  1. The "i couldn't see any problem, so there can't be any". Classic forum post. I have enough money, so there isn't any poverty in the world. Case closed.
  2. sotd pop up way too close. increase the view distance on them by a considerable amount please.
  3. After replacing some standard large ship cannons on my galleon with blue ones, the destroyed standard guns apparently weren't removed from the weapon station group they were assigned to. I also have a feeling they still count towards my ship's total weight.
  4. You wouldn't be supposed to win a 1vs75 fight, but you definitely could have a serious chance of escaping. And with the right setup you could definitely win even a 1vs5 situation. If you sting into the hornets nest and went to a station (island) in the territory of a huge coalition, you'd obviously need the numbers to match them, but that could be avoided and you could just engage smaller groups of them when they were hauling stuff about. There need to be exploitable weaknesses for EVERYTHING! Even for big numbers. Maybe a massive AOE damage something that will hit tightly clumped fleet harder that smaller ones that are spread further apart. Maybe some long range weapons that get a really huge bonus when used on smaller ships? Or just start giving heavier ships some real inertia. Galleons accelerating like a fricking top fuel dragster while reaching formula 1 top speed pretty much removes every chance of employing any sort of strategy to kill them, regardless of their admittedly crappy turning rate.
  5. where can i ask them to remove all tames from the game entirely and come back with something else that does not suck as bad?
  6. Do you know EVE Online? The mmo with the purest and most unforgiving asymmettical pvp ever? Guess what, there are people in the game that will single handedly wipe the floor with your lousy, ignorant, arrogant ass. Or at least they will escape in 99.9% of the cases. I find it incredibly repulsive and arrogant for a member of a big tribe to tell the smaller ones to just become bigger and that it was ok to lock smaller tribes out of the chances of ever succeeding against a larger group. Fucking brainless zerg wankers. It is a fundamental flaw with the game that progress of any sort is always one dimensional. Bigger is always better. Larger numbers are always better. There is no way of exploiting the fact that the opposition brought too many big guns and too few of the small ones.

Wait, i got a full suit of fur armor. Are you telling me i am not supposed to wear it on desert servers? And if you are solo and don't have corp members to take care of the flag during your vacation, what frickin business do you have owning an island? Why don't you just live in lawless? You need to realize that is is your own decisions that are making life miserable for you.
  8. Have you tried it on the official servers instead of some ragtag private pile of crap server?
  9. No. Thats an issue with this game being utterly retarded. You can do treasure maps, as long as you are using tames. You can explore islands quickly, as long as you are usimg tames. You can gather resources quickly, as long as you are using tames. You can easily fight alpha creatures, as long as you are using tames. And there is no flipping alternative. You have to use tames, and that's bullshit! What idiot came up with the utterly idiotic idea to make tames do fricking everything in this game? Why do i have to tame a whole fricking zoo in order to get anything done? I don't want a cuddle zoo simulator with a pirate related mini game tied into it. Give us ways of doing things without a fricking tame! If you want the little wabbits and fuzzy wuzzies and beary bearies and elephanties and to cuddle and wuddle them all the time, maybe hello kitty online is the game you are looking for!
  10. i think we are meant to be thankful that the seagrapes are "real loot" instead of just seagrape blueprints.
  11. What exactly is this about? Are you calling out another player? What is it you are trying to tell us? Why is it addressed to "You...." ?!? On a scale from "are you fucking kidding me" to "never in a million years", how likely do you think it is that the person you're obviously targeting is ever going to read this? Care to post in your native language and have google translate letting us find out what you meant?
  12. Bring a schooner with 3 ballistas or even better swivel guns with canister ammo mounted to the rear. Find a suitable hydra island that is not bugged or totally braindead in regards of hydra position. Personally, i highly recommend starting in D12, but there might be another. You can easily do C6 and H6 from there. One (and only one) person go searching the hydra (and only hydra) on the island and kite her to your ship. You can and you should do naked runs for this, you only need to stay in her aggro range. If you see her glitching behind some trees or rocks, apply a zig zag kiting pattern to get her to go around (hence only one person kiting). Kite her with the schooner and kill with ballistas or swivels. Get the artifact key and sail to the nearest surrounding golden age ruins to turn it in for the powerstone. Pro tip: Give up all hopes of those "devs" ever fixing this retarded bullshit. Ever. Do it now!
  13. I am almost 100% certain you accidentally looked at one of your NPC crew members, because that totally fits their naming scheme. Check your sails crew.
  14. Ok. Do you think that there should be something that can give mega corps a run for their money? Or should we simply let them do whatever they want, once they reach the member cap? Don't you think there should be some kind of adversaries? Something that they need to do but which is hard for them to do? Because i sincerely do. I think that nobody should be handed end game rewards for free, just because they managed to join a big corp, all the while failing at literally everything there is to do in this game. There must be some kind of balance, as in rock-paper-scissors. As in: * Mega corp beats smaller corp (strength in numbers, no natural adversaries) * Smaller corp beats tiny/solo (strength in numbers) * Tiny corp / solo beats mega corp (guerilla tactics to counteract megas not having natural adversaries) It cannot be allowed that there is literally nothing to fear for mega corps. There needs to be *something* that they have to be very, very afraid of. Heck, lets have an invincible NPC always go for the strongest corp there is and destroy them, back to square one. Give them some kind of cosmetic reward / leaderboard fame for becoming so strong that the beast came after them. If a new player has no chance to ever get past the current #1 corp, there won't be many people wanting to join the game.
  15. Because you should not auto win any and all conflicts just because you have more players than anyone else. It is not a penalty for "grouping". It is a penalty for "swarming". If there isn't going to be anything that could stop the largest group of asshats on a server from spiraling out of control, then at least add proper guerrila warfare, so small groups can stay out of reach of the larger ones by *effectively hiding away* and doing hard hitting skirmishes against the larer groups. Large armies, by their very nature, should be a lot slower in their capabilities to react to anything, whereas a small group of people could strike literally any time, anywhere. Where is the equivalent for that in this game? Asymmetric warfare (in a GAME, mind you) is all fine and well, as long as there is a way for each side to come out successfully. It should be *different* things a small group needs to do in order to win, as for the larger group. But simply making one side not having ANY chance to win a fight just because they're fewer in numbers is lazy, stupid and shows a significant lack of understanding of how asymmetrical battle can be a satisfying and FUN experience for ALL involved parties. This is a fricking GAME, mind you, and i am as much a paying customer as your fellow player, who wants to have FUN and not only get farmed by the bigger corps. Also, stating that there is no problem simply because YOU don't have any problem, because you are part of the largest corp in the game only shows how little you are willing to help anyone but yourself, and how much you are part of the problem, as opposed to being part of the solution. Bite me!
  16. Make it so that you can't lose your stuff when you're not logged in and more people might be inclined to play pvp. I know i would, but i will never accept having to rebuild my ship every single fucking day just because a bunch of 50-something shit-for-brains found the hiding spot for my schooner. I'd love to do pvp, but losing my ship because of player vs nothing is mind-boggingly stupid. Also, where is the fucking incentive to keep corp size small? Where is the mechanism that would allow a smaller company to succeed, or even just barely survive? There must be a way for small corps to seriously hurt mega corps! Idk maybe make them have exponential upkeep, scaling with corp size?
  17. EU PVE C8 Same thing. Uninstalled BattleEye, removed the files, verified game with steam, started atlas. Got prompted to install battleeye again, which i confirmed. Joined "new" server (EU PVE again). Chose start region. Spawn where i left. Few mins later got kicked again with the same message: BattleEye client not responding.
  18. What's there not to like about it? I had SO MUCH FUN hunting down the stupid thing, sailing across the whole frickin map, which takes all day. Only to then be confronted with a 3-4 fps sh*t show, consisting of a never-meant-to-be-playable gauntlet run against a truckload of creatures that will * one shot you * block the entrance * destroy your ship Bring along the random casual noob that will cluelessly and frantically run up and down the beach, aggroing EVERY CREATURE ON THE FRICKIN ISLAND, bunching them all up nicely and placing them near the beginning of the run before he dies, leaving a thick pile of mobs so you won't even be bored by the early parts of the run. And if you have to call it quits for a day because.. idk, you have a job or go to college or have literally anything to do other than chasing the stupid FOY, then SCREW YOU! Errr. i mean. YOU GET TO HAVE THE SAME FUN AGAIN TOMORROW! Apparently, it is the impression of the devs that when you can't commit all those 24 hours per day into playing this game, you are pathetic and weak and deserve to run about with a hefty -10% to frickin EVERYTHING. (Side note: it is also a nice notion to have your ship destroyed if you anchor in a freeport for even ONE DAY when you don't have the time to spend another frickin hour in order to sail to another server) And somebody even got paid to create this nonsense. And they probably even think they did a fine job at creating a truly fun and worthwhile experience.
  19. Did you anchor in a freeport? Because apparently, it is fine to punish people who don't have time for sailing 30min+ until they're out of a region which ***WILL*** destroy your ship when you leave it there for 10 IRL hours.
