NPC pirate ships are horrible unbalanced. i am playing solo/host non dedicated with my wife on Xbox. We build a War brig. We can battle and defeat ships of the Damned, at one point up to six at the time. We won. Our ship needed some repairs but nothing too serious. Then we decided to take on a single level 2 NPC Schooner at the pirate base. Omg we literally did nada damage to it. After 15 min fight and 120 cannon balls later we had to retreat, because our ship was so damaged. And NPC still had like 95% health left. And we hit most of the time. I seriously hope they are not supposed to be that OP. This was only a level 2 schooner. I don’t even wanna think about if we encounter a brig or galleon. So we will definitely not be raiding NPC pirate ships if this is a thing. There is no point. Only suicide. Anyway just thought you should know.

Yeah exactly same question I have... Back when ark came out I went out and bought one extra Xbox just to run that game as dedicated server alone. Really disappointing to see Atlas is not doing the same. Public or official servers are a nightmare. Either crowded, rubber banding, toxic players, annoying world wipes and resets. Xbox dedicated server was super awesome for Ark. because the game would run super nice. Something me and my select friends really enjoyed. Sad to see Atlas didn’t follow that road, when the game is so similar in software.

For Ark and that game alone I went out and bought one extra Xbox just so that I could host my own dedicated server that me and my select friends could play on. Any reason why this is not an option for Atlas on Xbox? Will you consider that in the future perhaps? Pretty much the only reason I bought Atlas was because I hoped Xbox dedicated server would be a thing, since both games are similar in software. No doubt I was really disappointed to find out otherwise. Anyway I hope you will consider. My friends and I will never play on the public servers, because that is just one big nightmare with rubber banding, toxic players and annoying world resets now and then. Yes I am aware you can rent your own servers, but I can also rent a car for that same amount of $$$. Ark was great because of the freedom to make your own private Xbox server. Sad to see Atlas is not in that “Boat”

Hi. When I start a non dedicated host game and my wife tries to join, then she gets the loading screen and just before she gets to the character customization screen, then the screen goes all black. Nothing happens from there. I have tried to join her non dedicated game. Same thing happens. Ergo the Co op aspect of the game do not work. Cause you can’t join host. ps. Not related, but hope you consider to allow us to host our own dedicated servers like Ark. I have an Xbox just for dedicated server use.
