  1. Funny part is bigger Alphas can only be countered using the idiotic OPed flame arrows. But then they also die in like 3-4 hits. Guess how you survive Golden Ruins islands, naked with flame arrows...
  2. No change known to come. We agree in our company and we are landlords. If claim wasn't bad enough, the tax system is just using others as slavery. It´s nice to check the bank a few times a day while you slowly trying to reach the crafting stations and storage lockers afterwards. The only way you realistically can get claims from others, and it again favours the big is to get them from inactive players or people with non connected claims. In theory you could own and instant contest the entire map on a tile with a single tame or player.
  3. Double walls and even better if you raise the pen itself 2 floors up if one manages to glitch through.
  4. And I doubt they began with the "public" stuff. How long haven´t they just been hoarding masses of planks, cannons, materials, tames, BPs etc. Adding level ups and so forth.
  5. ARK survived by having lots of servers where everyone could find somewhere. It was just a numbers game. The current fall in population is normal, however what happens is existing companies expand and keep. So the real issue is influx of players. Anyone coming to a mega lag lawless area only to see everything taken/foundation spammed and anything claimable is long gone wont last long in the game.
  6. I didn´t know the Galleon was so bad. The Brigantine on the other hand can turn on a dime with just a single handling sail attached. But it just shows how bad the sailing model currently is. At least up to and with the Brigantine bigger means better in all aspects.
  7. 24 to be able to reach 52, 23 more for 53, 24 more for 54 and so on.
  8. On servers with lag, the cyclones moves "faster" and hit multiple times compared to a lagfree. Same applies for SOD. All while the player moves in a stop and go path.
  9. As a landowner I can tell you it´s a negative feedback cyclus. More land means more taxes that is passive income we can sit on our rear ends doing nothing for. And before people mention upkeep as a solution, treasure hunters will likely pay it all and then some. So you are back with a real life issue, rich gets richer, poor gets more poor. The only limit is the 30% tax that pretty much 95%+ sets.
  10. None. The best answer is cloth armour and wetness.
  11. You cant get the masts through can you, at medium sized it gets taller than the gate.
  12. I was surprised you could climb the ladder, but the new meta evolves fast. There are other ways to sink people that is a lot easier than weight or crew numbers. If you pay attention 24/7?
  13. I don't get what the purpose of Alphas are in Atlas besides killing players and whatever is around them. In ARK you could get loot from them as a reward, here you just get some more meat and hide etc.
  14. Never seen one. And even so, if they always move....?
  15. You can move more cargo in the same time frame with speed sails I bet. On PvE you rarely see weight sails either. Try make a race in 2 ships with the different setups and you see how big the difference is. The problem is simply that speed sails and the way their bonus works is too good to do any other alternative unless you want to penalize yourself or got an exotic setup. Weight sails are mainly for the floating base setup unfortunately.
  16. Placed it on the top deck, no issue. Worked on the Schooner "ceiling" deck and on the Brigantine regular premade deck.
  17. Only issue I got is that the better gear doesn´t auto equip like the default common.
  18. Rock currently cant be used for anything. There is a matrix on the Wiki: https://atlas.gamepedia.com/Seeds The best plot type is temperate wood/thatch since they can take anything. Placing plots on a ship also becomes wood. So you can sail to a temperate location, place the plots and they will be Temperate Wood no matter where you go. To get all 14 plants you may need a Brigantine or a bit of creativity with a Schooner. Irrigation works as well if you need.
  19. It´s an oversight by the developers I guess. Copy/paste from ARK in that matter.
