Well it's ship related but the shipyard needs a snap feature, I'm sick of taking ages to square it up with my base only to find it's still at an angle.

Also for the solo player he would already have had to completed all the end game tasks to get to the sub anyway. The only good thing is at least mythos is actually easier to get than some of the other stuff you'll have to do to get the sub in the first place.

I've played atlas since release on pc and now i'm playing on xbox too, and tbh I've never used mods anyway so I wouldn't be missing anything. The only mod I was ever tempted to download was the graph mod that gave you extra and better looking buildings and items.

As far as I know xboxers can't do the mods yet, so maybe that's why your server is a no show. Although I used to play on private servers when I first started and they both disappeared from my list never to be seen by me again, after starting over twice I stuck to the official.

someone on youtube solo'ed the hydra they were lev 50 and took 1 hour and 45 minutes and used over 1000 stone arrows. Now that's either absurd dedication, or they just don't go outside.

damn it was hard enough for a solo player to get the sub b4, but if it now runs on mythos?... It might aswell run on dodo droppings if you're solo now.

how'd you manage to get the sub? I can't even get the hydra to spawn on my blackwood map. Might have to cheat code him in soon.

Yeh but to do that the bowsprit would have to be on your ship, which frankly we should have anyway without having to buy it as a figurehead.

Spawn at a freeport. . craft some tools.Buy a ramshackle sloop from seaport vendor for mats. Grab some fish or fish with a fishing rod.you get skin gold and fish if you do. sail to a lawless island,avoiding SOTD. D7 is great for a first base. Enjoy the rest of your game.

yeh but in real life you wouldn't be eating and drinking every few minutes would you.

A lot of mmo's seem to be going down the route of making players constantly eat and drink, it's totally unrealistic in some games I play almost every few minutes. Fallout 76 is the worst for me so far. I wouldn't mind if it was for realism and you had to eat every few hours or just for healing.

I'm guessing some of the variety comes with territory of making legendaries of different sorts. I assume they needed to make the mats for superior items different and much harder to farm otherwise they might not bother with them. end game items like the sub and torps also have harder to farm mats, to basically make them harder to build. This especially makes sense for pvp.

yeh My wrong on the shipyard I was thinking about a suggestions thread we all chipped into about combining them. I forgot they didn't do it. As for the gold it's not as easy as it was now to get when you are solo. And how easy it is to get or not is irrelevant, I'm talking about the increase.

I don't know if this is just an sp thing but I went to buy a cos skin from the vendor in blackwood today and instead of the officers outfit only costing 15g apiece like it did b4 update, the whole outfit is now 500g!!!!. the AOD outfit is now 5000g and hydra heavy 3000g? please tell me this is a glitch? But the worst thing for me is still the bowsprit guys, just because your ship designers don't know ship anatomy and think a bowsprit is a figurehead, why should that mean I now have to pay 500g for it? 400 was bad enough. And ships just do not look right without them. Also I thought the idea was to cut down lag and clutter in this game so why does the large shipyard now only make the brig and not the schooner? on a plus note thanks for upgrading the fishing.

Have you checked the creature count sliders in settings? Or have you got a private server?

Hey devs I'm aware you are busy so this is just a few suggestions for the future. As you want us all to spend more time at sea could you start working on the ship decor, ie rear lanterns, Different customize options like acanthus patterns that we can place ourselves, and stuff for the captains cabin? but anything in general to make the ships look more realistic would be great . Many thx.

I dunno if it's still the same since map change but D7 used to have some really good islands for a lawless base.

Hold down the small left button under the X box symbol on your controller, this brings up a radial menu. On your ship, face the deck and hold Y, this also brings up a radial menu. Be careful though as you can accidentally hit scuttle or demolish. I was sorely tempted to say stop being lazy and take ten minutes to get to know the controller eh.

That's probably got more to do with microsoft than anyone else, I got fallout 76 on disc for £12, it was full price on the microsoft site.

Yeh player shops etc could become an essential part of pyrate community life if they are implemented properly ie trade, fencing hijacked goods etc. But at the moment the upkeep makes them pointless unless you just need a gold sink cos you've got too much!

it's on one of the sub menu reels that you bring up by holding down the left hand small button under the X I think.

Also always go one ship size bigger with your sails, ie a schooner sails really fast with one large speed sail, not 2 medium. And with only one sail you can sail solo when you need to. Try not to go over a third of your ship weight with addons and benches etc cos it will slow you down the more stuff you add.

Im gonna see if I can upload my pc atlas sail designs onto the xbox version, will be a bonus if I can.

spawn at a freeport to start, buy a sloop with mats from the sailor at the dock and head for a lawless island, also stock up on fish too and berries and plants and meat. put a small fire on your boat to cook with. happy sailing.

yeh on the hydra island where the first trader stands as you go up the steps from the freeport shore, next to him is a sap tree.
