enough to argue (since emotions are a really bad base to argue upon), people drop insults to give their - otherwise fact lacking - argument weight. Works with some people, but not with everyone.

For a PvP game - when something is in abundance isn't not worth fighting for and isn't stimlating PvP. So it's basic game design for such type of games. What keeps such games alive is the constant drama of alliances faiiling apart, backstabs and generally wars that destroy stuff and you need to rebuild. Haven't you played such games? When there isn't such massive resources sink or emerging content you eventually build your small base and get bored even as solo...

I said you have the appearance of it due to the dramatic approach of using such a small pool of data. If you really think 3 weeks of game play data is enough to make these claims then feel free to continue, I'll continue to assume that you are just trying to stir up drama rather than have any kind of meaningful discourse.

Having played ARK since the very beginning, and seeing how the early access played out there, I am more than satisfied at this point. The balance issues and bugs are frustrating, especially to a person who works for a living, however I know that the issues will be ironed out over time. I have gotten more than my money worth in play time and absolute fun with friends. The thrill of that first sail on a raft, then the larger ships, and the subsequent joy and danger make this a hit IMHO. The only drawback I have seen is the people. Trolls, ignorant 20 year olds who are going on 12, exploiters, and people who don't understand the different purposes of each play type. PVP is that. Take all you can and win. PVE is different, learn to trade with those who have things, make room for more community. Don't seize entire islands and hoard the resources-travel, explore, trade and be a community. PVP is a land grab and a resource grab, it's a battle. PVE is not meant to be a land grab and one should not need to battle or have drama over resources and land. I wish that one needed to be approved for temperment, patience and humor when being allowed to play early access games. Those who are rude, self-entitled, and do not have the overall maturity to play an early access title should not be allowed to play until it is released. Feedback should be constructive, concise and polite. Useful and unbiased. Thank you for creating a new, unique, and fascinating game. You've already paid for the game. Producers of Atlas have made all they're going to make off of you. What would it matter to them if you continued to play? Stop the completely nonthreatening claims that you will quit, and just quit if you're going to. The griefers are causing enough drama already.

Will be selling land after update. Our location is in low desert. It has a lot of resources from metal/crystal to honey and sugars. We're right on the edge of a temperate lawless zone and only a few sectors away from tundra where turnips grow. There's nothing that we cant get within a few sectors. The sector itself is very friendly, a lot of helpful people - no serious drama. We laugh at "Alpha" tribes on PVE so we don't hold things over anyones head for any powertrips, we aren't pathetic anotherwords - so taxes are very reasonable and we're working out methods for people to pay 0% tax which isn't ironed out just yet but basically you we dont get a cut of your mats but we ask for help in other areas ie helping with boss fights. In regard to land size, again we own a lot so there's plenty of areas we'd be willing to let you move into. At this time we aren't flatout selling land as in we remove flags, and you set your own but we are planning on using the new system instead. We'll be willing to help share with smaller groups our breeding/taming structures if need be (we have elephants, rhinos, wolves, tigers, etc). Yeah, I agree, the SFX need work, and the constant moaning and groaning are unnecessary, we don't need audio reminders every fraction of a second. We get it, you're hungry/thirsty/swinging an ax or whatever. No need to be an obnoxious drama queen about it.

In "About this Game" on Steam it says: Start small then expand your spheres of influence from a small island, up to an unstoppable pirate empire that spans across the oceans. So to me it doesn't really seem like it's intended for solo play, it's about teamwork and cooperation and working as a larger team. A cool concept, but I guess we'll see how it goes. Seems like right now only "the Chinese" are forming an empire and whooping butt. And yep, I play on a private server with modified settings and it makes a world of difference. Intended for it or not, it's actually a super fun game when you tweak a few settings to your liking and don't have to deal with all the drama. I'm optimistic to see where it goes, despite all the crazy tantrums people are throwing.

I wonder… I am just playing with my buddy as we are not interested in joining up larger orgs. Had my share of that and more (the drama) in several other games like eve-online. I don't want it. Q: Is there any point in having a character in the nearby future when the game continues if you do not want to join up? I don't think that the "pirate" ones in bigger organisations feel any remorse when they take/demolish anything we (2 players) could create. It feels so far that we will never be able to play it our way (unless we become members of a large(r) company 'to defend us' or to 'help'. In the last 20 years I have never had a good experience with larger organisations -don't bother to tell me that your org would be different- ) So the answer could be it's ark... 'eaaaarrr' I ment pirate-ark, its the way it is and well … live with that. which is fine, like Its just not fun for small coop play or teams less then x people. I hope there are some other thoughts on making stuff playable in later gameplay. (I fear its not there, making investments in time just fun for a short term period) Q: I have seen twitch players desperately trying to find spots to settle... and we experience the same. The map is big. we have done over 17 hours travelling around and found only islands that are crowded, overly full or blocked by red dots. Not to talk of some very aggressive people. (very rude in voice, not just in game doing pirate stuff - not that I care … its just a remark) Despite my first question, is there any point in getting around to find a place we can build into something nice and make a ship a little bigger then a raft or is that also pointless? I fear/suspect that the answer will be "team up or go" or that this will be forced by game mechanics and/or the pirate theme. (and that grievers have nothing to hold them back, calling the pirate theme every time they do their grieving" …. and why are there sooo many ghost ships? lately I notice that I cant travel without the presence of 2-3 ghost ships around in visual range. (including floating debris.) I have more concerns and I dislike mini-games.... but ok. can learn to live with that. for now its travel-die-travel-die... as soon as they implement xp drain on dying that will be a point to reconsider the game in total.... not happening yet. but who knows. I really do like the water and details in the game. I wish more games would have that and one hour travel between islands is also no problem. I love that. i am not in a hurry and like to explore. (while it is possible) who knows... I might find a monkey churning an organ. …. or a big bottle of (Fallout Nukka) Bethesda rum. cya! or not Darion Blackwater.

Here is a guy claiming my main base on the PvE server while I am actively farming mats at my gate. The contesting flag last 16 hrs . Come on guys I don't need to tell you how dumb that is do I? I can't kill him to stop him and if I leave to do anything he gets my whole base, as a side note he can also claim another flag next to this one and I have to choose what one to lose. An active zone should not even be claimable unless a period of non activity has gone by .....more than 24 hours by the way, we would like to sleep now and then and maybe talk to people not in the game like our families.... The only choice you have given me is to sit here for 16 hours and hope he doesn't just place another after that. what you have created is PvP where the defender can't protect them selves. this ruins PvE , a place commonly chosen by those that like to build and/or roleplay or simply don't want the drama of offline raiding that your sister game ARK had and now you have put that right there. I want to love this game, but the extended steam refund is looking better and better all the time to my crew and I . Most of the unofficial servers are tiny by comparison and because of that don't offer that much exploration or playing area, and you keep murdering PvE official so I don't see another option if this isn't fixed fast.

a guy named 'Thor Haugen' ingame forum name here is Thor (𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐫#0666 on discord) that was in our company just demolished both our large shipyard and medium one, we were building ships and were close to finnish them in both, he then took our gold and all of our metal and blueprints and dropped them so that they despawned then he left the guild.. he has been in my company from start but has not been online since i invited him when the servers went up.. i dont know what he gained from it since he left before i could kick him and he was not in our VC so he could not hear our reactions. so from what i can tell he only did it because he is a bad person. no other reason. im just suprised.. he seemd like a really nice guy and noone had any drama with him. anyway i just wanted to warn the rest of the company leaders out there, i am on PVP-EU but you never know.. he may switch servers. so for your own sake, do NOT invite him to your guild/company. and if you do, just remember that i did warn you. and yes i get this is a pirate game. but this is not beeing a pirate, this is just being a griefing kid.
