Yeh well as you're obviously a mind reader and know every move your allies are going to make including everyone in their company before you click invite, I suppose it would be safe for you. But for anyone who is not cognitive or telepathic I'd recommend not allowing access to your stuff.

it's funny how many times that excuse has been used in history... But anyway the point is we all play the game our own way just because it's not the way I choose to play doesn't give me the right to call someone an idiot.

I can't get my npc's to open the gunports, i've been doing it manually. Does the podium have to be centered or anything?

I don't care either way but I bet a lot of the people that are against fast travel in atlas still play other MMO's that do have it.

Just because some people want to play in small groups or solo doesn't mean they are idiots, so what does that make someone who joins the bullies, just so they don't get picked on?

Oh yeh I never thought of that (sarcasm). of course I broke the alliance, but it's too late after isn't it. So I say again i'd rather not take the chance.

Why o why do some pvp'ers think they are some sort of elite and deserve a medal or something. Yeh big deal you throw missiles at each other, wow. I used to enjoy pvp a lot until it just became offline griefing and then boasting about it afterwards. At one time no one would even bother fighting someone who was too easy cos there would be no glory in it. Now look, offline raiding cos they are too scared to fight a real battle. It's these people who should go back to pve cos obviously real mano et mano pvp is too scary for them.

yeh but if anyone in your company high enough can invite any ally, then they could prob give permissions too. Too risky for me. Especially if you fall out with a company member.

I don't think that allies having more access to my stuff is a good thing, one ally I had took my best tame and never gave it back, thanks to a company member who left it at his base. I can only imagine what would happen if they could use my ships too.

I always got lag when a company had the shores surrounded by shipyards, but that was pc. We have asked for one shipyard for all ships but then you'd prob get more lag cos everyone would surround their bases with large shipyards and no small ones. Like I say though it doesn't just cause lag on the xbox, and it doesn't seem to make much difference how much ram you have either. Anyway the OP isn't just an xbox player he's an atlas player and has a right to his opinion on this forum. Could we just get over the childish xbox vs pc issue? this isn't a damn football match.

I think it saves online, literally every ten minutes, cos i cant find any form of save folder even for company flag designs or ship sails.

Yeh this happened to me, but I went back the next day and battled them again. It took over 200 cannonballs, ballista bolts and just about anything I could fire to beat him. But then I defeated the final camp and when I went to claim, it said there was still a ship to kill, and there was another one! The amount you get for the effort on WPE just isn't worth it. I've turned them off now.

I used to use just speed sails, but now I use at least one handling sail aswell, It doesn't cut the speed down too much either, but it allows you some movement still when the speed sails have no wind to sail by.

I got the time out yesterday, then when I finally got logged in, after an hour of playing, the game just crashed my xbox.

Ok guys I don't know if you've done something here or I just never noticed but the ship paint is looking far too worn and shabby now. I understand it's not supposed to look like a shiny new vette, but I don't want it to make my ships look like shipwrecks either. Could you give us an option perhaps whether to have the weathered look or newer looking paint? also the white and lighter colours are still really no use at all.

Atlas may have begun its existence as an ark dlc but it has way surpassed that now, I don't give ark much of my time now atlas is so damn good. Yeh if you like being surrounded by peoples lag creating pets and building griefers then I guess you will prefer ark anyway. But as it stands even in these early days atlas has well surpassed ark imo.

I played eu pve from pc release up until xbox release and I loved it, i was on an island in d7 lawless and it was a brilliant community, apparently still is. I got no real grief to speak of and only a small amount of blocking was going on. If you want to play online try it out, eu pve d7 lawless, give it a go.

One thing about the sloop, use one medium speed sail instead of 2 small, it's faster, and easier to solo with.

Iv'e been doing the WPE on sp, and I've just disabled them anyway now. The ship battles great but all in all It got very samey with barely any reward except empty buildings, and they are literally just target practice. The ships good though but it only has one sailor on board and took over 200 cannonballs plus ballista and guns to sink. Fun though.

Ok guys and gals on dev team, I love the skies in atlas I could watch them for ages and frequently do, especially the sun rays. But the one thing that is missing are rainbows when it rains. Hows about it guys and gals, what about adding rainbows to those beautiful skies?

Build a schooner instead, either put one large speed sail on it for solo or hire an npc and have a small handling sail on it too. If you go too far overweight with a ship it will slow it down, try and keep to a third of the total weight if you can. But when the ship levels you can always put points in ship weight. you need to be fast for the sotd, and a small handling sail will help you catch a breeze, whereas the large speed sail is just for speed. A sloop is just too small even for a solo player. you can put cannons on during or after building. If you do some fishing you get a small amount of gold and this will help you hire your first npc crew for the sails etc. Happy sailing.

yeh it is smaller, but totally the wrong shape for my ships.

actually shovelling for salt can be a life saver especially if you use a food bag. Also digging uses your stomach meter so you can eat for vits. But it is a lotta work for a small amount granted.
