    Never reinstalled ARK once since it first released. Never had an issue. Maybe your PC is borking it?

    Well I have added a Steam library while it was updating before, never had an issue.

    Just add the steam library to your other disk. It will download there then put it back to C.

    I have seen it do that when its nearly full as well, like its sorting files to find enough free space. Or if you have Steam on two drives as well.

    I wonder how many people complained that this was too much like a certain game in the beginning but now its just fine to make it like another game because they want it.
