  1. i prefer the screaming of the chinese as i blow into their breeding pen and nuke their stock
  2. Thing is, i dont think you even read my post. there wouldn't be pve safe zones like you're implying. Just fractions to spread out the population instead of forcing people to join large groups else getting stomped by one. The way I described, your already in a pre defined alliance so to speak, and your company defines your role in the game. The traders will want to be near the nation Freeport, the templars all around the edges to protect the nation, and the pirates pretty much anywhere lotting and robbing. Pvp will be anywhere... even potentially a civil conflict within the nation... templars against pirates and law breakers... pirates against traders and templars. Could be very cool
  3. ya know.. for once i gotta agree with realist. i believe factions or (nations) would save pvp. maybe even forced character allocation to keep the factions even. maybe a game function that removes an 10 day (or what ever day) inactive player from a faction where they still keep their character and stats but theyre assigned a new faction upon logging back in, according to balance. an "invite a friend to faction" feature if there's an instance the factions are imbalanced. 4, each with their own main freeport and theme.. north west, north east, south east, south west. name them whatever. Make a 2 tile wide lawless zone between all the factions and a good sized lawless circle around the center kraken tile. company types/classes with a time and carnage scaled crime system. trader (high defence but low offence with increased sailing and weight buffs) pirate (outlaw with high damage and pirateering buffs but lowish defence) templar (can accept bounties or notifications from some sort of anticrime dispatcher of enemy nation pirates or crime offenders nearby, evenly offence and defence. cant attack trader companies unless they commit a crime of worth) BOOM thatd be hawt @Jatheish
  4. with the current state of the game, i would not come back if my character was wiped. i could care less about structures, tames and that bullshit. i dont got the time nor the ambition to get to lvl 100 again... not in the games current form. discovery points are cancer.
  5. yeah a ton of things have changed... but a lot of important things have been completely neglected. pros: performance has gotten better noticeably for regular server performance, though not enough for big ship battles or server player cap latency. empire system has been replaced with a colony system. auto decay is a thing and inactive/forgotten structures will disappear in 10 days.. good for clearing up abandoned islands for potential newcomers or for finding an opening to place a fob and assault a pillar spammed island. time sinks that that used to be too overwhelming it would impact game play (like base maintenance, gold and food distribution to npc's of large bases) has eased up on grindiness with claim flag improvements and a silo. cons: devs seem to be focusing their primary efforts promoting a short term money grab instead of improving their product for long term success. almost complete lack of direction, complete lack of content... 9 months of basicly nothingness in an advertised 2 year game development... and now it seems they're putting all their "efforts" into launching on xbox while their super vague supposed "road map" wont take place until after said money grab. At Least its announced to be crossplay. almost complete disregard for their current community/backers and their efforts until it blows up in their face. pvp is broken as fuck. huge content wall behind large group bosses. leveling (discovery points) is game breaking and annoying, small groups and casuals have no chance of competing against large groups and no lifers, in that regard. current player base has dwindled to almost nothing. no economy... well, not a working one.
  6. Thank you for clarifying.
  7. honestly, i pretty much give up on this game's dev team for the foreseeable future.. so many great suggestions and very well thought out questions were offered to them... plenty of time to make a decent presentation... and what did they do with the opportunity to redeem themselves after they finally made a good move and announced a new lead designer to the last 0.01% of their actual player base that remained loyal to the cause ... a fuckin garbage graphic with a couple bullet points... calling it a fuckin "road map"... and they didn't answer anything of substance except notify the community that the game is STILL substantially going NOWHERE and will be going nowhere, for a long time... that stream was a complete and utter pile of steaming bullshit.. i literally puked in my mouth watching it. the final nail in the coffin in my mind. i tried so hard to keep the faith/hope/denial going... im fuckin done. Good bye atlas, ill probably pick you up in a year or if xbox launch is crossplay... but as i see it right now, fuck that. Hello star citizen. no matter how long it takes, at least they're using their communities support, efforts and time correctly instead of spitting in our faces like grapeshot is doing.
  8. youre trippin. eso is not even close to empty.. and if youre talking about cyrodiil servers, you can thank battlegrounds and champion points being way to OP for casuals. xbox and ps4 are bumpin hard still as well. One tamriel is probably what saved the game tbh.
  9. indeed. i did some research on the guy, i think he may have worked in guild wars 2? hope he has what it takes to lead these boiz. godspeed.
  10. idk man. we might just be fucked. My job will be to help the game get its bearings and -- together with the rest of the dev team -- work with a singular mission in mind: Make ATLAS the ultimate pirate experience. prepare the buttpirate memes. "arggggg gimmie that booty! "
  11. Thank God. Well overdue and perhaps too late. Star citizen will probably be released before atlas at this rate..
  12. 40 - 45 base fortitude is solid in pvp when lvl 80+
  13. meh. no mans sky was a shit game for YEARS without any real content besides aimlessly exploring and spotting fucking trees and stupid creatures were the highlight of your adventure. Been a few months since i last installed it but as far as i remember they still had not implemented any viable form of PVP which is the main reason i hated it... (not counting the pre launch hype it might be a working star citizen) There is still hope for Atlas although its been treated like a neglected, malnourished and about to die child of ark, by the devs... I wish there was a video game CPS so this child can live a long fulfilling life instead of being broken, abused and left to rot in some dusty bargen bin. Atleast theyre doing Q&A again so we have an idea on whether life support is even possible. Someone do something! SAVE THIS CHILD! *beep*... *beep*......*beep*.................*beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep*...............................................................................................................................................
  14. i used to have atlas dreams lol.. i sleep talk and id talk to my gf about the raids i was on and how i hate running out of vitamins on a raid and forgot the to pack the battle food lol...
  15. I would just like to know what the game plan is. what is the direction planned for the year and onwards? additional questions: 1. how far down the road are tarot cards or has that idea been scrapped? 2. what is going to be done to foster an actual economy? 3. will automated shipping ever be a thing? 4. will non crafted "special" or "rare" items/loot (not just skins and BP's), ever be added to the game? 5. fancy hat
  16. Shit they need to add caves in general. Overhanging rocks and a crevice dont cut it. Need a lawless cave system for close quarters pvp when the 6 shooter comes out. Put special drops and monsters in there to bring in the players. Maybe even a ranking system and titles based on pvp kill count, monster kills and amount of said loot picked up
  17. i personally would love cross play.. would be the fleeting revival of the good ol' times, but with easier targets lmao. unfortunantly, i imagine it wouldnt go smooth, not at all. i doubt xbox could even handle it... look what it does to high end pc rigs with large harbor builds.. let lone what 100+ people would do to a server.. then ya got the aim botters, shotgun snipe kids, macro mouse kids... laying the hurt to the consol casual... would kill xbox atlas faster than the launch of pc atlas.
  18. I feel you, and agree. 1300 hours in and ive had a fun time enduring the alpha with all its flaws and neglectful devs , mainly because of the people i was with more than the content.. or should i say, the lack there of. either they dont play their own game and have never played real MMo's... or someone needs to be fired and bring in some real MMO designers onto the team, in a lead role. though.. id wish you wouldn't give up hope just yet... its the true vets of the game like you and I, that will be putting forward the best suggestions ...even if the devs ignore them like fools that dont give a fuck about their game sometimes. i doesn't hurt to take some long breaks from the game to regain your sanity (like i currently am) or i release my rage at the devs unrelenting neglect on the forums and social media. but, i'm not giving up hope... not yet. consider it @MisterMyztik. Hope is a powerful thing, it may even turn this shitshow around with the year+ we have until atlas exits EA.
  19. thats sick. howd you get that shot? were you getting ate or dead animation when you got that shot? I got this one a few times
  20. it was one power tripping guy who owned the company that i helped start at the very begining of the season, which i kept egging on for being a fuckin inbred canadian with anger issues, that kicked me. ay? wasnt like there was a vote or some shit. which is okay, cause i helped build a top 5 right after that.
  21. no one but my self and my ambition for this game forced me to repeat my self and no effort whatsoever to copy and paste that comment. thanks for asking. well done. such thought out questions.
